The operator considers it more important to evict "illegally parked" people from his parking spaces than to take care of his guests. And his reactions to criticism on this point speak volumes. Hospitality doesn't work that way.

We were standing at the ice cream stand with our bikes earlier, wanting to order ice cream. We were completely ignored for 3-4 minutes, not even a "hello" or "just a moment, please." Several glances were made in our direction, but we were simply ignored. We've never been there before and will avoid the shop in the future! We don't recommend it.

We actually quite like coming here for the pedal boating. This time, however, it was fully booked, which wasn't a bad thing. However, the owner chased us away after we "only" bought an ice cream and wanted to sit there comfortably. It's a shame, really, because the pedal boating there is always really nice.

The owner is really disrespectful and rude. I was there with my family and had my little dog with me. I just went in with him because I saw a much larger and louder dog there. It turned out to be the owner's friend's dog, and I had to listen to all the insults. What about the rules? If you're the owner, the rules don't apply, and if you're the owner, are you allowed to be disrespectful?

According to the website, it's open in nice weather, but I still found myself standing in front of closed doors in 30°C heat. Update: The operator's cheeky reactions speak volumes! I'm not even aware that we've spoken in person. Given your behavior, I'm not keen on that, and I can assure you that I'm quite disappointed with the Northeim Lake District anyway and won't be visiting this destination again.

The best restaurant in Germany. I've been to many countries and restaurants. And this is the best! Everything is here. Good atmosphere and service for everything 💯!!! Come!!!

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it to motorcyclists. There's no food here. And you're only allowed to use the seating if you order drinks, which are extremely overpriced. Drinks you bring from outside aren't allowed to be spoiled, otherwise the owner will threaten to throw you out. Only the ambiance deserves four stars.

We visited briefly and had a snack. Of course, it was quite busy on a hot summer day, but the team managed it very well. The snack bar is okay. The ambiance isn't 100% up to scratch, but it's comfortable. We'd happily return for a quick visit.

From a travel and restaurant expert: I've been there before, and the food was very good, especially the ambiance (photos speak for themselves). But this time, there was a surprise – there's no longer a restaurant, only for parties of 50 or more (?). Ice cream and drinks are still available, though.

The atmosphere was nice as always. They're supposed to be open until 8 p.m. on a Sunday. Unfortunately, after 7 p.m., you feel like you're supposed to leave. Otherwise, top-notch.

Located 3 minutes from the highway exit, this lovely beach bar has no food at 2 p.m. Expensive drinks. The service staff is very unfriendly and dismissive. Better to drive past. It's a shame.

We were registered for the schnitzel buffet with 50 people. The food was okay, but half of the group had to leave the restaurant hungry. The "buffet" wouldn't have been enough for 30 people. All bowls were empty and nothing was refilled even when asked. For €23.50 per person, the food was simply not enough.

Our bike tour had the Northeim Lake District as its destination. We used the outdoor location and were pleasantly surprised. A feeling of beach and sea...deck chairs and white sand covered the shore. Very appealing and relaxing. The service was also very attentive and friendly. Since we only had hot drinks, I can't comment on the food.

Germany is often unfriendly to children. 😬 OK BUT: As a boss, being arrogant about this with other barely existing guests right in front of you is another matter. Once and never again. Outside wow. Inside yuck😅🫣

Wonderfully located oasis for relaxation with a lake view and a sandy beach. Kitchen very good and attentive, friendly service. Recommendation: Jägerschnitzel with fries and salad!

A great location, we sat in the beautiful outdoor area right by the lake in sunny weather. We enjoyed it excellently, including the espresso after the meal. The not exactly low price is justified given the high quality of the food. We'll definitely be back.

Ich verstehe absolut, dass man für Verzehr vorbestellen muss.Die Location ist der Hammer -ICH kann das wertschätzen. Das Essen war mega. Ok, ob der Aperol nun wirklich 9,- € kosten muss bleibt strittig, aber wer kann , der kann ;-) . Ich wünsche Familie Bender definitiv weiterhin ein so gutes Händchen für Gastronomie. As a snack, we ate a delicious Pizza Sucuc and enjoyed a beer and an alkfree drink Ipanema in the beach bar. Very friendly and attentive staff. A highlight on the way through after a refreshing swim in the lake where the bar is located.😊

The prices are overpriced. After all, it is Northeim and not Sylt. On Sylt I can even get white wine cheaper. I was also asked what I wanted to do on the lake. After I said SUP paddling I was charged 6 euros for using the lake, which I stupidly paid. It was my first time there and I didn't know that this rip-off was illegal. Apparently the restaurant needs it.... Change to my review: After a long search, I found a fee schedule for the city of Northeim. The tariff for SUP is really 6€. In this regard, I am revising my statement. However, I was apparently the only one who paid this fee. Otherwise, I stand by my opinion.

You need a shore, the sand and the sunshine and you have everything for a perfect location. Everything was represented here. Minimum turnover for the beach chairs was a little exaggerated, but with 2 drinks you get there anyway. The Service is helpful and nice. Gladly again 👍

Were here for the second time, the first time on the way home from the Baltic Sea vacation and now for dinner on the weekend trip to Hamburg. You can't get enough of the great location, it's simply wonderful. The quality of the food is also great, but unfortunately the prices are slightly exorbitant for the region. A piece of wheat for €6.30 is more than steep; you don't pay that in Hamburg, Frankfurt or Munich. You should reconsider your pricing policy despite the first-class location.

Incredibly beautiful location right on the motorway - we wouldn't have thought of it. The restaurant has a modern, industrial interior and you can sit inside or outside with a view of the lake. Outside next to the terrace is a white sandy beach with loungers and tables - ideal for enjoying and drinking a wine or cocktail. Dogs are allowed, but not on the beach. You can also rent boats on site. The menu is small, but it tastes amazing. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There are plenty of parking spaces on site - but there is a charge from Monday to Saturday. The toilets are super clean. Wheelchair-accessible entrance - everything is level up to the restaurant, then there are 2 steps to the terraces. (I'm not sure whether the terraces outside are wheelchair accessible) Absolutely recommended!

It's a shame you can't give 0 stars! I'm not usually the kind of person who immediately writes a review after a bad experience. I realize that people have bad days and aren't machines, but our last visit here was subpar. Not for the first time, the service here is particularly negative. On our last visit, however, the unfriendliness and audacity took on completely different characteristics. The location is nice, but that's really the only positive thing. The owner in particular seems to choose his guests based on his nose. Friends of ours weren't allowed to buy ice cream because they weren't children. We were told you had to take at least 3 scoops and nothing less than 3 scoops would be sold. The whole situation was so absurd that now all I can do is laugh about it. I wanted to order a cappuccino outside and my girlfriend wanted two scoops of ice cream. The employee starts preparing our order while Mr. Bender came and whispered something to his employee. He then turned to us and told us that we could only get 3 scoops of ice cream, but that was too much for my friend (not in terms of price but in terms of quantity) and in terms of sustainability, she didn't want to just throw a scoop away, so she decided then nothing to order. My cappuccino was already ready and I paid as normal. We then went to the lounge chairs. Then Mr. Bender quickly followed us and made a crazy scene. How rude we would be. You can't just sit down here without ordering something. After my friend said that she would have loved to eat two scoops of ice cream, we were almost laughed at because that wasn't enough money. Honestly, maybe we would have liked to order something else. Especially since a scoop of ice cream doesn't make a huge difference in price. There is no sign nor were we informed when ordering that there is a minimum order value. I was asked if I really wanted to sit down here and drink my cappuccino. We were rude and he wouldn't let our rules be imposed on him. The conversation was absurd. In the end I wasn't allowed to drink my cappuccino, it was taken back! Great performance Mr. Bender!

Cool location, really chilled out, but the service was a bit slow

On Saturday I was in the outdoor area of ​​the lakeside terraces and wanted to eat ice cream and drink a cappuccino with a friend. I was informed on site that you were only allowed to eat 3 balls and not 2 balls as I had requested. However, there was no sign or other information about a minimum consumption amount. 3 scoops are too many for me personally and in the interests of sustainability I have refrained from ordering too many and having to throw something away. My friend ordered a cappucino. When we wanted to sit down on the terrace by the water, I was rudely asked to order something or to leave the restaurant if we didn't eat at least 10 euros together. I pointed out to the owner that I wanted two scoops of ice cream, but he made me eat three or leave. I should play by his “rules” (original sound) or I have to leave. I pointed out to him that there was no sign anywhere about a minimum consumption amount and that my friend had ordered it regularly. We both left the restaurant. Due to the non-existent hospitality and the rough treatment of customers, I won't be coming back and can't recommend the restaurant to anyone. This is my first comment on Google, but I think others should be informed about the inhospitability at this restaurant.

I would have liked to give a different review here, but unfortunately seniors who want a senior plate are not welcome in the restaurant. I wanted to make a reservation for 9 people on a Wednesday, but when I asked that we "only" take senior citizens' plates, I was told we don't do that, we have a new concept. Just sad.

Statement from the boss, whom the waiter brought in specifically to tell us that we (4 adults and 3 children aged 7) are allowed to rent a pedal boat as an exception, but that we should not eat or drink something in the beach bar afterwards, because Children dig holes and can't behave🤣... And children are annoying anyway, that parents even bring their children in strollers etc... Incredible! Well, we left the restaurant without a word and had a wonderful day at Seeburger See and were happy to spend our money there. Never this place again!!!!

We were on the way home from the Baltic Sea to the Black Forest and decided on the lakeside terraces based on good reviews. Unfortunately the east exit was closed and we went out west and drove back a few km and were not disappointed. It's really beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Always my pleasure.

Das Ambiente ist ja Top👍🏻 Aber jetzt komm‘s, da kommt ein dahergelaufene Kellner … und sagt, das die Liegestühle am Strand nur bis 80 kg zugelassen sind, und wenn man schwerer ist, hat man Probleme da wieder rauszukommen was schon mal eine Lüge ist! Wenn man aber so ein Restaurant führt, muss man auch an die leicht schwergewichtigen denken, und nicht nur an die HUNGERLEIDER die kaum was ESSEN. Sowas ist einfach nur KRANK, und ist eine absolute Beleidigung gegenüber denen, die ein leichten Übergewicht sind!!! Darum sage ich euch, dieses Restaurant, ist bei einer Kundenbewertung auf einer Skala von 1 - 10 eine GLATTE zwei - Dieses Restaurant ist nicht zu empfehlen, da gibt es bessere Restaurants, wo der Kunde KÖNIG ist. Der Kunde ist der Arbeitgeber, und bringt das Geld in Haus, und nicht anders herum.

My granddaughter and I were there today. I have to say - it was wonderful! Very nice outdoor area (we felt like we were on vacation on the beach), nice service and great cheesecake. We'd love to come back!

Das Lokal ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. Allerdings habe ich selten so unfreundlichen und lustlosen Service erlebt. Man kommt sich als Gast leider nicht willkommen vor, aber so werden sie in Ruhe altern. So wie es als Wunsch ja auch draußen dran steht. Viel Erfolg.

Erst nur Getränke bestellt, was dem Inhaber zu wenig war. Nach seiner Aussage, gibt es bald einen Mindestverzehr. Auf Nachfrage 2 Kugeln Eis zu bestellen, wurde uns gesagt, nur für Kinder. Solche Geschäfte sollte man absolut meiden. Dazu noch unfreundlich und Dreck wo man hinschaut. Uns sieht man hier nie wieder.

Wenn man die Autobahn im Hintergrund ausblenden kann, ist es ein cooler Ort mit Urlaubsfeeling...

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort. Der Service war zu Beginn gut und wir bekamen schnell die Getränke. Das Schnitzel das ich bestellt hatte war ok. Die Pilze dazu waren roh aber mit Sauce bedeckt. Die Pommes hatten sämtlich dunkle Stellen. Denke da hätten ein paar Cent mehr Wareneinsatz Wunder gewirkt. Die Krönung war aber die Erklärung bzgl der rohen Pilze zum Jägerschnitzel: Die Bedienung wollte mir ernsthaft erklären das der Gargrad von Pilzen eben Geschmackssache wäre. Spätestens da war uns klar das wir hier nicht wieder essen möchten.

Hier passt einfach alles zusammen. Einzigartiges Ambiente, super leckeres Essen und sehr höflicher, zuvorkommender Service. Wir haben hier unsere Traumhochzeit gefeiert und können es nur weiterempfehlen. Die Abstimmung war sehr unkompliziert und herzlich, wir fühlen uns jederzeit willkommen. Ein in unseren Augen perfektes Gesamtpaket- und das zu einem fairen Preis.
