Very, very tasty... nice to sit outside

In the middle of the forest. Food top. Staff understaffed, but very friendly and helpful. Enough parking spaces. Be sure to reserve. There is also 1 beautiful covered terrace

Food was OK. However, the gyros were far too seasoned and more likely to come from the pan than from the skewer.

Today I had dinner at the Schützenhaus again after a long time and, as always, the food was absolutely delicious! :) Plus the beautiful ambience on the terrace - just great! Today the restaurant was very busy and the service staff had a lot on their plate - but the service was still great. The only thing I have to complain about is certain guests who didn't know how to behave and were extremely unfriendly and rude to the service staff.

Very tasty and good food. Great location with children's playground. Unfortunately the wait today was 1 hour for drinks and another hour for food. The service was unfriendly when you asked in a friendly manner when you could order and waited a long time, even though you had ordered a table an hour ago and the 85-year-old birthday child was slowly starving.

Large selection of dishes, typical dishes from German-Greek cuisine. Reasonable price-performance ratio, meals can also be taken away. Service could be a little more attentive.

Unfortunately, after our previous visits, we were very disappointed this time. The service was beyond bad. Glasses at our table and at other tables were empty and no one cared. The taste of the food was ok but nothing more. Special requests could not be fulfilled and the waiting time for the food was relatively long. I hope that the service can be better managed again in the future, otherwise it would be the last time we were here.

Beautifully located on the edge of the forest, very pleasant in summer. The food seems to place emphasis on quantity and large portions. Although I could imagine and it looks like the kitchen could do more. Price performance cheap. The ambience matches the forest environment, indoor and outdoor space. Large parking lot.

Mega ambience with a great playground for the kids, you can sit outside (outside or covered), located right next to the forest, super nice staff and the food tastes really delicious... And it's also a great price. There were 17 of us and everyone enjoyed it... We will be back

Wedding celebration on June 15, 2024 What can I say except - Wonderful food - Perfect team - Friendly and welcoming - Every wish was fulfilled. My guests were all satisfied and praised the food. Price performance ratio was great. For me, the entire team at the Schützenhaus were service-oriented and handled everything in a friendly and professional manner, even in unusual situations. My husband and I recommend the Schützenhaus for any celebration, you will see us often. Menu- House starter plate - The eggplants and mushrooms are my favorite - Main course of the grill plate with an extra request of beef liver Side dishes: fries, rice and salad. Dessert - unfortunately no one ordered it - because we were all too full and the wedding cake still had to be eaten It was plenty and we were able to take a lot with us.

We've eaten there twice in the last few weeks and loved it each time. The staff is extremely friendly, the prices are not overpriced and the seating is very nice

We were there on a rainy Saturday evening, but on a warm summer evening it's definitely nice to sit under the shady trees. Attentive and quick service. Our order came after a few minutes. Food is just average standard: gyros under raw onions with fries, grilled meat with meat, calamari... everything with tzatziki. You can do it.

Went for dinner today on May 25th, 2024. Service was super nice and polite. Food was top as expected. Very attentive and quick even though there was a lot going on. I would love to come back again.👍😘

I can only recommend it. Update May 18, 2024 Today we ate there again after a long time. Unfortunately it doesn't taste like it used to. Prices have increased, which is absolutely okay, but I don't think reducing the portion size is ideal. The service was okay, but laughing and being a little friendlier would be better. There is a lot of room for improvement.

Great Greek, lots of different dishes. Very, very nice staff and very child-friendly. There are super cute plates in the shape of Mickey Mouse, which even makes some adults jealous 😊 And if the kids eat faster, as always. There's also a playground right next door. With slide, seesaws, swings etc. There is plenty of fun and tired children are ensured 😅. The only thing that was a bit stupid for a moment but can definitely be solved 😉 Unfortunately, there is only one changing table in the women's toilet, which is a bit uncomfortable for fathers with their small children. But otherwise, kudos to the topic.

Super delicious food, the Crete skewer with garlic is awesome! The fries are also really good and, above all, crispy, which unfortunately isn't always the case. What we found unfortunate and incomprehensible, however, was that you can't replace the fries with croquettes. The ambience is really nice, especially on the terrace with a view of the forest and the cockchafers fluttering around there :-)

My family, I and my partner have been coming to the Schützenhaus for over three decades now... Unfortunately I have to say that the food has deteriorated considerably. I'm really not being petty, but when the people at the table say after the main course: "It's a shame, they would have only eaten more starters." Unfortunately, the visit went wrong. Unfortunately, since the change of ownership, it hasn't been the same experience. To describe it briefly: The outdoor areas, the terrace and the indoor area are still great, although the noise is very high in places, especially in the interior, but that has always been a minor matter up to now. The young ladies in service do a great job and are courteous, but unfortunately it is now the case that some orders are not always understood perfectly, which leads to longer waiting times when there is a lot of activity, which is of course understandable as it is strenuous work. The starters are all recommended, especially the grilled pepperoni and taramas are great! The salad for the main course is also fresh, crunchy and great for the first hunger. Unfortunately, the main courses cannot support the previous... the rice as a side dish is bland and not the usual tomato rice, but rather peppered with butter and dill, the "grilled meat" (pork neck, turkey breast and meatballs) was weak and overly seasoned in a "German" way, which ultimately ensured that everything tasted the same, gyros...well acceptable. At the end there was the statement that hot food was still served in the evening around 8:30 p.m., but mocha was no longer possible?! It's a shame about the potential and what once made up the Schützenhaus.

As always: Very good food, friendly, attentive service and a great setting (beer garden on the edge of the forest). Which is why it unfortunately gets more and more crowded from year to year...

Last Friday I went to the Schützenhaus restaurant in Sandhausen for the first time with my family and we were really excited! We received a warm welcome, which I find lacking in many restaurants these days. The food came out quickly and it was really, really delicious. The atmosphere was great! From the music to the lighting, just great. Price-performance ratio is absolutely acceptable even after the VAT increase and appropriate for the quality.

Was back in the Schützenhaus today for the first time in 3 years, apparently there has been a change of ownership since then. The quality of the food has deteriorated, gyros tasted like frozen goods, portions are significantly smaller than back then and, as with all restaurants, prices have skyrocketed. Back then he was one of the best Greeks in the area, but now unfortunately it's just below average 😐

Delicious Greek food in a nice atmosphere and friendly service. We sat inside, but when it gets warmer we'll also visit the beer garden ;-)

Great Greek👌🏽💯 Food is top & restaurant is very nice. There is a large covered terrace (which can also be closed and heated) as well as a huge, beautiful garden area in the middle of the idyllic forest and next to the stadium😍 Great ambience, also thanks to the super friendly and courteous staff, who try to make your stay warm and attentive accompany. Prices are comparatively top. Not overpriced or outrageous. Absolutely recommended.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

VAT went up again, side salad was small and watery, main course was good, incorrect order (wrong meal, liver was missing), Greek yoghurt was a laughing matter, payment process only via real-time transfer or cash payment

The food was very tasty and arrived incredibly quickly. The price-performance ratio is also good here. There are parking spaces directly in front of the house. It's difficult to find because it's a bit remote

The menu from the predecessor was probably adopted, but the quality was far from it!

It was the first time I was back in the “Schützenhaus” restaurant since the change in ownership. The menu from the predecessor was probably adopted, but the quality was far from it! The calamari salad, which was an absolute culinary hit in its predecessor, is now a salad with fried squid rings, Chinese cabbage, balsamic vinegar (...Greek?) and croutons (...Greek?). A guest ordered a schnitzel... Two apparently ready-made frozen schnitzels arrived with fries and ready-made sauce. I also didn't get a feeling of hospitality from the service (at least from the ladies); you were managed. A pity.

Food delicious! Aaabut: Miserable unfriendly service. Also inflexible. If you want a different side dish suggested (in my case croquettes instead of fries) you have to pay €3.50 extra. Although croquettes and fries on the menu actually cost the same. Unfortunately, changing diapers are only possible in the ice-cold toilets. Baby chair was reserved by phone, but was not taken into account and I had to drag it up a few steps from the hallway with the child in my arms. There is no ouzo for the bill.

Solide. Wer Grillgerichte mag, ist hier richtig. Das Essen hat wenig mit dem zu tun, was in Griechenland zu Hause gekocht wird und was man als gesundes, mediterranes Essen bezeichnet.

Wir kommen regelmäßig ins Restaurant, leider haben wir das Gefühl, dass die Portionen immer kleiner werden. Ich habe heute den Chefteller gegessen, leider habe ich kein Foto gemacht. Bohnen & Karotten waren maximal 2 Gabeln die Pommes schienen auch abgezählt, das Fleisch war hervorragend, beim grünen Salat wurde wohl das Dressing vergessen gemischt mit den Karotten war es ok. Meine Begleitung hatte den Kretaspieß, hier das gleiche Bild, Fleisch sehr gut, Pommes definitiv nicht ausreichend, Salat wie oben beschrieben. Wir sind etwas unzufrieden nach Hause gefahren, da es schon das 2. Mal war, dass die Portionen so klein ausgefallen sind, heute einfach eine Rückmeldung.

Leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen! Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Im Wald gelegen und mit kleinem Spielplatz, der aber schon in die Jahre gekommen ist.

Etwas abgelegenes Restaurant mit großer Terasse und leckerem Essen in einer sehr großen Auswahl für kleines Geld. Lediglich der Beilagensalat war etwas lieblos und einseitig.

Einfach schön hier. Sind zufällig hier gelandet, aber definitiv nicht das letzte mal. Sehr freundlich und sehr lecker. Hier wird Service groß geschrieben. Die Kinder fanden den Spielplatz auch sehr toll. Vielen Dank

Die Preise sind angemessen und das Essen ist meinem Gaumen nach lecker. Der Service hat flott gearbeitet und war freundlich. Erfreulich ist auch, dass die Tische im Außenbereich größtenteils mit einem angenehmen Abstand voneinander aufgestellt sind.

Wir waren Sonntag Abend gegen 20 Uhr dar und wollte essen. Wir wollten aber draußen sitzen. Kellnerin gefragt und Antwort war. müssen das Tisch putzen. Wir sind dann gegangen. Ich hatte das Tisch selbst geputzt !!!
