Authentic and delicious home-style dishes in generous portions and at fair prices. We had Swabian schnitzel, veal schnitzel, and cheese spaetzle—each with a small salad and Alpirsbacher Export beer on tap. If we could offer a little tip: perhaps you could offer the same menu in the lovely beer garden as in the restaurant—or at least the vegetable dishes. Then my wife would come with you even more often ;)!

On the first visit, the salad plate was smeared with dried-on salad dressing, giving the impression that the salad had been placed in a used plate. On the second visit (an 80th birthday), a maggot crawled out of a salad plate, and the waiter immediately poured a glass of water over a young lady's cell phone and pants. The food was brought out so unevenly that the vegetable platters were already cold by the time the rest of the food arrived. The three Arab male waiters wore casual clothes and were pretty relaxed about everything. The men's restroom was so dirty that the staff had to clean it every now and then so someone could use it. Absolutely not recommended.

Delicious food, friendly service

Absolutely enormous quantities, spectacular value for money. The schnitzels are very good, the meatballs are worth it, and a type of cannelloni called Maultaschen was also delicious. We had leftover food, and the guy saw we were already in a hurry and offered us a takeaway. It's absolutely worth it, and most dishes come with salads and an extra side dish. Such quantities are hard to find in Spain.

The schnitzel was excellently prepared, and the portions were truly generous. Given the fair prices, the value for money is absolutely spot on. One criticism, however, concerns the menu: The term "Zigeunerschnitzel" (gypsy schnitzel) is discriminatory and outdated. Especially with the recent reissue of the menu with updated prices, it would have been easy to switch to a more respectful alternative like "Paprikaschnitzel." This missed opportunity is regrettable. The rustic ambience fits well with the restaurant's down-to-earth concept and underscores its cozy character. Overall, it was a successful visit with tasty food at reasonable prices.

Hello. I went there for the first time yesterday, based on a recommendation! The beer garden was quite good, and the service was excellent. The food came quickly. People kept asking for more drinks. I had to order an XXL schnitzel. It was also great. Except for one thing: the cream sauce. Absolutely not. The gravy was great. Then stretch it with soy sauce or something. It would have been a good cream sauce! Then everything would have been perfect.

Anyone looking for Swabian cuisine will find a perfect match at Schmoll. Homemade Maultaschen (raw ravioli), the finest roast beef with onions, freshly prepared dishes, generous portions, everything your heart desires. If you don't like the sometimes rougher style, just ignore it. What's important to me is that places like this still exist, and at fair prices, too.

It's so lovely to sit in the garden and enjoy good food. It's always a highlight to meet my girlfriend there for dinner. I can't say anything about the hotel; I've only ever been to the restaurant.

Stopped at the Schmoll restaurant during a bike ride and had a very good meal. Very good value for money and very pleasant seating in the beer garden. The Swabian schnitzel is highly recommended.

Went there for dinner. The wait was very long. But the food was excellent.

The XXL portions are large and delicious. They came with croquettes and a side salad. The service - The waitress was rather lackluster, and I would reconsider any special requests. She also spent a lot of time at the counter on her personal cell phone, texting, and was probably more important than the guests. All in all, the food was excellent, but the service could still be improved.

We were here for a birthday dinner, and we have to say, we'll definitely be back! The staff caters to every request, and you feel visibly comfortable and welcome. The food is AMAZING every time! We always look forward to eating a good schnitzel here (if not the best in the area) and are happy to accept the 25-minute drive for it. I would recommend making a reservation in advance; it's rather difficult to arrive spontaneously. On Sundays in the summer, the terrace across the street is always busy. (The ice cream menu is also very extensive, and the selection is very good.)

The prices are fair, a large portion of schnitzel with a side dish costs just under 18 euros and the portion is more than decent, plus the staff are friendly

Hello Schmoll team. We are from Lörrach (Swiss/French border) and had dinner with your family last week. Excellent cuisine, both in terms of quality and portions. Unfortunately, restaurants like this are rarely found anymore. The older lady told me that she has/had contacts in Badenweiler. Big praise from me and my entire family, or rather Chapeau

We were guests in the restaurant, despite the large group, our food was ready quickly, the portions were large and the taste was okay. It's just a shame that some of us couldn't eat anything because we weren't familiar with gluten-free dishes but didn't seem to be making an effort either. The response to our questions was rather annoyed.

Maultaschen, homemade according to an old family recipe, classically served in a strong meat broth with a salad plate. I felt transported back to the time of my childhood. For me, as an “emigrated” Swabian from the Lower Rhine, it was a real treat. The ambience is just as classic as the dish. The friendly service and cleanliness should be highlighted.

Ordered a salad with ham and cheese, rarely eaten something so tasteless, presented carelessly, ham and cheese have seen better days, dressing was missing. In the beer garden, maybe better in the house?

Rating refers only to the restaurant. After a few years I finally found my way to Entringen again and was looking forward to a delicious dinner. For starters we had the Maultaschen and Flädle soup and for the main course we had the Hawaiian schnitzel with fries and the roast beef with pepper sauce and croquettes. The side salad came before the soups, but the taste was okay. The soups were really very good, especially the broth. The main course was rich, but not outstanding in terms of taste. The schnitzel lacked flavor and the sauce for the roast was more like a white roux than a cream sauce. The roast was cooked to perfection and medium rare as ordered. The service was friendly but not really present. It is therefore not possible to order additional drinks or salt and pepper for the schnitzel. In total we paid €66.60 including 2 drinks, which is completely fine considering the portion size.

Restaurant is nicely decorated. The waitresses are very nice and the schnitzel oasis really blows you away. Nobody can complain about portions that are too small. This restaurant is also unbeatable in terms of price/performance ratio.

We were too far into schnitzel paradise to convince ourselves☺️. The beer garden/terrace is awesome😃 made cozy. The staff is attentive and friendly. The schnitzels are mega and NOT ☝️ for the small appetite. The XXL schnitzel is delicious and yet intense for one person 😉. Otherwise, I can only recommend making a reservation there on the weekend if the weather is nice. In terms of price, everything is absolutely right and worth the money.

Very good schnitzel and a cozy beer garden that invites you to linger

Unfortunately, the service wasn't that good - it was poorly organized and often ran "empty" to the beer garden or back. It all took a very long time. The cutlery didn't come until about 5 minutes after the meal. There were young men/young people hanging around in front of the restaurant. They were probably friends/acquaintances of the service staff. That's probably why they weren't there for the guests. The location outside in the beer garden is very nice. The food was delicious. The vegetarian selection is very manageable. Nothing is vegan.

Large restaurant with home-style food, some in XXL portions. The meat and the side dishes were of good quality, unfortunately the sauces were a bit watery, so the bang was missing. As expected! Typical dishes cooked very well. Really excellent meat. Fast and friendly waiters! Definitely try the famous XXL cutlet!! It's not a starred restaurant so don't expect well-prepared tables. But in these places you go for the conviviality and you don't look at these things. Good food and good beer. That's for sure. Good prices for the quality of the food served. And then in summer it is pleasant to eat in the garden.

I recently visited Schnitzelparadies and absolutely loved it! The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing evening with family and friends. The highlight of the evening was of course the schnitzel. The selection of different types of schnitzel and side dishes is impressive. I tried the classic Wiener Schnitzel, which was perfectly breaded and fried to perfection. The portion was generous and the meat was tender and juicy. The side dishes were also excellent, especially the fried potatoes and homemade potato salad. The service was friendly and attentive. Our waiter gave us good advice and was always there without being intrusive. Wait times were short and the food was served hot and fresh. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. The prices are more than fair for the quality and size of the portions. Overall, a thoroughly successful evening. I can only recommend the Schnitzelparadies and will definitely come back

Waited in line for 5 minutes when reserving a table. Football results were exchanged in the background. I had simply been forgotten. After calling again there was an apology - but something like that simply shouldn't happen. The food was mediocre. The flatbread soup was very good, the roast roast was rather “okay”. It will stay with this one visit

Unfortunately the taste is not convincing

The food was good but the service wasn't very good as his standard comment was "Sorry, I forgot that". We had an eggshell in the breading of the schnitzel and the schnitzel came without any side dish. When the side dishes came, the schnitzel was already cold. And in front of the restaurant there were young men who cheaply hit on my 14 year old daughter. So we're definitely not going there anymore.

Schmutzig, kein Toilettenpapier! Kaputtes Geschirr mit Macken. Wir aßen Eisbecher auf der Terrasse und als diese gebracht wurden, war alles verkleckert. Auf unsere Bitte hin nach Servietten hieß es: oh Mann, wir haben hier genug zu laufen, dann gehen Sie doch rein. Beim bezahlen, ewig darauf gewartet, bis mal ein Kellner kam, gab es keinen Kassenbon, nur eine komplettsumme, die ich zu glauben hatte. Vor 30 Jahren zuletzt da gewesen. Damals wars noch ein toller Familienbetrieb, heute hat „das Schmoll“ leider total nachgelassen….

The review refers only to the restaurant. The food at Schmoll is particularly impressive because of the size of the portions (plate-sized schnitzels). It also tastes good and the prices are fair, even if they are no longer up to date on the website. It's nicer to sit outside than inside. In general, it is advisable to make a reservation because it is almost always busy.

I haven't eaten German so well in a long time😍 The price-performance ratio is very good because not only are the dishes very high quality and tasty, the portions are also really huge, so almost all of us have the leftovers with us Took it home😅 I can highly recommend the schnitzels and the Maultaschen are also really great. I used the Maultaschen in Tübingen sauce, which is similar to Hollandaise sauce but cheesier. The dish was really powerful and my cholesterol level was definitely at an all-time high afterward, but it was just fantastically delicious😅😍 The beer was also very good and the service was very friendly🥰 Anytime again😁
