A very nice place with a rustic ambiance. The quality of the food impressed us. Unfortunately, the long wait times weren't. 45 minutes from ordering to drinks delivery, followed by another hour until the meal, is definitely too long with children! Our server was very nice and attentive, but unfortunately, he was alone and therefore quite busy.

We had reserved a table for four people online at the restaurant a week ago. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we weren't given a table on the terrace, but instead sat in front – on cast-iron folding chairs and a table – all of which were wobbly. After three failed attempts to find a flat surface, my friend asked the waitress if it would be possible to move us to one of the three free tables on the terrace. Unfortunately, according to the waitress, it wasn't possible, as we had reserved an outdoor area, and this was the outdoor area. (Coming from a restaurant background myself, I know that changing our reservation would have been easy… especially since the tables were still free an hour later.) The waiter took our drink orders, explained again that changing our reservations wasn't possible, and if the wobbling bothered us, we could take the menu (made of wood 🥺) to compensate. When we pointed out that the menu was mounted on a wooden board, he simply said it didn't matter at all… but we then asked for beer mats… 45 minutes after our first After ordering our drinks, which the young man at the counter brought quickly and courteously, we asked the waiter to come to our table, as my husband wanted to order another beer, which the waiter said would be no problem. I asked if it would be possible to place our food order... He said, "Oh, haven't you done that yet?" He looked up our previous orders, took the food, and my husband quickly asked if he'd ordered the beer too... His answer: "No, I didn't hear it." My husband laughed briefly and reminded him that it was the first item on our order... 15 minutes later, the food arrived... very tasty and a big shout-out to the kitchen... I hope you got the tip!... My friend then unfortunately crushed her finger badly while pulling up her chair, and I asked the waiter to bring us some ice to cool it down... Nothing happened for 10 minutes, except for a conversation between the waiter couple in the entrance... When I stood up and approached him, he ran to the counter, out the other exit (basically running away from me), and when he came back toward me, my "Thank you!" wasn't really meant seriously anymore... Up to this point... really bad service!!! Thank God we only experienced something like that at the Beaver Restaurant during our entire vacation... ...but the worst came when we ordered the bills...suddenly relatively nice and friendly, or perhaps expecting a tip, the waiter explained to us that 170 meals go through here every day, the boss couldn't care less that there were only two people in the kitchen, he had to manage everything and endure people's displeasure when he sent them away despite free tables... ...when paying, we asked again why the rebooking wasn't possible... Answer: "I didn't feel like it, and after "he" (he meant my husband...) was so rude to me, I definitely wasn't going to anymore..." Dear boss, your waiter has repeatedly emphasized that he's only here until the end of August, and that he and his fiancée couldn't care less... but in the interest of customer service, it would really be better not to keep this waiter on for a single day longer!!!! Please let us know if you have a great service team again, as you have in recent years... then we'd love to come back!👍

Our visit to the restaurant was unfortunately disappointing. We had to wait over an hour for our food. When the food finally arrived, one of the dishes was extremely oversalted. For the rather high prices, we expected higher quality and better service. It's a shame, as the location is actually nice, but we won't be coming back. The restrooms were out of paper towels, which was annoying.

A very nice place, or rather a restaurant, next to your lock. The food, service, and ambiance are excellent. You can tell the people are passionate about what they do, as well as the very pleasant hospitality. A small but very fine menu with very high quality! Reservations are necessary; we watched about 10-12 guests asking in vain for a table. We'd be happy to come back. :-)

If the service is bad, at least there are free drinks.

It took us three attempts to reserve a table. They weren't able to swap us to a table where our large dog would have more space, and even after we asked, the dog wasn't given water. The food was poorly seasoned, and no more seasonings were offered.

We had a pleasant evening. The two waiters were clearly overwhelmed. The prices are high, but the quality is excellent. The fish solyanka is way overpriced. Better to order two small ones—the supposedly large one is way, way, way too expensive. In conclusion, one star deducted for the waiters and one for the soup.

We spontaneously made a reservation for dinner that afternoon, which is recommended, as the restaurant was packed. The service was friendly and quick. The food was fantastic; everything is just right here. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

A thoroughly successful evening in a restaurant that impresses not only with excellent food, but also with exceptional service. Upon arrival, we were greeted very warmly and served courteously. The dishes are all organic, lovingly prepared, and a true highlight in terms of taste – fresh, creative, and simply delicious! The professionalism of the staff is particularly noteworthy: During our visit, a large group arrived with many small children who were quite lively and loud, initially dominating the entire room. However, the team reacted quickly and solution-oriented – a separate table was quickly organized for the family so they could feel comfortable and we could continue to enjoy our evening in a relaxed atmosphere. High praise for this confident and friendly way of handling unexpected situations. We will definitely be back!

We ate there half a week ago, with a reservation, of course! They explained to us that we had booked our table outside (which wasn't mentioned anywhere in the reservation). On top of that, it had rained shortly before, so the cushions outside were wet. Despite asking, we had to sit outside with our baby. And of course, it started to rain! There were still seats available, but we still had to stay outside with the baby. I thought that was a real shame!! The food was good and plentiful.

We had reserved online and received a confirmation. When we arrived, in pouring rain, we were told that we had reserved outside (it's done through the reservation software and isn't visible) and there was no room in the dining room. A solution was found, but the schedule urgently needs to be revised. The food was delicious and the wait time was reasonable. The young staff were very friendly. Definitely recommended when the weather is nice.

Das Essen sehr gut, wie schon vor 3 Jahren als wir hier waren. Unverständlich war das neue Reservierungssystem. Geöffnet wurde 17 Uhr und wir hatten für 17:30 Uhr reserviert. Da wir schon 17 Uhr da waren, wurden wir nochmal weggeschickt. Das Restaurant war fast leer. Wir hätten auch gewartet mit der Essenbestellung... Als wir dann zum Essen da waren, war es weder hektisch noch hatte die Bedienung viel zu tun. Wir verstehen den Anspruch, dass man sich gut um Gäste kümmern will, aber wegschicken geht gar nicht. Schon gar nicht, wenn der Laden fast leer ist. Wünschenswert wäre noch, dass man Tee auch als Glas bekommen kann, Kanne ist gleich ziemlich viel. Wir kommen trotzdem gern wieder.

Why tables have to be reserved here is beyond my comprehension – everything's empty, and you can sit inside in beautiful weather – please, dear management – ​​first come, first served – everyone would be very happy about that! Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, a real insider tip! So good food, a young team and absolutely great cuisine. The food was excellent, organic and fresh, something that doesn't come around often anymore. The location, even with a small hotel and organic shop, is very quiet. On the drive home at dusk, please be careful, there are lots of deer, they don't know that they are on the road! Absolutely recommended, we wish the team all the best 👍

Very tasty food in beautiful surroundings. Service was super friendly despite being “Full House”. This resulted in a slightly longer waiting time. We didn’t care, we had time. Gladly again at any time.

Great food, the iced tea tastes fantastic at warm temperatures. Unfortunately nothing for the children and by that I don't mean the food but rather the location.

Today we wanted to have a birthday dinner here. We also announced this when making the telephone reservation. Also that we might arrive a few minutes earlier or later. No problem, please report to the bar. A table is waiting for you. When we got there, we ladies wanted to go to the toilet first. I haven't experienced a toilet smelling like a toilet in a long time. I already missed the food here. We were greeted at registration at 11:51 a.m. by a gentleman with a picture of a machine that is not used in peacetime, in the Palestinian colors on his T-shirt: sit down somewhere, we don't open until 12 and then another 10 minutes then you can order. In the light mirror you could see that the tables had not yet been wiped down (glass edges, grease stains) and I only touched the menu, which had been carelessly dropped on the table, at a quick pace. Sticky clipboard, the menu card full of dog ears, 4 coffee stains, 3 sauce stains and 1 large grease stain. Unfortunately, all the cards looked similar. When we were so bold and asked for the offer card, we were told: it's there. Not recommended! We went.

We didn't feel welcome, the cleanliness left something to be desired, the tables were stained, as was the menu, which, with dog ears and grease stains, really invited us to stay. The “absolute” friendliness of the staff who welcomed us was underground. We had two innkeepers from Franconia with us, who unfortunately weren't enthusiastic and encouraged us to leave, which we finally did. At 12 o'clock on Sundays with the words: "We are not open yet", a poor menu that does not deserve this word and the behavior tinged with coldness, this location has shot into the red for Franconian innkeepers who have been running this "business" for more than 30 years. They were on our behalf to select good restaurants and hotels for holidaymakers from Franconia and to recommend them to travelers at the local tourist office. Unfortunately, this location fell through with a bang. There is a lot of room for improvement.

Reservations are recommended. The food is delicious, the prices are justified and the staff is nice and considerate. I recommend every water hiker to stop here. The farm shop next door offers everything you could use on the water. From band-aids to fishing gear to food and tents, everything is there. There are free hygiene products for the girls in the toilet.

We've been here several times. Always good. Unfortunately this time there was no fish except the fish solyanke. Therefore a star deduction. The Solianka is also very, very tasty. We'll be back and hope for 🐟

One of our favorite places in the region with delicious food and nice seats. Located directly at the Diemitz lock. Regional products are used in the food and meat comes from our own Galloway cattle. Burgers and steak are very good. recommend. Vegetarian burger could have been a little juicier. Good portions and extensive menu. Reservations can be useful in high season. There is a small shop next door where you can buy your own products (sausage/meat) and many everyday items.

I agree with the positive reviews, I don't think I need to write anything more about it, the restaurant simply speaks for itself. We were cycling to Demitzer Schleuse, and of course we passed here. Surprising to discover such an atmosphere in this “remote” spot. Although the restaurant was very busy, the service seemed to take the whole thing in a very relaxed and stress-free manner. A big compliment from me. Great service!

We had planned our family reunion at the restaurant yesterday. We were warmly welcomed, the food was very good (although expensive - but organic). Extra requests such as children's portions and robber plates were also taken into account, which unfortunately is no longer a given today. We always enjoy coming to the Scheune restaurant (Diemitz). Whether for coffee and cake or for dinner. Can definitely be recommended. The homemade lemonade is also great.

Tolles Konzept, sehr leckeres Essen (Zander. Schnitzel, Gulasch, Burger) und super freundliches Personal. Wir waren diesen Urlaub schon zweimal hier und kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr freundliches junges höfliches Team. Immer für ein kurzes Gespräch bereit und alles sehr ungezwungen. Auch der Bioladen hat alles was man brauch, auch für Nicht Bio Leuten. Macht weiter so, ihr seit ein Klasse Team. Preise sind in Ordnung im Restaurant, wie überall in der Region. Unbedingt die Fisch Suppe probieren.

Sehr gute ausgewogene und nicht überladene Auswahl und Essen mit Fleisch, Fisch und vegetarisch. Eis und Kuchen ebenfalls erhältlich sowie selbst gemachte Limonaden. Das Essen ist Klasse, insbesondere der Fisch mit Sesamkruste und das Rinderfilet mit super Gewürzmischung angerichtet! Das Personal ist nett, zuvorkommend und schnell. Sehr sehr freundliches und aufgestelltes Servicepersonal obwohl wir 4 Minuten vor Küchenschluss eingetroffen sind. Hausteelimonade war ebenso wie der grosse Salat mit Zitrone...Sauce sehr lecker. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Hunde wurden ebenso freundlich empfangen wie wir.5 Punkte!

Super tasty vegan food in Brandenburg!

eigentlich insgesamt 5 Sterne wert - Uns befremdete jedoch, dass auf der Terrasse, auf der wir gern gesessen hätten, alle Tische reserviert waren, dort aber während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts so gut wie niemand Platz nahm. Im Lokal selbst hatten wir dafür gute musikalische Untermalung. Die Bedienung hatte etwas Anlaufschwierigkeiten, war dann aber sehr in Ordnung. Das Ambiente fanden wir sehr ansprechend und für die Umgebung passend. Top sind auch die Toiletten und der angrezende Bioladen, der auch fürs Camping manches bereithält. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
