Restaurant Santorini in Bad Wildungen

This shop is just "underground", has better snack food character and may have run past Greek food. The service is also a complete disaster, it seems as if they don't feel like working there. People, stay away from this store!!!!

I don't know if the chef had a bad day or if the food is always that bad. But to be honest, I've rarely had such a bad meal at a Greek restaurant. Starter: Grilled pepperoni, the three that weren't burnt tasted good. Main course: Lamb was very good, the rest of the grill plate was just bad.

Delicious food was at our table quickly and I can only recommend the very nice staff!

Simply disappointing! The chicken breast was dry and tough and carelessly prepared. The fries were good. We also heard the same opinion about the food from the table next door. The salad as a starter was very little and consisted only of iceberg lettuce. The staff was completely overwhelmed - but still nice, even though there weren't many guests there. The glasses smelled like dishwashing liquid. The menus had a very unpleasant smell. If we had read the reviews beforehand, we could have avoided this disappointment. Ouzo was distributed according to whim. Some guests got one, others didn't. Unfortunately not recommended.

Yes, you can recommend it, but what bothered me a little was the many wasps when the food was served.

We waited a very long time for the menu and drinks. The waiting time for the baked food was acceptable. The food was good, the portion was okay. Then a long wait for the bill. Unfortunately everyone received an ouzo except us. Overall very expandable

We used to enjoy eating here. That has been resolved as of today. The tomato soup was really bad. It tastes even better out of the can. The sheep's cheese was good, but only lukewarm. We can't say anything positive about the two main courses either. Grilled chicken breast in Metaxa sauce was a dead breast that was fried to death on top of that. The gyros were from sometime, but not fresh. The side salads were an insult. A few green lettuce leaves carelessly thrown onto the plate and then drowned in dressing. Ouzo on the house? None. We will never enter this store again.

It's a shame that the old name has continued since the owner changed. One would think that the new owner would want to benefit from the excellent reputation of the old owners. You can see how good this was from the old reviews.

We've been waiting for our food for 1.5 hours. We haven't had any drinks for half an hour. We're totally disappointed. Hopefully the food will at least taste good when it comes

The waiting time in this restaurant is absolutely not responsible! We waited 20 minutes for drinks and more than three quarters of an hour for food!! Only after threatening that we would leave if no food came in the next 15 minutes would we hardly even have the salad!! The food came shortly afterwards and was actually quite good! Staff was reasonably friendly! At the table next to us, after no one came and they got the cards themselves, two people got up and left at the next table and then still no one came to order!!

The starter, a starter plate with various Greek specialties, consisted of fried zucchini slices that were simply cut into different shapes. The main course, bifteki filled with sheep's cheese, were thawed, purchased, pre-made thin slices of minced meat, with a little cheese filling. The very last thing. Service was ok, but the price for this meal was unfortunately overpriced. We sat outside, and the plastic chairs always got stuck in the uneven cobblestones, making it almost impossible to move the already wobbly chair. The view was great. Everywhere you looked there were weeds and unkempt beer gardens

NEVER AGAIN!!!! Completely dirty tablecloths, drinks are only requested after half an hour. The salad and the dishes were presented completely unimaginatively. If there was a legitimate complaint, the waiter would simply turn around and leave. Every euro is spent here for free!!

We waited 70 minutes for our starter and 90 minutes for our main course. The gyros was soggy and lukewarm, the bifteki was small, dry and barely filled. The salad was tiny and unimaginative. The service seemed overwhelmed. The Uzo on the house couldn't save the catastrophe either. Once and never again!

We were there at lunchtime on the weekend 2 weeks ago and each ate a plate of mixed Greek dishes and we BOTH had about 30 minutes. later digestive problems. Something wasn't right. I can't give a recommendation, sorry.

The Greek restaurant “Santorini” offers authentic cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The dishes are fresh and tasty, the service is friendly and attentive. The meze and grilled fish are particularly recommended. A real insider tip for lovers of Greek cuisine!

We can't comment on the food because we didn't get to order in a reasonable time. A large group came after us and we were forgotten.

We used to love going there often, but since the ownership changed the restaurant has been a disaster. Service is terrible, portions have been MUCH smaller and the price/performance ratio is bottomless!! Unfortunately we don't like coming anymore. It's actually a shame that the old owner used to be regular customers...

Toilets were a bit disgusting. Food was okay and meat wasn't badly seasoned. However, if I see slices of cheese on my plate and describe it as gratinated, then that's pretty... well, how should I put it

The food was more bulky than great and I couldn't manage the large portion. The restaurant smelled a bit musty. There were table runners on the tables that had been lying on the table runner for a long time and the cutlery wasn't exactly hygienic. The service was nice and friendly

The staff is very friendly and really tries hard. On my grill plate, the fries were good, the Biffteki was ok, the skewer and the gyros were grilled to death. Far too dry and not flavorfully seasoned. Too much salt. I will try another restaurant on my next visit to Bad Wildungen.

This lunchtime I sat outside in the sun in Santorini and ate a very tasty gyros/calamari plate! I was very happy... meat super tender, excellently seasoned 👍🏼 fries crispy and the calamari (fried) baked great! Thank you for the delicious food A notice: Bring a good appeal “huge portion”

Unfortunately, this place is not recommended. Baked sheep's cheese on a bed of iceberg lettuce, the salad plate for the main course only consisted of iceberg lettuce with ready-made dressing, and the gyros had a slightly sour taste, the only positive thing about this evening was the friendly waiter. We will never eat there again

Very good and very nice service. I got a seat even without a reservation. Food is good, maybe don't drown the side salad so badly in sauce 😉. Everything was very tasty

Unfortunately you have to give at least one star. Attracted by good reviews on Google and Tripadvisor, we went there with a few friends and ordered various dishes. The Mousakka was the worst I have ever eaten. Still cool inside, but the shell is hot, so it's a microwave product. The tomato and cream sauce on top didn't fit at all and the whole consistency was nothing reminiscent of Greek cuisine. The meat (gyros) was dry, as if it had been in a warming device for a long time and it was flabby and didn't actually taste like anything. Not even the tzatziki tasted like garlic. The Retsina wine obviously came from the canister, because although we ordered a 0.75L bottle, an open carafe with 0.5L and an additional one with 0.25L came. The Uozo on the house at the end should have been left out. It was warm and tasted diluted or it was just cheap quality. But not the one for GOOD friends. Unfortunately, it was only afterwards that we realized that most of the good reviews were years old and perhaps the owner or the chef had changed. We would NOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE. There are so many other good options close by!!! It's better to walk past Santorini.

Service was tried hard. I had an antipasti plate - consisting of iceberg lettuce, red onions, sun-dried tomatoes, two cherry tomatoes stuffed with cream cheese, 2 green peppers and 2 slices of tomatoes, toasted with brown bread, which doesn't work at all. Guys, if you can't do it, leave it and find another job.

Unfortunately you didn't get what you expect from a Greek. The liver was 100% frozen. Cut very thinly into small pieces. And fried to death. There was more cartilage than meat in the gyro. Ordered 2 Diet Cokes. Coca Cola was shown on the menu. Unfortunately it wasn't an original Coca Cola. There is 1 star because the fries tasted good.

Very friendly staff! We were quite late but they still managed to do something for us. Gyro plate + tiramisu is very tasty, drinks came promptly.

Tzazikki starters extra dish no taste no cucumber 2.50 for a small blob on the main course plate of salad the main course only yoghurt and hardly any salad. One of the two Lsmm skewers was tough and the tomato soup was a mini portion. We didn't like the food at all, the dining room is old-fashioned and has spider webs, and you had to wait a long time for the food.

Definitely not recommended...brown iceberg lettuce with three grated carrots as a Greek salad.. Bifteki, in our opinion, frozen pattis, poorly seasoned or not seasoned at all...sheep's cheese drowned in aluminum foil and oil for 9.50...with three hard pieces of bread..NEVER AGAIN, rip-off with unkempt atmosphere..unfriendly waiters when criticism was expressed...

It was quite ok. At first the service was good, but later when I was paying someone else suddenly came and had no insight. But sure, if everything happens without a cash register. The Lord did not know what we had consumed.

The food was okay, but unfortunately the service was abysmally bad. Since we had an allergy sufferer with us, we asked a dish whether it contained appropriate ingredients and were told that it did not. However, when we got it, they were included. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he took the plate away, and then clearly brought the same plate back but the relevant ingredients were pulled out. When we complained about this again, as cooking with the ingredients was already harmful for our case, he became increasingly unfriendly. The whole thing ended with him telling us that our requests "didn't matter" and that we simply shouldn't pay the court. In any case, we won't be eating here anymore.

Even with constructive criticism, there was no response or even an apology. And the service can't speak ONE WORD of German!!! (Dressing) The boss and waitress were talking loudly on the phone and smoking outside the whole time and therefore didn't take care of us Thanks for nothing... But you were full. But nothing more! It took almost half an hour before we could order. The food was okay but not very seasoned, but came quickly after ordering. Even after we ate it took almost 45 minutes until we could pay. You could almost see the conditions and didn't ask if you needed anything else.

Unfortunately we are dissatisfied with the service and the quality of the food. A little more attention to the guests would be good for the reputation. Nevertheless, we received friendly service.

Good Greek restaurant. Very friendly and attentive service. Rich menu. I had the No. 55 House Style Gyros. Gyros, fries, tzatziki, all very tasty. The portion was sized just right. Full but not oversaturated. I'll stop by here again. .

We had gyros with fries and starter plate as main course. Absolutely delicious. The gyro was nice and juicy. Personally, we didn't find the type of bread that was served with the tzatziki to match, but otherwise it was absolutely good. Very nice staff.

Essen ist mittelmäßig, hatte Gyros hat nicht besonders geschmeckt sah aus wie vom Tag davor also nicht frisch .

Solides Restaurant. Service sehr nett. Ich bin immer gern dort hin gegangen. Übel aufgestoßen hat mir, das bei einer Änderung der Beilage der volle Vorspeise Preis der Beilage als Vorspeise berechnet wurde. Bohnen als Beilage für circa 7,50 Euro. Anstatt Pommes frites. Auch in Zeiten der Inflation kann ein Restaurant bei Gästen, die häufiger kommen zum Essen, da Mal etwas nachgeben. Mir geht es nicht um die paar Euro, sondern um die Geste. Schade, sonst wäre ich hier sicher häufiger zu Gast gewesen.

Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen, wir waren zu dritt und zwei Kinder, die Kinder hatten eine hervorragende Einstellung, wir bestellten Dorado-Fisch und die Kinder bestellten gegrilltes Hähnchen, alles war sehr lecker, der Fisch war saftig und die Kinder sagten, dass alles sehr gut war lecker, der Service war ausgezeichnet!

Das Essen war sehr lecker! So ein zartes Fleisch haben wir lange nicht mehr gegessen. Der Service war super aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend und empfehlen das Restaurant sehr gerne weiter!

Das Restaurant wird mit Herz geführt, dadurch heimelige Atmosphäre. Freundliche u schnelle Bedienung, Essen sehr lecker und ausreichend. Chef hat ein gutes Auge und hilft überall, wo es fehlt. Preis/Leistung =optimal.

Absolut charmant eingerichtetes Lokal, mit überzeugendem Flair. Das Essen hat super geschmeckt und die Portion war absolut ausreichend.

An sich gepflegtes griechisches Lokal, etwas leer für einen Samstag Abend ( vielleicht auch der Vorweihanchtszeit geschuldet ) wir waren 10 Personen, leider wurde ein Gericht seitens der Küche vergessen, so bekam eine Person das Essen erst, als die anderen schon fertig waren. Ich persönlich hatte gegrillte Hähnchenbrust in metaxa Soße, die hat aber eher nur nach Tomate geschmeckt, etwas langweilig also. Für das verspätete Essen gab es ein Getränk gratis. Im großen und ganzen war der Abend schön, wir würden aber nicht nochmal wieder kommen.

Wir waren zu viert. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt leider nicht. Die Calamari schmeckten wie aus der Tiefkühltruhe, Bei allen drei Fleischgerichten war das Fleisch hart und zäh. Der Service wat nett, aber nicht effektiv.

Es war ein schöner Abend bei euch. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service mehr als zuvorkommend. Ich komme gern wieder.

Wir war dort zu dritt, das Essen, vorallem der Zaziki spitze. Hatte den Zazik und dann den Vorspeisenteller als Hauptgericht genommen, das war so ausreichend. Die anderen beiden hatten das Giros und es war saftig und außen cross. Einzige was ich persönlich nicht gut fand war der Preis für das Zaziki.

Service gut und schnell. Große Portionen, das Gyros ist eher Geschnetzeltes und das Fleisch z. T. zäh. Kaum Reis/Pommes und kaum Zaziki dafür sehr viel Fleisch, somit sind die Portionen nicht ausgewogen. Beilagensalat war ein Fertigsalat (Salat und ein paar geraspelt Möhren) mit etwas Soße. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr stark ausgeleuchtet und wirken in die Jahre gekommen.

SCHEIBLETTENKÄSE!! Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Service war okay, Essen bei vielen etwas trocken aber okay. Nichts Besonderes. "Mit Käse überbacken" bedeutet hier allerdings mit Scheiblettenkäse! Das ist nicht nur billig und geschmacklos sondern eigentlich unteres Imbissniveau.
