Yesterday evening we had dinner with friends in Rosin's Restaurant, we received a very warm welcome and very good advice about the dishes on the menu and the appropriate drinks. The food was absolutely great, a true taste experience. Everything else surrounding it and the staff were very friendly and always tried hard. We would be happy to come back and would be happy to recommend you.

We visited Frank Rosin and had the pleasure of enjoying an impressive 8-course meal. The combinations of the dishes were unusual and creative, but every course was simply amazing! The delicate meat dish with caviar was unbeatable, as were the rare prawns, which were cooked to perfection. The tender pork fillet was also a real highlight. Every bite was an experience for the senses. Add to that the excellent service and the elegant ambience – simply perfect all around. A culinary adventure not to be missed!

An absolutely successful evening, the welcome was very warm and our wishes were taken into account when choosing the table. Particularly noteworthy is the very casual and friendly atmosphere, not as stuffy as in other star restaurants. The staff were not only very nice and attentive, but they also made you feel like you were a regular guest. I have rarely seen such attentive, competent and friendly service. The food was of course excellent, an absolute highlight both visually and in terms of taste. Allergies and intolerances were addressed. The entire facility was modern but not sterile and you felt comfortable right from the start. We really enjoyed our visit and we knew as we were walking that it wouldn't be our last visit. Once again, many thanks to the many good spirits of the house, we felt very comfortable.

We ate there together on January 16th, my mother and I on her birthday, Frank Rosin's team really impressed us, our every wish was met, you can't describe the ambience in words, and the food was breathtaking . We'd love to come back.

A disappointing evening at Frank Rosin – disappointed expectations at the highest level Our visit to Frank Rosin, a name that should stand for culinary excellence, was a failure. With a menu price of €175 per person, we had high expectations - but what we experienced was disappointing and completely disproportionate. Experience with starred restaurants? More than enough We visited numerous Michelin restaurants – in Germany and around the world. But this experience fell significantly short. Quality, taste and service? Well below the level you can expect in this price range. The food – expensive, tiny, tastes banal The portions were so small that they barely reached the palate. A main course, which alone could cost €50, consisted of two bites. The desserts were overloaded with decoration, but equally disappointing in terms of taste. Nobody was full here - the only thing that was remotely filling was the bread between the courses. The ambience – questionable decorations and tastelessness The interior looked like a carelessly put together furniture exhibition. Particularly striking were paintings with questionable and vulgar sayings that are completely inappropriate for a Michelin-starred restaurant. An ambience that exuded neither style nor class. Guests who can only be disappointed Many guests apparently came for special occasions. But what you saw on their faces was disappointment or desperate whitewashing of an evening that didn't live up to expectations. You felt like you were in a bad play. Frank Rosin – the critic whose own restaurant fails It's ironic that Frank Rosin himself criticizes other restaurants. But this restaurant that he once ran does not live up to these demands. He is no longer officially the owner – perhaps for good reason? How does this restaurant still have a Michelin star? The loss of the second star is understandable, but even one star seems questionable. Taste, atmosphere and service do not justify the award. Conclusion – a star that has long since burned out Frank Rosin's restaurant disappoints across the board. The prices are absurd, the portions are tiny, and the atmosphere lacks style. If you are planning a special evening, you should avoid this expensive lesson - disappointed looks and empty stomachs are guaranteed here.

Absolute madness, worth the culinary trip. Great atmosphere, not too big and very suitable for what is on offer. The staff was really friendly and gave us very good advice about wine with the meal. The food was a real hit and even the wine was awesome (I'm a beer drinker). We will definitely visit the restaurant again and recommend it.

TOP Essen und ein TOP Erlebnis. Wir haben uns für das Menü entschieden. Jeder Gang war für mich geschmacklich ein persönliches Highlight. Es wurden jeweils passende Getränke zum jeweiligen Essen gereicht. Das Personal war sehr nett, aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Alles in allem ein sehr toller Abend. GERNE WIEDER!!!

A great experience at Restaurant Rosin! We had the 5-course menu, which was culinary at the highest level. The home-baked bread at the beginning was a particular highlight. The wine pairing was well chosen, even if not every wine completely convinced us. The ambience is modern and individually designed - dark colors combined with targeted accents create a special atmosphere. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly and professional, with clearly defined areas of responsibility, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Admittedly, it's an expensive treat, but it's definitely a highlight for special occasions that will be remembered. All in all, Rosin deserves its 4 stars – a clear recommendation for gourmets!

Yes..it was something special.. Had a voucher for Frank Rosin twice..it was really nice..I would have liked larger portions..and why is there no draft beer?

I asked myself what you could give a dear colleague for retirement. This is where I came up with the idea of ​​simply going out to eat with my colleague in a different way. Based on some of the reviews here, I was initially very critical as to whether he and I would have positive memories of this visit. Especially since I also pay attention to a relatively good price-performance ratio and it is important that my unfortunately very pronounced intolerance is taken into account. For me, I can only say that my first visit to an upscale restaurant was not disappointing in any way, but that the evening will remain fond memories! The service was excellent. From the very friendly welcome, the explanation of the dishes and recommendations for the choice of drinks to little things like a menu printed with your own name on the table, everything was implemented very personally. I had communicated the intolerance in advance and this was taken into account in all orders. The experience of simply ingenious flavor compositions has always surprised me and will not only remain in my memory, but I would also like to repeat this experience on a suitable occasion. Cheers!

The two of us had dinner in Dorsten after prior reservation. The reservation worked through the website without any problems. All in all, we were absolutely thrilled by the food and atmosphere. The reception and introduction by Mr. Bauer was a complete success. We chose the 3 course menu. The huge selection of wines overwhelmed us a bit, but we were allowed to try a South African wine and then ordered the whole bottle. The recommendation was just great and the price was completely justified at €59. Every course and the tasty treat served with it was more than successful, and the desert was the crowning glory of the beautiful evening. We were happy and full too. We spent a good 2.5 hours and felt very comfortable. The service and friendliness of the staff was simply great for us. To say goodbye we were given a bottle of white wine... We can absolutely recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back... Chapeu!

We arrived and were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and shown to the table. The food itself was mostly tasty (there was some that we didn't like, but that's always a matter of taste). Unfortunately, we had several unpleasant experiences. On the one hand, the margin for your own gin is very high (a bottle in the online shop costs €30 and a glass costs €14). If it had only been that, it would have been quite tolerable. My wife gave me the evening for my birthday. Even though the voucher was only a few months old, we were still charged €100 more for the menu due to the increased costs. We found this quite steep, but the worst thing was how we were treated from the moment we mentioned the voucher. Even though my wife bought it we were treated like scum. The waitress was very unfriendly and made us feel like we weren't welcome or that it would be better if we left because we couldn't afford the food. We also didn't get our jackets back from the lady, so we were allowed to get them out of the closet ourselves. This was commented with: “Oh, you have jackets, you can take them yourself now”. The other waiters were very friendly, but this lady completely spoiled our evening with her manner. Unfortunately, for this price and such unfriendly behavior, the restaurant cannot be recommended.

My daughter and a friend were there a few years ago. Both still studying and not much money. Because of the high prices, both of them only had one soup each. The soup was tasty but that was it. They then asked for the bill and paid. Outside you found a message on the OUITTUNG. which read as follows... They only had soup please never grace our restaurant again. I think that says a lot about the owner's philosophy of life and character. Therefore only one star from the two girls.

Nun, gelegentlich muss beim Essen auch mal ein Abenteuer sein und in das Restaurant Rosin wollten wir schon länger mal. Ich könnte jetzt dieses und jenes schreiben, schenke mir dies aber und mache eine Kurzfassung. Personal: freundlich und aufmerksam Essen: ausgezeichnet, mit überraschenden Elementen Wein: durch die Sommelière gut ausgewählt Ambiente: angenehm Gerne wieder. Na gut; Highlight war die Gelbflossenmakrele, hier das Zusammenspiel mit dem aromareichen Chutney, dicht gefolgt vom gerollten Hummer.

I was allowed to cook for me for 4 days by Oliver, the kitchen manager in Frank's restaurant, and by Frank himself. During the filming (Who Cooks the Best for the Guests) I was impressed by the cooking performance of both of them. I'll rate the rest when I've been to their restaurant.

Gespannt fuhren wir zu Frank Rosin. Als frühere Inhaber eines kleinen Feinschmecker-Restaurants, sowie passionierte Hobbyköche… ein Muss! Extrem aufmerksamer Sevice, der uns bei Ankunft sogar die Taxitür öffnete. Personalisierte Speisekarte ( wir nahmen das grosse Menü). Sehr gute, kreative Küche… unser Highlight die Tafel Schokolade on der Entenleber… in den richtigen Zeitabständen serviert. Sehr persönlicher Service ( bei einem kurzen Ausflug auf den Balkon wurden uns sofort Auflagen für die Sitze gebracht). Zum Abschluss gab es noch das Buch des Chefs mit Autogramm! Der Preis ist gehoben, aber gerechtfertigt für sehr viel Handwerk und Geschmack. Etwas kurios: auf dem Herrenklo ein Bild mit einem obszönen Wort ( leider akzeptiert Tripadvisor dies hier nicht, man kann sich aber denken, welches es war ( fängt mit f an) und im ( sehr geschmackvollen) Restaurant ein Kunstwerk mit dem Schriftzug: "Cumshot“. Kenner wissen, was gemeint ist. Trotzdem seeeeehr schön gewesen dort!

We expected something different from Rosin... too many mini things... and too many sweet things. There was no drinks menu at all - also no price information for the wine accompaniment. Been there once - but you don't have to go there again...

Ein durchweg gelungener Abend mit einem Service der in seiner Art überragend war und einem Menü das von Anfang bis zum Ende hervorragend, kreativ und überraschend war. Jeder einzelne Gang zauberte uns ein Lächeln ins Gesicht und einen Gaumenschmaus auf die Zunge! So toll! Sicher ist so ein Abend teuer, aber ich fand es war jeden Cent wert und der Abend wird uns immer in Erinnerung bleiben.

I was in the Rosin restaurant again on May 1st. This time too everything was perfect. The evening began with a very friendly greeting and escort to the table. I particularly like the homemade bread with three different types of butter at the beginning. The entire meal, I had the Schmakofatz-Mdnü, was simply delicious and beautifully presented on the plates. A huge compliment to the kitchen. But the accompanying wine pairing was also excellent. The food and wines harmonized perfectly. Not to forget the excellent and friendly service staff. It won't be my last visit here.

We are big fans of Rosins Restaurants. That's why we wanted to test out what Frank Rosin has to offer in his own restaurant. To anticipate it; My wife is a passionate cook for our private area and she has already picked up a lot of tips from Frank. But now to our visit. The welcome from the staff was friendly and professional. Frank Rosin was in the restaurant. He took a quick look and then chatted with a guest couple for about 5 minutes. We would have expected that he would also briefly greet the other guests or ask during the course of the evening whether everything was okay, tasted good or something like that. But unfortunately he didn't show up again the whole evening. The menu was well explained by the staff and the individual courses were something special. Here you could experience special tastes. The wine pairing with the meal was also very good. Although the individual courses (portions) were very small (the main course could hardly be distinguished from the starters), we were full due to the large number of courses. However, we would always prefer very high-quality but “normal” cuisine, as cooked by Frank on his show, to this “star cuisine”. But that's a matter of taste. We would describe the atmosphere as quite nice. But it didn't blow us away either. Our conclusion: an exceptional visit to the restaurant. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they like the price/performance ratio or not. It's not our thing. Above all, we would have liked a little more warm and personal hospitality, as Frank always recommends to restaurateurs on his show. Therefore, unfortunately I cannot give a clear recommendation here. We expected more for this price.

It was a very pleasant experience in this restaurant. The service was excellent. The staff were always busy making your stay as nice as possible. The food is to die for. All the dishes tasted wonderful. There were many dishes that you didn't even want to cut into because they were presented so well. We really enjoyed the evening.

Schönes Interieur, guter aber zum Teil etwas hochnäsiger Service, insgesamt dürfte die Athmosphäre noch etwas mehr in Richtung casual fine dining gehen. Das Essen ist schön, handwerklich perfekt durchgearbeitet. Die Portionierung ist bei vier Gängen (+ dreimal Scmackofatz bzw. Grüßen aus der Küche) absolut ok, dazu großzügig sehr leckeres Brot). Die Stilistik ist recht klassisch. Besonders gut: Amalfi-Zitrone mit Schwarztee, gegrillter Sellerie mit Miso, Meerrettich, Topinambur-Essenz, Kalbs-Onglet... Etwas mehr Wumms wäre an der einen oder anderen Stelle denkbar aber insgesamt absolut tolles Essen. Stern und Preis sind gerechtfertigt. Was mir nicht so gut gefallen hat war der etwas offensive Getränke-Verkauf ohne Transparenz der Preise. Schon klar: Getränkekarten sind in der Spitzengastronomie nicht unbedingt üblich und die Weinempfehlungen waren sehr gut aber ich fühle mich echt wohler wenn ich die finanzielle Dimension etwas besser im Blick habe. Schän: zum Abschied eine Flasche Wein als Souvenir.

Leider sind die Portionen für eine kleine Maus dafür so viel Geld zu verlangen ist echte abzocke !!! Kommen hier her niemals wieder und würde ich auch keinem Empfehlen!!!! Der Service war echt klasse dem würde ich empfehlen sich einen anderen Arbeitgeber zu suchen ;)

Herr Rosin muss noch viele Knödel essen damit er die Klasse/ Kreativität von Eckart Witzigmann, Gerhard Gartner oder Paul Bocuse erreichen und ihnen das Wasser reichen kann! Das ist nun die Realität!

Sehr delikat und lecker ein Besuch wert

Wir waren das erste Mal in einem Sternerestaurant essen und hatten somit kaum Erwartungen. Als wir dort ankamen wurden wir sehr herzlich begrüßt und zu Tisch gebracht. Die Speisekarte wurde uns auch sehr freundlich und ausführlich erklärt. Das Essen war wirklich toll angerichtet und auch geschmacklich gut. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend bei tollem Ambiente und sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Was auch noch positiv aufgefallen ist, dass uns ein Gutschein angerechnet wurde, welcher mir 2019 geschenkt wurde. Das war von Anfang an kein Problem. Zum Schluss gab es sogar noch ein kleines Geschenk 😊👍

Moin aus Emden Es war ein echt toller Abend bei Euch. Der Service ist Oberklasse gewesen und das Essen echt wat besonderes!!! Somit jeden Euro wert macht weiter so und zwar genauso!!! Munter und gesund bleiben... PS: Wer hier nicht zufrieden ist soll gleich zuhause bleiben und sich ne Pappizza liefern lassen feddich...

Boah was soll ich sagen ?! Zum aller ersten Mal war ich in einem Sterne Restaurant essen… wir waren an einem Mittwoch zum Schmackofatz Menu da 7 Gänge mit Weinbegleitung zu 155€ pro Person… Meine Erwartungen waren sehr hoch… Leider wurden diese überhaupt nicht erfüllt… Personal mega nett zuvorkommend Ambiente war schick aber auch nicht mehr… Ich weiß nicht ob ich zu viel erwartet habe ?! Aber ich habe mich einfach nicht gefühlt als wäre ich in einem Sterne Restaurant… Essen war sehr gut aber Sterne Niveau? Ich weiß ja nicht… nach 7 Gängen war ich auch einfach nicht satt von den Mini Portionen… 321€ am Ende bezahlt… sehe ich einfach nicht völlig überzogen… der Preis… Für mich ein absolutes Privileg 321€ für ein Essen in einem Restaurant zu bezahlen und gerade deshalb waren meine Erwartungen sehr hoch… Waren ca 3 1/2 Std vor Ort… Sry aber ich finde da ist noch sehr viel Luft nach oben für den Preis…

War mit einer Geschäftsfreundin hier Essen. Wir waren recht hungrig und nicht zum ersten Mal in einem Sterne Lokal. Leider schmeckte uns das Essen nicht. Hohe Preise sind in diesen Restaurant ja normal aber dann sollte es wenigstens schmecken. Unser Fazit.... viel chi chi und jede Menge heiße Luft und Qualität und Kochkunst lässt zu wünschen űbrig. Sicher keine gehobene Küche. Daher von uns nur 2,5 Sterne...4-

Rosin hält was er verspricht Essen und alles drumherum war pervekt! Unangemessen waren allerdings die Bilder auf den WCs! Siehe Fotos! Auf dem Damenklo hing auch so ein Änliches!

Delicious food and experience in general. I recommend you to make a reservation because even your menus are personalized with your name. In our case we visit the restaurant without reservation but the staff was very friendly and flexible, so they find a place for us. The food is amazing, the combination of flavors and the right quantities of everything make every dish a delicious experience of course you get a recommendation wine with could pair with your food. The deserts as well amazing, if you are close to the place and you want to have an amazing culinary experience just make a reservation and enjoy your visit. Price is fair, quality of the food and service is excellent.

War schon bei mehreren Restaurants von Fernsehköchen und für mich ist es bei Frank Rosin immernoch am leckersten! Die Extravaganz, der Service, diese Explosion aus verschiedensten Geschmäckern. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Hier eine Kritik an Frank Rosin: er leckt den Löffel ab und richtet damit dann weiter Speisen an. Das ist ekelhaft.

Wir hatten hier zu unserem Jahrestag ein wundervolles 7-Gang-Menü mit entsprechender Wein-/ Getränkebegleitung. Jeder einzelne Gang hat uns aufs Neue begeistert und die Getränke passten sehr gut dazu. Insbesondere die nichtalkoholischen Alternativen (z.B. der Quittensecco) haben mich absolut überzeugt

Wie hatten einen super gelungenen und schönen Abend. Der Service war ausgezeichnet und das Essen hervorragend. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis, das ich gerne wiederholen mag.

Hab mir mehr erhofft vom Essen .. Aber ansonsten ganz gut..

Wir waren schon vor einiger Zeit zum Hochzeitstag dort und hatten ein 3-Gänge-Menü. Mein Mann war nicht so begeistert aber ich fand es ganz gut. Vielleicht etwas ungewohnt und außergewöhnlich in den Geschmacksnuancen. Das Restaurant hat mir optisch äußerst gut gefallen; eine tolle Inneneinrichtung. Mein Mann fand das "Stinkefinger" Bild von Herrn Rosin unpassend, gerade beim essen - für mich ist es Kunst. :-)

Wir waren am Dienstag zum Abendessen hier.Das Lokal sieht von Außen sehr unscheinbar aus,aber das täuscht.Hatte vorher schon auf die Webseite geschaut und so waren meine Erwartungen hoch geschraubt.Wir bekamen einen sehrs schöne Sitzecke,wo man den ganzen Abend gut saß;aufgelockert durch Kissen.Die Bedienung war insgesamt sehr zuvorkommend und von der Fachvorbereitung sehr kompetent.Ich habe zb ein 10 Gang Menü genommen,von dem ich allefdings auf Ratschlsg hin einen Gang mit sehr scharfen Käse weggelassen habe.Wir hatten Saft - und zb Weinbegleitung bestellt,was auch sehr gut funktionierte.Die klein Schmankerln am Anfang haben sehr gut geschmeckt.Die weiteren einzelnen Teilgerichte waren wirklich ganz vorzüglich und waren ihr Geld wert.Apropos,daß ist schon ganz klar .Hat sich aber extrem gelohnt.Dank an das Personal und Frank Rosin

Das positive vorweg: Telefonischer Kontakt, Begrüßung, Service erfrischend unprätentiös für ein Sterne-Restaurant. Sehr gute Weinempfehlungen, bei denen immer auf unsere Vorlieben eingegangen wurde. Und die Getränkepreise haben bei Überreichung der Rechnung auch nicht gleich für Schnappatmung gesorgt, wie sonst in dieser Kategorie schonmal üblich. Leider konnte uns die Küche in Summe nicht überzeugen, da trotz einiger echter Highlights (insbesondere die „Schmackofatze“ seien hier erwähnt) leider auch viel Schatten dabei war. Neben einer uninteressanten und lieblosen Rotbarbe, einer viel zu überwürzten Sauce zum Onglet hat vor allem die Gelbschwanzmakrele enttäuscht. Fast schon arrogant mutet es an, wenn man die Begründung zum Verlust des 2. Sterns im Guide Michelin liest und erkennen muss, dass die durchaus berechtigte Kritik an diesem Gang anscheinend komplett ignoriert wird. Ich finde Herrn Rosin in den verschiedenen TV Formaten immer sehr unterhaltsam und erfrischend ehrlich, aber vielleicht wird es Zeit für eine ebenso ehrliche Selbstkritik…

Erwartet hatten wir ein Restaurant auf gehobenem Niveau. Was wir bekamen war absolute Spitzengastronomie, noch weit über den Lobpreisungen diverser Restaurantführer. In unserer persönlichen Deutschland Rangliste ( und wir haben schon etliche Sternelokale durch ) kommt das Restaurant Rosin nun gleich nach dem Gottvater Christian Bau aus Perl. Absolute Überraschung. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Etwas Zeit muss man sich nehmen, bis das Menü durch ist. Ich wüsste gerne, was das Schild auf der Herrentoilette bedeutet. Parkplätze gibt es reichlich.

Hat mit richtiger sterneküche nichts zu tun. Total überbewertet. Viel show Um nichts. Mehr gibt es dazu nicht zu sagen.

Rosins war eine schöne Erfahrung. Das Essen war auf‘s kleinste Detail durchdacht und abgestimmt. Der Service war zuvorkommend und nett. Es wurde oft etwas zu trinken angeboten und es wurde nach unserer Meinung nachgefragt. Das Ambiente war außergewöhnlich stimmig und angenehm.

Fand isch sehr geil vor allem als der Herr Rosin höchstpersönlich aus der Küch kam um mich mit Weißwein abzulöschen und dann einfach meiner Mutter die Schultern massierte und sie zusammen in seinem weißen Porsche wegfuhren. Habe meine Mutter bis jetzt nicht wiedergesehen aber das sehe gute Menü und des Roses Schmackofatz haben das wieder gut gemacht.

Viel zu überteuert und schreckliches Ambiente

Super leckeres Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre. Das Personal mega informiert und engagiert. Ich dachte, ich werde von den Portiönchen, die wirklich winzig sind, nicht satt...aber es hat gereicht. Wirklich. Der Namensgeber war leider nicht da, das hätte den Abend komplett gemacht... Das Essen war kreativ, lecker, mega angerichtet...aber eben auch sehr hochpreisig. Aber wann geht man schon bei einem 2-Sterne-Koch essen? Es hat sich gelohnt und es war mal eine andere Erfahrung.

Tolles Restaurant mit exzellenter Küche.

Was soll man sagen? Besser geht's einfach nicht, essen unglaublich Gut, Ambiente und Service nicht zu verbessern! Nur schade das Frank selbst nicht da war, aber hatte ich an diesem Tag und Uhrzeit auch nicht erwartet. Man muss einfach Mal dort gegessen haben sonst lässt man was im Leben aus.

Extrem schlechte Bewertung bei The Taste. Ein ehemaliges Idol von mir ist an dem heutigen Tage zu einer traurigen Witzfigur geworden. Wer hätte gedacht das ein solcher "Chefkoch" einen so schlechten Geschmack hat. Vielleicht haben die Jahre seine Geschmacksknospen in den Verschleiß gerissen, aber sowas ist nicht akzeptabel. Sollte das ganze auf Demenz zurückzuführen zu sein, bin ich natürlich bereit meine hier hinterlassene Bewertung zurückzuziehen.

Toller & sehr professioneller Service und sehr zuvorkommend,tolle Atmosphäre,war ein sehr gelungener Abend.
