Unfortunately, it was absolutely disappointing. The food and service leave a lot of room for improvement. We certainly won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, we weren't impressed. We'd heard there'd been a change of ownership and the quality had improved, but we can't confirm this. The placemats used as menus stank strongly of an old, dirty cleaning rag. Some of the salads were brown and old. The water bottle was already open, suggesting it had been filled with tap water. All three dishes were visibly and tastelessly unprepared with fresh ingredients, and there was a hair in my daughter's meal. When we were charged an additional €25 at the end, and the lady continued to argue with us about it, we agreed not to go back.

Well, quite honestly, we've visited a few restaurants before, and you can overlook some things, but what was served here was simply inedible – we gave up after five minutes! Even the welcoming ouzo tasted somewhat thin. The salad consisted solely of lettuce leaves, and the rich sauce tasted like ready-made sauce. From the completely overloaded menu with what felt like about 100 dishes, we chose "Gyros Gypsy Style." What was then served didn't look all that appetizing. The sautéed onions were a slimy mush that had been poured over the gyros. The gyro meat was sometimes tough and gristly, and the rice was watery. The taste is impossible to judge because everything tasted of nothing; every cafeteria here is better. Where do all the good reviews come from? Was the chef perhaps having a bad day? Judging by the pictures online, someone must be able to do better. I would describe the service as attentive but impersonal. The atmosphere is okay. There are plenty of parking spaces, but card payments are not accepted here.

The food and value for money are very good! The ambiance is a bit dated and needs some more paint, some fine filler, light bulbs with the same color, and some craftsmanship. The service is very friendly, but they could generate more revenue by checking the empty glasses more often. The food selection is very extensive and the food tastes very good.

I've known Rhodos for over three decades, and after my last three visits, I've come to the conclusion that the good times are over. The only thing that's still somewhat acceptable are the prices. The quality leaves something to be desired, the portion sizes have halved over the years, and the taste is, unfortunately, no longer good. The young waiters don't understand you very well, and even the old hand notes down a crispy gyro, but when it arrives, it looks as if 90% of it had been cooked in a pan. It's truly sad what has become of what was once truly the best Greek restaurant in the area. The fact that they only accept cash also leaves a bad taste in your mouth...

It's great that the portions are small, but unfortunately, the dishes come very quickly one after the other; a short break between them would be better.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it anymore! We were regulars for over 12 years, but the food and service have gotten so bad! Some of the meat was undercooked, and the mushrooms were burnt black. Our drinks came wrong three times, the portions were very, very small, and the salad was a joke!!! We and many of our friends no longer go there because there are simply much better Greek restaurants that offer more!!!

In the summer, we like to eat here and sit on the lovely terrace. I would rate the food as "good." We've ordered and picked up food several times now. It can happen if it's not so good. No problem. But unfortunately, it has happened repeatedly. My lamb fillet was completely dry and slightly burnt, the sauce thick, almost custard-like, and oversalted. We'll order from somewhere else now, but we'll continue to come here to eat.

It was fine. The employees seemed very listless. EC payments aren't possible, unfortunately, and haven't been for a long time.

Very tasty! And always hospitable! The wait was a bit long, but still okay.

Simply awful. Unfriendly, poor quality. Lamb is a shoe sole, gyros are inedible. The only good thing: you can sit there very comfortably and they serve plenty of uzos. Hence 2 stars. Oh yeah, you can only pay in cash 🤷‍♂️ Still, never again!

Unfortunately, we can't give 0 stars. We were there with a small child, were able to order quickly, but had to wait an hour and a half for the food to arrive. The gyro was tough. Service was very poor, unfriendly, and chaotic, even though the place wasn't busy. The place is a bit run down, but it has potential. We actually liked it there, but after our last few visits, the place has gone downhill. Just plain unfriendly. The price is actually good, though, and very cheap in comparison.

Good service and good, affordable Greek food. 🇬🇷🏺🫒🍽️ The menu has a large selection, and all the dishes are plentiful and delicious. 🥘🍷 The decor is simple, and the ambiance is understated. In summer, there are quiet spots in the garden. Ample parking is available. 🅿️🚘

If you take certain things as they are, the shop is a culinary "must"

Located directly on the B75, the restaurant is unfortunately best reached by car or bicycle. The food is good and tasty. The portions are perfectly adequate. The service is friendly, but seems uncoordinated. Waiting for the bill was quite tiring. The ambiance is relatively chic and cool. There's hardly any sense of coziness.

The food was plentiful but not particularly tasty. The lights by the hand basins in the men's restroom are broken. The prices are reasonable.

The ambiance was great, and you can sit outside comfortably. Service was okay. I was very disappointed with the salad; it wasn't Greek, with no olives or peppers, no tomatoes or cucumbers, just green lettuce leaves. The main course was very good.

We went there for the first time today. And we were very impressed. The food was delicious. The price-performance ratio was very good. The service was excellent. I wasn't sure if I'd like the Metax sauce. I was given some sauce to try. Great service. Won't be our last visit. From ordering to receiving the food took about 15 minutes. Even though it was very busy. There's plenty of parking right outside.

I highly recommend it. We had calamari, gawro, and giant prawns, all super tasty and spicy. The salad was super tasty and the homemade bread was fantastic. Plus, the price for this quality can't be beat. The best Greek restaurant by far. I'd happily go back again.

It was my first time eating there and I'll definitely be back! The service was super friendly and very attentive. The outdoor area at the back is lovely, with plenty of room to sit. Very good Greek restaurant with a wide selection of dishes. The food is excellent and plentiful. The friendly staff is attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our meals here and felt comfortable. We will definitely go back.

Last Sunday, we had a party at our house with 25 people. With the advice of the restaurant's chef, we selected a number of our favorite dishes from the menu, without side dishes. At the agreed time, everything was ready in chafing dishes. All the guests were delighted with the delicacies. By the end, almost all the containers were empty. Very friendly place with a tasty food. I am coming here probably over 15 years, always when I visit Hamburg for a couple days. I was here last week twice and next visit I will come again. Thank you from Slovakia.

Disappointing! We had dinner with 9 people and were really disappointed. Of the 9 main courses ordered, 3 were served incorrectly (not the side dishes ordered, normal portion ordered - SMALL portion served), 1 meal was lukewarm. 1. Drinks order: White wine ordered, red wine served, then exchanged - but white wine in red wine glasses, you had to beg for another drink order. Ants or something similar were crawling on the table, and a note to the owner was hardly noticed ("the animals are new and I can't forbid the animals from staying here"). No apology or anything like that. For me it was the last visit there!!!

Been there again for years. Full but super tasty, a bit noisy but that was due to the guests... not the restaurant itself! We had a few problems when ordering but everything was still very good

Yes, they all got expensive (especially the drinks), but let's leave that out of the equation. The dishes with Metaxa sauce are absolutely outstanding! Yes, fresh broccoli would be nice, but we're at a Greek restaurant and not at an organic restaurant... In any case, there is still an ouzo on the house, which is no longer the case everywhere... And a fresh salad first, with a tasty dressing. There was nothing wrong with the friendliness of the staff- we'd love to come back.

We went there for dinner for the first time today. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we got a nice table. We were served courteously and the food was very tasty. We'll definitely go there again.

Food was so-so...since we were there for Christmas...it was missing Christmas coziness...no candle on the table...no nice Christmas tablecloth...we were there with 7 people. eat...what a shame

We didn't like the starter platter, the vegetables were mushy. Spaghetti with scampi and tomato soup as well as lamb skewer were ok.

Ordered a Corfu plate and gypsy-style gyros over the phone. Good price-performance ratio. Were very happy with the quality of the food.

A huge selection of dishes that can be overwhelming when you “study” the menu for the first time. This makes ordering a challenge. The food was overall very good. The portions are large and the prices are unbeatable. There is something for every diet. Overall, the price-performance ratio is unbeatable.

Maybe I was just unlucky. I was passing through with my camper and was staying at a P4N site nearby. The staff wanted to get to work quickly and pushed us to order, which is a task given the large menu. Prices are really quite cheap and the atmosphere is from a bygone era. But the meat quality was crucial. The lamb chop was gray and lukewarm. Unfortunately the gyros were tough. I didn't eat most of it. Actually I'm not picky, but that was too much.

Here I was at a family celebration. It's a fairly large, somewhat winding restaurant. I was surprised at how crowded it was on a Saturday in the middle of the month. There were 11 of us there, drinks came quickly, the service was stressed but friendly. The food also came to everyone's table almost at the same time. I thought it was great. I had a mix plate. Bifteki with gyros and fries. The bifteki was homemade and very tasty. There was also a lot of cheese in it, which I thought was great. The gyro was ok, a bit dry, but nice in color. The fact that it was a bit dry, I think it was because the restaurant was really full. The fries were perfect and the tzatziki was also very good. Mild but tasty, gave a nice burn later. They even have a smoking area in the restaurant, I think you can even eat there. The only minimal negative... no card payment possible and there was only one ouzo. I would have liked to have been able to get a second one if you were with such a large group. Nice large parking lot. However, when you come from the city it can quickly happen that you just drive past. I was definitely satisfied!

Very nice staff, inexpensive, tasty and very large portions

I have known the restaurant for over 30 years. Today I went there for lunch with my wife. Yes, the facility could use an update, but it worked for us. The food was on the table very quickly and the portions were really big. A small complaint was also resolved very quickly. So everything is great. If you want to eat well and cheaply, you're in good hands here! We'll be back. Thank you for the hospitality!

I've been a guest there for years. But the quality of the food has deteriorated. This time I ordered food from home. The salad is small and just some coleslaw and iceberg with dressing. Loveless. The Giros was completely covered in fat, you just chewed on the mass. You had to look for the Metaxa sauce and it was different than usual. The second dish - grill plate - Most of the pieces of meat were dry and not as tasty as usual. It's a real shame. All in all disappointing.

Food was good and tasty, portions were decent. I find prices reasonable, tending to be too cheap. The staff was nice, but I know that you are accompanied to the table by a waiter (which happened) but then he takes care of you the whole evening. However, if you have two people serving you, I find it difficult when it comes to tipping. (Who knows how the topic is handled there) Card payment hasn't been possible for over a year, apparently they don't have internet. When asked “sumUp” and that this works via the cell phone, the answer was that there was no internet on the cell phone either. We (4 adults, 3 different network providers) had the best reception. Since the majority of guests would pay with the card, there is of course not much you can do when it comes to billing. Therefore, it gives me the impression that card payment is deliberately not offered. Because when paying, everything was only typed into the cash register after you were asked for a receipt. It's all very mysterious, but ultimately I don't care because I'm there to eat.🤷‍♂️ About the ambience:🥱🫣 Some of it is already decorated in a “Greek” style. However, it might be time to carry out a renovation. In some places the wall paint is already peeling off and many things are simply no longer up to date. The decoration is already a bit diced. No real line can be seen, it gives me the impression that something was bought here and there at flea markets or similar and then put in the local store. The furniture is very old. The sanitary facilities are also outdated. The toilets (I can only speak of men's) hang crooked, taller and stockier people have a space problem. The sink is missing a stopper, so you can look into the really disgustingly dirty drain. There are also nicer soap dispensers, the towel paper dispenser is also from around 1990 A uniform floor throughout the restaurant would also be more attractive. And everything that has to do with decoration is dusty. There are a lot of cobwebs hanging around...it's obviously only “superficially” cleaned. And since it looks like that in the guest area, what does the kitchen look like where no guests can come?🤨 I probably don't even want to know, access to the kitchen (checkout area) was enough for me with the incredible chaos that was there. Everything went haywire. This restaurant also has a smoking area. The door is kept closed there, BUT: We are in the year 2024. There has been a general BAN on smoking in restaurants, clubs etc. since 2013!!!!!!!! The signs “Smoking area” and “Children and young people under 18 are not allowed” are also useless, but smoking is still prohibited. I'm a smoker myself, but this sort of thing disgusts me. And all in all: This restaurant has great staff and offerings. Food tastes good, prices are great, even almost grandiose considering the increased prices. However, this location was probably set up in the 90s and has somehow stuck there. Small things have probably already been renewed and adjusted, but as a whole, this restaurant urgently needs to be renovated, brought up to date technically and refurnished. However, I can highly recommend this restaurant for the price-performance ratio.

Very tasty and cheap food, we paid €72 for portions of 6 adults. Food is always hot when picked up and when eaten on site. Side dishes such as salad or bread are always included free of charge. Unfortunately, the ambience seems a bit older, so I would always recommend ordering. But overall 5 stars

A Greek who didn't raise prices so excessively. The salt on the dishes could have been used a little more sparingly, but otherwise it was delicious.

Again one of the best restaurants on our journey of discovery. The reception was nice and friendly. There wasn't much going on. But that should change in the next few hours. Nevertheless, the service was polite and helpful. We were also tempted to try some desserts. Everything was delicious and tasty. The prices are okay. We will come back. There is also plenty of parking space. The restaurant has recently become a very popular meeting place for connoisseurs. Still very good 👍 been there again after a short break. Still great.

Really delicious food and 2 x Ouzo for free. Nice outdoor terrace and attentive staff. But please, why is card payment not possible? I only found out about it when I was paying and was lucky that my companion had enough cash with him

The two dishes we had (gyros plate/gyros special with Metaxa sauce) were an absolute disappointment!!! The Metaxa sauce that was supposed to be "the best seller" wasn't even as fast as snails...absolutely inedible for me - it simply tasted like NOTHING!!!! No way the other (good) reviews came about - I can only imagine explain the confusion with the taste...meat was anything but "crispy" yes, tastes are different...we both poked our food 2-3 times with a fork - but we were not accommodated in any way (possibly free drinks, etc. ) If your plates had been empty - of course not - but not with 90% full plates... my opinion - never again!! Better go to the Olympic Grill in Castrop-Rauxel.....they have real Metaxa sauce ;))

The food tasted very good and you didn't have to wait long for it. The furniture is nothing unusual but is pleasantly upholstered. The staff was polite, courteous and fun.

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. My pork medallions were fried to death, the broccoli wasn't fully cooked, the rice had no taste and the Metaxa sauce was watery. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it in any way

The outside area is very peaceful and cozy. The service is great and the food is lovingly prepared and delicious.

The facilities are now outdated, the waiting time for collection has been significantly exceeded and only lukewarm food is served, but the portions are considerably smaller than usual despite the order being large; you should think about it...

Zunächst war der Grieche total gut, aber mit der Zeit immer schlechter. Kann mich den schlechten Bewertungen anschließen. Ein liebloser Salat, den man selber machen kann und pappige Pommes. Zuletzt wollten wir etwas zum Abholen nehmen und wir konnten früher immer mit Karte zahlen, nun gab es telefonisch die Auskunft nur Barzahlung, für mich nun endgültig ein No Go !!!!! Nie wieder!!!!
