Very cozy, excellent food, superb service

We ate at Restaurant Rhodos last Sunday. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy, the food was nicely presented and delicious. We were particularly impressed by the service from the young, blonde waitress assigned to our table. She gave us expert advice, was very attentive, quick, and friendly. All in all, a very enjoyable evening, and we will definitely be back.

We're regulars at this Greek restaurant – and for good reason! We've not only dragged family and colleagues there, but also friends from as far away as 800 km. And even my elderly relatives from the retirement home. Everyone has been thrilled every time! The recent renovations are a real success and create an even more pleasant atmosphere. But most importantly: the food! It tastes simply fantastic – authentic, fresh, and prepared with so much love. We've been to many Greek restaurants where, unfortunately, a lot of the food tastes like it came from a convenience food. It's different here! You can taste the quality and freshness in every bite. On top of that, the service is excellent: The staff is always friendly, attentive, and has a wonderfully humorous way about them that makes the evening even more enjoyable. The value for money is also absolutely top-notch. Special reservation requests are accommodated without hesitation, even at short notice. For us, this restaurant is the absolute number one when it comes to Greek food. We'll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful evening at the "Restaurant Rhodos." The ambiance, the service, and, above all, the food were outstanding. I've never had such good Greek food in my life as I did here. Kudos to the chef, Georgius. My family and I will definitely be back.

We were a larger group. The food was mostly good, but one complaint was discussed in an amateurish manner. Overall, the vibe was not friendly.

My wife and I spontaneously went there after work this evening without making a reservation, and getting a table was no problem at all. The food arrived just a few minutes later. Everything was excellent. I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back. I'm very satisfied.

Very good Greek restaurant. Good value for money and generous portions. Stylishly decorated, you can tell the owner knows what he's doing. Very friendly service (especially the younger lady with dark hair), very friendly on the phone, greeted us immediately upon entering, and paid close attention to what we were doing at our table – something you don't see very often these days. It's a shame we don't live nearby, but we drive these routes often and will definitely stop by again.

A full bill and an empty stomach. Sorry, but for almost €30, I want to be full at a Greek restaurant. It's a good thing I still had Maultaschen in the fridge at home! From the meager appetizer salad, I already knew where I was headed.

Very pleasant ambiance; we sat outside without a reservation. The service was impeccable, very friendly, and attentive. The menu was straightforward, not overwhelming. The drinks and appetizers arrived very quickly. All in all, everything was perfect. The value for money was excellent in every respect. At the end, there was a delicious schnapps on the house; unfortunately, I forgot to ask what it was. The waiters are all a very young, dynamic team who work well together. We would be happy to come back.

A very nice restaurant on the Oberhausen/Duisburg border. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We ordered a traditional gyro plate and afandou, both of which were delicious. This was accompanied by a small bowl of Metaxa sauce, which had a very fruity flavor and was delicious. If you want to enjoy a pleasant evening with good food, this is the place. We'll try the meze next time we visit.

Style and tasteful furnishings and therefore an even more pleasant atmosphere than before! The service, as always, was very good and was only surpassed by the food!! No, I know Greek cuisine, but what we were offered was a plate with a lot on it. That was all. The meat had no taste (not seasoned) and was sometimes hard. The fries unsalted. The dishes were only lukewarm. So not recommended. I'm sorry. To the owner: I was there!!!! And I don't give my opinion unless I'm asked, I just think about it before I write something. We emptied our plates as we avoid wasting food. 2 people - €50.40

It's different here! You can taste the quality and freshness in every bite. Added to this is the great service: the waitress is always friendly, attentive and has a wonderfully humorous manner that makes the evening even better. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely top. Special reservation requests will be implemented without further ado, even if it is at short notice. For us, this restaurant is the absolute number one when it comes to Greek food. Always my pleasure!

Ambience: The ambience is modern, warm and inviting. After the renovation, the Rhodes shines in new splendor. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger. Food: 12 out of 10! The food is a poem! You can't decide because there is such a great variety of dishes. The food is prepared and served with Greek love. You can taste Greece here! Drinks: A very special highlight are the in-house cocktails at Rhodes! We are totally excited about our own creations and fans of the Rhodes cocktail! Service: The heart of Rhodes is of course the loving, hospitable owners Viki and Georg! They are great hosts and know how to serve their guests and fulfill their every wish. The staff is very attentive and warm. The service stands out from other restaurants because empty plates and glasses are cleared away immediately and the service team is particularly attentive. Another important thing to mention: on Friday and Saturday evenings, depending on the staff, the lights are dimmed and the music is louder. Conclusion: For us the best Greek restaurant! Definitely worth a regular visit!

We visited the restaurant again after the renovation. It turned out really nice, modern and stylish. The food hasn't lost any of its quality, it's super tasty and the portion is big enough. Customer service was good as always. We feel like we are with friends here. It will definitely remain our favorite Greek place. And no, I didn't get anything from the restaurant for it.

Jeder verdient eine 2. oder 3. Chance. Nach Umbau waren wir neugierig und haben dort für den Abend reserviert. Die Renovierung hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Zaziki, Pommes und Salat ok. Aufbackbrötchen haben den Ofen nicht gesehen. Das Fleisch maximal lauwarm und zäh. Schade, wir wohnen fast nebenan und würden gerne öfter zu Fuß dorthin gehen.

Wir sind schon seit Jahren Stammgäste und wurden noch nie enttäuscht !!! Im Oktober fand der große Wandel statt: Der Umbau vom traditionellen Griechen in die Moderne. Georgios macht keine halben Sachen, kein Stein blieb mehr auf dem anderen....Fazit: Gelungen! Raumaufteilung, Qualität der Einrichtung ( zB sehr bequeme Bestuhlung...) , einfach klasse! Für mich das Highlight: Die Glasfront mit Schiebeanlage zum Restaurantgarten. Ansonsten sind alle alten wichtigen Werte wie Service, Qualität des Essens und die freundliche Leitung durch Georgios und Vicky erhalten geblieben.

Incredibly delicious. Were there for the first time today. We waited 15 minutes for the food. Before that came the salad. Simply premium. A slightly smaller young waiter served us. He was very very polite and accommodating. Perfect Greek hospitality. Treat yourself to Ouzo, it doesn't taste better anywhere. Gladly again.

The shop was very nicely decorated, the staff was very nice and friendly (despite the weekend and the full house). The food is fresh (definitely homemade) and super tasty. Even the fries had a unique flavor.

We ate there on Saturday October 21st, 2024, had a nice table outside and the gyro plate was just great, not just visually but also in terms of taste. Very nice owner. When you look at the tzatziki you immediately notice that it is homemade.

Leider nicht mehr zu empfehlen, die Freundlichkeit des Personals wie man sie beim Griechen kennt ist hier definitiv nicht gegeben. Die Portionen lassen an Kinderteller erinnern. Wenn man Gyros mit Metaxasause bestellt, sollte die Sause auch zu sehen sein. Gläser nicht komplett getrocknet vom Spülen. Cappuccinotasse halb voll…Definitiv kein Restaurant wo man zweites Mal hingehen würde. Sehr schade, da es vor einigen Jahren richtig Klasse gewesen ist.

Wir waren mit 5 Personen zum Mittagessen auf Muttertag. Ich kannte das Restaurant schon seit 1999. Haben dort auch geregelt. Es war immer sehr gut. Bedienung, Service und das Essen Ich war bis Corona anfing dort alle 4 Wochen kegeln. Ich empfehle es weiter . Bis bald.

Great service, there were 11 mobile homes there. Very quiet there at night, slept well. The food was very tasty, I had a Metaxa plate, my husband had a gyro plate, both were well stocked and both of them were full. Would love to come back.

We came across the restaurant by chance and based on the reviews and photos shown, we decided to visit the restaurant. And the reviews and photos are absolutely spot on. Friendly and courteous service, not intrusive but always at the table at the right time. We really liked the service alone. 👍👍👍 The selected food was at the table surprisingly quickly and tasted very good from the first fork to the last plate. I haven't eaten so well in a long time, so kudos to the chef. It was our first visit to the restaurant and definitely won't be the last. We've eaten here twice. The food is delicious without a lot of frills. The service is friendly and quick. The second time, however, it was uncomfortably cold in the restaurant so the food got cold very quickly. There is a two star deduction for the ambience.
