Restaurant Rhodos in Schneverdingen

On November 4th, 2025, four of us visited Restaurant Rhodos in Schneverdingen. We were all delighted. For starters, we had chicken soup and tzatziki with bread. Everything was homemade, and you could taste the difference. We also had pepper gyros, gyros with souvlaki, dolmadakia, and stifado. Everything was consistently well-prepared and delicious. We especially recommend the pepper gyros, as it's only available here and is a specialty of the chef. 😉 The service and hospitality were exemplary. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Everyone is warmly welcomed by Christos, and it shows. Thank you so much; we'll definitely be back! 😀😀😀😀

We ordered mezedes and were pleasantly surprised! The taste immediately reminded us of our vacation in Rhodes. A very clean restaurant with friendly service – we'd love to come back!

The restaurant seemed to have been recently renovated. The food was quite tasty, except that some of the side dishes were left behind during the packing process. The staff was super nice and friendly, but it was difficult to ask for more rounds of drinks.

The service is very friendly and attentive, and you always feel welcome. 🍽️ The food and drinks are truly delicious—there's absolutely nothing to complain about. One small downside is that, as a non-regular, you sometimes notice that you're served a little later or the service is a little different. That's a shame, but it doesn't really impact the overall experience. Nevertheless, we're happy to come back, because the good food and pleasant atmosphere always win us over. 🇬🇷✨

We visited the Rhodos restaurant in Schneverdingen and were absolutely thrilled. The food is plentiful, delicious, and freshly prepared. The restaurant is also very child-friendly – ​​the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, making you feel at home right away. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Greek cuisine!

Highly recommended! We were here on a Saturday evening (reservations required), and even though it was busy, the service was super fast. We were served fresh bread and ouzo, and we were refilled when we paid. All the dishes were delicious and the portions were generously sized. The value for money was absolutely spot on.

A short excursion into Greek hospitality We ate there as a family and felt completely at home. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and the service was exemplary throughout the evening – friendly, attentive, and always there to help, without being intrusive. The mezzed dishes were excellent and lovingly prepared. You can tell the quality and passion of the food is what goes into the cooking here. Each course was a small moment of enjoyment in itself. Thank you for this wonderful evening and the culinary mini-vacation to Greece!

I was there today with my wife and child. In my opinion, the best Greek restaurant in a long time. The staff was more than just friendly. They were very fond of children and extremely flexible. The food catapulted us back to the past, as the salad alone was something some others could learn a thing or two from. I ALWAYS eat the same dish (souvlaki) at every Greek restaurant, and I can only say THAT was incredibly delicious. Highly recommended, and the atmosphere is small and truly charming. Thank you very much, and see you next time (maybe tomorrow) ;-)

Fantastic food Good wine We'll be back when we're in the area. Gyros are crispy but not too crunchy. Bifteki with herbs, well-seasoned. Souvlaki with coarse salt and herbs. Really great. Perfect rice.

Four of us ate at Rhodos today. The chef and the waitress were very friendly and accommodating. Ordering was easy, and the food was brought to our table quickly. Absolutely delicious, highly recommended. We'd love to come back. Oh, and a welcome ouzo and an ouzo after dinner were complimentary.

In Schneverdingen. There was this alternative Greek Rhodes. The food was a little different than expected. There was a lot to choose from, but something was missing in terms of taste.

I always eat here when I visit Camp Reinsehlen. Friendly staff, delicious food, and a nice atmosphere. A bit cramped and therefore quite noisy, but still recommended.

Beautiful, modern and cozy restaurant. Food came very quickly (even though it was full) and was incredibly tasty. The portions are large. The owner was very attentive and incredibly friendly. Nothing negative to report. Clear recommendation!

A great restaurant with authentic Greek cuisine. We really enjoyed the fried sardines. Gyros Skordatos with garlic herbs is also highly recommended, the meat was juicy and well seasoned. We spent a really nice evening in the Rhodes restaurant.

Everything was just right, my husband had Bifteki, very well seasoned and super light, and the gyros gratinated also tasted very good. A great oil was used for the fries, you can taste it and the crowning glory was the tzatziki, so tasty and fluffy. You realize that the craft is fun and cooking is a passion. The customer is still king, and you can see that in the service, everyone is very nice. We come from Heidelberg and are passing through and when we come back we will go to Rhodes again. I ate there with my mother spontaneously and on the recommendation of the “Schafsstall” location. We were very enthusiastic, the service, a blonde lady was very attentive and always looked after us, very friendly! The ambience was also good and the food was also very good 👍 Price performance was right! We'd be happy to come back again!

Very nice and small Greek restaurant, food was very tasty and of good quality. The price-performance ratio is okay. Service was good, nice and very attentive, you didn't have to wait long for your food. First of all there was bread with a delicious, homemade herb butter and of course ouzo on the house. The store was already busy relatively early on. The shop is clean and cozy. We have been there before and were also very satisfied. Can only be recommended.

Found it on Google and it's really true. Food very good and delivered quickly. Boss friendly and very attentive. This is really worth it.

We had reserved a table on a small scale (10 people) for a civil wedding. When we arrived we were not greeted. The innkeeper seems to be “running” the place on his own. Inside it doesn't look particularly Greek, unfortunately there's a lack of ambience. We then waited 25 minutes to then possibly order drinks at our own request, which we failed to do. The menu leaves a lot to be desired and one sentence on the menu completely shocked me, in any case the store likes to waste food... Long story short, we immediately moved to the next restaurant, the Athens in Schneverdingen, which is in no way comparable. Conclusion: Never again, worst restaurant experience ever. It's better to go to a restaurant, like Athens, where you are treated well and the atmosphere makes you feel comfortable ✌️👍

Always worth a visit for food. The team around boss Christos is always helpful and nice. Delicious food at still acceptable prices.

Had a lovely meal here the food was brilliant especially the peppers on the mixed meze. They didnt speak alot of English but they were still very accomodating and helpful and it added to the enjoyment trying to communicate. We downloaded an app which takes pictures and translate the words to understand the menu as it was all in German. Would 100% return again

Service super friendly and extremely attentive, great service. Fries, rice and tzatziki were great, but calamri wasn't fried properly and the bifteki unfortunately wasn't fried well... It was still a bit raw, which is why I unfortunately have to deduct 2 stars. Breaded feta was very, very tasty. The Metaxa sauce tasted very fatty and not at all like Metaxa, just like cream (a shame). The ambience does not correspond to a typical Greek restaurant, we found it very uncomfortable. Unfortunately the price performance doesn't match either. Toilets were very clean.

Sehr freundliches Personal und Chef. Sehr übersichtliche Speisenauswahl, jedoch sehr gut auf die griechische Küche spezialisiert und lecker. Geheimtipp: „Merzedes“. Leider selber nur gesehn aber bei nächster Gelegenheit sicherlich bestellt. Wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal.

The dishes are not "0815", even the Vorseose pepperoni...you can taste that they come from the grill, the meat is always juicy and there are many variations of gyros, which ALL taste very good. I can't judge the ambience because we always order to be picked up and I've honestly never set foot in the restaurant itself. But it all tastes very good

Das Essen war reichlich und hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war auch sehr nett und der Preis war auch gut. Also man kann dieses Restaurant sehr weiter empfehlen.

Kleines gemütliches Griechisches Restaurant. Gute Portionen normale Preise. Nettes Personal und einen Begrüßungs Ouzo bekommt man auch. Ambiente ist ok. Waren Sonntags nach 21:00h dort und wurden auch noch bedient.

Wir waren auf dem Heidschnuckenweg wandern und haben dort auf Empfehlung gegessen. Nettes gut besuchtes Lokal. Essen war super. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sein sollten, gehen wir gerne wieder dort hin.

Nachdem wir an einem Freitagabend einen Tisch reserviert hatten entschieden wir uns zu viert spontan für die Mezedes. Eigentlich geht das nur auf Vorbestellung und trotz vollem Laden machte der Koch es für uns möglich. Und es war großartig!! Warme Vorspeisen und kleine Portionen der Hauptgerichte, Gyros, Schweinefilet, Calamares, Fisch....und so gut wie keine Sättigungsbeilagen, so dass wir aus dem Vollen schöpfen konnten. Sehr sehr leckeres Essen, ein bisschen feiner als sonst beim Griechen erwartet. Am Schluß gab es sogar noch einen kleinen Joghurt mit Honug für jeden, obwohl das eigentlich nicht zum Menu gehrt. Sensationelles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und viel (!!!) schöner als ein Buffet. Absolute Empfehlung, nicht zu toppen!

Das Schweinefilet war so zäh. Zum Teil konnte man das nicht essen. Die Pfefferrahmsauce war ziemlich scharf. Etwas weniger scharf wäre besser gewesen. Der Salat war sehr gut und die Pommes auch. Der Service war gut.

Wir sind im Urlaub und zum ersten mal hier im Restaurant Rhodos. Was sollen wir sagen, ein tolles Restaurant mit Herz. Das Personal ist super freundlich und geht auch sehr auf Kinder ein. Zu Beginn gab es einen Begrüßungsouzo und Baguette mit Knoblauchbutter. Für unseren Sohn gab es sogar ein Pixi-Buch. Nach der Getränkebestellung haben wir unser Essen bestellt, dieses lies nicht lange auf sich warten und es war sehr lecker. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind am Rathaus und vor dem Restaurant ausreichend vorhanden. Anmerkung am Rande: Ich möchte hier noch auf eine vorhergehende Rezession von S K von heute eingehen: Leider hat diese Person es verpasst das gute Essen zu genießen. Unser Sohn (6) ist direkt nach unserem Eintreffen im Restaurant auf das Personal zugegangen und hat nach einer Karte gefragt. Das unser Kind besonders laut ist/war möchten wir gerne anzweifeln. Nach dem Abholen der Speisekarten hat er sich hingesetzt und lautlos ein Video geschaut. Sein Reis hat er vor unserem Essen bekommen und in Ruhe aufgegessen.

Wir waren spontan mit 15 Leuten da und wurden mit einer bunten Tafel voller Spezialitäten des Hauses verwöhnt. Sehr lecker und super Service 👍😊
