We spontaneously decided to have dinner here. Portions were small but expensive. The meat was completely overcooked, lukewarm, and dry to the point of being tough. I ordered Metaxa sauce instead of tzatziki with my meal. It was inedible; it tasted like creamy mushroom sauce with lots of large pieces of mushroom in it. It also seemed like the cook had mixed up the salt and sugar. When I complained, the only response was "oh." No apology. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant and will certainly not be visiting it again.

I wanted to eat something special and the lamb was cooked perfectly.

For a Greek restaurant, the food wasn't what I'm used to. That is, it wasn't as filling, but it was quite expensive. The taste was okay. The service was polite but not attentive. The ambiance was very pleasant.

Beautifully designed and furnished Greek restaurant, not at all impressive from the outside. The owner opened his day off especially for us (a group of 14 people). Friendly and fast service, delicious food, and good value for money.

I was here to celebrate or round off a wonderful and successful day with some friends. We spontaneously called about an hour and a half before to request a table for 6 people, which we got without any problems. The restaurant is very easy to find, and parking is also not a problem due to its proximity to the train station. However, to get into the restaurant, you have to climb one or two steps, which may be difficult or even more difficult for people with walking difficulties. The entrance door and the dining room are wide enough to pass through with a wheelchair. The restrooms are at ground level, but a bit narrow, which is more difficult for people with walking aids or walking companions. There is also no wheelchair-accessible restroom. The dining room itself has a cozy and quiet ambiance, decorated in a traditional Greek style. It is relatively small compared to other restaurants, so it is definitely advisable to call ahead to check if there are any seats available. The restaurant is owned and run by the Greek Filippos family. About the food🍴: The menu is tidy and there are hardly any non-Greek dishes. There are two categories of appetizers: cold and hot. From the cold selection, we had Dolmadkia (vine leaves stuffed with rice and herbs, served with tzatziki) and from the warm selection, Piperakia alla Filippos (grilled peppers with garlic sauce). I highly recommend both dishes, even though I was initially skeptical about the vine leaves😅 The main courses are divided as follows: beef, pork, poultry, lamb, and fish. In addition to the salad selection, there's also a salad for vegetarians and vegans. Everyone will find something here and will be satisfied! I had the "special plate" for my main course. This was followed by an appetizer plate (picture 1). Then came the actual special plate (grill plate) with a generous portion of gyros with onions, chicken breast fillet, pork fillet, a meat skewer, and tzatziki (picture 2). Served with a choice of fries or rosemary potatoes (Image 3). I really enjoyed it and got my money's worth. My friends also had a special plate, a farmer's pan (pork fillet with onions, diced tomatoes, mild peppers, feta cheese, and oregano), kotopoulo piperato (chicken breast fillet with pepper sauce), and a moussaka (potato, eggplant, and zucchini casserole with ground beef and béchamel sauce). Almost all dishes are served with a small mixed salad. If you'd like to check out the menu, you can do so on the Rhodos Restaurant website. We were all very satisfied and very full. At the end, the chef, in true traditional style, offered us all a free ouzo. That rounded it all off for me👌🏻. There's also a very good drinks menu, with everything from coffee and hot drinks to soft drinks, beers, and schnapps. You can pay here in cash or with an EC card. If you want to pay in cash but don't have any cash, you'll find a Sparkasse bank 200 meters up the road next to Expert Klein. For me and my friends, it was an exceptionally pleasant evening with good food, drinks, service, and entertainment, and we would come back anytime👍🏻 Thank you🙏🏻

Very tasty dishes and relatively reasonable prices. You should bring a bit of time, though. Filippos is always calm! If you're short on time and want a quick meal, it's best not to come here on weekends or holidays. Since the restaurant isn't very large, a reservation by phone is definitely recommended. You'll always receive a very warm and personal welcome upon arrival from the chef, Filippos himself. For some time now, he's also been "enlisting" his lovely daughter as a server, and occasionally his nephew as well. After the long reconstruction of the streets around Mayen's Ostbahnhof (Eastern Train Station), many new parking spaces are now available in the immediate vicinity. 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 5 stars! Critical comment about the "reviewer" SAMUEL MANNS: What you wrote there is absolute impudence! 👎You're spreading a rumor, which is already quite a statement in itself! A rumor is a rumor, and something like that doesn't belong in a review! How stupid and brazen a person must be to spread a rumor here that is in no way proof. If I were the owner of the "Rhodos," I would sue you for slander! They had me at their dolmedakia. Home made and absolutely delicious. The Thessaloniki plate for two was excellent and the tzatziki made me want to lick the plate. Prices are absolutely reasonable and the service is good

The food is good, but I have to agree with the previous speakers, the portions are relatively small for the price. The tzatziki with the gyros could also have been a little more. The service and the ambience are very good.

The meat was raw on the inside and wasn't cooked through, the service was rude, we won't be coming back, it used to be very good and has gone bad!

The food and ambience were good, even if I hit the wall at one point. What doesn't work for me, however, is offering things like a sauce, for example, which then cost extra without being announced and show up on the bill. Almost seven euros for a small portion of tzatziki is fair. Therefore unfortunately no recommendation.

We were lucky that we ordered our birthday buffet there. Filippos delivered a great selection of excellent quality. There really was something for everyone. Meat lovers, vegetarians and guests with lactose intolerance found plenty to choose from. Both we and the guests were thrilled with it.

The food is good and everything was very tasty, but the portions are far too small for the prices, especially the rice as a side dish. That was different. Despite the starter and main course I wasn't really full and I just expect that given the prices. The service is good and friendly, only when it's crowded it takes a little longer to be served.

I can only rate the gyros and the fish platter and both dishes had no taste. The size of the portions wasn't overwhelming, if at least the meat and fish had been tasty. I'm already over 60 and have been to at least. 50 Greeks, unfortunately the Rhodes is one of the 5 worst.

That was the best Greek food I've ever had. Can only recommend it and we will definitely come back. Everything was perfect and the Greek hospitality was noticeable in every second. If I could give 100 stars I would too.

We have been guests at Filippos for at least 20 years. Not once did we have any complaints about the food. And... over the years we have eaten and tried out a number of different dishes. Even though tastes are of course different, it is very surprising to us that someone would give an absurd rating here!😒 Anyway; We will continue to be guests at Filippo's in the future and enjoy the excellent food. 😃

We became aware of this restaurant through a voucher book and tested it once. We got a place for two people at short notice on a Sunday evening. The food was very tasty, the right seasoning, temperature and the prices were reasonable these days. The waiting time was absolutely reasonable and we never had to wait long. The staff is really friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back. Keep it up and stay true to yourself.

Super nice owner, unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. We were there with a larger group, unfortunately the cola didn't taste good at all. When we asked, we got a whole new bottle, but unfortunately we saw that the best-before date had expired. We were not charged for it afterwards either. Unfortunately, the food was also very tasteless, the dressing on the salad was like pure vinegar. Maybe we just had a bad day. But the owner was very friendly and apologized several times. Unfortunately, we would not visit the restaurant again due to the bad experience...

Hello, we were there for dinner last night, I ordered the 51 (gyros in cream sauce). I have never eaten such bad gyro meat anywhere as in this restaurant, the meat was just gristly and like chewing gum. But I have to say the beer was delicious :)

Unfortunately, the few parking spaces were occupied by the owner himself. But you can still find something in public places around it. The Rhodes restaurant is located on a street corner and the entrance itself didn't seem particularly inviting. It's not huge inside, but it's cozy. We were greeted at the entrance and kindly shown to a free table. The innkeeper wasn't quite sure whether he was grumpy or in a good mood! Unfortunately the service took a long time! The restaurant wasn't very busy yet and we had been sitting for quite a while before the menu came out. Another drink could only be ordered after the starter came. My companion's not-yet-empty glass of Cola was also taken away!!!!! The young lady in service was quite confused and often didn't know which table the order belonged to! The tzatziki was just right, but the pita unfortunately fell victim to the strong “roasted aromas” of the contact grill. Even if the acrylamide was only on it in strips, unfortunately it just tasted burnt! We both had a filet tip dish (but not the same one!). However, I found my portion to be very small for the price and compared to the portion of my companion! The meat and vegetables were cooked to perfection, but the seasoning was not to our liking! I chose rosemary potatoes as a side dish! Unfortunately, they have been prepared with salt for too long - this results in water loss and the potatoes don't cook! Apart from that, these weren't typical rosemary potatoes (small potatoes with the skin on and cut in half), but rather large potatoes, peeled and cut into coarse pieces! Unfortunately, due to its size and taste, it is completely unsuitable for this form of preparation! The toilets were clean, although the toilet flushing system needs an overhaul. Conclusion It was okay, you can go there. But unfortunately it won't be my favorite!

Hier waren wir 2x, das erste und das letzte Mal! Vorab, es hat eigentlich gar nicht schlecht geschmeckt! Sehr kleine Portionen für viel Geld. Panierter Schafskäse,ein kleines Stück max 100gr. fertig 3 kleine Stücke Salat( eine schmale Scheibe Gurke, ein kleines Stück Tomate und ein kleines Blatt Salat) und-Zack- hat man 10€ auf dem Bon ! 2 kleine Frikadellen, ein Löffel Gyros, eine überschaubare Portion Pommes, ein grosser Löffel gebratene Zwiebeln- Zack-19€, Dass die bestellte Mayo nicht kam aber trotzdem berechnet wurde passt ins Bild. Ob das Essen schmeckt oder ob man Durst hat interessiert auch keinen.

Very good food at a good price-performance ratio. Pleasant interior with a Greek atmosphere. The boss is friendly and accommodating. If the restaurant is full, the service would benefit from another assistant. Overall, I recommend it almost without reservation.

Freundliches Personal und gutes Essen, Trotz das es komplett ausgebucht war. Wurden keine Mühen gescheut uns einen Tisch zu geben. Der Service war top und das Essen sehr gut. Immer wieder gerne.

Wir haben dort für 8 Personen Essen bestellt und abgeholt. Jeder Portion war winzig, keiner wurde satt. Geschmeckt hat es dennoch, aber das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht.

Der Standort bzw das Gebäude ist zwar nicht so einladend aber das Essen der Service und das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis waren sehr gut kann es nur empfehlen

Typisch griechisches, sauberes Restaurant mit den entsprechenden Gerichten ala Gyros und Co. Insgesamt gut gewürzte Gerichte, die appetitlich angerichtet sind. Die Fleischauswahl macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck, also wenig Fett und trotzdem saftig. Salate sind frisch und knackig. Preis/Leistung ist gut. Insgesamt uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, sehr gutes Essen und schneller aufmerksamer und netter Service. Und für 2 Personen mit vorspreise und Hauptgericht ca. 35€ ist mehr als ein Super Preis für das was geboten wird ! Wir gehen immer wieder gerne hier her :)

Leckeres Essen und guter Service

Samstag Abend 18 Uhr wurden wir 4 Personen( 2Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) ohne Reservierung dazwischen geschoben! Vielen Dank dafür!! Das Essen war sehr gut. Schönes Ambiete, sehr herzliche Gastgeber!

Wir waren drei Personen! Sind heute spontan nach der Arbeit Essen gegangen! Der Kellner war sehr freundlich! Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Einrichtung nicht zu überladen! Ein schönes Griechisches Restaurant! Kommen bestimmt wieder! Aber diesmal mit Reservierung! Denn auch unter der Woche ist das Restaurant sehr gut besucht! Das sagt doch schon alles oder!!???

Restaurant mit guter mediterraner Küche Die Lammkoteletts waren sehr lecker gewürzt und saftig gegrillt. Der aufmerksame Kellner war dafür, dass er allein war, erstaunlich schnell. Das griechische Bier vom Fass ist empfehlenswert, es kann durchaus mit einem bayerischen Bier mithalten. Die Toiletten sind sauber und gepflegt. Ein durchaus empfehlenswertes Restaurant.

Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man sich "tapasartig" viele griechische Kleinigkeiten für den ganzen Tisch bringen lässt. Sehr aufmerksamer Service!

Bis zur Getränke Bestellung vergingen 15 Minuten und nach geschlagene 1 1/2 Stunden kam schließlich unser Essen. Die Pommes konnte man von Hand abzählen, so dass direkt noch eine Familienportion Pommes nachbestellt wurde. Der Geschmack aller Speisen war gut, aber leider qaren die Teller total lieblos gestaltet.Für jede einzelne Getränkenachbestellung musste man an die Theke gehen. Das Personal ist total überfordert. Wir suchen uns ein anderes griechisches Restaurant.

Das Personal war nett und freundlich. Es hat am Anfang ein wenig länger gedauert bis sich um uns gekümmert wurde, aber mit der Zeit wurde es besser. Das Essen war eine angemessene Portion. Das Fleisch war saftig und nicht trocken. Extrawünsche wurden auch berücksichtigt. Der Gastraum war ein wenig kühl und jedes Mal wenn die Tür aufging hat es an den Füßen gezogen. Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder, aber dann mit Strickjacke 😀

Wartezeiten waren vorab von uns eingeplant, Personal gnadenlos überfordert bei vollem Haus, Vorspeise hat gefehlt, wurde aber freundlicherweise wenigstens auf der Rechnung mit abgehalten. 2 x Platte für 2 Personen lieblos, gestaltet, Pommes für 2 Pers. abgezählt, extra Zaziki auf dem Teller befriedigend. Geschmacck war gut, aber für den Preis hatten wir schon anders gestaltete Platten für 2...:-(

Es könnte ein gutes Restaurant sein. Ein gutes Restaurant bietet freundlichen Service beim Empfang der Gäste. Wir warteten bereits 20 Minuten obwohl reserviert war, ohne dass uns jemand angesprochen hat. The service bis zum austeilen das Essen war in Ordnung. Kleine Vorspeise sogar auf Kosten des Hauses war wunderbar. die Getränke kamen sehr schnell obwohl die beiden Servicekräfte mit wahrscheinlich über 60 Gästen genug zu tun hatten. ich bestellte laut Karte gegen einen Aufpreis von 3 € anstelle eines kleinen gemischten Salates einen Bauernsalat. Es gab darin 5 Mini Schafskäsewürfel, eine Peperoni, vier kleine Salatblätter kein Stück Krautsalat was laut meiner Erfahrungen zur griechischen Küche eigentlich dazu gehört. Der Salat wurde gleichzeitig mit dem warmen Essen serviert. Ich hätte ihn vorab erwartet. Verblüfft war ich davon, dass mein Gyros Teller genauso viele Beilagen, Pommes, hatte, wie der meines 10 jährigen Kindes. Wenige. Wegen des Salates hatte ich nachgefragt. Nachdem die Angestellte keine Auskunft gab kam wohl der Chef des Hauses dazu. Den Gesprächsverlauf möchte ich nicht widerspiegeln, jedoch war eine der Kernaussagen, ich sei die einzige die sich hier beschweren würde und hier sein nur Stammgäste. Vielleicht muss das Restaurant dann in Zukunft Reservierungen von externen Gästen ablehnen. Kundenservice und Freundlichkeit sind hier leider nicht an der Tagesordnung.

Wir waren auf den barometer im Rhodos Restaurant. Wir hatten 2 Grillteller ausgewählt. Mit griechischem Essen hatte das gar nichts zu tun. Das Fleisch war soooo schlecht, Salat Katastrophe und erst die überbackenen Kartoffeln eine Zumutung.
