We were there with four adults and two children, and the food was excellent—hot and cold appetizers, sardines and gyros, and a children's menu. The food was very typically Greek, with great service and very reasonable prices. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food! We tried the Tomato Soup and it was outstanding! Be prepared to start your meal with an Ouzo shot (included). We followed it up with Olives which were incredibly flavorful. One order of Baked Calamari and rice, which was cooked to perfection. The wild rice lacked real flavor, but paired well with Calamari and the provided sauce. The winner though was the soup. Staff were incredibly friendly, and added to the experience of this great dinner.

You can eat well, but the conditions are sometimes unfriendly - we made reservations for two people at short notice by telephone. When we arrived, we were assigned a seat, I was already sitting, then another waiter came running over to tell us to sit somewhere else (in front of the toilet) even though there were several other seats available, which we also asked for . After turning his eyes around the cellar, he gave us the other place but said that we had to be ready by 10 p.m. because he would then need the space (yes, the kitchen closes at 10 p.m., so no other guests will have reserved a reservation - In addition, almost the entire restaurant was empty until 10 p.m., so there was enough room for other guests if they came that late without wanting to eat!!!!!

How can you find this quality in Landau? Just try it without worrying,,,, I go there regularly with my wife, it's getting better and better. A nice man comes to the entrance to pick you up, always on the best terms. With the best ingredients. Price is very cheap compared to quality. But don't forget to make a reservation in advance, without a reservation there is no chance.

We had a wonderful stay at the Poseidon. Everything was just perfect. From the beautiful ambiance and excellent food to the reasonable price. Also worth mentioning is the friendly and welcoming nature of the entire staff. A truly top-notch address.

Saturday evening at Poseidon it was packed upstairs and downstairs we had reserved, Since we were a little early we had to wait in a long queue, there our table still was occupied. The food arrived like it was on a conveyor belt, the starter hadn't been touched yet, the salad came straight after, the main course, the food was subterranean and still half raw! (The kitchen was probably totally overwhelmed and couldn't cope with the stress and only had one job to do with the food no matter what!) The basement of the MEGA was in stress said that's how it should be! When we returned the plates half full there was no response. That's a shame for the food that is thrown away and a shame for my money that wasn't worth the food. Unfortunately, it's a long way from a leisurely meal here - the waiters carry the food past you constantly and the two telephones ring on a continuous loop very unpleasant for the guest. After You won't be served the main course either, man must for dessert, Coffee or another drink is already very decisive in the cellars. We'll think carefully about whether to do it again go there. Apparently the bosses can't get enough of it here, so it doesn't have any effect on the guests at the Poseidon is worth more…………. That was different VERY, VERY Pity for the beautiful restaurant!!!!!

The atmosphere in the basement is very appealing. We were 8 people. The food and drinks were given to the first person who came best, and we then had to distribute it among ourselves. The plate for 2 people came lukewarm and was cold after 5 minutes. The feedback was not taken seriously. The waiter was quite arrogant, know-it-all and didactic.

Reservation NO MATTER waiting is the order of the day. There are promised tables, but only until people you know from the staff arrive, after which changes to your own table are apparently a must. Food was okay, there are actually better sushi and starters also left a lot to be desired. The employees often had to repeat themselves because of understanding. But at least the staff was very polite. Recommendation: only if you have enough time in the waiting area.

Very friendly service. Fast service. Great ambience. The starter of baked calamari was brilliant. I've never eaten so well. I couldn't eat all of the homemade mayo because I didn't want to distort the taste. Marathon plate (lamb chops, suflaki skewers, gyros, tzatziki, tomato rice) was also great, but you have to run a marathon afterwards to work it all off again. At first I thought it was for 2. Mocha was also delicious.

It was a highlight to eat at Poseidon again. I had booked a table, thank God, because at 1 p.m. that Saturday every seat was taken. After the renovation, the rooms became very nice. What you can't say about the food. We waited over 90 minutes for our food. When it arrived it was only lukewarm, but my wine was now warm from waiting forever. There were no complaints about the food as there was no waitress to be found. Even if the store is full, there should be enough staff on site. If that's not the case, you can't let the store get full; you can control that wonderfully through reservations. We enjoyed going to Poseidon often, but the last few times it got worse and worse. Some dishes were no longer available, I find something like that impossible. It's a shame, but we'll look for another regular lolal

Waited over 1.5 hours for the food. Then we were told that it was our own fault that we had to wait because we were 15 minutes late. Food was cold, almost raw. This was definitely our first and last visit to this restaurant. The service also left a lot to be desired.

Food at excessive prices must be rejected... After medically proven FOOD POISONING / FISH POISONING (i.e. no allergy!), which began to show itself in the restaurant, picked up by the EMERGENCY DOCTOR and subsequent HOSPITAL STAY, we can no longer recommend this restaurant! As some previous speakers have already reported: "The quality of the food, meat - raw, cold, inedible, particularly noticeable in the fish dishes, which are not properly fried & service unfortunately - like the dishes - leaves a lot to be desired. ,, The “classic” is probably incorrect storage (insufficient refrigeration, interruption of the cold chain) or waiting too long during/for preparation. As the decay processes begin, bacteria form which can lead to symptoms of poisoning if consumed. It is a typical food poisoning. Other identifying signs (consistency, appearance) indicate whether a fish is still fresh. Oysters, mussels and squid are particularly perishable because their proteins decompose very easily, but Cl are particularly dangerous. Botulinum strains that do not have any protein-degrading properties and therefore do NOT lead to an odor or gas formation in contaminated food. 60 °C in the core alone is not able to produce Cl. to eliminate botulinum. Storage in vacuum packaging ensures an oxygen-free environment, which prevents the proliferation of many microorganisms, but prevents Cl, for example. botulinum and thus can promote toxin formation. When there is a lot going on it is a bit noisy, not suitable for entertaining friends who haven't been seen for a long time, but the food is excellent.

After receiving a somewhat rude welcome because we were 13 minutes late, we were then warmly served and looked after. Food and drink came quickly to the table. The food was very tasty, we were all very satisfied.

We've been visiting Poseidon off and on for a few years now and that's why we can draw comparisons to "back in the day". Overall, I think the quality of the food has decreased somewhat. This is particularly noticeable in the fish dishes. My "grilled salmon" consisted of 2 very narrow strips, was a bit mushy on the inside, the layered trio of vegetables was still hard, the tomato rice and the wine were good. Service, as always, very nice, I really like the atmosphere in the main building. The constant, clearly audible telephone ringing is somewhat annoying. And that you have had a “stay limit” for some time, which is often communicated to you when you make the (strongly recommended) reservation. I think that comes at the expense of comfort.

So I really have to say that this establishment is definitely not suitable for a visit with a larger group. I can't understand the good recessions. My wife and I had dinner there today. First of all, you have to wait a long time before you are even served. Only after the boss looked around in the lower area of ​​the restaurant and saw how dissatisfied we were did a service person come. After we ordered, a few people walked past us who left unhappy because they had to wait more than 20 minutes and couldn't place their order. We ordered a Hermes plate and bifteki with tomato rice. Unfortunately, the Hermes plate was a total flop in terms of taste and the gyros was chopped small and not very edible. The tomato rice was greasy and oily. The bifteki barely had any sheep's cheese filling and tasted strange. Price/performance was great in itself but still too much due to the poor quality. We wouldn't eat here again.
