For me the best Greek in the region! The food is always great, the service is super friendly - you just feel really comfortable there. The vaulted cellar in winter and the inner courtyard in summer offer a great ambience. From the first date to the wedding and many wedding anniversaries - we have still enjoyed going there for 20 years and the quality and friendliness are still convincing!

We've been in Poseidon for years

There were a total of four of us eating lunch outside at lunchtime. The ambience is very nice. The portions were larger a few years ago. The service was also better. We sat there for ages and wanted to order something to drink. Every waiter ignored us. At some point a waiter saw us. The waiters were friendlier.

We were in this restaurant with 5 people on a working day, but - thanks to the nice weather - we only used the outdoor area to eat our food. What was striking was the great friendliness of the staff!🙏 We immediately felt good! The lunch menu had a large selection of typical Greek dishes. We all really enjoyed what was served and it was also quite cheap. Our absolute recommendation for the Poseidon,👍😀

It's almost unbelievable how you can offer such good food and such fast service in this beautiful atmosphere for such a low price (lunch menu). No wonder, the cozy inner courtyard was very busy at lunchtime. An absolute recommendation - and not just because of the ouzo served before and after the meal. . .

Four of us ate there on Saturday... What can I say... It wasn't the burner. After years we tried to eat there again because we had been disappointed so many times in the past. So again this evening. I had specially ordered a mixed skewer that consisted exclusively of three types of loin. Pork loin. Beef loin and lamb loin. All of them were completely dry and well-done, the fries were soggy and bland...SALAD NOT A highlight. I used to always look forward to the side salad.. With a dollop of zsazilki and the olive on top.. But that hasn't happened for a long time..Unfortunately. I didn't complain that evening because my husband and I were invited by friends. .. We didn't want to do that to our inviters at that moment. Although their food didn't look that promising either. Conclusion: For us, the decision to go to this restaurant is over once and for all. That has nothing to do with culinary enjoyment. And the waitresses are just doing their job.. Nothing more, nothing less.. And when I was clearing away, as so often, I missed asking whether everything was okay.. It's a shame.. But it's a waste of my money and my time .

Despite rush hour and very late reservations, there is warm service, a great ambience and delicious food at a price that you don't often find anymore. Clear recommendation! We will be back!

We are on vacation near Landau and enjoyed our first warm meal at Poseidon today. Price-wise, really great for the current situation. For around 15€ (without a drink) you will be full and with high quality food that is well prepared. The staff was very nice and there was also a little chat. The restaurant definitely has my recommendation. You can eat outside, in the vaulted cellar and certainly above in the usual restaurant area. Keep it up :-)

We were there with 14 people for a birthday party. Reservation essential as it was very busy outside. Ordering was easy and drinks were delivered quickly. Our son had an apple spritzer, but it was extremely thin. Someone at the table jokingly said “white wine spritzer”. So given the pale color, a maximum of 10% juice, the rest water. Appetizers arrived very quickly and main courses arrived before everyone was completely finished with the appetizer. Quality and taste of the starters were good. In the case of the main courses, at least the meat seems to be kept warm longer, which also explains the quick delivery of the main courses. Unfortunately, the meat was consistently dry and salty, otherwise seasoned blandly. Tzatziki rather poor quality and taste. Baked vegetables in a greasy sauce with too much cheese. Thank God there was free ouzo… One pregnant person in our group couldn't finish it all and asked for the rest to be packed up. This was answered in the affirmative and the plate was cleared. Unfortunately nothing ever came back packed. A sauce was also ordered extra. But this was never brought. Only then it suddenly appeared on the bill and the waiter immediately became rude, saying that they should have complained about it immediately and now nothing can be changed once the bill has been printed. Toilets very clean at first glance. For the women, however, the toilet bowls were invariably placed low, at child height. A normal-sized woman has a hard time with this. Toilet paper was only in rolls on top, the dispenser was empty (all 4 cubicles). At the sink the paper towels were also in rolls (very damp because everyone was picking at them with wet hands) next to the sink. The designated dispenser is also empty.

At first I didn't like the place the waiter showed us. This is a table against the wall in a large hall under the gramophone. The table stands close to the partition, close to which there is also another table, only on the other side. A group of colleagues had a very noisy lunch there. There is another table at the outstretched hand by the window, it was also occupied. The atmosphere ended up being like being in a crowded tram at rush hour. But I don’t consider the waiter to be at fault, because if we had asked for another place, I think they would have provided it to us. For example, there were places in the basement, and the basement also looked very interesting and authentic, but there was no opportunity to check it out, since my husband was hungry and did not want to move anywhere. The food kindly brought to us turned out to be very tasty! Therefore, I gradually almost forgot the inconvenience and simply had a delicious lunch. I had salmon and vegetables from the grill, along with a delicious sauce and long and wild rice. My husband was also very pleased with the meat, he had a "country plate".

Went there for dinner today after a trip to Wissembourg. It was a nice restaurant. It was very busy (full) but the service was friendly and prompt. The dishes were all delicious and the prices were very fair. Each had a starter and a main course + drinks. All in all, it was a successful end to the trip and we would recommend the restaurant. We'd love to come back again.

I expected more given the very good rating. Gyros and souflaki were dry. The calamari is not fried rings. The side salad is loveless with ready-made cocktail sauce and sand in the green salad. No comparison to the otherwise delicious mixed salad at a Greek restaurant. But the bifteki were very tasty. Our male waiter was very unfriendly, clearly out of his job. But the female employee is even more so.

Very friendly staff, but unfortunately not attentive when guests need something, e.g. Beverages. The food was ok, but lacked pizzazz. Unfortunately, liver was far too dry and when we were asked if everything was correct, my answer was "not so". There was no reaction to this.

If I'm in Landau again, I will visit this restaurant again. Starting with the beautiful location (you eat in a brewery cellar downstairs), through the excellent service to the very tasty food - everything is just right there. I had the lamb plate and can highly recommend it. It consists of 3 lamb shanks, a lamb skewer and an elongated piece of lamb. Tomato rice, tzatziki and a salad are served with it. 10 out of 10!

The inconspicuously located Greek restaurant surprises with very tasty and appetizing dishes. We went to eat in the open backyard around 6 p.m. without a reservation on various days in late summer. The nearly 20 tables there filled up surprisingly quickly around 7 p.m. The restaurant on Svhützenstr is within walking distance. From the nearby paid car park you can reach it on the RIGHT after 100 m. Don't be put off by the entrance. The staff is very attentive and extremely friendly. It is served quickly. Enjoyable and pleasant atmosphere gave us a lot of pleasure.

The Poseidon restaurant is basically our regular restaurant. As always, the food was very tasty and also filling. The staff is very friendly and always up for little jokes. The good thing is that the prices for the food here are very good. But you should definitely always reserve a table as the restaurant is always very busy. It's also great to sit outside and the atmosphere is very nice.

Great restaurant, great food and great service. Restaurant has two floors, on the bottom are the toilets, which is not always happy for disabled or old people as the stairs are very steep. There is also a beer garden. You have to look for parking spaces in the city and are therefore subject to a charge.

The Poseidon has long been an institution in Landau. The food is first class, the atmosphere is cozy and the staff is consistently friendly. Overall, a family atmosphere with a reasonable price-performance ratio.

I think this restaurant is great, great food, cheap, great service. One thing I find very, very bad is that dogs are allowed in, it's very unhygienic because I'm allergic to it. So maybe we could do something about that because we come to eat at least twice a month. Otherwise everything was great

Alcohol was served to underage people! They had a shot brought to their table without being asked and of course they did not identify themselves as underage. For me as a mother, this means that I cannot let my teenagers go to a restaurant alone because the staff make serious mistakes!

Well... I don't think I've ever been as happy as I am today!! The food is so delicious, the meat was so tender. The location down in the vaulted cellar is a dream. BUT what's even more important... the service! We were served by Ares and it was just more than beautiful! He is really very accommodating and very nice, and we had a few really nice conversations. I'm just impressed and we'll definitely go there again!!❤️

Ambiance seems inviting and nice. The staff is friendly, but the food was not recommended during our visit. The bread was soggy, the tzatziki was watered down and the meat was inedible. Unfortunately this is no longer an option for us.

Great class. Ok, the Greek dishes are not so varied and very, very meaty. You really have to want that. But the ambience and staff were great. Of course the quality of the meals too. But with the above restrictions.
