We ate here with the whole family this evening and were absolutely thrilled. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was super friendly and attentive, making us feel completely at home. We'll definitely be back – highly recommended.

We chose a variety of appetizers and were truly impressed by the variety of flavors. We particularly enjoyed the eggplant and feta cheese tower, which had a hint of sweetness! The ambiance in the courtyard is very harmonious, and the service is attentive and polite. I'd love to come back :)

One of my best dining experiences! From the moment I entered the restaurant, I felt at home with the smiles and wonderful hospitality of the staff. The interior is warm and inviting, and the aroma of the food whets your appetite right from the start. I tried several different dishes and each one tasted amazing — fresh, aromatic, and completely Mediterranean. The quality of the ingredients was excellent and everything was prepared with care and taste. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a different, healthy, and delicious experience. I will definitely be back!

Based on comparisons, the price-performance ratio is completely out of my opinion. Tiny portions (e.g., a spoonful of Kopnisti for €8 – WITHOUT bread), drinks repeatedly filled well below the recommended size, and the Metaxa gyros without overcooked rice – thus less filling and cheaper to produce than in comparisons – but more expensive, too. And no bread with the meal. And no credit cards! I was very disappointed – especially given the many positive reviews.

I don't need to say much about this restaurant. The manager of this restaurant charged €40 for a combined plate. Every other plate costs a maximum of €20, with the justification that there was a small surcharge for the bifteki and beef liver. The fries weren't cooked through. Not good quality, and there was too little tzatziki. The cola was deflated. The onions were boiled, not fried; it tasted very bad. All together, for two plates—an espresso, a cappuccino, and a wheat cola—it came to €77.10. €50 would have been okay, but not €77.10. We tried to politely discuss it with the manager, but he initially turned us down, then we said we were going to give a bad review. He then approached us and asked how much we wanted back. We said, "You should know, not us!" He said, "You're not getting anything and can just leave!!!" We replied: "Then we'll rate it based on how we felt." He interrupted us with an offer: "You'll get €15 back if you both give us a 5-star review right now." The bottom line: bribery for a good review to get your wasted money back. That's pretty harsh! I've never experienced anything like that in a restaurant before!

Boy, were just passing through. But this was the BEST Greek restaurant I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few. These fries are incredible! The tzatziki was incredibly delicious, the gyro was wow, and the pork steak was incredibly tasty. The salad as an appetizer was incredibly delicious. I tried my friend's bifteki, but I personally didn't like it, but I'm not a fan either. First 5-star review ever. The waiter was funny and very nice. Highly recommended.

A true gem in Ingolstadt! The Poseidon restaurant absolutely won me over. The quality of the food is outstanding – the fish dishes are incredibly delicious, freshly prepared, and perfectly seasoned. I was particularly impressed by the gyro: so tender, so flavorful – I've never tasted better! The side dishes and salads are also top-notch – crisp, fresh, and with homemade sauces that taste simply divine. You can tell right away that the cooking here is done with passion. The team is very friendly, accommodating, and creates a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated and truly cozy – you immediately feel at home and welcome. For me, this is clearly one of the best Greek restaurants far and wide. I'm already looking forward to the next time!

Nice restaurant with solid Greek food. I'd love to come back.

We reserved a table for 6 people. 3 people arrived first and could only order drinks after about 15 minutes. These did not arrive for about 20 minutes after ordering. Then the other 3 people arrived and it took ages again for our drink orders and food to be taken. After waiting 40 minutes and asking the waiter twice to at least bring us the drinks, there was no result. Frustrated, we finally left. We told the staff but they didn't care. Maybe the wait was due to the restaurant being full, but such a long wait exceeds the tolerance limit. We then went to another Greek restaurant. It was also very busy but they had everything under control. Great service and about 2 euros cheaper overall. Never again at Poseidon.

The place is very beautiful, very rich food is very worth compared to other Greek restaurants that I have tried. And the attention was spectacular, very attentive and friendly. I certainly recommend it! PS: You can pay only with EC-Karte but there is a sparkasse to 1 min.

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant, hence the two stars. Unfortunately, my visit was disappointing overall. During my stay, two guests with dogs were allowed into the restaurant, and they remained there throughout the entire meal. As someone with allergies, this is extremely problematic, and difficult to understand from a hygiene perspective. Unfortunately, the food itself was also disappointing: The meat was very fatty and rather weak in flavor. It's a shame, I had hoped for more.

The lamb chops were quite small, not really tender and had a lot of fat. There were also baked potato pieces (not really fried potatoes) and a salad. For €28 the meal is not recommended. My friends were much happier with other dishes.

In short: the gyro was fantastic – no greasy pan gyro, just excellent meat from a skewer. Plus delicious tzatziki, great fries, and an amazingly good green salad. What more could you want? 😎 The service was also friendly and attentive, and we finished with a free ouzo. You truly deserve 5 stars.

Friendly service with delicious food.

Poseidon used to be one of the better Greek restaurants in the city. The quality of the food is still good, but it is now absolutely overpriced and the guests are being completely cheated: We ordered ouzo (2cl according to the menu) and as soon as we ate it we noticed how little there was in the shot glass. We were confirmed when the waiter (kindly) came to the table with a 200ml small ouzo bottle for the bill. Funnily enough, he was able to completely fill about 14 shot glasses with the bottle. That's why the glasses don't have a calibration mark because they only hold approx. 1.5cl due to the thick glass. In addition, the loud, inappropriate music detracted from the atmosphere.

Food was excellent. Unfortunately, it was hard to have a conversation at the table because the unbearable house music was far too loud. And that in a Greek restaurant. We asked three different waitresses to turn it down a bit. All three said yes and then did nothing. That's why we won't be coming back despite the very good food.

We were greeted very politely, but taking the order and finally paying took a long time. Only after repeated requests did the waitress (finally) come with the bill. I have never left a Greek restaurant feeling slightly hungry: Lamb chops with baby potatoes were an absolute disgrace in terms of price, quantity and quality. The accompanying salad saved on the basic things, i.e. no tomatoes, cucumbers and olives. The starter consisting of pita bread and feta cheese was also completely overpriced. Despite the nice atmosphere and service, I cannot recommend the restaurant.

You will receive a very friendly welcome whether on the phone or on site, a big thumbs up to the friendly and very nice waiter. The restaurant decorated very carefully for Valentine's Day with loving decorations and there was good and pleasant music playing. 1. Tables are quite close to the next one, so it's hard to miss other couples. 2. Fast order taking and mediocre serving of courses. 3. The main menu 70 with five pieces of lamb chops and some baby fried potatoes were very disappointing, something you don't usually find in a Greek restaurant! Over half of the meat was just fat and bones and hardly any meat, only eight half potato pieces and a dollop of tzatziki remained. (approx. €29) When it came to the salad, we saved on the basic things, only lettuce and dressing, no tomatoes, cucumbers or even olives. And I'll let the photo speak for the appetizer with feta cheese! 14.-€ approx. with the supposed pita bread which was made from baguette. We waited 30 minutes for our bill, we spoke to three waiters until we finally saw the nice cellar and he sorted it out quickly and a colleague came to finally settle the bill with us. Maybe we'll try a different menu another time and it will be better?.

Die Speisen überzeugen nicht nur mit hervorragender Qualität, sondern auch mit einer liebevollen und ästhetischen Präsentation. Hier wird wirklich ein Erlebnis für alle Sinne geboten. Absolut empfehlenswert – wir kommen garantiert wieder!

The food was tasty, but... Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience. My wife wanted two Suzukis instead of gyros, which, according to the owner, only came with a small extra charge. However, in the end we didn't receive a bill and the total was €8 more than expected - excluding gyros! This means the Suzuki effectively cost €8 more, which seems unjustified. I still tipped, but there shouldn't be any such misunderstandings or hidden costs. It's a shame because we were looking forward to a pleasant visit."

Very loud. It was difficult to have a conversation because of the loud music and the background noise from the guests. I found the children's dish gyros to be unimaginative and not reasonably priced. No zatziki and no ketchup with the fries. Quality of the food was okay. When it came to the dishes, the salad that was mentioned on the menu was forgotten. When asked, the service staff wasn't particularly interested in this. The price didn't take the forgotten salad into account. Not a place I would want to visit again.

We went to the restaurant spontaneously today and were warmly welcomed right from the start and escorted to the table. We were able to admire the beautiful ambience, which didn't seem too exaggerated or artificial, but rather high quality and well thought out. We choose the cold appetizer platter as a starter, as well as the Athens platter and seafood orza. Both dishes were delivered very quickly, freshly prepared and tasted excellent! The excellent service should be emphasized again. The visit was rounded off with a dessert of mocha, before we received a spirits on the house from the owner as a sign of Greek hospitality. When we left the restaurant we were greeted with a handshake and wished we had a nice evening. This certainly won't be the last visit!

Das Poseidon in Ingolstadt hat Tradition. Das Essen ist klassisch wie man es vorm Griechen kennt - Suflaki, Suzuki, Gyros, Reis, Pita - Alles was das Herz begehrt wenn man Appetit auf griechische Küche hat. Allerdings finde ich dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht mehr ganz passt. Daher auch diesmal (trotz dem sehr leckeren Essen) nur 3 Sterne. Insbesondere die Hauptgerichte sind aus meine Sicht für die Preise mittlerweile zu klein, und wenn man Hunger hat und Beilagen oder Vorspeise extra nimmt wird es schon teuer. Positiv ist allerdings das Personal hervorzuheben, das sehr freundlich auf den gast eingeht. Das Poseidon ist weiterhin das beste griechische Restaurant in Ingolstadt aus meiner Sicht, müsste aber beim Preis aufpassen keine Kunden abzuschrecken.

Like every year, our private Christmas party, a Greek festival with food, drinks and lots of ouzo... Very well attended as always, so always make a reservation. Full to the last table that day, unfortunately it probably would have needed 2 more waiters. Everything took a little longer. It's ok when eating, but drinks should be brought to the table quicker. Otherwise always worth a trip 😉

I visited the Poseidon Restaurant in Ingolstadt and overall had a good experience, although there were a few minor weaknesses. I ordered a lamb shank with potatoes and vegetables (around €25), and the food was really great. The lamb shank was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the side dishes were fresh and excellently prepared. Absolutely recommended! I had a special and a coke with it. The Spezi was very tasty, but unfortunately the cola wasn't an original cola, which I found a bit of a shame. The service was friendly, but unfortunately a bit slow. It was very busy that evening and it seemed like the staff were a bit overwhelmed. Nevertheless, they were polite and tried hard. The restaurant was quite loud overall, both because of the many guests and the music. The volume made it difficult to have a normal conversation, which made the stay a bit tiring. The cleanliness was exemplary, especially the toilets were well maintained and clean, which I find very positive. : The Poseidon Restaurant scores with excellent food and a pleasant atmosphere, if you can ignore the noise. Service could be a bit more efficient, especially on busy evenings. Still, I would recommend it, especially because of the great lamb shank. 4 out of 5 stars!

We waited a total of 1 hour for the main course. About 3/4 hours for the dessert. I find it inappropriate. I come to eat and not to wait. The service was also very unfriendly because one of the guests had to quickly check which number she wanted in the menu. Food was still good. I have to be honest about that.

Absolutely not recommended!!! Reserved a table for 7 p.m. and was assigned a table at 7:30 p.m. It's so loud in the shop because the landlord is constantly blasting Greek noises from the loudspeakers at a deafening volume, it's simply unbearable. You can't have a conversation while eating. There are a lot of untrained waitresses scurrying around, no one has a real plan. Constant questions, bill finally received after 30 minutes after numerous requests. But no card payments on weekends. But the tax office is definitely not happy about that. There are savings everywhere: there isn't even bread for a starter platter with various spreads and a small handful of octopus salad (unfortunately there wasn't anything more on it). You have to order and pay extra!!! And the highlight: the innkeeper actually serves the ouzos that come with the bill in shot glasses that only have half the content. It's really scary. There were four of us, we paid a total of around 150 euros and didn't get any corresponding benefits in return. We'll give the store a wide berth in the future. You can forget!!!

Not as good as it used to be, not as nice as it used to be, but outrageously expensive. Starter stuffed grape leaves 3 pieces €9.90, Tzatziki 2 spoons €6.60 without bread Pita bread €3.60 extra Main courses very manageable around €25, beer over €5 plus very economical and friendly. For 2 guests over €80, that's extortionate and simply outrageous. In the past often and with pleasure, now this time in August '24 it was the last time. Really no longer recommended!! A. Müller

Ein Getränk wurde falsch gebracht. Wir mussten dann gefühlt 10 Minuten warten, bis das richtige Getränk geliefert wurde. Die Kalamari waren sehr zäh. Als dies beim Abräumen bemängelt wurde, kam nicht einmal eine Gefühlsregung, geschweige denn eine Entschuldung oder Dergleichen. Nach dem Essen habe wir dann mindestens 20 Minuten lang versucht zu bezahlen. Dazu haben wir 3 verschieden Bedienungen angesprochen. Als dann tatsächlich jemand kam, konnte nur bar bezahlt werden. Wäre schön gewesen, wenn man das vorher schonmal kommuniziert hätte. Nicht jeder hat heutzutage noch Bargeld bei sich.

I really liked how they deboned the fish right at our table, it was a nice touch. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. I ordered shrimp sagananaki from many Greek restaurants. I have eaten better ones when the restaurant has had the same owners for years. Wer griechisches Essen auf höherem Niveau genießen möchte ,ist hier genau richtig. Wir fanden es lediglich etwas schade, dass es keinen schönen Außenbereich gibt. Aber gut, es ist wie es ist. A big recommendation for Ingolstadt Village visitors. This was our second time there. I love the ambience, especially the small auditorium with the glass roof. Also a very nice interior and great experience. We were greeted with a handshake and the food was also excellent. I can recommend it to everyone.

We were there last Saturday. Food: The food was good, but not exceptional. I had a starter plate for €15 and had to pay extra for the bread. In the end it was €18.50 for 3 creams, a piece of pepper and a bit of seafood (just small rings with carrot) with bread. The main ingredient was the creams. We were very surprised that there was no bread included. All of this was out of proportion for the price. Above all, the menu said “highly recommended”. I wanted more variation and got much better starter plates from other Greeks. Not a great experience, rather disappointing. The mango spritzer I ordered was colored water and had nothing to do with a spritzer. Ambiance: We sat outside. The atmosphere outside is quite simple and loveless. Tables lined up in the pedestrian zone. The interior is much nicer. Service: Super nice service. Nothing to complain about. We got Ouzo very late, only after hours of paying.

A very nice Greek restaurant with a pleasant backyard atmosphere. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious, on the table quickly and filled you up. The lunch menu was reasonably priced. PS: If you like large salt and pepper shakers, you will be happy here. 😊👍

Actually I would give it 5 stars. The food was far too small for the price. Taramosalata had no taste at all, I would have had to chew on cotton wool. The bread for the taramosalata was charged extra at 3.30 euros. Despite a complaint, the taramosalata and bread were charged. No bread was served with the food for the others at the table. The next time we are in Ingolstadt we won't stop there again.

We went for dinner in February '24. The food is very delicious and have a good portion. The prices are a bit high but okay for this quality. The employees were very friendly, but unfortunately a bit overwhelmed. We had to wait a long time for the second drinks (even had to reorder because they forgot). We can still recommend the restaurant (be sure to reserve in advance!).

Restaurant "Poseidon" won my heart. The food is fresh and very tasty, the staff is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable with great music. Today, with my family, I celebrated my birthday. We were all very pleased. I highly recommend it to everyone.
