Restaurant Porta in Zwickau

Since I needed something quick today, I visited the restaurant in the Porta again and was completely satisfied around 1 p.m. As it's self-service, after a short wait due to the large number of customers, I was served and paid by friendly staff. The curry sauce tasted like curry, and the fries were delicious and well-salted – all in all, a delightful experience with a lovely view from the window seat!

Too few staff for too many guests. Wait times of 20 minutes or more on special days. The price/performance ratio is OK. Unfortunately, it's a typical restaurant for seniors: lukewarm and underseasoned.

I chose schnitzel with egg and fries and asked if I could have fried potatoes. That costs an additional €2, though. The fried potatoes (see photo) had probably been in the pan for two or three days. Some of them were black and rubbery, lukewarm, and very disgusting. The same thing happened to my wife. She had fish, and instead of potato salad, she had the fried potatoes described above, and another €2 extra.

From what I can see, the preparation is very good. Unfortunately, the potatoes (very watery) and the pasta sauce (tastes like it came from a Knorr jar) aren't very tasty. The prices are high, though. Unfortunately, it's not for me. The service and atmosphere are very good, friendly, and appealing.

Waren zum Mittagessen im Rahmen des Einkaufs hier, die Käsespätzle waren eine totale Enttäuschung, trockene Spätzle mit Rostzwiebeln drauf, Vorsicht Erstickungsgefahr. Der Koch sollte sich mal in Bayern beraten lassen oder einen Kurs belegen, wie Käsespätzle zubereitet werden. Dafür soll man 8,90 Euro bezahlen, von Käse war keine Spur zu sehen.

The staff was very friendly and the food was very good and tasty. I highly recommend it.

Sehr geehrtes Team des Restaurants von Porta Zwickau, Am letzten Freitag waren wir zum Mittagessen bei Euch und waren von Euch sehr begeistert. Schon das gesamte Restaurant sauber, übersichtlich, freundlich, hell und ansprechend. Das Personal sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und sofort bereit unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Uns wurde ein sehr gutes Essen serviert. Wir waren davon sehr begeistert und werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Danke, danke Ihr könnt stolz auf Euch sein. Wir empfehlen Euch bestimmt weiter. Der gesamte Teller wurde mit einer schlecht schmeckenden Soße zugeschüttet. Kaum Fleisch zu sehen. Nachdem wir dieses bemängelten, wurde die Dame pampig. Nie wieder hingehen!!!

Porta Restaurant – a good restaurant located in a furniture store. We enjoyed very tasty, freshly prepared food. The prices are relatively low. You can also pay with a mobile credit card. Parking is free.

Porta Restaurant – ein gutes Restaurant im Möbelgeschäft. Wir haben sehr leckere und frisch zubereitetes Essen gegessen. Die Preise sind relativ niedrig. Man konnte auch mit Handykreditkarte bezahlen. Der Parkplatz ist kostenlos.
