Very nice terrace. The food and the chef are truly excellent. There's a dedicated playground for children, including an electric carousel.

Very delicious Greek food. Seven of us were there, and everyone loved the food. The owner and the waitress were very friendly. Of course, they also included ouzo on the house. I'll definitely be back.

We were seated outside. Upon arrival, we were initially ignored. The chairs were very uncomfortable. After the first delivery, no one asked for drinks. The food was very good. It was very busy, but then you have to ensure there are enough service staff.

So far, that was fine, but when we tried to pay by card, it was declined, and since none of our group had any cash, one of us had to go to the ATM downtown. This is no longer customer-friendly these days.

Gyros topped with Metaxa sauce, the meat was a bit fatty but overall delicious.

We were there again on Easter Saturday with seven people. As always, the food was delicious and the service was friendly. The owner is always up for a laugh. Unfortunately, several times we were only able to pay in cash. Luckily, we had enough cash with us. These days, it should be technically possible to pay by card. We're always happy to come back.

Today we finally went to Platon again for our 42nd wedding anniversary! We've been there many times, whether with our small or large family. We were always very satisfied and the food was always really good! Everything was fresh and not overly seasoned! Tasted amazing! We'd go back anytime!

We were guests here for the first time today and I have to say that I can report very positively about the evening. Starting with the very friendly and motivated staff. (something you rarely find anymore. Until dinner. Everything was perfect and very tasty. As a starter I recommend the Tamaras.

Lieferando - order November 4th, 2024 I called the restaurant because the delivery time was stated as 8:33 p.m. in the confirmation email, even though the offer said a delivery time of 20 - 35 minutes. I ordered at 7:15 p.m. The gentleman from Plato explained to me that it would take 2 x 35 minutes, each for preparation and delivery. I took note of this and hung up, somewhat speechless but politely. The order was then canceled by Plato without comment. Impossible !!! The tip was not refunded. 🤣🤣🤣 Very funny. 👌

Absolute impudence!!! We have actually been guests there several times, but after today it was definitely the very last time! When paying our bills (we were there with several people and wanted to pay separately - whatever else) a drink was bong on one bill that was not consumed by the people who received this bill. A small mistake that can happen. We then asked one of the restaurateurs (apparently in a managerial position) about it. The answer: “Yes, that was just left over and someone has to pay for it!”. A discussion then ensued in front of the entire clientele. The restaurateur became loud and instead of looking for a solution and simply gathering our group together again and checking the bills, the difference was handed to us and we were shouted out with the words “I never want to see you here again.” In his speech, the gentleman pointed out that this approach was standard in the catering industry - he had been working in the industry in question for so many years. I also worked in the catering industry for several years and this approach with “leftover items on a table bill” is not standard. And you certainly shouldn't approach paying customers to this extent. Really an absolute disgrace. But they seem to have enough other paying customers that they don't have to rely on us.

Order via Lieferando. Informed by telephone that the stated and confirmed delivery time cannot be met. Not willing to give a firm time. A lot of blah blah, it's the app's fault, it's the customer's fault. Conversation would get louder and louder. The person on the other end of the phone ended up yelling and canceling the order. The order was noted on the credit card and has not been released again even after more than two hours.

Ich werde dieses Lokal nie mehr betreten!!!Wir (10) Stammkunden des Hauses wollten am 10.07.24 einen geselligen Abend verbringen. Alle bekamen ihr Essen, nur meine Nachbarin nicht. Auf Nachfrage sagte der Kellner, dass es gleich kommt. Wieder warten! Da meine Bekannte das gleiche bestellt hatte wie ich, habe ich ihr die Hälfte meiner Portion abgegeben. Dann haben wir dem Kellner gesagt, dass er das Essen nicht mehr bringen möchte. Er sagte, es ist aber schon fertig. Brachte es zum Tisch und meine Bekannte sagte, dass sie es nicht mehr möchte. Ein paar Minuten später kam der Kellner zum Tisch und fing an uns lautstark zu beschimpfen und das er den Chef zurückhalten musste, da er sonst ausgerastet wäre. Alle Gäste verstummten und er sagte, dass wir beide von seinem Chef Lokalverbot hätten und der Chef das Essen in den Müll geworfen hätte.Ein unverschämtes Verhalten uns gegenüber! So etwas habe ich in 62 Jahren noch nicht erlebt! Untere Schiene und von der Kunde ist König ganz weit entfernt. Jedoch war es nicht das erste Mal, dass wir mit diesem Kellner einen Disput hatten. Unverschämt, Respektlos und Ohne Worte!

Food ok, but nothing more. Unfortunately very unfriendly for children!! As paying guests, we were treated very unfriendly by the owner (?) because we had two small children with us and of course they didn't want to sit at the table the whole time. At least our waiter (with long hair) was friendly. Absolutely not recommended with children.

Very cozy beer garden, disadvantage: the toilets can only be reached if you leave the beer garden and walk along the sidewalk into the main building. Otherwise, the friendliness of the staff is convincing.

Quantity instead of class. Not enough dishes with sazikki. If you order sazikki extra, everything is way too much. Gyros not crispy, liver too thick. Prices and staff ok.

We went to Restaurant Platon for the first time today. We really liked the interior design and the seating was comfortable. Three generations of us ate there and everyone enjoyed it very much. There is a very good selection, the staff were very friendly and the food came very quickly. We will definitely eat here again when we are in MG.

Visually, there is a world of difference between the “old” restaurant and the new one. It's really beautiful, modern and inviting! The menu is clear and well designed and there is an additional smaller menu with recommendations/daily specials. The tzatziki is very tasty! I wouldn't order the grape leaves as a starter again because to me they tasted like the finished ones from the can that were just warmed up. The main courses were all very tasty and the portions were definitely sufficient and very good. For the calamari, I would prefer a flat plate because it would be easier to eat and personally, half of the fries would have been enough for me. And my dish was €1 more expensive on the bill than on the menu. At the end there was an ouzo on the house.

We (4 people) went to Restaurant Platon for the first time last night. As soon as we entered, we were pleasantly surprised by the modern, friendly design of the guest room. Nice, young atmosphere and a type of seating that I have never seen in a restaurant. The service was friendly; The food was served hot and tasted excellent. The price level is absolutely fair and socially acceptable. Conclusion: The store is great and I would recommend it to everyone. 5 Stars.

We were guests here with a larger group from the sports club. Unfortunately, one of our guests was misunderstood and was thrown out of the restaurant, shouted at and treated disrespectfully in front of the assembled customers. None of us liked that. Regardless of what the subject of the dispute was, I can't imagine that it would make a good impression on the customers or the managing director. Unfortunately disappointing. The food was fresh and well prepared and the ambience was fine, but you shouldn't linger here because the furniture doesn't seem inviting. We thought the bowling alley was great and that there was a private place there.

It's a shame to behave like a shepherd. I won't go there again. If you have a small child don't go there because I had a very unpleasant experience. Although the child was not noisy or bothering anyone, the shepherd who thinks he has become the boss and thinks that someone puts up with his whims, only he did not tell me to take him out because he is waiting for many customers and there are no waiters. I am not the type of person to look for something wrong but does not take things to extremes. So I preferred to leave.

Dear Platon team, I had dinner with my family today and I'm really glad that the restaurant was recommended to me. The food was great and the portions are really sufficient. Top service and great restaurant.

We reserved a table at this place long before we went in. We went in and the staff changed color when they saw we had a 3 month old baby (during the short stay the baby didn't cry for a second), the owner lost it, I started yelling at us to get the stroller from one place to another, and basically threw us out. This is the worst attitude I have seen in my entire four decade life, so much hate and disrespect that I have never seen anywhere, not even towards the worst places on this planet and I have been to 75 countries! You are ashamed of them. So if you have a child, you have been warned.

The only thing that is Platonic here is the tzatziki. There isn't one. If you think you're getting a bargain thanks to included salads, you're falling for a trick that's otherwise only seen in the Odyssey. Or from Condor. Anyway, do I still recommend this Greek? Absolutely, with a resounding yes.

We immediately felt at home! Unfortunately we sat in the back area (our own choice) until we noticed that there was a bowling alley there. A bit annoying but the food made up for it. Compliments to the kitchen! The salad is amazing!!! So delicious! Also the baked potato, finally not just garlic. The gyros in Metaxa sauce were also very tasty! The hospitality was very pleasant and you felt like a welcome guest.

Heute mit der Abendschule da gewesen. Absolut positiv überrascht. Dort bekommt man noch was für sein Geld, die Gläser sind randvoll die Teller sind voll und es schmeckt dazu auch noch sehr lecker. Trotz der hohen Anzahl an Personen, die wir waren mussten wir nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Service war - geht so - man musste lange warten oder es wurde etwas verwechselt - obwohl es nicht voll war im Restaurant. Die Einrichtung des Restaurants sehr schön und modern - sauber und gepflegt. Speisen ok . Begeisterung wäre anders formuliert worden.

Das Essen war lecker und wurde schnell serviert. Der Kellner war aufmerksam und höflich. Das Ambiente war der Jahreszeit angepasst und dekorativ geschmückt. Hunde erlaubt!

Selten so gutes Essen geliefert bekommen. Die Delphi Platte für 2 hätte auch locker für 3 gereicht. Das Fleisch war durchweg hervorragend gegrillt und sehr, sehr lecker. Die Pommes waren heiß und knusprig und der Bauernsalat war ebenfalls sehr köstlich. Uns hatte Tzatziki gefehlt, der bei der Platte aber auch nicht mit angeboten wird. Hatten wir leider erst nachher gesehen. Für unsere nächste Bestellung oder Besuch vor Ort, wissen wir es ja jetzt. Vielen Dank für dieses köstliche Essen 🫶

Flott geliefert, gute Qualität und gute Preise. Griechischer Bauernsalat, mit Oliven mit Kernen, Feta, einer ordentlicher Portion Zwiebeln und Gurke&Tomate. Leckeres gut gewürztes Gyros und milde Leber, ein saftiger Schweinefleisch Spieß und die Bulette war auch klasse, die zwei kleinen Schnitzelchen waren okay. Absolut tolles Essen für einen sehr fairen Preis. Wir sind glücklich und mehr als satt geworden... wirklich zu empfehlen.

Wir haben schon häufig dort bestellt zum liefern. Preis Leistung stimmt absolut. Das Essen wird immer sehr schnell und vor allem frisch geliefert. Einmalig mussten wir die Bestellung dort abholen, da nicht genügend Personal da war. Wir haben für mehr als 60€ bestellt und wurden am Telefon nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass man aktuell nicht mit Karte zahlen kann. Zum Glück hatte ich genug Bargeld dabei. Bei der nächsten Bestellung werden wir definitiv fragen ;)

Hallo miteinander, wir waren zu einem gemütlichen Essen eingeladen. Ein Freund hatte uns eingeladen. Der erste Eindruck war sehr gut. Nettes Ambiente, nette Leute etc. Dann kam es zur Bestellung. Acht Personen am Tisch, jeder hat sein Essen bestellt. Meine Frau und ich jeweils einen Gyrossalat. Nach einer Weile kam dann die Vorspeise...bis dahin alles gut. Mit dem Hauptgang kamen die Salate und ich wunderte mich, dass ein Salat zum Salat kam. Die Antwort zu meiner Äußerung war "ich/wir hätten schließlich jeweils eine Gyrosplatte bestellt". Ich meinte dann, dass wir im Notfall auch diese essen würden. Man brachte also die Gyrosplatte mit so einer widerlichen Selbstverständlichkeit, hier friss und stirb. Daraufhin habe ich mich mit meiner Frau dazu entschieden es nicht zu essen, weil es so nicht bestellt war und die Bedienung (anscheinend der Besitzer) sowas von laut und mit breiter Brust in seinem Lokal verkündet hat, dass er es schließlich so aufgeschrieben hat und das was er aufschreibe wohl immer richtig ist! Obwohl mehrere Gäste am Tisch versucht haben ihn vom Gegenteil zu überzeugen. Hat leider nicht funktioniert! Nach ca. fünf Minuten wurde die Gyrosplatte abgeräumt. Mein Kollege, der Gasgeber ist zur Theke um den Sachverhalt zu klären. Er wollte das Essen was falsch serviert wurde bezahlen und etwas anderes bestellen (Gyrossalat). Auf diesen Vorschlag reagierte der Besitzer mit dem Hinweis, dass er das Essen wegschmeiße und uns nichts mehr servieren würde. Wir waren alle schockiert! Ich bin jetzt 56 Jahre, in Rheydt geboren und habe schon überall in Mönchengladbach gegessen. Das was ich an dem Abend erlebt habe, habe ich noch nie erlebt. Ich habe auch noch nie eine Rezension geschrieben aber das kann man einfach nicht auf sich sitzen lassen! Das kenne ich anders! Nie wieder! Also wo soll ich anfangen ? Der Service Kellner war unbeschreiblich gut und zuvorkommend. Schnell und super gastfreundlich Not 1A++++. Essen war sehr lecker , Ambiente war gut . Hätte ich niemals gedacht wenn man das Restaurant von draußen sieht . Der Service war erstklassig. Kaum hatte man sein Getränk aus kam direkt ein Kellner und fragte ob man ein neues möchte und auch zwischendurch gefragt ob alles ok ist , genauso muss es sein . Weiterempfehlung : 5 von 5 Sterne . Preis Leistung 5 von 5 Sterne . Service 5 von 5 Sterne . Ich bin gastronomisch sehr kritisch aber hier bin ich positiv überrascht .

Das wichtigste zuerst: es war sehr lecker! Was auch nicht unwichtig ist, der Service war toll. Aufmerksam, höflich und fix. Super nett! Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Also...das Essen ist einfach unglaublich gut. Der Service war dieses Mal nicht so gut. Lag aber daran, dass drei Personen über 80 Gäste bewirten mussten plus Kegelbahn. Daher ist das mehr als zu entschuldigen, sollte aber trotzdem erwähnt werden. Das Ambiente im Biergarten ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Urig halt...

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Der Service klappte super und war sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist sowohl klassisch griechisch als auch modern mit Tagesgerichten nach Saison und frischem Fisch in einer schmackhaften Bowl angerichtet mit leckerem Salat in tollem Dressing. Alle waren zufrieden mit dem Essen und wir hatten einen schönen Abend dort.

Sehr gutes griechisches Restaurant. Sehr nettes Personal. Toller Service. Bin öfter da zum Essen. Wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Hatte beim letzten Besuch Lam gegessen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Alles in allem ordentlich. Beim Essen hatte ich eine Reklamation, die aber schnell entgegen genommen wurde und auch vernünftig bearbeitet. Beilage zum Hauptgericht hat leider gefehlt aber da ich satt war habe ich es nicht reklamiert. Auf den Hinweis, dass das Toilettenpapier leer war, wurde leider nicht reagiert. Bedienung schnell und freundlich, Preise angemessen.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Dort kann man ohne Probleme auch Kinder mit hinnehmen, da es im Biergarten auch eine kleine Ecke mit Rutsche und Minikettenkarussell gibt. Das Essen war hervorragend. Der Service war leider nicht so gut. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass das Personal es eilig hatte weg vom Kunden zu kommen. Aber vielleicht hatten sie auch nur einen schlechten Tag. Ich werde es auf jeden Fall noch mal besuchen.

Dieses Mal zum Teil ungenießbar. Die Leber war steinhart/ungenießbar. Beim letzten Mal war sie perfekt. Der Spieß eher gekocht als gegrillt. Steinhart. Die Pommes schmecken wie aufgewärmt. Schade!
