The food was cold, dry and without any spices, the service was sometimes unfriendly, and side dishes were forgotten. Very unfortunate.

Unfortunately, the red wine was quite warm and the food was unfortunately incomplete and also cold. A little salt and pepper were also missing and when we asked for salt and pepper, we were annoyed and brought the standard table set of small salt, pepper and oil. The delivery of the missing food took a very long time. But the atmosphere was great.

Everything was very good and tasty.

It took 1 hour until we got the food. The food was very poor quality and expensive. 1x bitter lemon, 1x saganaki (for 2), 1x wanna be Greek salad (for 2) and 1x souvlaki with fries for 1 person 40 euros. Just ashamed for them.

When the weather was good, four of us sat in the rustic beer garden. I had recommended this restaurant that the rest of the people didn't know. 2 starters were ordered, only one of which was served. Garlic bread with tomatoes, better known as bruscetta. Unroasted bread was floating in the tomato dip, completely soggy, making it almost impossible to eat. My friend's grilled minced meat was completely burnt on the bottom.

Very nice Greek restaurant with a great beer garden with old plane trees, children's playground in a Mediterranean atmosphere. Just Greek. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The boss welcomes every guest and always finds time to have a little chat. The food… 1. Lamb chops with alternative to normal rice, then krytaraki (rice noodles)! The chops were well seasoned, hot and still very juicy. 2. Bifteki with Metaxa sauce, fries and salad! The bifteki was very tasty, juicy and well seasoned! Very large portion, so we took half home with us.

The three of us were there on Saturday and ate in the beautiful beer garden. The staff was consistently friendly, we enjoyed the food and it was plentiful.

I can only say this is the best restaurant, I am very, very satisfied and can only recommend it

We sat outside at a fountain that was full of dirt. Ordered souvlaki. The lettuce was mostly wilted and drowned in a horrible sauce. 2 souvlaki skewers were carelessly slammed onto the plate with the fries. One set was completely missing. At least the wine and Qctopus of my companion were okay. Unfortunately, a visit is no longer an option for me.

Best food I've ever had. The head waiter was a lovely, nice guy who welcomed us very politely. He served us the food, which was really tasty. It was served quickly. The chef prepared the food really well. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone. I would recommend it to everyone time to come back

Wir sind seit über 35 Jahren immer wieder mal Gast im Lukullus welches mit Herzblut von Fotios Kostakopulos und seiner Familie geführt wird..Essen lecker...Preise in Ordnung und Familie und auch Angestellte super nett durch alle Jahrzehnte...unser absolutes Lieblings Restaurant mit neuem Wintergarten und großem Biergarten...ICH kann die Negativ Bewertungen hier ABSOLUT NICHT VERSTEHEN ! !

Very good atmosphere. The service was excellent, there were never empty drinks. I personally liked the gyros, but my girlfriend didn't like the chicken fillet so much. (As we all know, tastes are different) Otherwise the visit was great and I can only recommend it.

I like eating here. It tastes good, the price is ok. The service staff is sometimes overwhelmed when the store is full, so a drink is often forgotten or brought late. The outdoor area is beautifully designed and children also get their money's worth.

First and last visit. Pretty beer garden, average food, terrible service. The welcome was extremely unfriendly; when we were told that the cushions on our bench were wet, we were given a single napkin. The side salad and starter were served at the same time. When I tried to eat the salad, the salad plate was taken away from me on the grounds that the starter should be eaten first. As a guest, I would like to decide for myself what I eat and when. The tzatziki for the gyro plate was missing; after we pointed this out, it was charged in full. There was no way to reorder drinks because none of the three waiters responded to waves or eye contact. We ended up waiting half an hour for the bill. It was the first time I didn't tip at a restaurant.

Food and atmosphère ok (not great but average) but personnel incredibly rude. They basically ruin the experience…

Cozy restaurant with a large, partially covered beer garden run by the Kostakopoulos family with a large selection of delicious Greek dishes. There is currently an out-of-house menu. Food is delivered to order within the city area. Pick-up and motorhome dinner is also possible... Our absolute Favorite in Mönchengladbach

Great evening at Lukullus! I come from Munich and know some Greeks there, friends from Viersen took me to Lukullus. Excellent meal, complete selection of starters plus leg of lamb - all very good. Spontaneously went there after a bike ride and strengthened ourselves there. Very busy on the holiday, but still got a table straight away. Service was ok, the food came promptly, despite the crowds. All in all recommended.

Today we had dinner in a restaurant with friends. The food was good, the waiters were very friendly, except for one waiter with a beard who came to collect from us and was very unfriendly. I've never seen anyone like that. He ruined our lovely evening.

The food is okay so far, but is marred by the bad mood of a particular waiter. Everyone has a bad day sometimes, no question about it. Unfortunately, every time we visited a restaurant, the mood of the waiter in question meant that we as guests neither felt welcome nor comfortable. In the future we will stop somewhere else.

I thought about writing a review, I actually won't do that, but I've never experienced anything like this before. There were three of us there on Sunday. First of all, I gave one star because it's not possible not to give one. Apart from the side salads, our meal as a whole was a disgrace for the money. We had a turkey dish that was very dry and stringy, gyros and souvlaki, the meat was fatty, tasteless and some of it wasn't fried well, the tzatziki didn't taste good either, just curd yoghurt and some cucumber without any taste, so the starters we ordered weren't even served, It was the best thing that could have happened to us, who knows we probably would have been even more annoyed. Nobody was interested in our complaint; the waitress accepted it in a friendly manner and wanted to pass it on. We paid for everything without a proper apology or even a word about it and, unlike other guests, the receipt was simply placed on the table without a word or eye contact (this older waiter or the boss, I don't know, was the unfriendly, most arrogant one ever) and we were forced to just put the money on the table, unbelievable. We felt like second class guests there. Apparently it's not that important. Others were greeted more effusively and were also offered an ouzo. Well, normally we would have ordered it too, but for previous reasons we preferred to drink it at home. We all had stomach problems all day and will never visit this place again.

The restaurant "Lukullus" is a pleasant discovery for lovers of Greek cuisine. The atmosphere is simple and inviting, without any excessive frills. The food is delicious, I particularly enjoyed the Acropolis grill platter. With a selection of tender meat, fries and delicious tzatziki, it is a real culinary delight. The homemade bread completes the taste experience. The service is friendly and not intrusive. The "Lukullus" restaurant offers a pleasant environment to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine.

Since the next generation took over the scepter, a lot of things have been renovated at Lukullus. The ambience is modern, timeless, the food is very appetizing and tastes great. The service is friendly and fast, you feel very comfortable. The price/performance ratio is okay. All in all, a thoroughly successful evening. We'd love to come back.

Ordered there for the first time via Uber eats. Gyros dish with salad, first visual and taste impression positive. Unfortunately the night after eating it was hell, massive diarrhea, where in the chain the problem was, I have no idea, I personally wouldn't try it again.

We eat there at least once a month with 4 people or more and, as always, it is a great atmosphere! Great food and great service. Thank you!

Under the previous boss Foti it was still the BEST Greek in the whole area. Price/performance was right, you could vary the composition of the dishes and you felt like a family guest. Now under the management of the sons, the shop is in decline. Arogance, the long-established staff is no longer as open-minded as they used to be, you just feel like a paying consumer. If you would like a small extra side dish with a dish, you will receive a complete portion at full charge. This was known differently as a small bonus for a small, reasonable additional charge. Now you no longer feel accepted and ripped off. Foti should give his sons a good heads up so that they don't run down the work he's built up.

Greek with tradition, pride and a real family business! even if prices continue to rise and portions become smaller. Sitting in this beautiful Greek garden in summer is a real dream. Surrounded by forest and trees and a light wind, you have the feeling of being in Crete or Rhodes.

Were here on Boxing Day, unfortunately there was only a limited menu, which could have been mentioned when making the reservation. The staff was helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was right, the outdoor area was very nice. The food was good and we were all more than full. Price performance was ok

The food tasted really good, although the prices are tasteless. Individual dishes are 100% more expensive than 3 years ago! Andreas, the waiter, was probably having a bad day again. You can't be more snotty towards your guests, so even the free ouzo is of no use. Actually, I should look for another Greek place, if only it weren't for the beautiful beer garden...

Until now, the restaurant was everyone's favorite Greek restaurant, but the quality has declined. The price-performance ratio no longer fits. There used to be great grilled flatbread, but now it's been dry ciabatta for years and the tzatziki have recently changed and are no longer as creamy as they used to be... What a shame

Wir waren am 16.12. mit der Firma dort. Das Essen war handwerklich gut gemacht und lecker, jedoch leider zu kalt. :( Kalt ist auch das Stichwort, wenn es um den Anbau/Wintergarten geht. Trotz vollem Lokal gelang es nicht so recht, da ein bisschen Wärme reinzubekommen. Ansonsten war es ein schöner Abend.

Seit Jahren gehen wir dorthin und nehmen fast immer das gleiche. Wir lieben dieses Restaurant und haben jedoch leider festgestellt, dass die Portionen immer kleiner werden und (wegen der Inflation) auch teurer werden. Nichtsdestotrotz gehen wir trotzdem noch gerne dorthin, da es der beste Grieche in der Umgebung ist.

Auf Silvester eingeschränkte Karte, worauf beim Buchen im Internet kein Hinweis drauf hindeutete. Max. 6 Hauptgerichte, viel zu wenig u schlechte Auswahl. Vorspeise dicke Bohnen mit Feta überbacken. Da war weder was überbacken noch gewürzt. War fast kalt. Ebenso beim Gyros Teller. Fleisch u Reis lauwarm, nur Pommes heiß. Service, Getränke und Ambiente waren top. Wir kommen vorerst aber nicht wieder.

Medium Rumpsteak ist auf englischer Art 😂 dazu kommt noch das wir nach ner Stunde Bestellung dann Bescheid bekommen das es kein Gyros mehr gibt dann weiter ungelogen 1stunde 30 Minuten warten auf das Essen . Nach 2:30h Stunden kommt das Essen aber 3 Gerichte haben gefehlt. Nach der Beschwerde an den Chef selber mich gerichtet und ihm gesagt was nicht stimmt er sagt wenn ich ein Problem habe solle ich aufstehen und gehen …. Darauf sagte ich nur das es eine Beschwerde sei und er droht mit Polizei warum auch immer top Bedienung 😂 Einfach noch nie so einen ruhigen Verantwortungsvollen chef gesehen der der Vorbildlich ist :* Schon frech den ganzen Tisch auf eine Dame zu schieben top Wenn man 2h Stunden kein Essen kriegt und nur ouzo als Entschuldigung ganze Zeit kriegt ist es nicht sonderlich förderlich Menschen mit leeren mägen dann nur Alkohol zu servieren .aberhin verdiente 2 Sterne habt ihr 😂 Kellnerin entspannt und Verständnis gezeigt Chef und der Rest 0

Heute am zweiten Weihnachtstag, 5 Wochen im vorhinein bestellt und leider dieses mal so unzufrieden wie noch nie zu vor in dem Restaurant. Nach Bestellung, kommt ein Kellner 45 min später und teilt uns mit das es kein Gyros mehr gebe. Wohlgemerkt, große Gruppe mit 10+ Personen, davon 6 mit Gyros Gerichten. Sowas muss man leider gestehen im vorhinein kommunizieren. Heute leider sehr unzufrieden. Bezahlung bei Reservierung angegeben das man mit mehr als 3 Familien kommt und dann wird uns über einen Zettel mitgeteilt das es heute keine separaten Zahlungen möglich ist. Leider wirklich eine große Frechheit in diesem Restaurant, leider nicht mehr weiter zu empfehlen.

Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen waren wir mit 2 Freunden dort zum ersten Mal essen. Schilder wiesen uns zum Eingang am Wintergarten, der fast bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt war. Die Raumtemperatur war ok, aber mit der Zeit bekamen wir alle kalte Füße, da der Boden viel Kälte abstrahlte. Das Essen war ok, aber auch nichts besonderes. Was uns aber überhaupt nicht gafallen hat war das Verhalten aller Kellner. Fast alles was wir ihnen sagten mussten wir wiederholen. Wir gaben eine Getränkebestellung auf und keine 2 Minuten später kam der Kellner wieder und fragte nochmals nach. Das Selbe bei der Essensbestellung und auch bei der Frage wie wir bezahlen wollten. Die Krönung war aber, als man uns ein Getränk innerhalb von 10 Minuten zwei mal bringen wollte und ein ältere Kellner uns dann beschuldigte es falsch, also doppelt, bestellt zu haben. Wir würden aufgrund der Gesamtsituation dort nicht noch einmal essen gehen.

Bestellung mit mehreren Personen aufgegeben. Essen wurde zum Teil garnicht zum Tisch gebracht weil es vergessen wurde. 2.5 stunden Wartezeit auf das Essen. Personal schien bei vollem Haus überfordert zu sein. Vor einem Jahr war Essen, Service, Gesamtpaket deutlich besser. Sehr schade. Ich habe mich auf ein gutes Restaurant gefreut und wurde heute leider enttäuscht.

Vor und Nachspeise waren Top der Hauptgang war okay. Der Schweinespieß war muffig und nicht lecker die Teller hätten heiß sein können damit das Essen nicht so schnell kalt wird. Das Personal war, bis auf einen Kellner freundlich, dieser eine war betont unfreundlich. Das Ambiente war gut.

Vor und Nachspeise Top, Hauptgang okay. Einer der Kellner war betont unfreundlich, der Rest sehr nett. Wir waren im Wintergarten, dieser ist schön gemacht und gemütlich.

Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Personal war sehr nett, hat immer wieder nachgeschaut, ob alles in Ordnung bei uns ist.

Sehr schönes Lokal nicht das billigste die Bedienung ist sehr nett doch leider war das moussaka lauwarm. Jedoch der Reiß meiner Begleitung waren heiß und lecker. Wäre die klimaanlage an der Decke noch verkleidet wäre das Ambiente wirklich perfekt.

Hier stimmte einfach nichts. Das fing bei der Begrüßung und Bestellung an und hörte bei der überaus freundlichen Bedienung an der Kasse auf. Die Kellnerin hat uns die Karte wie einen nassen Lappen hingeknallt. Die Aussage, dass es nicht mehr als 5 Gerichte zum Essen gibt, hat uns dann noch mehr erschreckt. Naja vielleicht nur ein schlechter Tag der Bedienung. Das Essen kam und war genauso lieblos angerichtet und draufgeklatscht wie die Karte kam. Essen war ok aber es gibt bessere Restaurants wo es wenigstens halbwegs schmeckt und gewürzt ist. Wir waren nur wegen des Gutscheinheftes da und das war auch das letzte Mal. Entweder kennen die mit 5 Sternen bewerteten hier kein anderes Restaurant oder haben einfach Glück mit ihrem Personal / Essen und allem. Wir sind jedenfalls maßlos enttäuscht.

Immer wieder nett dort, wir waren Sonntag Mittags vor Ort, dss Restaurant war gut besucht, Reservierung notwendig. Das Essen war schmackhaft und reichhaltig. Zur Möglichen Verbesserung: uns haben die vier laufenden Fernseher im Wintergarten gestört auf denen Seepferdchen zu sehen waren. Dies stört das ansonsten nette Ambiente und wirkt im Kontext mit einem Restaurant deplatziert.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Man hat sich beim eintreten herzlich willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen war echt lecker und wie man es aus der Heimat kennt. Wir kommen gerne öfters.

Es herrscht ein warmes und sehr wohlfühlendes Ambiente. Der Service und das Personal sind zuvorkommend und heißen jeden herzlich Willkommen. Dies übrigens in einer Art und Weise, dass man sich auch wirklich willkommen fühlt. Das Essen hat allen geschmeckt, es gab rein gar nichts auszusetzen! Von den Vorspeisen über die Hauptgerichte bis hin zu den Desserts war alles super! Es gab eine Tageskarte mit vielen Fischgerichten, zwei davon wurden getestet und waren grandios. Das Schweinefilet und die Grillplatte waren ebenso perfekt. Ein großes Kompliment an das Ganze Personal, wir kommen gerne öfters!

Wenn man unfreundliche Bedienung erleben will dann gehe zum Lukullus in der Bungt! Das Essen war soweit ok. Allerdings machten Unaufmerksamkeit und Unfreundlichkeit des Personals einen Strich durch einen gemütlichen die schönen Abend.

Wir haben im Lukullus unseren 19. Hochzeitstag mit der Familie gefeiert. Der Service war sehr gut! Die Kellner sehr humorvoll und freundlich! Das Essen war sehr lecker, und teilweise "gut gewürzt" . Für Leute, die auf Natriumchlorid achten müssen, mit Vorsicht zu genießen... Dieses Restaurant ist wärmstens zu empfehlen! Wir kommen wieder. Lieben Dank für den schönen Tag!

Wir kommen seit mindestens 30 Jahren immer wieder und wurden noch nie enttäuscht 👍 super essen, herzliche Bedienung. An die Gäste mit schlechter Bewertung, diese sollten mal überlegen, dass immer 2 Seiten dazu gehören 😜

Essen war okay, nichts besonderes. Mir ist schleierhaft wie die ganzen herausragenden Bewertungen zu Stande kommen. Vermutlich von Stammgästen, welche vom Chef quasi umgarnt werden. Als „neuer Kunde“ wird man hier wie Luft behandelt, zumindest vom Chef. Beim bezahlen gab es für die netten Servicekräfte noch ein anständiges Trinkgeld, der Chef hat natürlich abkassiert…und die Rechnung zu zeigen hat er nicht für nötig gehalten und ein Danke für das Trinkgeld gab es auch nicht. Unmögliches Verhalten. Gibt viel bessere griechische Restaurants. Wir kommen nicht wieder und werden dieses Lokal auch niemandem empfehlen.
