We like to go to Alexander often: good Greek cuisine at fair prices, warm and attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. Absolutely recommended!

If I could give even more stars for the staff and the food, I would do that!

For me the best Greek in Mönchengladbach. We had dinner there for my birthday. Everyone was thrilled with the service, ambience and delicious food. The boss greeted us at the entrance and led us to our table. Every now and then he comes and asks if everything is OK. Some may find this disturbing, but we found it very friendly; our children had fun with it. The service is very good. Everything tasted very good, not over-seasoned or grilled to death. The gyros and liver were perfectly prepared, the moussaka was a dream. Price and performance/service are in harmony. Thank you for the lovely stay.

After many years we spent time there again bowling and eating with 11 people. Everything was great and it was nice that the old staff was still there.

There were 5 of us there and we all ordered different dishes. The dishes arrived at the same time in optimal condition. The degree of doneness of the meat was ideal, despite the different types. The side dishes were also great. We asked several times whether everything was OK or whether there was something missing from the drinks. I WAS VERY SATISFIED AND WILL DEFINITELY COME AGAIN.

A busy Greek restaurant. After a recommended appointment, the guest is welcomed by the boss himself and brought to the table. The selection of dishes is good and the service is friendly and quick. All in all, highly recommended.

Clean location, delicious food, super friendly staff, winter garden doesn't let any rain in, only the parking lot is very narrow and difficult to see! Paying with EC card possible! Otherwise totally recommended!

The food was very tasty. Only 4 stars because it would have been nicer to get a slightly larger side salad (small farmer's salad). I would have liked to have given up a few pieces of meat for this. Service was friendly and good as usual. Overall, again at any time.

The food is very tasty and both the welcome and the service are very warm.

Not to be suspected from the outside. You enter the restaurant and walk along a relatively narrow hallway past the kitchen and bar and enter a bright room. Like a winter garden with transparent walls. No walls, lots of green. The tables with plenty of space for neighbors. The pleasant ambience was enhanced by the natural friendliness of the staff. You immediately felt welcome and comfortable. After the drinks were served, the menu was presented to the three of us. So many deliciously described dishes, it's hard to choose. But each of us found our own favorite dish. The food was served after a reasonable wait. In terms of taste and craftsmanship, it's good, not a culinary masterpiece. The meat is fried to perfection. The salad was very fresh, crunchy, the dressing was a bit bland. However, that shouldn't stop us from visiting the restaurant again.

The restaurant offers everything you could expect from a classic Greek restaurant. Portions were sufficient, our meals were freshly prepared and tasted good. Service friendly and attentive. A small point of criticism was the fried onions, which unfortunately were only stewed onions. This gave us false expectations. Maybe that should be changed in the menu. Ambience was fine. Unfortunately, the chairs on the terrace are quite uncomfortable for larger people. Overall, definitely worth a visit.

Service was good, the atmosphere was nice now in summer, it was our first time there. The price/performance ratio is ok. Ouzo platter €19.50

The taste of the food has deteriorated a lot recently. The price for children's gyros with fries is €9.50 without any side dish too expensive, with mayo and ketchup 10.50! (Owner and service friendly as always)

Super friendly people, you feel like at home. Food is good, and you get a shot of ouzo from house as aperitivo. Many guests but not disturbing as the tables are wisely spread. All in all a very good experience

Gemütliches Griechisches Restaurant, große Auswahl an Speisen und netter Service.

Sehr leckere, griechische Speisen, freundliche Bedienung und nette Umgebung. Vor Weihnachten ist es dort recht voll und man tut gut daran, vorab zu reservieren, besonders dann, wenn man sich mit einer größeren Anzahl Personen treffen möchte.

Wir waren vor 4 Tagen spontan dort und waren begeistert! Was für ein herzlicher Empfang! Betreiber und alle Mitarbeiter unglaublich lieb, aufmerksam......ach ja, und das Essen war natürlich auch sehr sehr lecker! Dazu ein schöner Ouzo, griechische Musik im Hintergrund..... Wir werden wiederkommen! 😊😊

Jedes Mal wenn ich mit Freunden dort essen war waren alle sehr zufrieden. Man wird zügig bedient und es wird regelmäßig gefragt ob man noch einen Getränkewusch etc hat. Draussen kann man bei gutem Wetter auch essen. Ich esse dort immer Lamm was immer sehr gut ist.

Unglaublich leckeres Essen in einem tollen Ambiente. Man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen.Alle hier sind so unglaublich freundlich .Dankeschön für einen ganz tollen Abend. Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute Abend zu Fünft mit unserem Hund zu Besuch und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war lecker und wurde sehr schnell zubereitet und gebracht. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett, kompetent und extrem auf Zack. Auch unserem Hund wurde direkt eine Schüssel Wasser gebracht. Man sitzt sehr schön im überdachten Biergarten, der günstigerweise direkt an den hauseigenen Parkplatz angebunden ist. Mehr geht fast nicht!

Essen ist wirklich vorzüglich. Die Rechnung dauert meist etwas länger.

So oft vorbei gefahren und nun endlich mal da gewesen. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und die Gastfreundlichkeit war wirklich außergewöhnlich.

Familienessen. Verschiedene Vorspeisen und Hauptgänge bestellt. Vom Grillteller bis Schnitzel mit Sauce Hollandaise alles lecker und in ordentlichen Portionen. Service top. Waren nicht zum letzten Mal da! Empfehlenswert!

Nette Gastgeber, leckeres Essen. Zur Begrüßung gibt es einen Ouzo, dann wählt man aus was das Herz begehrt. Die Gerichte sind gut kombiniert und auf Sonderwünsche wird gern eingegangen. Für einen Aufpreis kann der Beilagensalat als Bauernsalat serviert werden. Toll!

Wir waren zum wiederholten Male zu Gast im Lokal. Wie gewohnt war das Essen sehr lecker, die Bedienung ausgesprochen freundlich. Es war ein sehr angenehmer Abend. Tipp: Unbedingt vorher reservieren, da immer sehr gut besucht.

Netter Empfang, freundliches, schnelles Personal, Essen gut, leider ist für Vegetarier nur Salat auf der Karte zu finden. Ouzo gibt es immer vor dem Essen, Personal sehr aufmerksam. Essen für alle gleichzeitig serviert. Danke.

Wir haben einen schönen Abend hier verbracht. Freundlicher Empfang bei dem alle Corona Papiere überprüft wurden. Wir saßen mit ausreichend Abstand zu anderen Gästen und wurden gleich mit Getränken versorgt. Das Essen wurde für alle 4 Personen zeitgleich an den Tisch gebracht und war nicht nur schmackhaft sondern auch großzügig portioniert. Wir waren von der Rechnung angenehm überrascht, sehr günstig. Wir werden gerne wieder hier speisen.

Ich bin von dem Restaurant absolut enttäuscht. Während der Corona Zeit haben die Kellner hier keine Maske getragen. Abgesehen davon, dass auf der Karte nicht ein einziges vegetarisches Gericht steht, war das Essen auch qualitativ schrecklich. Der Salat besteht nur aus Dosengemüse. Die Fleischgerichte werden mit vielen Zwiebeln bestückt damit das alte Fleisch nicht auffällt. Ich konnte meinen Salat nicht aufessen und habe trotzdem nach dem Besuch hier eine Magen Darm Grippe bekommen. Genauso wie meine Angehörigen. Auf Grund der hygienischen Zustände können wir von einem Besuch hier nur stark abraten.
