Restaurant - Pizzeria - Italienische Küche - SARAY 2 am Schlossplatz Ottweiler in Ottweiler

Last Sunday, I pre-ordered two pizzas through their online portal. The pizzas were fresh out of the oven when I arrived. I also received a very friendly welcome, even though it was probably quite busy due to the high volume of orders. The restaurant has an open kitchen, so you can immediately see how clean everything is and that it's freshly prepared. As I'm a passionate pizza baker myself, I can also say that this is by far the best pizza in the area. The dough was thin, typical for Neapolitan pizzas, yet fluffy and appears to be expertly made from scratch. My tip: "Real" pizzas get cold quickly thanks to the thin crust, so if you're ordering from further away during peak hours, you might want to consider eating in or picking up your pizza yourself. My mother and I thought it was fantastic. We'll definitely order again :)

One hour after the delivery time (via Lieferando), the yufka and pizza arrived ice cold. They could have at least called ahead to say it would take longer and they needed to remake the food. Now we're enjoying cold pizza and yufka for €30!

The pizza is absolutely delicious, even the crust is amazing! 😊 The owner puts a lot of effort into every dish, and everything is prepared with love, which you can really taste. The delicious spicy cocktail sauce they offered us to try was also fantastic! 🤤 I highly recommend this restaurant! 🙂 We'll definitely be back.

We spontaneously decided to eat at Saray Pizza today. I had a Classico. It was absolutely delicious!!! Baked in a stone oven. Freshly prepared with love. The dough was very tasty. I even ate the crust, even though I don't usually like it. All in all, a super friendly owner. Very nice. Great food. Definitely worth a visit. We'll definitely be eating at Saray's more often now.

The food tastes really good, but when we order it always takes at least 1.5 hours and often over 2 hours.

Food was ordered at 9:27 PM, but wasn't delivered until 11:20 PM. In the meantime, no one responded to our calls, despite repeated attempts to reach the store. The food was ultimately rejected because we had ordered elsewhere in the meantime. Such poor service is unacceptable.

I didn't order anything, and yet they rang the bell twice with two different drivers, EVEN THOUGH I specifically said a child was sleeping!! The name on the order was "Müller," and that was DEFINITELY not the name on our doorbell!! SUNDAY AT 9:30 PM?!! When I called, they said, "What else do you want?" and then hung up. That's why I echoed ;) Also, I haven't ordered anything from Saray in ages, because the bottom of the pizza was always pitch black.

Worst kebab I've ever eaten. The kebab sauce tasted like sour cream, and they charged €3 for more meat. But then, it was Thursday, Kebab Day, and I paid €10 for a large kebab with more meat. It's a joke. If only it had tasted better! The kebab bread looked and tasted like a soft double pretzel. So, definitely out of the question for us!!!!!!

Brown, dried-out vegetables In my opinion, the food being sold here has been sitting on the counter for a while. Why do I come to this conclusion? The cut edges of the lettuce were brown, the tomatoes were dried out, and the carrots had lost a lot of moisture (dry and brown spots). Would the restaurateur also serve such food to his private guests at home? I can hardly imagine it. So why is it being sold? I hope this criticism wakes people up and causes them to rethink things. This review is my own honest opinion.

Last order. Diarrhea, stomach cramps, and three days off sick.

Today was my last order from Saray Ottweiler. As usual, I pre-ordered well in advance because in the past there were often problems with delivery times. It was never a matter of a few minutes, but rather hours! I pre-ordered around 4/4:30 p.m., and about 30 minutes later I received an email from Saray saying the order had been canceled. I thought maybe they were on vacation, so I ordered from another provider. Around 6 p.m., a Saray employee called to say my food was ready and would be delivered. I explained the situation, pointed out their problem with the order, and that I obviously didn't need the food anymore. Issue resolved, I thought... Not even a minute later, the owner contacted me personally and tried to convince me to take the food after all. I explained the problem again, to no avail. He then emphasized twice that I never get my delivery, not to mention the tone of voice. I've never experienced such rude management before; simply unfriendly and incompetent. It's a shame. I've ordered pizza several times in the past, and they were always good, and most of the employees were very friendly. I'm curious to see when I'll get my money back via PayPal.

We ordered a doner pizza and were very satisfied. The taste was excellent and the delivery time was excellent (about 30-40 minutes to Sankt Wendel on a holiday).

So I ordered pizza, which is always the same everywhere, but here it's different, and there's really little topping on the pizza, more cheese than salami and/or other sausage. Not recommended

NEVER AGAIN!!!! I got a doner pizza from Saray in Ottweiler on Friday. I could already tell while eating that something was wrong. (That's why I only ate two slices.) Shortly afterward, I felt sick. Unfortunately, I got really bad food poisoning. I'll NEVER order from there again!!!!

I didn't enjoy the food as much as I did at other Italian restaurants. Both the pizza and the doner kebab were delicious. The doner kebab was also very small. Unfortunately, the staff is a bit slow on the uptake and doesn't recognize mistakes. The drivers drive very dangerously, based on their own behavior. Avoid this place!

So what was sold today is absolutely disgusting.. from small kebab to Yufka to this (large kebab plate) is a disgrace. When it arrived home I never would have thought it was from Saray. It's unbelievable how little heart it was prepared with and I don't want to comment on the price performance in this case.

Went to Saray Essen again today for a long time and it was great as usual. The food was very tasty, the shop was nice and clean and the new atmosphere was very appealing. Prices are okay for what you get. You could tell that the boss was happy to see us again and despite the busyness, he took time for a quick chat. 😊

Very friendly staff, clean and nicely decorated ambiance, and the food was quick. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the doner kebab plate was delicious. We'll be going there again. 👍💯

We ordered two pizzas, each with an additional topping. Unfortunately this was forgotten on one pizza. The pizza itself was so soggy you could eat it with a spoon. Unfortunately not recommended.

Today we have been ordering from Saray for a long time via Lieferando. Everything went quickly and easily. We had 2 Ordered large family pizzas and a Margherita pizza. The food arrived very quickly after 50 minutes and was absolutely delicious. Everyone was thrilled and it was a great birthday meal. Gladly again! 5 stars keep it up dear Saray team!

The food is just, well, the salad is often not fresh, the meat is dry and the bread is very small. For the price there is better in Ottweiler. In addition, only Girocard is accepted, which is just sad in 2025

Super nice, courteous staff, the food is very tasty. We order there often and in the meantime we also visit the restaurant spontaneously. So far we can't complain about anything. Keep it up you are a top team and can only be recommended!!!!

The food is very good, unfortunately not 5 stars after the first wheat beer there was no more beer, there was no mineral water left, the schnitzel was a bit tough. Nevertheless, I can only recommend the restaurant.

Fantastic pizza and extremely friendly staff

Today we tried Saray 2 in Ottweiler for the first time. The service was great, very friendly and accommodating. Always kept an eye on us and always did a bit of nonsense with the children, great! But not too intrusive We were served quickly and the drinks arrived quickly, as well as a side salad. Unfortunately the plates weren't completely clean but the salad was delicious. We ate the rump steak, one normal and one crema. I personally didn't like the sauce from the crema, but that was okay. The spaghetti with it was good. The meat was medium rare as I wanted. The fried potatoes were ok, standard. Unfortunately my wife was unlucky with her piece of meat but I don't think the chefs can do anything about it, it was unfortunately very fatty and full of tendons. The meat at the next table was also good upon request. So just bad luck. She sent it back and was immediately offered a new one. However, my wife then shared the lasagne with our daughter. It was very good. There was no charge for the food that was returned, but she had hardly eaten anything. All in all it was still nice there and maybe we'll come back. I heard the pizzas are great.

The restaurant is located right in the city center of Ottweiler and is very nicely decorated. The food was delicious, although I've had better steak elsewhere. The pizza was ok, as was the salad with turkey strips, but the turkey meat was fried too dry. Overall, it was a nice stay because the service was always friendly and courteous. Dies ist nicht das erste Mal, dass ich in dieses wundervolle Restaurant komme, mit Abstand der beste Ort, das Personal ist freundlich und gesprächig, die Musik passt genauso angenehm zum Interieur, das Essen vom Chefkoch ist einfach ausgezeichnet, ich trinke auch immer einen Hier Latte mit dem charakteristischen Officint-Rezept. Ich komme immer, das Essen ist ausgezeichnet, das Ambiente und die Atmosphäre. Aber höchstens ein Mädchen, das dort arbeitet, das voller positiver Energie ist und immer lächelt. Schade aber, dass sie schüchtern ist, es wäre gut, wenn sie ein wenig mit den Gästen kommunizieren könnte.

Die Pizza und die Nudeln waren ein Genuss. Die Portionen waren sehr groß. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Die Beste Pizza weit und Breit. Auch die anderen gerichte schmecken hervorragend! Kein Vergleich zu vielen anderen Restaurants die wir in den letzten Jahren besucht haben. Die Bedingungen und der Besitzer sind total freundlich und man hat schon beim ersten Besuch das Gefühl wirklich willkommen zu sein.

Mal wieder hervorragend gegessen. Sehr schönes und gemütliches Ambiente, überragende Speisekarte, Salat, Nudel,PIZZA bis hin zum Schnitzel alles sehr köstlich. Der Service wird hier groß geschrieben!!!! Alle sind sehr nett und freundlich, wir lassen uns immer wieder gerne verwöhnen. Ein großes Lob an das perfekte Team!!!!!

Tolles Lokal, wo man auch mit Kindern gerne willkommen ist. Das Essen ist normaler Durchschnitt, für den normalen Gaumen. Man findet immer was gutes. Normale italienische Küche.

Ambiente war eher wie in einem Bistro als in einem Restaurant, keine Tischdecken, billige Plastikunterlagen, nicht mal eine Speisekarte gab es, nur ein Blatt Papier in einer Klarsichthülle. Die Tomatensoße und Bolognesesoße war versalzen, viele Gerichte gab es gar nicht mehr. Die Schweinefilets waren ganz gut. Der Service war in Ordnung, auch wenn ein Essen vergessen wurde und erst auf 2x Nachfrage kam. Ich denke da gehe ich wohl nicht mehr hin.

Mit Abstand die leckerste Pizza die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Der Kellner ist supernett und das Ambiente toll. Einziger Mangel sind die hässlichen Plastikunterlagen auf dem Tisch. Eine Tischdecke wäre viel schöner. Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen 👍👍👍

Wir haben schon mehrmals unser Essen dort bestellt und abgeholt, oder waren im Restaurant essen. Der Service ist hervorragend, auch wenn das Restaurant gut besucht ist. Die Speisen sind immer frisch und sehr lecker. Wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch.
