Wonderful location, very quiet, and we had a direct view of the sea. The pizza was excellent, and the lasagna couldn't have been better. We bought a pizza to go. Unfortunately, they only accepted cash payments. The Funghi and Tonno pizzas were good and tasty.

We had the best Italian food here in September 2025. The portions, whether pizza or pasta, are large, very tasty, appetizingly presented, and offer excellent value for money. The staff is consistently polite and friendly. The only thing that ultimately annoyed me were the smokers outside. It's a real shame that, as a person with lung disease who naturally wants to sit outside by the Baltic Sea, such delicious food is spoiled by other guests every (!) time. I didn't notice this as much in other restaurants.

We had dinner at the Da Rico restaurant. The location is fantastic—right on the promenade, just a few steps from the beach. The ambiance is modern and very harmonious. The staff was extremely friendly, and our dog was also very welcome. We both opted for pizza: freshly prepared, delicious, and highly recommended. There are, however, two minor criticisms: the drink prices are quite high (e.g., a 0.4 l Coke for €5.50), and payment is cash only. Nevertheless, a clear recommendation for anyone looking for a good Italian restaurant on Usedom!

I ordered some takeaway for home. The pasta tastes great (spaghetti Bolognese) and the portions are very generous. The price is quite reasonable for good food. I'd definitely go back.

First, the good. The ambiance is very, very good. Right by the sea, just as you'd hope. The service was okay; if there were a smile, the guests would be happy too. Now for the food: The "lasagna" was a disaster, sorry. It consisted of so much dough and a mass in the middle that was impossible to cook, and it wasn't even warm (from the microwave). A "Bolognese" was placed around the outside, and the mock-mozzarella on top was the icing on the cake. The pasta with salmon and lobster sauce only saw a lobster or some other crustacean and tasted absolutely of lobster. The kitchen staff should be retrained, but dishes like this shouldn't be offered. I'm a professional chef myself, so I can judge it very well. What a shame.

Highly recommended ❤️❤️❤️ The service is very good and attentive. I had veal liver with rosemary potatoes 👌👌👌, simply a delight. The tiramisu that followed rounded off the meal and was pure indulgence.

A very nice restaurant with a view of the Baltic Sea. Although it was very busy, the service was very friendly, and we received our food quickly. We went here twice, and both times we enjoyed the food immensely. Highly recommended!

We (four people) went to Rico's snack bar. We had a bit of a wait, but we were able to watch him prepare our pizzas. One of the best tasting pizzas we've ever eaten. The price was definitely reasonable. Rico is a great pizza maker. If you're not into fancy stuff, this is the place for you. We'll be back.

Thank you so much for the experience. We actually wanted to have dinner there spontaneously WITHOUT a reservation. After being told, "Without a reservation? Especially not in the sun!" we were simply left standing there, as people who had properly reserved were showing up. Okay, I suppose a restaurant that calls itself the "best Italian restaurant in Zinnowitz" or something similar can afford to turn away potential guests. Well, rest assured, I won't be trying to eat there again anytime soon.

The food is so good, we went there every day of our short vacation. It's annoying, and apparently common practice in Zinnowitz, that you're constantly asked to pay in cash. What do you think that means... or is there a logical explanation? The restaurant is definitely recommended!

We've been enjoying DaRico for five years now. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always helpful. Truly top-notch. The food is always very good quality, and we enjoy coming back. We also highly recommend the ice cream stand in front of the restaurant. We like to stop there for a quick ice cream break after a day at the beach.

The three of us ate there yesterday. We had garlic soup, carpaccio, and vitello tonato for starters, and for the main course, we had fileto da rico, fileto (with green pepper), and risotto with Mediterranean vegetables. For dessert, our daughter had creme brulee and ice cream. It was simply fantastic. Everything was beautifully presented (although the creme brulee could have been better). And everything tasted absolutely delicious. The fillets were grilled to perfection, and the sauces were simply delicious. Every course was impeccably prepared! The service was friendly, competent, and always present, despite the busy schedule (due to the large number of guests and high staff turnover). Chapeau! We're already looking forward to next year when we're on vacation again and can spend an evening there! Since we had high-quality dishes, we had to pay a little more, but it was totally worth it! A different restaurant every evening on our Usedom holiday this year. We ended up visiting Rico a second time because some of the food was good on the first visit and some, unfortunately for such a decorated Michelin-starred restaurant, were not. We actually thought that extremely dirty cutlery at the table might be unheard of. So, on the first visit, we took clean cutlery from the table next to us. This happened again on the second visit and was even more disgusting than the first time. When we asked for new, clean cutlery, we were unfortunately told not to be so upset, as a machine cleans the cutlery. Otherwise, everything was fine, except that none of the restaurants accepted card payments. This in the 21st century. Long live digitalization. There might be another reason… Anyone who thinks otherwise is a scoundrel. Nevertheless, we won't be visiting again.

Three of us dined here, a mom with two children. Making a reservation over the phone was easy. The welcome was friendly, and the outdoor seating was very inviting. Even moving us to another table (due to the weather, as there was a gap between two umbrellas) didn't cause any problems for the team. The dishes were all neatly presented, and appropriate bread, oil, etc., were served without asking. The food was delicious, so much so that the kids even asked for ice cream, which they got. The only drawback for some might be the lack of card payments, as the operator is having connection issues, BUT you can pay via PayPal.

Italian cuisine But not in this restaurant! I've lived in Italy for 27 years and have never eaten so badly in Germany. I can't imagine the owner being Italian. None of the staff spoke Italian! And the German accent wasn't Italian either. Risotto completely overcooked! Rigatoni was flavorless Bruschetta was soft and papery

They offer a wide variety of gluten-free pasta dishes. They also taste fantastic, which isn't something you'll find in every restaurant. There's nothing wrong with a small surcharge for the gluten-free option, and it's completely justified. The staff is super friendly and simply fantastic. Highly recommended!

Solid pizzas at fair prices in this location. We had the Quattro Stagioni and the salami pizza with extra salsiccia (pictures). The Pinocchio kids' pizza for €7.90 was a real surprise. It was very generous for the price! We ordered takeout around 5:30 p.m. and only sat and waited 15 minutes.

For the quality of the food, service, and location, the price is almost too cheap. The restaurant also offers fresh ice cream and soft serve at excellent prices on the promenade. We experienced this firsthand and the staff are very helpful towards people with disabilities. Highly recommended; this was our first visit to the restaurant, but definitely not our last.

The food is good, but they don't accept card payments! ("It just so happens there are network issues today," last year the phone just so happens to have broken...) If you're there with several people and spend over 100 euros, that's truly outrageous in 2025. In other countries or big cities, the store would be empty.

Beautiful restaurant, excellent friendly service, and the food exceeded expectations in terms of taste. It was plenty. Couldn't decide between crème brûlée or tiremasu for dessert, so I ordered both and would definitely recommend them both.

The most authentic Italian restaurant in Zinnowitz! Everything was top-notch in terms of craftsmanship. Here, you get a taste of Bella Italia on a pizza. Also particularly worthy of praise is the vitello tonato – super-tender and garnished with capers. The service is friendly and prompt. Advance reservations are recommended. There's no parking on Dünenstraße in front of the restaurant, but there's plenty on the parallel street behind it. We didn't try the pasta dishes; we'll try them on our next vacation. I'm happy to have found a good Italian restaurant that doesn't offer tourists a one-size-fits-all approach.

Due to the bad weather, we had to wait a while for our reserved table. We were then given a table that wasn't actually available. The waiters were very attentive. The food was delicious.

We visited several times during our vacation and tried both the pizza and the pasta, and were absolutely thrilled. The restaurant was always busy despite the off-season, so a table reservation is recommended.

You're seated outside when there are plenty of free tables, and it's awkward to use the informal "du" form of address with adults. The food was mediocre.

The pizza was okay, nothing special, but relatively expensive. Definitely skip the capers, as they were waaaaaaar too salty. The atmosphere was more like a train station concourse; we weren't asked if we'd like dessert or a coffee...no card payments...

Last night, three of us came to the restaurant completely spontaneously. We should have reserved a table, but the waiter was super nice, and we got a table straight away anyway. The waiters are all very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, and whatever we didn't finish was packed up without any fuss. Unfortunately, they ran out of tiramisu (which is supposed to be delicious). We opted for creme brulee, and it did not disappoint. Very lovingly prepared. I'm still in Zinnowitz for a few more days, and I'll definitely go again.
