Very tasty, very nice staff, very nice ambience, very well maintained, short waiting time for the food (despite it being a Saturday evening). In short: highly recommended.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen in der Gaststätte und hatten einen Tisch bestellt. Das Mittagessen war sehr gut und hat uns und unseren Gästen gut geschmeckt. Insgesamt waren wir mit dem Restaurantbesuch zufrieden. Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung trotz großen Andrangs. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

The Pelzmühle was full of loud guests, just too many guests in a small space. You could hardly have a conversation. But service and food were good.

Very nicely done. Cake at the bistro terrible. So if you order a cheesecake from a tray and then get something like that - it's bitter. Then it's better to just offer drinks. Solid, fridge edges, bad taste.

The food is very good, the service is very friendly. What I don't think is contemporary is that there was and is no alternative to normal milk! Neither oats, nor almonds, nor lactose-free milk, nothing! I think you should rethink and react pretty quickly.

The food was delicious. Could have been a little warmer. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, despite ordering, we were at a walk-through table and it was far too small for 4 people. Unfortunately, this didn't create a feel-good atmosphere and the restaurant feeling was also missing.

Addition after the operator's answer: We had to wait a relatively long time for drinks and food. Faster service and more frequent inquiries would have been desirable here. In larger groups, someone is always thirsty ;) We had reserved in advance and were even allowed to move our table briefly so we could spend some time in the sun on the terrace. We were a slightly larger group, but the service was still very quick and the food came almost at the same time. The service was friendly, the food was delicious.

I was home alone last Sunday evening. In order not to eat dinner alone, I decided to do something good for myself. I chose the Pelzmühle restaurant because I know it well and it's not very far from my home. A sign at the entrance indicates that you have been assigned a table. I knew that too. I got a seat at a mini table for two right by the window. This was not very inviting for me as an individual. Additionally, the chair was quite hard and uncomfortable. Since many tables around me were unoccupied, I took the liberty of choosing a more comfortable seat (upholstered sofa) at a table for 6 people. As soon as I had sat down, the manager of the restaurant came up to me quite angrily with an angry look and demanded! asked me to go back to my assigned table immediately. This table I moved to was reserved for 6 people. And anyway, I wouldn't have any claim at all since I didn't order. Nobody told me about it at the entrance. I objected that it would probably be better if I left again. Then the answer from him, yes, that is your decision - : (( I was pretty hungry and it was already late. So I sat down at this mini table, ordered food and two drinks, but I couldn't really enjoy it. The highlight was that in just under 2 hours only one couple appeared at one of the neighboring tables. The table in question where I sat down illegally (help where do we live) remained empty. Other nicer tables, like the one that was forced on me, also remained unoccupied. I am 69 years old, I have been living alone for more than a year. I've never experienced anything like that. In other countries (I have traveled all over the world), people like to sit at a table with more people because then they are not so alone. No restaurant owner there has ever treated me so badly. I can definitely assure you that I will never enter this restaurant again. I paid €26 for none! Service and zero friendliness. And the lie about the reservation tops it all off. We were greeted very friendly and taken to our reserved table. We really liked the atmosphere. The entire staff was super nice. Absolutely no long waiting times for drinks, appetizers and food. We really enjoyed all of the food. We were there as a small family of 3 people one day before the end of the year. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the staff couldn't tell me where I could read the rules for redeeming a GS. Only the house rules were pointed out and it was explained that this information does not have to be communicated to me. After a few discussions, the staff were upset and wanted to call the police and insulted me, as a guest, in an unmistakable tone, as a carouser. The result for me was a house ban. It's a shame actually 😕

We spontaneously went to the Pelzmühle for lunch today and were thrilled. The ambience is super nice, the portions are large and the food is very high quality and delicious. We were served at table 800 by a trainee. She was incredibly accommodating and friendly. We'll definitely be back! :)

The ambience was good and pleasant. A very nice location. The food and service were nothing special. When other reviews rave about the food, I can only explain it by comparing it to the sub-par village pubs in the area. “Good for Chemnitz” is not good. The kitchen seems boring and uninspired. The high prices are not compatible with the frozen food.

It was a great visit to the Pelzmühle, the food was so delicious, the atmosphere was very nice, there was something to look at everywhere. The restaurant was very busy. You should pre-order. We went to Pelzmühle for coffee and dinner on Saturday and felt completely at home. The food and drinks were great and the service was very friendly. Gladly again at any time.

You can't go wrong with dinner at Pelzmühle, as the owner itself is like Diebels Fasskeller (highly recommended by the way!) ...or so we thought...unfortunately we were taught otherwise. But first to the positive impressions. Ambience very modern and charmingly furnished. You immediately feel comfortable. The reception was also very friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, we had to make significant compromises when it came to eating... the goose leg we ordered with red cabbage and dumplings turned out to be a duck leg... well... whatever. The red cabbage was overcooked like in most restaurants, ok. But the fact that you get the entire stalk of the cabbage mixed into the plate was a new quality for me. Too bad At the second meal, baked potato with pulled pork, the meat was unfortunately so streaked with strands that you chewed on it like rubber and it was not edible... the waiter apologized and read something from the kitchen... the meat must be like that, it everything would be okay...well, people perceive things so differently. The delicacy was added to the bill when the waiter thought about giving out €18 in change for 2 minutes... he didn't think of it, left the place, rummaged in his wallet, came back and asked the change in the room as a question. All in all, a rather poor overall impression, this should be sharpened up.

Go here and enjoy the finest food and drinks. It's crazy how nice and accommodating the waitresses are. We give an unreserved recommendation! Pelzmühle in Chemnitz is a place you have to visit!

We've been there so many times and everything has always been great: food, service and the rooms. Gladly again and again.

The dishes (e.g. roast venison leg) were not convincing in terms of taste and the meat was unfortunately not of good quality. Overall, you can't necessarily recommend the restaurant.

We had made a reservation and we almost didn't get to enjoy it. Because, quite simply - we had no idea that it was the end of the holidays - a Sunday and wonderful autumn weather. That means the whole of Chemnitz, or rather the whole of Saxony, was out and about and a whole lot of people were there too. I would have liked to turn around. The idea of ​​lots and lots of people, long waits for food, etc. BUT - It was perfect. We were given a beautiful table, space for the dog and she was immediately given a water bowl. Without pre-ordering it would have been unthinkable - getting a seat inside. The service was super nice and really helpful, there were lots of service staff bustling around and no long waiting times. The food - I would have lost every bet on that. The plate language is beautiful, the plate warmed up (perfectly), tastes super delicious. You also have to try the dessert and drinks - the homemade lemonade. Although, actually, so much good advertising - help, more people are coming. No jokes aside - if you're around - it's really great. Parking is difficult, toilets are unfortunately too small for the masses of people. For families with children - a great playground and the zoo is also there. And the gondola pond invites you to run and gondola when the weather is great.

You can eat wonderfully there, it has a huge outdoor playground where the kids could play for hours 😊. In the restaurant itself there is a games room for the kids

Yesterday we were at the duck pond around 3 p.m. and treated ourselves to a roll with rolls and a roll with fries at the snack bar. The roast was quite tasty. But the roll was so stale that it could have been a rusk and the fries didn't work either, they were bland and not at all crispy, they simply weren't freshly prepared. Unfortunately, a well-known couple we were traveling with had the same opinion. We told the employee at the snack bar that we didn't like it and were told that there was no other way with the fries because if she prepared them fresh, they would take eight minutes and others wouldn't get them. That wasn't exactly the reaction we expected.

Small soft ice cream 3 euros... It's not even the price that's the problem, but the QUANTITY is an absolute rip-off!!!! Food has gone badly. But it's a matter of taste. The waitresses are very friendly.

We had a very nice family celebration in this restaurant with around 30 people. The service from the staff was very polite and attentive, the food was excellent and plentiful, and the rooms were very nice. As a result, everything was right or everything was successful. A big thank you to the Pelzmühle team!

We had absolutely nothing to complain about during our visit and had a great stay with a great atmosphere in the outdoor area. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the toilets were not cleaned satisfactorily and the wastebaskets were overflowing. We would still like to come back.

We were there on a very warm summer evening and were able to sit on the great terrace right next to the pond. The food was very tasty, even if the price was a bit higher, the service was very friendly, the atmosphere was great. We'd love to come back.

We ate in bistro. Pasta with sausage goulash and currywurst with fries. That was the worst currywurst I've ever eaten. The fries were nice and soggy from the GN container, for a “small” 4 euros. So honestly, even if it's a self-service bistro, I still expect quality. I'm not even talking about the lady who served us.

We reserved a table online, which worked perfectly. Nevertheless, we were able to freely choose the table and were very lucky to get one right by the water. The waiter was very attentive and the food was very good. Everything happened very quickly, despite the large crowds that day. Price-performance completely fine. The great surroundings make it romantic. The Chemnitz Zoo right next to it, pedal boating on the lake and a large playground for the kids make all the calories fall away. It was a very nice day and we would love to come back.

The Pelzmühle is beautifully situated with a large terrace by the pond of the same name and therefore gets 5 points from me for the ambience, because it is otherwise difficult to sit outside in a "nice and quiet" way in this area. The zoo and playground are nearby if there are children with you and/or you don't want to do anything. The service is not always, but most of the time, very friendly and attentive, hence the score. The food is ok, depends on the dishes. The burger is highly recommended, the baked potato with side dishes is very poor... overall ok for me, but by no means expensive, the prices are a bit too high.

The Pelzmühle is a highlight of the city of Chemnitz. We - Senloren - were able to have a good meal on Sundays, outside seating with a view, fast, friendly service, then - with a walker - a walk around the lake. A day that we will remember fondly.

We were there for a birthday dinner today (Saturday lunchtime) and were well looked after by Ajet. From start to finish he was totally personable, warm and very attentive, you immediately felt welcome. We haven't had such great service in a long time! Thank you for that! 6* The food for the 10 of us adults came quickly one after the other so we could all eat together. The food was delicious, fresh and very filling. Prices are reasonable for the quality. The homemade lemonades are also highly recommended. The only negative point of criticism: There was a service employee who was very rude, even at the next table, but luckily she only brought us a bottle of water. We'll definitely be back :)

The only drawback is when you order food and 10 minutes later someone sits down at the next table with a dog and your wife jumps up and leaves because she is allergic to animal hair because she can't breathe,,,, isn't that funny! People wanted tests, vaccinations, CO2 traffic lights....but animals (that have ticks, fleas.....are allowed in restaurants??? Sorry animals have no place in a restaurant or holiday apartment!!!! The pond (not a lake but a pond) seems a bit boozy, which is also due to stupid people who throw bread into it to feed ducks and fish (I'll come to you and give your children 5 liters of cola). The playground around the corner is really nice not so many people from the Harz were there. The animal park (not a zoo) is small but nice. Oh a place ok thought a restaurant. So hygiene and consideration for the sick???
