The dinner my boyfriend and I had for our anniversary was absolutely wonderful: delicious food, very friendly staff, and reasonable prices. We'd love to go again :D

Unfortunately, I have to revise my previously positive review after our last visit. We wanted to treat ourselves to fries and an ice cream sundae here this weekend. We ate the fries outside at the bistro, but unfortunately, our appetite for ice cream quickly faded. An employee of the bistro's outdoor area made a derogatory remark about my baby bump (40 weeks pregnant). Although it sounded like she was talking to herself, it was loud enough for me to hear clearly: "She's got a marble, it'll give you eye cancer." This comment hurt me deeply. ☹️ I would like to emphasize that it is far from my intention to judge anyone. I sincerely hope that the employee is well and does not suffer from any mental or intellectual impairments – if so, I would of course retract my review. Nevertheless, I find it deeply incomprehensible and unacceptable to make such hurtful comments towards a woman, whether pregnant or not.

Although it was very hot that day, we had a wonderful day at the Pelzmühle. The staff is very attentive and fulfills almost every customer request. We even created new dishes for the menu together. Peas in a bed of Worcestershire sauce on a skewer made from local wood will probably appear on the menu soon. It was a truly lovely afternoon. Thank you very much!

The bistro's service is almost unbeatable in terms of customer unfriendliness. 🤮 If you're going to be unprofessional and slander your customers, you should at least do it cleverly enough that they don't notice... Commenting on a heavily pregnant woman's belly with "That ball will give you eye cancer" is simply tasteless❗️

A great restaurant with a very good selection. Whether it's lunch or dinner, coffee and cake, or ice cream sundaes – everything is delicious. In summer, the outdoor area with a view of the lake is a highlight.

Great restaurant, pond, playground and zoo

The food is a bit pricey: schnitzel around €21, roulade €22. Like everywhere else. There's a snack bar next door. Coffee is excellent. The roasts, etc., are okay.

Lots of space, nicely decorated, food is okay - not amazing but varied and the price is right.

Highly recommended. A lot of fun, especially with children: there's a playground and a small zoo. I'd especially like to emphasize the extremely friendly and competent service. I'd be happy to go again.

The restaurant is located next to a small lake and the zoo. There's a great playground for children.

Great location! The food was very good, and I haven't seen potato dippers anywhere else.

I like to take a break here while walking the dogs. The dogs get a few wieners, and depending on the season, I get a coffee, a shandy, or an ice cream. Since I'm only at the kiosk, I can't comment on the food, but the staff is very friendly... although they should also be treated with respect and consideration. There's a lovely playground for the little ones, and the Pelzmühle animal park is right there. In the summer, you can also take a few laps on the gondola lake in a pedal boat.

More for vegetarians or those who like to experiment. You won't find any simple, rustic dishes. The restaurant is also prone to drafts.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good. The prices are very high. That was significantly better a year ago.

A very noisy place where you can't relax because there are kids running around and screaming everywhere. The food is tasty, but if you don't like pork you have little choice. The service is nice and quick, however we were given a slobbery and sticky menu that completely took away my desire to eat at this place.

The restaurant has a beautifully modern design and you can sit wonderfully inside and outside, even when it rains under the large roof. The menu offers a nice selection, which made the decision difficult for us. Everything was delicious and very plentiful. Even though it was Easter and there were many guests there, the service crew managed the rush in a relaxed manner. We were very satisfied and had a lovely afternoon.

I have known the locations of Pelzmühle since 1973, which then, now and then, represent the restaurant and snack bar/self-service. The story was - to put it simply - changeable: initially you came from the east of the city with the old narrow-gauge tram "Line 1" and on foot behind the "Brauerei Reichenbrand", later it was "Line 3", then Schlenkerbus. The fur mill and the zoo always had their charm. Now, after about 20 years, chance led us to the restaurant: after a while we were able to close our mouths again, the current design looks very cozy! The dishes on the menu all have their taste appeal and are not - yet - at the price level of the city center. We also met extremely friendly and competent staff, who served us very quickly and - thanks to the cuisine - had outstanding taste. All in all: We can fully recommend the Pelzmühle restaurant. It definitely won't be another 20 years until our next visit, because we'd be in a bad way for ourselves... 😉

Last Sunday we had lunch with 8 people. It was very crowded and therefore relatively loud. I was very disappointed that we couldn't order beef tongue with asparagus, even though there was schnitzel with asparagus. Even swapping peas for the schnitzel and thus tongue for asparagus was not possible. Just disappointing. We won't come back.

Excellent cuisine, top service (special praise to Mr. Nö..ler for his commitment) and, last but not least, the ambience on site, as well as in the outdoor area. Everything was very clean and beautifully designed. The children's play area is also very successful. We felt very comfortable again and will definitely come back. We were there for an event. It was very entertaining and the food was delicious. I have to praise the fact that the service worked great and was really sweet and nice. Very big praise!!! However, we found the decoration in the event room a bit strange and funny. The worms and mice are a bit reminiscent of a small kindergarten group... even the huge birds didn't quite fit.

I was here spontaneously with my parents on Sunday at 5 p.m. Despite the restaurant being full, we were allowed to sit in a quiet, cozy side room. The service was great, the food was very good, the wine was delicious and the ambience was just as beautiful. We say thank you for a great evening with you 🙏😃

Went to the Pelzmühle for the first time and were totally thrilled. The ambience and service were great, the food was very tasty and beautifully prepared. It is important to reserve in good time otherwise you have a bad chance of getting a table. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience. There is also a snack bar outside if you are quickly or slightly hungry. So there is something for everyone.!!

The food was very tasty. There was nothing to complain about. Brunch is also highly recommended. In summer you can sit in the beautiful beer garden or eat something at the kiosk. Edit: When we visited again, we unfortunately found that fried potatoes had been rationalized away as a side dish here too. Brunch is also no longer offered. The food wasn't bad, but the frozen side dishes and the rather average offering unfortunately didn't convince us anymore. Still a good place to visit as a family excursion, but we would rather go somewhere else for dinner for two.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen in der Gaststätte und hatten einen Tisch bestellt. Das Mittagessen war sehr gut und hat uns und unseren Gästen gut geschmeckt. Insgesamt waren wir mit dem Restaurantbesuch zufrieden. Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung trotz großen Andrangs. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

The Pelzmühle was full of loud guests, just too many guests in a small space. You could hardly have a conversation. But service and food were good.

The trainee buffet was great. Friendly, attentive service and the food was great too. What was particularly endearing was that the trainees introduced themselves before the buffet opened. 🩷 It was nice. See you next time.

Very nicely done. Cake at the bistro terrible. So if you order a cheesecake from a tray and then get something like that - it's bitter. Then it's better to just offer drinks. Solid, fridge edges, bad taste.

The food is very good, the service is very friendly. What I don't think is contemporary is that there was and is no alternative to normal milk! Neither oats, nor almonds, nor lactose-free milk, nothing! I think you should rethink and react pretty quickly.

The food was delicious. Could have been a little warmer. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, despite ordering, we were at a walk-through table and it was far too small for 4 people. Unfortunately, this didn't create a feel-good atmosphere and the restaurant feeling was also missing.

Addition after the operator's answer: We had to wait a relatively long time for drinks and food. Faster service and more frequent inquiries would have been desirable here. In larger groups, someone is always thirsty ;) We had reserved in advance and were even allowed to move our table briefly so we could spend some time in the sun on the terrace. We were a slightly larger group, but the service was still very quick and the food came almost at the same time. The service was friendly, the food was delicious.

I was home alone last Sunday evening. In order not to eat dinner alone, I decided to do something good for myself. I chose the Pelzmühle restaurant because I know it well and it's not very far from my home. A sign at the entrance indicates that you have been assigned a table. I knew that too. I got a seat at a mini table for two right by the window. This was not very inviting for me as an individual. Additionally, the chair was quite hard and uncomfortable. Since many tables around me were unoccupied, I took the liberty of choosing a more comfortable seat (upholstered sofa) at a table for 6 people. As soon as I had sat down, the manager of the restaurant came up to me quite angrily with an angry look and demanded! asked me to go back to my assigned table immediately. This table I moved to was reserved for 6 people. And anyway, I wouldn't have any claim at all since I didn't order. Nobody told me about it at the entrance. I objected that it would probably be better if I left again. Then the answer from him, yes, that is your decision - : (( I was pretty hungry and it was already late. So I sat down at this mini table, ordered food and two drinks, but I couldn't really enjoy it. The highlight was that in just under 2 hours only one couple appeared at one of the neighboring tables. The table in question where I sat down illegally (help where do we live) remained empty. Other nicer tables, like the one that was forced on me, also remained unoccupied. I am 69 years old, I have been living alone for more than a year. I've never experienced anything like that. In other countries (I have traveled all over the world), people like to sit at a table with more people because then they are not so alone. No restaurant owner there has ever treated me so badly. I can definitely assure you that I will never enter this restaurant again. I paid €26 for none! Service and zero friendliness. And the lie about the reservation tops it all off. I'd rather go to a fast food restaurant. Marion L.

We were greeted very friendly and taken to our reserved table. We really liked the atmosphere. The entire staff was super nice. Absolutely no long waiting times for drinks, appetizers and food. We really enjoyed all of the food. We were there as a small family of 3 people one day before the end of the year. We'll definitely be back.

Attention ⚠️ Voucher rip-off ⚠️ Any remaining value of the voucher will not be credited, for example for the next visit, but EVERYTHING will be retained as a tip. Here you enrich yourself with the customer and a service that has already been paid for is not provided. Especially considering that the money for the GS has already been paid by the buyer. Unfortunately, the staff couldn't tell me where I could read the rules for redeeming a GS. Only the house rules were pointed out and it was explained that this information does not have to be communicated to me. After a few discussions, the staff were upset and wanted to call the police and insulted me, as a guest, in an unmistakable tone, as a carouser. The result for me was a house ban. It's a shame actually 😕

We spontaneously went to the Pelzmühle for lunch today and were thrilled. The ambience is super nice, the portions are large and the food is very high quality and delicious. We were served at table 800 by a trainee. She was incredibly accommodating and friendly. We'll definitely be back! :)

The ambience was good and pleasant. A very nice location. The food and service were nothing special. When other reviews rave about the food, I can only explain it by comparing it to the sub-par village pubs in the area. “Good for Chemnitz” is not good. The kitchen seems boring and uninspired. The high prices are not compatible with the frozen food.

It was a great visit to the Pelzmühle, the food was so delicious, the atmosphere was very nice, there was something to look at everywhere. The restaurant was very busy. You should pre-order. This can be done easily over the internet. Despite the many guests, everything went very quickly and the service staff was neither stressed nor hectic. Were there for the first time. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and given a nice seat. The starter and main course were flawless. We liked it and the portion size was very good. We can also highly recommend the homemade drinks. The service staff were very nice and attentive. If you want to call something negative, you could mention the size of the individual tables. This could be a little bigger. All in all it's a full 5 stars.
