Went here spontaneously to have a coffee and got a table for five on a Saturday even without a reservation. Service was very good and the atmosphere was absolutely great, although the Christmas decorations before the Sunday of the Dead were a bit strange.

It has never happened to me that it didn't taste good. Large portions, really tasty prepared. All the employees are friendly and accommodating, you immediately feel at home. Big compliments to the kitchen, the duck on Saturday was really great!

We went to Pelzmühle for coffee and dinner on Saturday and felt completely at home. The food and drinks were great and the service was very friendly. Gladly again at any time.

You can't go wrong with dinner at Pelzmühle, as the owner itself is like Diebels Fasskeller (highly recommended by the way!) ...or so we thought...unfortunately we were taught otherwise. But first to the positive impressions. Ambience very modern and charmingly furnished. You immediately feel comfortable. The reception was also very friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, we had to make significant compromises when it came to eating... the goose leg we ordered with red cabbage and dumplings turned out to be a duck leg... well... whatever. The red cabbage was overcooked like in most restaurants, ok. But the fact that you get the entire stalk of the cabbage mixed into the plate was a new quality for me. Too bad At the second meal, baked potato with pulled pork, the meat was unfortunately so streaked with strands that you chewed on it like rubber and it was not edible... the waiter apologized and read something from the kitchen... the meat must be like that, it everything would be okay...well, people perceive things so differently. The delicacy was added to the bill when the waiter thought about giving out €18 in change for 2 minutes... he didn't think of it, left the place, rummaged in his wallet, came back and asked the change in the room as a question. All in all, a rather poor overall impression, this should be sharpened up.

Go here and enjoy the finest food and drinks. It's crazy how nice and accommodating the waitresses are. We give an unreserved recommendation! Pelzmühle in Chemnitz is a place you have to visit!

We've been there so many times and everything has always been great: food, service and the rooms. Gladly again and again.

The dishes (e.g. roast venison leg) were not convincing in terms of taste and the meat was unfortunately not of good quality. Overall, you can't necessarily recommend the restaurant.

Everything was great: very good cuisine, more than sufficient portions at a reasonable price, combined with friendly, relaxed service (thanks @Richie). That's how it should be => warmest recommendation.

Everything was fine, the food was good and plentiful, the service was attentive.

Went to a family celebration and there was a lot going on. Great service, great with the kids. Food came quickly, warm and tasty. Top! We'll be back. The playground in front of it is great for children, as is the play area in the restaurant.

We had made a reservation and we almost didn't get to enjoy it. Because, quite simply - we had no idea that it was the end of the holidays - a Sunday and wonderful autumn weather. That means the whole of Chemnitz, or rather the whole of Saxony, was out and about and a whole lot of people were there too. I would have liked to turn around. The idea of ​​lots and lots of people, long waits for food, etc. BUT - It was perfect. We were given a beautiful table, space for the dog and she was immediately given a water bowl. Without pre-ordering it would have been unthinkable - getting a seat inside. The service was super nice and really helpful, there were lots of service staff bustling around and no long waiting times. The food - I would have lost every bet on that. The plate language is beautiful, the plate warmed up (perfectly), tastes super delicious. You also have to try the dessert and drinks - the homemade lemonade. Although, actually, so much good advertising - help, more people are coming. No jokes aside - if you're around - it's really great. Parking is difficult, toilets are unfortunately too small for the masses of people. For families with children - a great playground and the zoo is also there. And the gondola pond invites you to run and gondola when the weather is great.

You can eat wonderfully there, it has a huge outdoor playground where the kids could play for hours 😊. In the restaurant itself there is a games room for the kids

Yesterday we were at the duck pond around 3 p.m. and treated ourselves to a roll with rolls and a roll with fries at the snack bar. The roast was quite tasty. But the roll was so stale that it could have been a rusk and the fries didn't work either, they were bland and not at all crispy, they simply weren't freshly prepared. Unfortunately, a well-known couple we were traveling with had the same opinion. We told the employee at the snack bar that we didn't like it and were told that there was no other way with the fries because if she prepared them fresh, they would take eight minutes and others wouldn't get them. That wasn't exactly the reaction we expected.

Small soft ice cream 3 euros... It's not even the price that's the problem, but the QUANTITY is an absolute rip-off!!!! Food has gone badly. But it's a matter of taste. The waitresses are very friendly.

We had a very nice family celebration in this restaurant with around 30 people. The service from the staff was very polite and attentive, the food was excellent and plentiful, and the rooms were very nice. As a result, everything was right or everything was successful. A big thank you to the Pelzmühle team!

We had absolutely nothing to complain about during our visit and had a great stay with a great atmosphere in the outdoor area. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the toilets were not cleaned satisfactorily and the wastebaskets were overflowing. We would still like to come back.

We were there on a very warm summer evening and were able to sit on the great terrace right next to the pond. The food was very tasty, even if the price was a bit higher, the service was very friendly, the atmosphere was great. We'd love to come back.

We ate in bistro. Pasta with sausage goulash and currywurst with fries. That was the worst currywurst I've ever eaten. The fries were nice and soggy from the GN container, for a “small” 4 euros. So honestly, even if it's a self-service bistro, I still expect quality. I'm not even talking about the lady who served us.

We reserved a table online, which worked perfectly. Nevertheless, we were able to freely choose the table and were very lucky to get one right by the water. The waiter was very attentive and the food was very good. Everything happened very quickly, despite the large crowds that day. Price-performance completely fine. The great surroundings make it romantic. The Chemnitz Zoo right next to it, pedal boating on the lake and a large playground for the kids make all the calories fall away. It was a very nice day and we would love to come back.

The Pelzmühle is beautifully situated with a large terrace by the pond of the same name and therefore gets 5 points from me for the ambience, because it is otherwise difficult to sit outside in a "nice and quiet" way in this area. The zoo and playground are nearby if there are children with you and/or you don't want to do anything. The service is not always, but most of the time, very friendly and attentive, hence the score. The food is ok, depends on the dishes. The burger is highly recommended, the baked potato with side dishes is very poor... overall ok for me, but by no means expensive, the prices are a bit too high.

We were there for a birthday dinner today (Saturday lunchtime) and were well looked after by Ajet. From start to finish he was totally personable, warm and very attentive, you immediately felt welcome. We haven't had such great service in a long time! Thank you for that! 6* The food for the 10 of us adults came quickly one after the other so we could all eat together. The food was delicious, fresh and very filling. Prices are reasonable for the quality. The homemade lemonades are also highly recommended. The only negative point of criticism: There was a service employee who was very rude, even at the next table, but luckily she only brought us a bottle of water. We'll definitely be back :)

The Pelzmühle is a highlight of the city of Chemnitz. We - Senloren - were able to have a good meal on Sundays, outside seating with a view, fast, friendly service, then - with a walker - a walk around the lake. A day that we will remember fondly.

We really liked it here, the food on the menu was a good mix of traditional and more modern but also Mediterranean dishes, so there was definitely something for everyone. Our dishes were very tasty. A dream of service and quality. The ambience is great and if you come a little early you can take a little walk around the adjacent lake. I would recommend making a reservation. Quite OK 👌 Service and food good. The only drawback is when you order food and 10 minutes later someone sits down at the next table with a dog and your wife jumps up and leaves because she is allergic to animal hair because she can't breathe,,,, isn't that funny! People wanted tests, vaccinations, CO2 traffic lights....but animals (that have ticks, fleas.....are allowed in restaurants??? Sorry animals have no place in a restaurant or holiday apartment!!!! The pond (not a lake but a pond) seems a bit boozy, which is also due to stupid people who throw bread into it to feed ducks and fish (I'll come to you and give your children 5 liters of cola). The playground around the corner is really nice not so many people from the Harz were there. The animal park (not a zoo) is small but nice. Oh a place ok thought a restaurant. So hygiene and consideration for the sick???

Very nice restaurant, beautifully located by the pond! The food was very good and the service was always very friendly. During our visit, a storm suddenly came (we were sitting outside, but protected). The waitresses reacted quickly and easily so that all guests could be looked after quickly.

Very tasty food and nice ambience right on the lake!

Not every day is the same in terms of food and service, but overall it's fine. Once we (me and a friend) had a really strange dish that tasted like bouillon cubes with walnuts, but that was the only real letdown so far. Definitely delicious lemonades that you should try and a great atmosphere, especially in summer.

Today I was at the playground with my grandson where he fell off the climbing frame. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the strangers who helped immediately and the ambulance. Also with the children for their small gestures and compassion. My grandson was checked out at the clinic and everything was fine except for abrasions and a slight bruise!!!!! Many thanks also to the ambulance team and the clinic staff. As a grandma, I was pretty scared, but the great help from everyone did me a lot of good, thanks again to everyone 👍

So I like the child-friendly nature. There is a children's menu, a playroom and our little one could look out over the pond and watch the ducks. The food was also super tasty, the service was very friendly and the prices were not cheap but reasonable. If we are in Chemnitz again, we would like to come back

Every bite was a delight. From the starter to the dessert, every dish was perfectly coordinated and a real culinary delight. Another plus point was the extremely friendly and attentive service. The service staff was not only very competent and professional, but also extremely courteous and warm. They always made sure that we didn't lack anything and that we felt completely comfortable. It is rare to find such a perfect combination of excellent food, pleasant ambience and first-class service. All in all, I can warmly recommend the Pelzmühle restaurant. It is the ideal place for a romantic dinner, a cozy meal with friends or a special occasion. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to this wonderful restaurant!

A very nice restaurant. If you have been to the zoo in Chemnitz you should definitely go there to eat something. There is also a very large playground in front of it. The food is great and very tasty, the staff is very friendly. Prices are appropriate but affordable.

Three weeks ago I booked a table for 4:30 p.m. to celebrate my mom's birthday. The waiter at the entrance was very helpful, assigned us a great table and then we waited. The place wasn't very busy, but we were overlooked. After 25 minutes of waiting, the waitress responsible for us said as she passed: I'll come to you. We were no longer excited about her coming. And that's probably what we looked like. She called out to her colleague: Don't you want to take over 105 (our table) because she obviously didn't feel like it? We didn't have it anymore and left the restaurant after 30 minutes. It's a shame because of a colleague who, after having overlooked us (it can happen), no longer even wants to serve us. So we can't judge the food.

Location is on a small lake, large terrace, plenty of space with shade. Service was a bit unmotivated, perhaps due to the heat. The food was okay, schnitzel with asparagus, schnitzel was good, and fish with asparagus, fish too dry, the asparagus was not fresh.

Great restaurant, pond, playground and zoo

Very tasty and sumptuous food! I had a delicious spicy meat as a starter and the sauerbraten for the main course. The card didn't lie. It says “big potato dumpling” and yes, it was big! And really delicious. Together with the sauce it was a dream! The meat was buttery soft and literally melted in your mouth. That's exactly how I imagine a good sauerbraten. I maintain that it was the tastiest sauerbraten I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The red cabbage was very tasty and creamy. It went perfectly with the dish. It was sensational in terms of appearance, taste and price. I'll be back - and I recommend it to everyone else.

We celebrated our wedding in the Pelzmühle and were thrilled. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Although the Pelzmühle is very large, the clever layout means it doesn't feel overloaded and the conversation acoustics were pleasant. The food was excellent and very filling. Beautiful place for lunch, always nice food.

Really remarkably good and varied dishes. You never know, but everything tasted home-cooked. Someone tasted it well and cleverly. Risotto, fish, burgers, goulash... Everything was ordered and tasted at the birthday table. There were no downward outliers. The side salads were dressed and fresh, not standard icebergs but creative and delicious. Somehow we had some bad luck with the service. I wouldn't have the impression that our table was very demanding or annoying, but our service wasn't that friendly and motivated. Sure, taking a break from clearing the dishes to take the order for espresso is a bit tricky, but also understandable. It would also be completely OK. to say "I'll clean up and come right back" But there were only annoyed looks and no one actively asked if anyone liked me coffee. It's a shame - everything else is perfect.
