Restaurant Pasternak in Berlin

A wonderful place with wonderful service! The dishes and the attitude of the staff are what is sometimes lacking in Berlin! Mimosa with orange juice, a variety of breakfasts and other dishes of the most delicious cuisine!

I had very nice dinner in this restaurant. I enjoyed the good weather on the terrace. The food was very good, I had eggplant tartar as starter, it was very tasty with interesting mix of flavours. As main could I has beef stroganoff, it was delicious and quite big portion. My mother had vegetarian variniki and she told it was very tasty

The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was shared between two, and the portions were super generous. We went to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and they even added a sparkler to the dessert. The waiter who served us (Micky) was super attentive. As soon as he realized we spoke Spanish, he started speaking to us in that language and made everything easier for us. We'll be back.

After too many days of cheese and wursts, the vegetarian breakfast#2 was exactly what I needed. Delicious and sustaining! I'm glad I'm staying in the area for a week so I can go back.

Delicious food and great atmoshpere! For dinner we tried 1) the lamb shoulder (very tender) with wild broccoli and cauliflower purée and 2) potato dumplings with porcini. Both were very tasteful. We came back the next day for breakfast, and enjoyed delicious Oladushki pancakes, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.

Loved the pelmeni! Want more right now. My wife loved their chicken Kiev. Great atmosphere on a quiet square. Service was good.

First I discovered the fantastic "Blue Fox," and now I've discovered another highly recommended restaurant in the area: Pasternak. Delicious, freshly prepared Russian-Jewish cuisine. The only thing that puts me off are the toilets, where you're not supposed to throw paper, a practice that results in a very unpleasant odor. This detracts from the experience.

The food was delicious, but the service (as described in other reviews) was really bad, despite the strong staff. To give just a few examples: the starter came before the drinks, we didn't all have our main courses at the same time (difference of 5 Minutes upwards) and we canceled some drinks due to the long waiting time. As good as the food is, we would choose another restaurant of this type next time because of the service.

Tasty Russian restaurant conveniently located close to the market and the synagogue. The food is tasty and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is modern and has an ample terrace to eat outside.

Today we were in this restaurant for the second time - and again we absolutely loved it! The food is simply delicious, the ingredients are fresh and wonderfully aromatic. Particularly nice for families with children: There is a playground right next to the water tower, so that enjoyment and play can be perfectly combined. The waiters are extremely friendly and attentive. We would love to come back

Great East European restaurant in trendy neighborhood of Berlin. The food is delicious and has a cozy atmosphere, good for dates and celebrations. The Napoleon Cake was tasty.

They brought me non-vegan food instead of vegan dish that I ordered, because I have a strong lactose intolerance. The label said VEGAN (see photo). The place is very noisy. The personnel is extremely rude, they told me not to smoke outside because of children, even though they had ashtrays, and it’s completely legal in Germany. Staff speaks only Russian language, the atmosphere is very hostile. Random musicians play loud music there all the time. Please don’t support this place.

The food was really good, and even we had some problems with reservation, they were so nice to find a solution and give us a table. Natalia as the waitress was being very kind and giving us even suggestions. Would definetely come here when we crave again for some good Russian food :)

This place is really amazing and worth to try! I had borscht, pelmeni and Kiev cutlet and all of them are solid 5. I haven't eaten such quality eastern Europe cuisine dishes since I left Russia. Special thanks to Natalia for the great service and worm welcoming!

Really surprised and happy about how lovely the food, atmosphere and service is here! We will certainly be back - loved the borscht, grilled lamb and dumplings - found the dessert a bit lacking in flavor but besides that a really delicious meal with kind and generous service. 😍

Great restaurant. The food is excellent (but really), the drinks too (I recommend the homemade lemonade) the service very professional. It's certainly higher in price than in other places, but considering the quality of the food, it seems more than normal to me. I recommend.

I had amazing experience here. The food is pricy, but it’s worthy. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere reminds of my favorite restaurant in Saint-Petersburg.

I found it quite expensive for a meal. Russian touch, as the name suggests. The borsch seems to be very popular. However, the location is very nice.

This restaurant is so good that we went twice in one weekend! The pelmeni was divine, and the Georgian white wine was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding, the staff took really good care of us. 10/10!

We had the Prazdnik menu, without exception everything was very tasty. The interior is relatively narrow, the tables are close together. This can make it relatively loud. But if you sit outside in the summer, you don't have this problem. But the atmosphere is still very pleasant. The service was very attentive. We didn't wait long for food. We had a very nice evening with fantastic food!

I paid for a cappuccino 4,50euro and I had to wait 20 minutes and the guy gave me a cappuccino of a size of an espresso. Come on !! We are in Berlin…

Delicious food. Upscale but definitely worth it. The borscht tasted great. The children loved the pelmeni. I can recommend the shashlyk in combination with the braised vegetables. The tables are very close together, which makes the whole thing seem very authentic. The service was very attentive and fulfilled our every wish. Parking is a disaster in the area, it's best to come by public transport. Then you can also enjoy the beer and vodka. !!! Be sure to reserve!!! it is always full.

Best Restaurant of slavic cuisune in Berlin (I can compare with others)! Borsch is super decent, salads are beyond amazing, Kiew Kotlett is very tasty. The athmosphere is super cosy, the district is just beautiful. The stuff is very polite and attentive. I keep bringing my friends there, and they are always satisfied. Wonderful evening in a unique restaurant listening to old Jewish music played live on the piano. A throughly mesmerising experience with the best customer service and exceptional food. I had the lamb cutlets and a pavlova for dessert. 10/10. No cash… just cards… that’s unusual for Berlin.

Amazing place for breakfast with authentic Russian cuisine! We ordered the breakfast for two, oladushki (Russian pancakes), and a matcha latte, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service from Marita. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her recommendations were spot on, and her warm attitude made our mood better. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place!

The food was delicious as always, but the POOR SERVICE ruined the entire evening. For the prices I would definitely have expected more hospitality. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the restaurant and will avoid it in the future.

Great food and attentive personnel, Marita was quick to explain the options on the menu and communicated freely in 3 different languages with our international table. It’s the second time we return to this restaurant and the food is good as always, and the food doesn’t take long to come out of the kitchen.
