Tasteless, certainly not authentic Syrian cuisine. Third attempt. Disappointed again.

I honestly don’t understand the positive reviews here. The food was nowhere near as good as in other Arabic restaurants in the area. The grilled lamb was completely overcooked and didn’t taste good at all. Service was not great—just barely okay. When we asked for recommendations, we felt pushed into ordering rather than being advised. The appetizers ended up overlapping with the main dishes, and instead of trying to accommodate our requests, the staff seemed more focused on bringing extra items to add to the bill. Overall, a disappointing experience.

The food here is not good. I don't know if the great reviews are all from their friends or what's going on, but the pita was dry and from the grocery store, the meat is overcooked and tough, and the vegetables are soggy or in salads with oddly salty dressing. The service is decent, although they don't give you new plates and cutlery between the appetizers and mains. On the plus side, the wine is cheap, but that's not why I chose this restaurant. Not recommended.

Hummus, falafel, and the like are truly delicious and more than plentiful. The picture shows only the appetizers from the Palmyra platter for two.

We ate here in the summer and it was a mixed but still good experience. The food was incredibly delicious and there was a really large portion, which we were happy to take home for the next day. Something so good shouldn't be wasted. The service was very quick and attentive despite the volume of orders. But the sheer number of reservations and the fact that the street was packed with tables wasn't pleasant. A few fewer tables outside would have improved the ambiance. You should definitely make a reservation, otherwise it looks quite cramped.

I went there for the first time yesterday and luckily managed to get a table. However, the service was disappointing; it was slow, and overall, I didn't feel particularly attentive. I had the upturned rice. It tasted okay, but not outstanding for me. The whole thing seemed quite dry, even though it was served with a kind of yogurt spread similar to tzatziki. I didn't think it was good value for money, as it essentially consisted of rice with a few toppings like beef and almonds. Maybe I just got the wrong dish, but for me personally, it wasn't a great experience. The service, in particular, rather dampened the overall experience.

The waiter charged us €7 more than the menu. I noticed it too late. Unfortunately, the bill wasn't printed. Ask for a receipt and calculate everything yourself. Besides, it's quite expensive.

This place has the best food, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere leaves no wishes open especially if you dine outside during summer.

Today was our first time in Palmyra. The food was truly incredible. We were very impressed with everything. We were very, very satisfied. It felt exactly like you were on vacation. The staff were fantastic, very friendly, and they kept asking if everything was okay. The garden was very nice and fully booked. The street was fantastic. Five of us once ordered platters for four. That was enough for eight people, absolutely incredible. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back, and thanks to the team.

By far the best Syrian restaurant. We've tried everything and still love coming here. The service is, as always, friendly and always with a smile. It's definitely worth making a reservation to ensure you get a table.

I had a truly incredible dining experience at Restaurant Palmyra. I ordered the Palmyra Teller, and it was an absolute standout. The platter was a perfect introduction to their authentic Syrian cuisine, featuring a wonderful variety of flavors and textures. The grilled meats were perfectly marinated, the falafel was crispy and delicious, and the dips like the hummus and mutabal were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The entire dish was a perfect balance of spices and freshness. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the meal even more enjoyable. I can't recommend this dish enough—it's a must-try!

Celebrating our sibling reunion at this authentic restaurant was the best decision. The food was delicious and varied, the portions generous, and the service excellent and very friendly. The three of us had the Palmyra platter with two additional appetizers and were more than satisfied. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back!

I'm thrilled. The food is of the highest quality. The falafel was the best I've ever eaten. The service was excellent, always present and unobtrusive. One of the best restaurants in Erlangen!

The food was okay, but we liked the starters best. We didn't think the main courses were that great, and they were quite expensive (around €16 for the rice pot, which only contained rather dry rice, eggplant, and almonds...). The service was rather poor: We were given a stained tablecloth, had to arrange the plates and napkins ourselves, and we had to pack up the leftover food ourselves at the end; they only brought a box. The outdoor area is quite nice in the summer, with a view of the church in one direction. It's also very central.

I've been going to Palmyra in Erlangen for several years now. The food is authentic and always tastes special. If you're looking for something a little different from your average meal and enjoy something special, especially Mesopotamian cuisine, this is the place for you. On certain evenings, you should definitely make a reservation. The prices are perfectly reasonable for the food.

A truly wonderful surprise on Whit Monday. The restaurant was open despite being a Monday and a holiday. The food (a Palmyra platter for two) was delicious, everything was authentic, and the service was super friendly. At its best!

We ordered a platter for two people, but it was probably enough for many more. A week ago, we were at Amasina. A waitress was very rude and drunk, and also brought the wrong food. When the food was brought, she spilled wine on my boyfriend. Disaster! Come to Palmyra instead.

It was our first time there, and it was so delicious that we'll be coming back more often from now on. The meat was amazing, and the dips were absolutely fantastic! We also had a small dessert, which was also really delicious. The staff was consistently very friendly, and the service was excellent.

A very popular restaurant near the train station. The food is outstanding, but it's best to arrive a little later to avoid rush hour. We even got a house special at the end. Highly recommended!

We went here for dinner and the food was really delicious! The portions are generous and everything tasted great. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired - despite a reservation, we had to wait 25 minutes for our table, and the food also took quite a long time. All in all, a good restaurant with great food, but there is still room for improvement when it comes to service.

Very Slow and poor Service. !! Even after reservation, we were pushed to another restaurant, and it too 55 minutes to bring simple standard order. Won’t go again !!!

Found the store by chance and boy was it a gold find. The two of us took the Palmyra platter for 2 people and had to take something with us (let's say we were both hungry and can both eat a lot). The starters were one better than the last, the falafel was perfect, the meat was incredibly flavorful and grilled to perfection. All in all: you definitely have to visit this store.

We had a reservation for 18:45. When we arrived at 18:35 the waiter showed our table and informed that we needed to leave at 20:00. At 20:00 the waiter started speeding us up, saying that other guests were already waiting. In general, the service here leaves much to desire, and the meet was quite dry. It's a restaurant with Arabic cuisine, but there was playing Indian music, also there were unopened bottles of wine on each table, which is quite confusing and questionable, whether they really serve halal food.

Had a “surprise plate” vegetarian for two and it was plentiful and everything was super tasty. Various dips such as hummus, muhammara, a garlic cream, plus tabbouleh, flatbread, falafel. Everything fresh and super tasty! Come again!
