The food (no matter what you order) is absolutely fantastic. We had ribs, chicken Kiev, and pirogi, all served with salad and bread with lard. We've rarely eaten so well. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is rustic (an old farmhouse) but still very charming and cozy. All in all, wonderful. I highly recommend it, but you should definitely reserve a table in advance. Sometimes you can get a table without a reservation, but not always.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. The food was delicious, the atmosphere pleasant, and the service excellent. We would especially like to thank our server Sofia – she was very friendly, attentive, and professional. We felt completely at ease and would gladly return.

Delicious and authentic Ukrainian cuisine! We had various appetizers, then main courses like borscht and golubtsy, and various desserts.

There were two private parties (approximately 40 people each) in the restaurant, yet we still managed to get a table. Our party of five received a very warm welcome and were given a lovely table. The service was simply outstanding. The young lady was incredibly attentive, keeping a close eye on both our table and the other party. Our table was treated to a wonderful array of small snacks, cakes, chocolates, and other delightful treats. As for the food itself, we were all absolutely thrilled. It was a truly wonderful evening, and we will definitely return to this restaurant and recommend it to others.

It's a restaurant that often hosts events. The food was a buffet, and it was truly delicious. They had a casino set up, which was a lot of fun. Parking is easy if you're driving, and if you're taking public transport, it's a 15-minute walk from the tram stop. I highly recommend it.

We were here today with 10 people, including a toddler, and we were absolutely thrilled. It's especially great for families and groups with children! Everything here has been planned and thought out with such care. The food and service were also fantastic! A little tip: we found it quite chilly, even rather cold upstairs, so pack an extra sweater 😉

I recently visited the new Ukrainian restaurant Smak in Hanover, and I really want to share my impressions. The place opened only recently, but you can already feel the love poured into it. The atmosphere is incredibly warm—one of those rare moments when, upon entering, you immediately feel a sense of calm and comfort. The interior is meticulously designed: soft, warm colors, pleasant lighting, and details that evoke home. Everything looks modern, but without being overly pretentious—simply beautiful and homey. Oh! The fireplace! A source of warmth and comfort. The cuisine is a special treat. The dishes are just like home: simple, straightforward, and delicious. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and the recipes are familiar and intimate. This is the kind of home-style Ukrainian cuisine that's so rare to find outside of Ukraine. The service is very pleasant: unobtrusive yet attentive. It's clear the staff cares about making guests feel comfortable. During my time at the restaurant, I repeatedly felt as if I wasn't in Germany, but somewhere in Ukraine—among my own people. Perhaps this was also because many of the guests, like me, had been displaced by the war. And it was especially heartwarming to see how people found a small island of home in a new city. Smak is a place you want to return to. For the taste, the comfort, the feeling of home. I highly recommend it.

Yesterday, my friends and I visited a wonderful Ukrainian restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by both the presentation of the dishes and their taste and sophistication. It felt like we were at home, in Ukraine. The waiters are friendly and attentive, the restaurant is clean and everything is decorated in the Ukrainian style. Special thanks for 2 compliments from the establishment - delicious lard with black bread and a Napoleon cake for the birthday girl! We will definitely come back again! I definitely recommend it)

We'd like to commend the authentic, homemade Ukrainian cuisine – especially dishes like borscht and the meat platter – which are very, very tasty. After a very pleasant and friendly, unprompted tour, we would describe the restaurant as very warm, open, and inviting in every respect. The service was excellent, even in German, but above all, it was very hospitable and family-friendly. The rooms are ideal for events of any kind, and the open fireplace is a real highlight.

We were here on Friday with a friend and absolutely loved it. We had borscht and vareniki with potatoes and pork rinds—delicious, just like home. The waitress helped us choose drinks, everything was quick and friendly. At the end, they brought us glasses of cherry vodka—a pleasant surprise 😅 We sat in the glass room, it was cozy and beautiful. Overall, it's a great place, done with love. We'll definitely come back again.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior and very well-thought-out decor — it’s clear that a lot of attention was given to the atmosphere. However, the overall concept feels a bit unclear, as the elegant design doesn’t really match the idea of Ukrainian cuisine. The menu selection is quite limited, and some of the traditional Ukrainian dishes one might expect to find are missing. The portions are rather small, and while the food tastes mostly all right, it doesn’t quite stand out — especially considering the rather high prices. At this stage, I’m not sure I would come back soon, but the place definitely has potential. With some work on aligning the concept, improving the quality, and expanding the menu, it could become a really nice spot. I’ll be curious to see how it develops in the future.

I was very disappointed. Our table was reserved for four people; we were celebrating our daughter's birthday with the family. Our table was in a room with two banquet halls, crowded with people, and everyone was shouting over each other. The birthday boy at the next table was rude to the waiters, and his guests were shouting toasts across the table, oblivious to the fact that they were not alone in the restaurant. We couldn't hear each other, couldn't even talk or say a few words of greeting to our birthday girl. We all got headaches from the noise. The waiters were inert, listless, forgetful, lacking initiative and enthusiasm. The food service time was 55 minutes!!! Forgive me, but that's too much. Despite the pleasant compliment from the restaurant (black bread with lard), we were already very hungry by the time it was served. Overall, the atmosphere was somewhat uncomfortable; the distance between tables was narrow, and the waiters had no room to turn. The food was decent, but the pork knuckle and potatoes could have used at least a salad. It was truly disappointing. Incidentally, the waiter could have offered us a salad separately and warned us that there were no vegetables (and we would have gladly ordered more), but after waiting almost an hour, we decided not to order anything else. For the same reason, we decided not to try any desserts, even though we had originally planned on the honey cake with tea. I was very disappointed. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. And I doubt I'll visit again.

We ordered food to take away – everything is so delicious that words cannot describe it! 😍 We also celebrated my son’s birthday – everything went as cool as possible. Service, cuisine, friendly staff – everything is at the highest level. We are absolutely satisfied and will definitely come back! 🇺🇦

Good concept with a playroom for children and a lovely ambiance in the historic half-timbered house and the outdoor area behind it. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed with both the value for money and the service. There were eight of us there. One meal arrived incorrectly and had to be cooked again, and another meal didn't arrive at the table until everyone else had finished. When I requested to change or swap side dishes that were also available in other dishes, the waitress simply replied, "That's not possible." Honestly, this is the first restaurant I've experienced where you can't change side dishes (e.g., instead of fried potatoes, fries, boiled potatoes, or something similar). There was no Parmesan cheese with the children's pasta, even when I asked. Okay, that's forgivable; it's not Italian, but it's a suggestion for improvement. I didn't like the bread served before the meal, but that's certainly a matter of taste. The filled dumplings were tasty, but the portion size and somewhat poor presentation don't justify the price in my opinion. The children's portions were reasonable, though. Everyone at the table agreed that the food was delicious, but the service/organization and the value for money could be improved. On a positive note, I would like to point out that they made an effort to correct the errors and even apologized for them. Therefore, only one star deducted.

I really like Smak. Authentic Ukrainian cuisine and a very welcoming atmosphere. I look forward to coming back. My only criticism was the waiter on the day of our visit. While he was very nice and tried to create a pleasant atmosphere with his very open manner, it was just a bit too much. I would have hoped for a bit more professionalism here.

An absolute recommendation! 😋 As soon as we stopped our bikes in front of the restaurant and looked for a place to park, an employee noticed us and came out to help us. (Behind the restaurant is a well-kept grounds with bike racks and plenty of seating.) The restaurant is a beautiful half-timbered house with a lovely ambiance. The staff was always friendly and answered all our questions. My friendly feedback about the food was immediately received very positively. (Thanks for the greeting from the kitchen!!! 😅😉) Such kindnesses simply make all the difference in my eyes. The food was extremely delicious, and I regret I couldn't eat more.😅 The menu features many delicious Ukrainian dishes. And the dessert is also a feast for the palate. The cleanliness of the modern restrooms and the pleasant local music rounded off our visit. There's also enough space for a birthday dinner. Thank you for the great experience, we will definitely come back. 😋♥️

As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted at the entrance by one of the staff members, who kindly offered to take our jackets. A nice gesture! The restaurant is spacious and comfortably furnished. Our pre-reserved table was in the conservatory. There are vases of real flowers on each table, subtle music plays in the background, and everything can be easily described as "cozy." The wait for our food was quite long, but that didn't bother us too much, especially since the individual dishes were delicious. P.S. Dear restaurant staff, please take a look at the chandeliers in the conservatory. There's a bit of work for the cleaning staff there ;)

New Year's Eve for €150 was completely unacceptable! Last year, the food was better and more varied for less money. Unfortunately, it was only lukewarm. There were no signs indicating what was in the food. You had to guess. The DJ couldn't manage to adapt to the guests on his own. We'll never party there again, and we're not alone in that opinion!

The two of us were there on a Saturday and were seated in the winter garden. The music was subtle, modern, and themed – absolutely fantastic. We haven't eaten this well in a long time. Everything was spot on. Finely presented, perfectly seasoned, and the atmosphere in the individual dishes was truly impressive. But what really stands out is the outstanding and attentive service. From the wine and food recommendations to the service at the beginning and end. We'll definitely be back.

It's a beautiful and appealing restaurant. My dish, SOSLU KUZU KAVURMA, roasted pieces of lamb with creamy vegetables and bulgur, wasn't a culinary highlight. The price of €25.50 is clearly too high.

We are guests of the 1st hour. Whenever we were there, be it just for a cozy evening or for the New Year's Eve parties, we were always warmly welcomed. Differences in the courts were always addressed. Since we like to eat slowly and with a little more time between courses, this was also taken into account. I think it's really great that the vegetables don't get overcooked. Whatever we have ordered so far has been excellent. We always enjoy coming back and look forward to our next visit with you.

We hadn't been to the Pala for a long time and had a more special reason to come back! The first impression was already indicative of the evening and what was to follow! There was still one table occupied apart from us, that didn't change, we should find out why that is probably the case. We ordered a bottle of red wine and asked for a recommendation of two grape varieties (55.00 EUR and 99.50 EUR) because we didn't know which one we had ordered the last few times. The waiter's comment: "Well, I know which wine I ordered, but if you consume 2-3 different bottles a week, you can lose track!" We ordered a starter platter for two and grilled octopus, the lamb fillet and the lamb skewer with side dishes suggested by the waiter ("So I would take the lamb skewer instead of the cod, if it doesn't taste good, I'll eat it!"), a bottle of red wine, two glasses of champagne and a bottle of still water! First came the "little" greeting from the kitchen, followed by the appetizer platter, then we waited in vain for the octopus (it was forgotten in the stress!), We waited and waited until the main courses came, the lamb fillet was edible but far from the quality we were used to from the Pala, the lamb skewer was inedible! I changed the dish for my wife's sake and had to find out why the lamb skewer was drowned in the tomato sauce, the meat was burnt and inedible and the side dishes were cold!!! I complained about this to the "temporary waiter" (the waiter who welcomed us had now finished work!) Despite the plate full of lamb skewers, there was no reaction. Service decreased as the evening progressed. After the red wine was poured over the tablecloth by the waitress while refilling the glass and was hastily picked up with a paper towel. The rest of the evening was up to us to fill the glasses! After much deliberation, we were given puff pastry as compensation, but we politely declined the drink on the house! The female service person tried everything to save the evening, and we rewarded her with a tip. All in all, we are extremely disappointed and will avoid the Pala in the future. Normally the rating should be even worse, but the building and the interior design alone are convincing and have led to an even more positive rating!

We celebrated our civil wedding at Pala 1581 and were very satisfied. The separate area is very nicely designed and the service was very good throughout the evening/night. The food was very good and nothing was missing. We recommend the Pala!

Super unfriendly employees. We only received our food after 2 hours and after asking 3 times. The employees walk past you even though you want to order. You sit down and only receive the card after half an hour. After ordering meze and the main course, we received our meze almost half an hour later. Our food didn't arrive after 2 hours of waiting. When asked, an outrageous statement was made: “You wanted meze and the main course together?!” This statement was in defense of the employee so as not to acknowledge his own guilt. We were never asked if everything was okay or if we would like anything else. We were just ignored the entire time. After asking again about the food, another statement came that the food should be there in a few minutes. After waiting again for over 15 minutes, the food still wasn't there. After personal consultation with the chef, the food was taken away with a waiting time of 2 hours. The shop is a 1/10 with all the trimmings. Don't waste your precious time there!

Bad. Warm and non-carbonated draft beer. That says it all. Every snack bar has more to offer on the menu. That's what it looked like. Neighboring table. Didn't even want to try it. There are better options in the area .hasn't changed. We were there for the third time now.

Great restaurant with a great ambience! Very attentive service. All of this is only trumped by the food. We had seared salmon with basil mashed potatoes, baby spinach and quinoa. The dish was draped lovingly and visually extremely appealing. Taste wise 6/5 stars. We haven't eaten such delicious food in a long time. All in all, we can only recommend this restaurant and will happily eat there again ourselves.

We would be well served. The menu is not very extensive. But we were 4 people with 4 different dishes and all were good, and our standards are not low.

The food is to die for, the spices are perfectly balanced, it is beautifully presented and the selection is exquisite. The service is more than accommodating and the waiters are attentive and friendly. You can sit nicely in the winter garden with the lights dimmed. The perfect place for a romantic evening for two or a nice family evening.

Were there for the second time now and it was great again. The food simply tastes great and the atmosphere is simply nice (finally chairs that you can sit on for a long time) and the service is A1 (I was brought toothpicks without saying anything because I was desperately trying to get something out of them.) So definitely a recommendation from me!
