Good price, very fast service, good food selection. A little more spice would be good.

I only recently discovered this restaurant and I've really become a fan. The lahmacun is incredibly fresh and tastes absolutely amazing. You can tell they make everything themselves. The staff are always so welcoming. The complimentary tea while we waited was a particularly thoughtful and hospitable gesture. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

I bought a nice Mercimek this morning at 10 and the two people at the counter served me so kindly and nicely that I can now start the day with a smile.

We were only there briefly, just wanted to grab a quick bite before the concert in Hanover. (We drove from Bremen). We only had doner kebabs. They were very good 👍 and much cheaper than in Bremen and the surrounding area. They also had tea and baklava. Everything was perfect 👌 we were well fueled before the Luciano concert 😃😄😅

Thanks to Chef Taha Usta, everything was perfect. Taha Usta is one of the best in this business, I recommend it to everyone. 👍👍👍

I haven't had such a delicious doner kebab plate for €12 in ages. Plenty of tasty meat, a good-sized portion of fresh salad, and fantastic fries. And instead of being smothered in runny garlic sauce, it was topped with a generous dollop of delicious, creamy tzatziki... fantastic! I also enjoyed a freshly tapped beer. Besides the usual vegetarian options of Turkish cuisine, there was a small additional menu. They offered pasta with fresh vegetables. A good portion for €9.90, very tasty! The waiter even offered complimentary tea or schnapps after the meal.

The food is delicious, the staff is polite and well-intentioned. I especially recommend the chicken soup. I came in 2023 and will return in 2025 for chicken soup.

I went there and ordered two lamb dürüms. The meat was awful. There was an extreme amount of gristle in it. Unfortunately, it felt more like rubber when I chewed it. I ended up spitting out more than swallowing. It's the only kebab shop for miles around in this part of town, so it was quite busy.

Last night, my boyfriend and I ordered two doner kebabs. The middle-aged man who worked there was very rude to us and made us both feel very uncomfortable. I will never go there again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

The service was very polite. That's about all the positive feedback we got! What a shame! I can't understand why there have to be food scraps under the fryer table. When so many people are working behind the counter, it's standard practice to sweep up regularly, as things can always fall down! I could see under the work tables from my table, which wasn't great! I immediately brought it up politely and they responded right away! But all they said was, "We clean it properly every evening!" 🧼 That's no good if it already looks so dirty in the afternoon, and I'm not talking about just 3-4 fries! 🍟 Do there really no hygiene regulations in Hanover?! And unbelievably, two men from the kitchen or somewhere similar then jumped into the area of ​​the grill skewers wearing flip-flops!! 😖 Very appetizing! Aside from the occupational safety concerns!!! But apparently, that's not a problem or even possible in Hanover!! For us, there are too many reasons not to give a good recommendation! But everyone has to decide for themselves what they value! And as I said, the service was the best thing about the place.

I have to say, this is one of the smallest doner kebabs I've ever eaten. The taste wasn't great either, unfortunately. There's no need to be upset about eating here. On the other hand, you didn't miss out on anything by going somewhere else.

What made the visit particularly special, however, was the friendliness and attentiveness of Chef Mustafa, who greeted us with a smile and personally looked after us. To top it all off, he even offered us baklava and traditional Turkish tea as a lovely touch – a truly delightful surprise. A place we can definitely recommend – great food, warm service, and genuine hospitality. 🇹🇷🍽️👏

While the prices aren't cheap, they're absolutely fair for the quality. We were there last night and didn't have much time. We were greeted warmly and immediately mentioned that we were short on time. Our order was taken promptly, and they accommodated our special requests. The food arrived very quickly. It was really delicious. The pizza was excellent. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to eat when they even offered us tea. If we didn't live so far away, we would definitely come more often. Very friendly staff. Thank you!

The Istanbul Restaurant at Thie 1 in Hanover offers fresh, delicious Turkish cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. In addition to classics like doner kebabs, pide, and grilled specialties, there's also a good selection of pizzas and fresh salads. The excellent lentil soup, served with fresh lemon, is particularly recommended – simply delicious. The food arrives quickly, and on warm evenings, the outdoor area invites you to enjoy your meal al fresco. Fairly priced, delicious, and a reliable recommendation for uncomplicated, delicious cuisine.

The kebab was good, but there's no notice anywhere in the restaurant that only cash payments are accepted. It's only recommended to a limited extent for people who carry little cash.

I was here for my birthday with my closest friends. Because the service and everything else is perfect. I've been eating here frequently for a year now, tried every dish, and I have to say everything tastes excellent. Mustafa is always there and accommodates all requests. He definitely deserves a lot of praise for his work. I live a bit farther away, but the trip here is worth it. If you haven't been here yet, you should definitely try it. 10/5 stars if you could. The lighting is far too bright in the evenings, and the tables and chairs are very simple. Unfortunately, this doesn't create any atmosphere or coziness. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's been a long time since I've had a really good kebab. The rotating skewers alone looked really good when I ordered. And finally, there was no minced meat skewer. The salad was also nice and fresh. I ordered my kebab with rice, and the rice was really delicious. Unfortunately, I'm not from the area, but for anyone who wants to eat a really good kebab or great kebab meat, this is definitely the place to go.

The doner kebab parcel tastes so-so. Unlike in the past, there's hardly any meat in it anymore. What a pain in the ass.

The food was truly excellent – flavorful and of high quality. Unfortunately, the overall experience was spoiled by the attitude of the woman at the counter. She was unfriendly, unwelcoming, and had a visibly irritated and closed-off demeanor. She even spoke to me aggressively when telling me they didn’t accept credit cards. Thankfully, the chef stepped in kindly, explained the situation calmly, and directed me to the ATM just across the street. It’s a real shame that such great food was overshadowed by such poor service.

I am very disappointed with the service I received. The woman at the checkout was particularly rude, with a disrespectful and unprofessional tone. This lack of courtesy is unacceptable, especially in a place that is supposed to welcome customers. I hope that steps will be taken to improve the welcome and service.

The positive reviews here are difficult for me to understand. None of the positive commenters have eaten kebab in Turkey? The kebab definitely doesn't melt in your mouth. It has a rubbery meat consistency. I think that the people who made positive comments definitely have no taste. and it smells like meat. Well-marinated meat prepared without breaking the cold chain will never smell. The seating areas are 70% good. If you sit further back, you will smell a strong toilet smell while eating.

The service was very nice and quick and asking if everything was okay also came across as very positive. The music in the background would be an advantage if it was more international. And what's not nice at all is the smoke

Unfortunately, the food is not worth the money - unfriendly service and food that neither fills you up nor tastes particularly good. You can really only eat there in an emergency. I will never go there again. It's better to spend your money somewhere else where you can get a little more quality and quantity. The kebab is served with hardly any sauce and the individual ingredients are simply pressed into the bread without paying attention to distribution and edibility. Terrible store and not customer oriented at all.

I love this store. I don't like writing a bad review. But I don't want others to have the same fate as me. Were there 2 weeks ago. Delicious salad to take away. The beans tasted a bit strange, but I blamed it on the herbs because I'd never caught anything before. Pretty soon after the salad I had stomach cramps. I never have that. The fact was that I was sick for 10 days. And the stomach is still not okay. That's too bad. I will therefore avoid this shop and will now be much more careful with others too! Stomach pain is no fun. Sorry for the review. Maybe next time you can test the food yourself before putting it on display, that will save you from bad reviews. Unfortunately it's no longer my favorite kebab. Too bad.

I just spontaneously wanted to get a kebab from the kebab man but then saw the restaurant. Decided for a kebab plate. Very tasty meat (not a run-of-the-mill kebab snack), thin, delicious bread with it. Great in terms of taste and service and friendly 😊 I will definitely visit again when I'm in the corner.

We have been to Istanbul several times, most of the staff are nice, although there is one who comes across as very arrogant. The food is average, was once much better and the bulgur salad was once great. The gentleman who freshly made the salad is long gone...unfortunately. We used to go there regularly. The toilets also leave a lot to be desired, if the boss could take care of that. The boss himself is a very nice man!!!

The restaurant is small and loud. The staff is very nice, but quickly seems overwhelmed and hectic when there are more visitors. Orders are forgotten or arrive very late. The food is okay, the kebab is average. The meat was well seasoned, unfortunately the sauces didn't taste good at all.

It was our first time with you because we come from Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Despite the fact that there was a lot to do, we had a warm welcome with a cup of tea. The food was delicious and, in our opinion, exceeded all of our taste rankings! Everything was fresh, warm and the portions were really more than enough. Wir haben Döner zum mitnehmen bestellt. Das Fleisch war leider für meinen Geschmack ein wenig dunkel. Dafür waren die Speisen sehr geschmackvoll. Die Lokalität ist eher ein Restaurant als eine Dönerbude.
