I am particularly disappointed with the service here. The guests are asked out before the meal is even finished. I can understand that the next guests are already waiting, but what I cannot understand is that guests are being urged to leave even though their drink and dessert have not yet been consumed. In addition, the card terminal has already been placed on the table.

I ordered an ice cream ball. I ordered matcha flavor and other flavors. It cost 5.5 for one ice cream ball. It tasted like ice cream and was not delicious.

The chicken is halal! , We have been customers at Namu for years, the Korean cuisine simply has one of the best dishes ever, the food there is authentic and VERY tasty. The desserts are also super delicious.

It has immediately become one of our favorite places in Dortmund! The food is really delicious and the portions are reasonable. I would definitely recommend sharing dishes. For the two of us, two main courses are enough (there is also room for a dessert). The service is super friendly and you feel very welcome. Even if you come spontaneously, we will try to arrange something (reservation is recommended). The ambience is also very pleasant and lively. Definitely worth a visit!

Very good food at reasonable prices

The portion was plentiful and the Osam Bulgogi was very delicious. I asked for it to be spicy, and it was reasonably spicy. The kimchi stew was similar to soft tofu stew, and I enjoyed it.

There are so many rice and dishes! I have eaten Korean food many times abroad, but for the first time, they gave me so much that I had leftovers. Osam bulgogi is really delicious!!! The taste of kimchi stew is somewhere between soft tofu stew and If you are thinking about the menu, definitely eat Osam Bulgogi!! I think they also have a discounted lunch menu for weekday lunches.

Super delicious food and incredibly nice service, a little more expensive than some other Asian cuisine restaurants, but also an incomparable range of dishes. Always worth a recommendation!

We were so impressed by Restaurant Namu. The food was incredible, everything homemade and authentic. The bulgogi was especially delicious. The lunch menu was super affordable, high quality, and a large portion. The service was also amazing, everyone was so friendly. The only thing I could’ve wished was kimchi included in the meal price, but besides that it was fantastic. We’ll most definitely be going back soon!

Unfortunately, I can't judge whether the food is authentic or not. But what I can judge is the taste, service and the location. The food was exceptional for us. We've never eaten anything like it. Everything tasted very good and the service was great. But the location didn't invite you to linger. We would have liked a little quieter and nicer light. Nevertheless, I want to give it five stars. The next time we are in Dortmund we will definitely come back.

The food was incredibly delicious, we tried something new with Korean cuisine and definitely didn't regret it! The service staff was particularly friendly and made you feel very welcome. The chicken was 10/10 great sauce and fried nice and crispy. The bulgogi were not only a large portion, but also deliciously fried with bean sprouts and other vegetables, which, however, did not taste too dominant. Can't wait to eat there again!

We were very happy yesterday. The food was very tasty. The waitresses were quick and very friendly. The price-performance ratio is also right. What more could you want?

I was staying in the city of Hagen and was searching for a Korean restaurant with my friends. The nearest one with good reviews was in Dortmund, a 30 min drive by car so not too far. We were lucky since we did not make any reservation. Another reservation did not show up so we were able to dine here. They are real Koreans so it is nice to practice your skills there, they are very polite and helpful! We ordered Mandu, Bulgogi-kimbap, Bulgogi with rice and K-Fried chicken Spicy. The Mandu was served with 4 pieces of which two were with meat and vegetables and two with Kimchee and meat. They both tasted very good and were well presented. The Bulgogi-Kimbap was served as the complete roll which was sliced and the endings were presented as well. Inside was spinach, pickled rettig, bulgogi meat, carrots, eggs and rice and seaweed around sprinkled with sesame seeds. It tasted very good. The Bulgogi with rice was well prepared beef in very thin slices.The marinara sauce was well embedded in the meat, so it was very tasty, not too sweet, a little bit salty which was nice. Th K-Fried chicken was well prepared and very crispy. The spicy (gojujang) sauce however was very salty which was a dominating taste for this serving. This was a disappointment. Not to my taste. Oh there was no banchan served which was a disappointment as well. Overall I was very content with this restaurant and next time I am in Dortmund for eating Korean, I would definitely come again.

Anyone who wants to wait over an hour for raw meat in a restaurant that is almost empty, with waitresses who can't cope with their lives and are very unfriendly. Then you've come to the right place!

Back to Namu after a while, the price and quality stay the same - the best of the area. Lovely boss as well. Coming back next week to try out jajangmyeon

Very nice restaurant with a view of the street and the staff are extremely friendly. The price was a bit high, unfortunately there was no simple breaded chicken with rice. The rice was also a bit cold and the chicken unfortunately wasn't to my liking.

It's a pity that lunchboxes can only be eaten at lunch. The pork cutlet is served with a curry-based sauce, not the pork cutlet sauce found in Korean Chinese restaurants. There is always plenty of food, so there are times when we take it to-go.

I can only agree with all the good reviews. I was there with a friend and we got a table straight away, but if you are more than two people you should definitely make a reservation The food is incredible and also authentic, great selection, great taste and fair prices (we paid around €25 per person for the main course, dessert and drink) We had kimchi soup, kimbap and mandu. Everything vegan! Everything was really great, especially the homemade kimchi (which you can also take away). But the kimbap really beats anything I've ever tried before!! And the ice cream for dessert was just as great, we had green tea and macha ice cream but they have so many other varieties. I've had Korean food before but rarely this good! The staff is super nice and quick Simply really brilliant and we would love to come back ☺️🩷

The service is friendly and the ambience is mediocre. The food portions are relatively large, but my beef was quite stringy and a bit tough, so I didn't like it. The side salad was honestly a joke. The prices are mediocre.

Very courteous and friendly service. There were three of us there and we were very full afterwards. The food is fantastic and is served still hot. When I was served the bulgogi, the broth was still bubbling and it was steaming (the eye eats too). The portions are large and if you can't finish everything, you can have the rest packed away. The ambience isn't as spacious, so you end up sitting closer to other people than you might be used to in other restaurants, but you're willing to accept that for the quality of the food. We will definitely eat there again.

Namu ist mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant! Ich liebe deren Fried Chicken so so sehr und auch an das Kimbap kommt kein anderes Restaurant ran. Ich war schon in so vielen koreanischen Restaurants und keiner konnte Namu übertreffen. Ich probiere mich gerne an neue Gerichte und jedes Mal bin ich auf Wolke 7! Deren Bibimbap ist großartig, aber auch die Fleisch und Fisch Gerichte wie zum Beispiel Bulgogi oder Steak ist Top! Tteokbokki nicht zu scharf und ich könnte wirklich ewig weiter schwärmen! Das Personal ist ebenfalls unglaublich freundlich und goldig. Ich komme hier immer wieder gerne hin!

I don’t wanna exaggerate but when i’m telling you this place has the most mouth-watering, flavorsome korean food I’ve ever been in. I mean sure there are lots of great korean restaurants here in Germany, but I would always come back here because it is THAT tasty.

The food is absolutely top. Fairly large portions, good selection. The only point of criticism concerns the city of Dortmund: there are no free parking spaces anywhere. 12 minutes 50 cents for Dortmund haha. This concept has brought down all inner cities so far.

Unfortunately, our main course didn't come all at the same time, so the rice was already cold when the meat arrived. But that was the only negative point.

The two of us had dinner at Namu. There is a great selection of Asian and Korean dishes and drinks. The food tasted very good and fresh. We had gimbap as a starter. They were extremely tasty. A good alternative to Japanese sushi. For the main course we had Korean fried chicken. It was very juicy and not too greasy. The chili sauce went perfectly with the dish. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back another time.

If you want Korean with food and language practice... great. Of course they also speak German there and the menu is also in German. But there is also authentic Korean cuisine there. Spicy items are expelled. And there is also Korean alcohol. Top. I'll be back ..!!!

Ich muss zuerst erwähnen, dass ich selbst Koreaner bin und mit dem kulinarischen Essen ( in Korea geboren ) aufgewachsen bin. Das die Vor-Suppe fast zeitgleich mit dem Hauptgericht serviert wird und eventuell nicht zu heiß genug ist, hat damit zu tun, dass die Koreaner die Reisgerichte mit der Suppe zum herunterspülen nutzen. Also erst ein Löffel Bibimbap mit lecker Kimchi und ein kleine Suppe hinterher. Wer die koreanische Küche ausprobieren oder als Koreaner lecker authentisches koreanisches Essen, essen möchte, kann ich nur dieses Restaurant empfehlen. Daumen hoch und weiter so.

We visited Dortmund for the Euro Cup for the first time and were craving Korean food. The food at this restaurant transported us to Seoul with its authenticity in every bite, complemented perfectly by a sip of soju. The dining experience was excellent and truly unforgettable. The service was friendly and prompt, adding to our enjoyment. We will definitely be coming back.

The Korean food is delicious 😋 There is something for everybody! Vegetarians have a good choice here! The vegetables are very fresh. The meat is very well prepared. The service is attentive, fast and friendly. I recommend table reservations for groups of 3 or more.

Never eaten Korean food before and this was a phenomenal experience. The service was great, the staff were so kind and most importantly the food was delicious!

Not recommended for travelers. While dining here, we were insulted in Korean by a waitress because we ate late, which delayed their closing. The other employees were very good, only one waitress used bad words. We won't come back again. To the French tourists who come here, you must finish your food quickly, otherwise you will be insulted. After I write this, our friends meet the girl with her four or five friends at the train station, she is angry and told us that our behaviors are rude and we should delete this comment. Well done. We had a lovely dinner here, consisting of kimchi pajun, kalbi jim and vegetarian bibimbap. The food is high quality, authentic and flavorful. I was missing the usual small plates (banchan, but perhaps this is not common in European Korean restaurants. Not even a small portion of kimchi. The service was well-meaning, but our soup never arrived (until I canceled it) and at the end of the meal, they charged us for another table's orders (and then rectified). Overall, I would definitely recommend for a taste of Korea in Germany.

It was my sister's birthday and we wanted to celebrate her nicely. She baked a cake herself and brought it with her. But after we ate for €150 (including starters and desert), we weren't allowed to eat the cake, sing or light a candle. We even offered to pay, which they didn't accept either. Well, the birthday girl went back home sad. A very nice memory has left this restaurant. And no, they didn't announce it beforehand (otherwise we would have gone somewhere else). We asked, they said, "That's not normally possible, but we're allowing it this time." After that they didn't do it. (They wanted us to eat with them) Food was ok.

Food like in Korea, service polite and friendly like in Korea, ambience takes some getting used to for Europeans but, there is no other way to put it, like in Korea. 😉👍

I went to Restaurant Namu with colleagues without a reservation. Since we got in very quickly after opening, we still had a selection of tables. The restaurant filled up very quickly, so a reservation wouldn't be a bad idea. The service is very nice and friendly. The ambience had a rustic feel with themed partition walls that are leftovers from the Corona regulations. Basically not annoying, but noticeable. The food overall looked very good and my order of Kong Bulgogi was plenty and also very tasty. I can highly recommend it. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the higher segment, but this can be viewed transparently on the website in advance. It definitely won't be the last time I eat there.

To be on the safe side, reservations should be made on weekends, as there is a lot going on, especially at peak times. You can tell this from the employees, but they are extremely polite. We can recommend the menus on the last page, as you can get an impression of many different dishes and the prices are extremely fair. The dishes are very well coordinated and delicious. The menu also offers a very large selection of vegetarian dishes, and there is also a purely vegetarian menu. The soybean soup was too salty for me, but that shouldn't hurt the rating. :)

Amazing and delicious Korean food, one of the best Asian restaurants in Dortmund. The place is quite crowded, don’t forget to make a reservation.

In addition to the super delicious food with fair prices, you definitely have to praise the service. The waitresses were all very friendly and the food we ordered was prepared with hardly any waiting time (Tuesday lunchtime). The furnishings and music were also more than homely and appropriate. Tips should be brought in cash! :)

The food is delicious but there are few places

I don't know if today was a bad day, but my three friends and I felt extremely sick after eating (Korean Fried Chicken). The chicken was just too raw. It's a shame for the 18€... I also find it inappropriate for guests to bring dogs into a restaurant without the staff saying anything.

Wir hatten uns auf frisches, leckeres asiatisches Essen gefreut! Und auf ein nettes Ambiente- es war leider auch nicht zu finden. Zumindest der Service war freundlich und bemüht. echt schade, wir hatten das Restaurant in besserer Erinnerung.
