Restaurant Namaste in Hagen

We received a warm welcome and got a table without any problems. The waiters were very friendly, everything was clean and tidy. The food was truly incredibly delicious and served traditionally. Everything was fresh, hot, and the meat tender. I personally find the ambiance in the back room a bit too clean and lacking in comfort. The music was too loud for my taste and distracting. It was quite empty, so they could turn it down a bit. Unfortunately, they don't serve beer or alcohol, which shortens the meal considerably. Payment by debit card is not possible, but PayPal or direct bank transfer are. If you don't have one, you should go to an ATM beforehand. Otherwise, the restaurant is recommended.

Wow! Such good service, we even got extra rice to wash away the sauce! Everything was delicious, the butter chicken was really tender! Everything was great value for money, and the food and service were great, too! If I'm ever in Hagen again, I'll eat here!

We had it delivered. First, I ordered mild and got spicy. Then the rice was served 4 times instead of 2, and it was bread that wasn't bread. The delivery person was overwhelmed and didn't give the right change. I probably won't order again, which is a shame. We actually like Indian food.

The food was OK. It wasn't a taste revelation but still delicious. The service was nice and quick. However, we were the only guests that evening. The ambience, on the other hand, has something of a waiting room with Indian accessories. Bare, empty and unfortunately not very clean. In particular, the path to the sanitary facilities and the sanitary facilities themselves were pretty dirty.

The service was very nice and quick. We found the food itself to be rather average. According to the menu you could choose the level of spiciness, which is what we did... the dishes were all evenly "flaff". Everything was fine so far, but overall nothing special for us, or we've had much better experiences in other restaurants.

They spruced up the restaurant a bit, but unfortunately in our presence, which brought with it a strong smell of solvents. Not a good combination when it comes to food. An enrichment for Hagen! Addendum after four years: On a Friday lunchtime I walk into an empty restaurant with my mother. The radiators in the front area are being painted and we are led to the back room by a young man. However, we were very well entertained there and the food was very tasty! Chicken Madras and lamb with spinach. Lassi and chapati as a starter with delicious sauces.

Unbelievable, what a great meal! I bought the menu for 2 for 45 euros. All for myself and I tried everything and was very enthusiastic about all the delicious things. I was in such a bad mood because I was sick but the food made everything better and saved my day. It was said in 1 hour (which was completely ok for the large order) but it arrived sooner. Definitely a favorite :)

The food was delicious but I sat on the toilet for 3 hours at night... While we were sitting in the restaurant, guys kept coming in with big buckets. One can only imagine what they brought... My girlfriend was there a few weeks later and she felt really bad afterwards (diarrhea etc.)

We received a very friendly welcome and courteous service throughout the evening. There was a large selection of vegetarian dishes. As a welcome we were given lentil bread with three different dips. For starters we ordered the potato samos and for the main course we ordered curry dishes with naan bread and rice. Overall, the food was exceptionally tasty and excellently seasoned. The atmosphere could have been a little more upscale, but it was quite cozy. Good value for money. Thank you!

A small starter with three different sauces, very tasty! Food came quickly (about 10 minutes) and was very tasty. What I like is that there are a lot of vegan options. The service was very friendly and asked during the meal whether everything was OK or if I was missing something. You feel very comfortable and want to do everything right for the customer. The portion is very sufficient, one main course fills you up very well and the price is really very fair. Payment was also possible via Paypal, very good! My only negative point is the cleanliness of the toilets, I didn't feel particularly comfortable there. If you want Indian food, you have to go here!

Ordered online here for the first time. Our food came super on time. We had Chicken Butter, Chicken Banana, Garlic Nan and Gulab Jamun. Due to the size of the portions, we haven't managed to try the Gulab Jamun yet. We are very enthusiastic about the food and will order here again.

Not typically Indian. I know chicken saag with leaf spinach. It was simply delivered with creamed spinach. The garlic naan doesn't really taste like garlic. I won't order there anymore. I've been waiting for this for weeks now. 2 stars deducted for the service. Actually, you shouldn't give any stars here at all.

Ordered there for delivery for the first time today. Ordering was quick, the food was hot and the portions were huge. I had tandoori grill mix 3 types of meat with rice and bread, the meat was juicy and well seasoned, the bread was nice and fluffy. My wife had tandoori scampis with rice and bread, here too the bread was nice and fluffy and the scampis were well seasoned. we will definitely order here again

At least I didn’t feel like Indian food even though I inform what are my expectations. They don’t serve any liquor and it was a surprise when I took my Finnish colleagues with me and they wanted to have liquor.

Schon etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Restaurant. Hygienetechnisch darf man nicht ganz genau hingucken. Das Essen war an sich nett angerichtet, die Portionen groß. Geschmacklich hat es uns leider nicht so überzeugt. Die Garnelen bei meinem biryani waren leider super zäh und wir hatten beide nach unserem Essen einen ziemlich dicken Bauch was wir sonst bei Essen nicht haben. Es war auch relativ viel Besuch und viele Leute scheinen hier zu bestellen. Tut uns leid, dass unsere Erfahrung nicht so gut war.

Schmeckt sehr gut und Preise sind angemessen. Die Speisen sind sehr besonders und schön gewürzt. Die Atmosphäre ist auch sehr schön. Der Name ‚‚Namaste'' bedeutet auf Hindi Hallo und wirkt sehr einladend. Weiter so! Empfehle ich ganz klar weiter! 👍🏻

Eine absolute Empfehlung. Jedes Gericht besonders gut. Eine Geschmacksexplosion der gleichen. Ich könnte hier jeden Tag essen. Echt zu empfehlen.

Immer pünktlich, immer lecker und heiß! Als eine Stammkundin bestelle ich super gerne dort. Die Portionen sind auch groß und Man bekommt sogar immer wieder kleine Extras, wenn man öfter bestellt.

Das Restaurant Namaste bietet eine durchschnittliche kulinarische Erfahrung mit einigen Mängeln, die das Gesamterlebnis beeinträchtigen. Mein Besuch hier war nicht schlecht, aber es gibt definitiv Raum für Verbesserungen. Das Essen im Restaurant war in Ordnung, aber leider nicht wirklich gut. Es gab eine Vielzahl von Gerichten zur Auswahl, aber ich war nicht vollkommen zufrieden mit dem Geschmack und der Authentizität der Speisen. Besonders enttäuschend fand ich die Rindfleischgerichte, die meiner Meinung nach nicht typisch indisch sind. Sie passten nicht in die kulinarische Tradition des Landes und wirkten eher wie eine unpassende Ergänzung auf der Speisekarte. Die Bedienung war ein weiterer Aspekt, der mir nicht gefallen hat. Das Personal schien unaufmerksam und distanziert, was dazu führte, dass ich mich als Gast nicht besonders willkommen fühlte. Was das Ambiente betrifft, war das Lokal leider enttäuschend. Die Einrichtung war einfach und uninspiriert, und es fehlte an indischen Elementen oder einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Fazit: Insgesamt bietet das Restaurant Namaste eine durchschnittliche kulinarische Erfahrung, jedoch mit einigen enttäuschenden Aspekten wie dem unaufmerksamen Service und fehlendem Ambiente. Wer nach einem authentischen und angenehmen indischen Restaurant sucht, sollte andere Optionen zu erkunden.

Never eaten so bad before. Starter, puff pastry and content Lam, completely dried out, burned in de freezer ? Then the main course, also everything ( meat ) much to dry, same cause as the starter ? Soup was runny and tasty, conclusion much too improve. M and 5 friends.

Das Essen hat mir ganz gut geschmeckt, allerdings hat es im Restaurant immer schlimmer nach Verbranntem gerochen so dass wir letztendlich fluchtartig das Restaurant verlassen haben.

Siehe Titel meiner Bewertung. Leider kein Vergleich mehr zu dem, was hier früher auf den Tisch kam. Selbst die Kaltgetränke (soweit vorhanden) waren lauwarm.

Man merkt den Besitzerwechsel, haben immer gerne bei Namaste bestellt aber was gerade war ging überhaupt nicht. Der Bote konnte nicht mal auf 40 € wechseln bei einem Betrag von 34,40 € dann wurde er frech, habe dann bei Namaste angerufen da hatte ich erst eine unfreundliche Dame am Telefon und dann anscheinend den Chef. Warte nun das ein anderer Fahrer mir das Wechselgeld bringt was mir am Telefon versichert wurde. Hatten eine Vorspeiseplatte für zwei die war in Ordnung aber ziemlich klein, als Hauptgericht hatten wir Chicken Chilli Masala und Chana Masala. Beides schmeckte nicht mal ansatzweise so wie wir es von Namaste gewohnt waren. Die Zutaten waren frisch, das ist auch das einzige was ich für gut bewerten kann. Bei Namaste werden wir garantiert nicht noch einmal bestellen. Mittlerweile sind es fast 2 Stunden die wir auf das Restgeld warten,am Telefon sagte man uns das es 20 Minuten dauern wird bis der Fahrer hier ist. Schade 👎

Wir gehen seit Jahren sehr gerne ins Namaste, weil das Essen wirklich lecker ist. Die Portionen waren immer reichlich und das Personal freundlich. Das ist auch nach dem Besitzerwechsel im September noch so. Allerdings sind seitdem jegliche alkoholische Getränke von der Speisekarte gestrichen. Bei der Bestellung waren wir - und offenbar auch die meisten anderen Gäste - entsprechend überrascht. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, der neue Chef ließe keinen Alkohol mehr ausschenken. Schade! Das wird dem Restaurant leider ganz und gar nicht gut tun. Das Essen hat 5 Sternchen verdient, aber das Komplettpaket eines gemütlichen Restaurantabends verliert leider deutlich.

Wir waren seit einigen Jahren Stammgäste im Namsste und bis zum letzten Besuch immer sehr zufrieden. Neuerdings ist ein neuer Besitzer vor Ort. Bei der Getränkebestellung wurde uns gesagt, dass es kein Bier gäbe. Gut, dann trinken wir eben ein Glas Wein, sagten unsere Freunde. Auch diese Bestellung wurde zurückgewiesen. Es gibt in diesem Restaurant keinen Alkohol im Ausschank… Die Bedingungen meinte, dass der neue Chef keinen Alkohol verkaufen möchte. Schafe, es wsr früher immer sdhr gemütlich dort

Wir waren zum 1.Mal in diesem Restaurant. Wir haben uns eine Lahori Platte bestellt. (kleines Anzeichen dafür, das es sich wohl um ein pakistanisches Restaurant handelt) Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt, das Fleisch war von guter Qualität. Was ein wenig störte war der konfuse Service (Wir hatten die Suppen getauscht und es kam noch eine andere) bei den Vorspeisen handelte es sich nicht um Gemüse Pakora, sondern um ein frittiertes Teig Mischmasch, bei der Platte würde das Raita und das Mango Chutney vergessen, die Samosa waren nur 2 an der Zahl (laut Karte 3) - Erklärung: sie sind halt groß! Wenn das Hauptgericht nicht so gut geschmeckt hätte, wäre ich bei 3 Punkten angekommen. Ach ja, die Dame des Hauses ist eher schlecht gelaunt denn eine gute Gastgeberin .
