The quality is terrible. The schnitzel is gray and sour, to boot. The kitchen says that's how it should be. We sent everything back and actually had to pay full price for the rotten food. Absolutely outrageous. We've never eaten so badly.

I'd love to give it 2.5 stars, but it's impossible. This is the kind of restaurant where they have everything; none of it is truly great, but no matter what you're craving, you'll find it on the menu. Unfortunately, the prices are now beyond belief; €18+ for a burger patty with a bit of salad, a fried egg, and a small handful of fries is quite a statement. €6+ for "homemade soda" (juice with water) is also a statement. Therefore, I can't recommend it. I've kept the receipt in case I need to justify myself to Google, which unfortunately becomes more and more common.

Nice place to sit. Then the service was a disaster. We waited a very long time before we could order. Once we ordered, the coffee arrived quickly. But then paying was another disaster. The waiters argued with each other. If it took too long, the waiter told us to just leave with his colleague. We ended up waiting a long time and paying with someone else, who I think was also embarrassed by the terrible service. It's a shame, a great place to sit, but the service was terrible, and two cappuccinos and water were expensive.

Facts: We ordered for pickup for five people. The plaice was sold out, but we weren't informed by phone, so we couldn't decide which alternative we wanted until pickup. They also packed a BBQ burger instead of the Biggest Burger we ordered. Personal impression: The brioche bun was as hard as a potato bun, and I found the patty and chicken schnitzel to be dry. The vegetable stir-fry and fried potatoes as a side dish were fine.

I went there with my colleagues on Saturday evening. We were supposed to eat in Hamburg, but this restaurant is so damn good that we drove 50 minutes to Wedel. The waitress even said we smelled good—what service! If only she knew we'd been pouring perfume testers over ourselves at Douglas two hours earlier. But it was worth it!

The food is okay, but I find it very customer-unfriendly that card payments (despite generous tips!) are only accepted for amounts over €15. No exceptions. The fees are so high. Sorry, I can't understand that at all! Then please find a payment service provider with fair prices that won't rip you off! In the year 2025, I have absolutely no understanding of why customers should be bothered with such a restriction. Sorry.

Unfortunately, the cocktails aren't particularly convincing. I also don't understand the concept of serving them with sweets (marshmallows, apple rings, etc.). It's similar with the rest of the store. It's all about trying to make things happen instead of focusing on a clear concept and implementing it convincingly.

On Derby weekend we are guests at the Hotel Diamant and in the evening we have dinner across the street at Mühlenstraße. We are always happy to come back.

We had dinner at Mühlenstein for Father's Day. Upon entering, we immediately noticed the new staff, and we were greeted very warmly, with a charming sense of humor. All we can say is, we were absolutely thrilled with the staff, the very tall waiter 😉 with his quick-witted humor, and then the waitress. The food was also delicious. A great evening. I love coming here...the service is great, the food is delicious, and you can sit inside or outside...on chilly evenings, they even turn on the patio heater.

Unfortunately that was a sentence with X. Mom had invited us to Mühlenstein on the occasion of Mother's Day. Since I don't live in Wedel, I haven't visited the restaurant for years and won't be doing so again any time soon. We ordered our food around 2:20 p.m., and after asking several times, it arrived around 3:30 p.m. They should have told us when we ordered that it might take longer today instead of leaving us sitting there fuming for half the afternoon. Unfortunately, the quality of the food in no way justified the waiting time. I had panfish with fried potatoes. The fish was still ok, but the fried potatoes were terrible. The pieces were unusually large and sometimes cut too thickly, so that some of the potatoes were almost raw inside. The same with my mother's portion. She had roast beef that was full of tendons and so tough that she couldn't finish her portion. The 2nd star is for the service because the service remained friendly despite everything and there was a schnapps on the house at the end. But I also needed it afterwards. One of the waitresses then confessed to us that the kitchen was overwhelmed. The weather was nice and there were a lot of people out and about that Sunday. If you can't handle that, you should accept fewer reservations instead of scaring away the new guests with poor quality. The kitchen is the heart of gastronomy and it has failed badly today. There can't be more than one star overall for this.

Mega disappointing, we always enjoyed staying at Mühlenstein and booked a celebration in a separate room two years ago and everything was great. This time everything was terrible, whether it was the service or the food. Regarding the food: not enough and very bland - we ordered for 25 people, but then there were only 22 people and they were hardly full. 2 years ago it was always refilled and this time not at all. Not everyone even got some of the dessert! Regarding the service: last year it was very attentive and this year it wasn't there at all, you had to leave the room and beg to be allowed to order drinks. Apparently our requests for a drink and dessert were too much. Which I really can't understand and find impossible as we are all polite people. If it is perceived as strenuous that we wanted to have a drink and after an hour I asked if we could have dessert - then we may be strenuous. Our conclusion: we are very disappointed and will definitely not recommend the Mühlenstein for family celebrations.

We happened to be there for lunch. Ordered two great pizzas at a reasonable price. The pizzas were generously topped with good ingredients. The service was friendly. The price-performance ratio was very good.

Very, very tasty food, great service. The pizza bread with dip is a great starter. The cheese burgers with a brioche bun were also really good, but perhaps could have used a little more sauce. The fries were crispy and delicious. There were six of us there and all the starters and main courses came to the table at the same time, even though we had ordered across the board. Serving a spicy meal that isn't supposed to be spicy and no goodwill when returned - never again

We visited Mühlenstein twice last week as a large group. The first time, two of us didn't find the food very tasty. Nevertheless, we returned the next day because the restaurant has proven itself in seating and catering for larger groups. This time, however, we were so disappointed that none of us will be going back. The Angus Burger had a rock-hard bun, which was replaced upon complaint! A meat dish was bad (Wiener Schnitzel). Upon our complaint, the kitchen told us that it had already been sold several times and should therefore be eaten or left standing. When the friendly waitress offered us the opportunity to speak to the manager, and we agreed, the manager replied that he didn't have time at the moment and that we should come back tomorrow! The French fries we ordered because the schnitzel was inedible were also added to the bill! An arrogant, service-unfriendly attitude from management that will surely be detrimental to business sooner or later.

The buffet at brunch is great. But... it was too crowded, too hectic and you had to wait in line for a long time at the buffet... So the fun was a little less...

Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly in recent years. Six years ago, I wrote that the food here was delicious, no matter what you order. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gotten worse and worse over the past few years. I would really like to give it 0 stars. Today I ordered a burger. It came with rock-hard bread that was probably several days old. When I complained about the burger, the burger bun was replaced but returned with the comment that it was rustic bread. The burger was good after all. Unfortunately, it is not customary to shake the fruit juices. I ordered two KiBa (fruit juice bars) that were dotted with crumbs. Shortly after, my great-uncle's Wiener Schnitzel arrived. He tried the schnitzel and found the taste increasingly strange. After trying the schnitzel without breading, it was clear that the meat was bad. He had eaten about 1/4 of the schnitzel. When he complained about the schnitzel, it was returned to the kitchen without comment, as if it were part of his daily routine. There, the chef explained to the waitress that several schnitzels had already been sold that day and the quality was good. Furthermore, my great-uncle had already eaten two-thirds of the schnitzel. He said it was strange that this was only noticeable after two-thirds. My great-uncle was then offered the chance to have the schnitzel returned. He was told that a replacement or restocking would not be possible because two-thirds had already been eaten. When he declined, he was offered the opportunity to reorder something at his own expense. After repeated complaints about this unprofessional behavior, the waitress (who was not responsible for it) offered to call the manager, who had so far only been making arrangements. We gratefully accepted this offer. A short time later, the waitress returned and informed us that the manager was currently in discussion and that we could come back tomorrow. I've heard similar things from friends, acquaintances, and companies who have celebrated here. At parties, for example, the buffet was only refilled once and then ignored again, even though the contract stipulated otherwise. In conclusion, I can only say that the restaurant has deteriorated considerably. Both the Wiener Schnitzel and the fries were charged at full price. The waitresses are significantly more likely to stand between the chef and the guests. My recorded experience relates to only one visit. Similar experiences have occurred on previous visits at longer intervals.

Friendly service and delicious food What more could you want?

I visited the restaurant for the second time today. I quite like the atmosphere; it's cozy. You never had to wait long for the waitress, and they were friendly. Once, a drink I ordered was forgotten...but hey, it happens, it's no big deal. I've had mixed feelings about the food so far. The pizza I had the first time was great. And since it was a Thursday, and pizzas cost €12.50 after 6 p.m., the price was perfectly reasonable. Today I had a schnitzel with mushrooms. I wasn't impressed. It was rather blandly seasoned, the cream sauce was only lukewarm and just as bland as the schnitzel, and the salad was just a few leaves without any dressing, placed next to the schnitzel on the plate and looking a bit wilted. There was also a manageable portion of fries, but they were OK. I didn't think the price of just under €22 was commensurate with the service. I would have expected more for the money. Maybe it was just a bad day...but since I'll probably be going there regularly in the future, we'll see.

We met with 12 colleagues on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. This was my third time. I'd been very satisfied so far, which is why I suggested the Mühlenstein. But this time I was very disappointed. One meal was completely forgotten and wasn't served until 10 minutes after the others. A burger was ordered without bacon, but it was delivered with it. This dish also had to be remade and consequently arrived late at the table. At 9:15 p.m., we were asked to pay because the restaurant was about to close. We were very surprised, because the opening hours still state that it's open until 10 p.m. on Sundays. Since we had already paid for the meals but spontaneously decided on two lattes, I wanted to pay with my debit card again, as before. The waiter then told us that this wasn't possible because the amount was under 15 euros. This, too, isn't visible online, as the website only states that debit and credit cards are accepted, but no Minimum amount. Overall, both the service and the culinary quality were rather mediocre, something I hadn't experienced before. A shame for this evening.

So, overall, I recommend the restaurant...everything is really tasty and delicious. Service is great, the atmosphere is cozy - perfect. Prices are reasonable. The cocktails, well...they're the exception...I find them so-so.... Overall, though, it's a nice restaurant that I would take my friends to.

Unfortunately, I can't say anything good about it. I hope they were just having a bad day. My rump steak had, let's say, strong roasted flavors, but it wasn't seasoned. The service was disorganized and unfriendly. The Kaiserschmarrn and the tiramisu were great.

I was there for the first time today and I have to say that the food tasted great! The service staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is cozy and the food was ready quickly, even though there were more and more guests. Gladly again! The only point of criticism would be: To create a clearer map for allergens, especially “foods containing gluten”. This would make the visit easier for the guest as well as for the service staff.

I had the steak, everything was very good. Only the salad was more of a decoration without dressing.

If I had only tried pizza and cocktails, it would be 5 stars. But there was a lot of ready-made food for brunch, so I deducted a star for that. You can also sit outside very well if the weather permits. I find it comfortably furnished inside. It's a big restaurant, you shouldn't forget that and they've done a very good job of it, but the layout still creates a feeling of coziness. Parking is moderately good, there are 3 spaces and you can get lucky in the area. But the train station is right around the corner. The staff is very nice and you can never go wrong with an evening there. Everyone should find something there.

Nothing was prepared on site, but thanks to the quick table movement, a corresponding table was quickly set up. Parking in the underground car park is a bit difficult because it is quite tight. In addition, the TG is quite small. Definitely not all guests will find a place there. Delicious food at fair prices. The only downer is the possible misleading regarding the Kaiserschmarrn, which according to the menu contains colorings and acidulants. Then how can it be self-made? Maybe a misunderstanding, too bad. Nevertheless, the pizza is delicious and the tarte flambée is also highly recommended. We would like to come again. The service is very attentive and friendly!

Great restaurant with delicious food at fair prices

The restaurant and the service are top, but there is a need for action when it comes to both the food and the cocktails! A champion schnitzel with no less than two small pieces of champion for over €20 is already very questionable in terms of price. We ordered a few cocktails... one time they came with garnishes, the next time without... even the pope straw would have to be used for several cocktails... the mojito was missing the brown sugar... etc. I think with an average price of Something like that shouldn't happen for €10.

A very attractive restaurant. Very friendly service. You request the service using an LED cube on the table (the cube turns green), and you can also press when you want to pay (then the cube turns blue). Very convenient. The three of us ate there because we heard that the place wasn't bad. We arrived and had to wait 10 minutes until someone came to the table. For me there was the farmer’s breakfast. It didn't taste like anything, even with what felt like 10g of salt and pepper - tasteless. For my wife there was the grill plate. Seriously a burger bun was being sold as a minced steak and the meat was anything but enjoyable. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right front and back! So I'll leave my money somewhere else in the future.

There were two of us and without a reservation. Since it was during the week, we had no problem getting a nice table. The service was very nice and was always there straight away with the help of the lamp on the table. It works similarly to how it works on an airplane. You can call the service or indicate that you want to pay. First of all we had bread with olives and I have to admit that it has been a long time since I had such tasty olives, really great. For the main course we chose pizza from the very diverse menu. It was hot and well topped. Only the cheese was a bit too much and possibly the wrong one, so a point was deducted. Overall it was a nice evening and it probably won't be the last time.
