Bauernfrühstück war sehr lecker

Schöne Lage. Aber 2026 und bei den Preisen auf der Speisekarte nur Barzahlung anzubieten ist schon mutig. 50 Cent für ein Extra-Besteck… es gibt ja zum Glück genügend andere Locations in der Gegend, die gerne Gäste haben.

Guter Ort um Sterne zu beobachten

Alles wunderbar:Sehr freundliches Personal,leckere Gerichte und Kuchen,gute Preise und Parken auch sehr gut möglich.Tolle Aussicht zum Damm.

Das Essen war lecker. Die Portionen gut. Der Service ebenfalls. Leider ist auf der Homepage die Speisekarte veraltet. Die Preise unterscheiden sich z. T. deutlich.

Idyllisch eingebettet in der Wedeler Marsch. Fußläufig ist die sehenswerte NABU-Vogelstation erreichbar.

Waren heute Nachmittag nach einer Fahrradtour im Lokal. Nach zweimaligem nachfragen kam die Bedienung doch nach ca,.20 Minuten an den Tisch. Diese zeigte extrem wenig Empathie bzw. strahlte etwas Freundlichkeit aus. Ich hatte einen Becher Kaffee Crema bestellt und es kam eine Tasse. Kann passieren und ist auch nicht wirklich schlimm. Dann habe ich kurz Bescheid gesagt und mir wurde gesagt das ich einen weiteren Kaffee bekomme. Nach weiteren 25 Minuten war dieser immer noch nicht eingetroffen. Und ich habe auch keinen mehr bekommen. Geht es noch....? Beim bezahlen habe ich das angesprochen, aber es hat keinen interessiert. Keine Entschuldigung oder ähnliches. Das ist ein absoluten "NO-GO".

Trotz vollem Haus drinnen und etwas widrigen Bedingungen auf der Terrasse (sehr stürmischer Tag) haben wir hier nach unserer Wanderung durch die Wedeler Marsch einen schönen Nachmittagstee mit seeehr leckerem Kuchen genossen. Die Bedienung war offensichtlich etwas unter Stress, aber trotzdem sehr freundlich! Positives Gesamterlebnis, kommen gerne wieder!

Tolle einkehrmöglichkeit,wenn der Hunger kommt,vom Radfahren oder wandern. Matjes-Hausfrauenart, kann ich sehr empfehlen. Sehr netter Service mit schönem Blick auf die Schiffe,die vorbeifahren🤩👌🏼

Ein wirklich schöner Ort für einen Besuch an sonnigen Tagen. Besonders mit Kindern oder Haustieren. Die Deiche sind an sonnigen Tagen einfach wunderschön.

Was kann man dazu sagen einfach nur großartig direkt am Deich die Schafe laufen oben am Deich einfach nur wunderschön

Ausgezeichnete kleine Karte, Bauernfrühstück und Sauerfleisch mit Bratkartoffeln waren Spitze. Noch dazu eine sehr freundliche Bedienung.

War schon öfter dort. Leider immer wieder schwierig einen Platz zu bekommen. Bisher dort noch nicht gegessen, aber die Bedienung war immer nett. Zu empfehlen sind die leckeren selbstgemachten Marmeladen.

Wunderschöner Ort mit schöner Aussenterrasse mit herrlichen Blick auf den Deich.Wir kommen immer gerne zum Spargel essen,hier gibt es Spargel satt!Sehr netter Service.

Sonniges Wetter, Parkbank aufm Deich. Sonntag. Im Cafe Fährmannsand viel "Volk" und Radfahrer. Oben aufm Deich, ruhig, weiter Blick, nur die Schafe und ihre Lämmer blöcken und die Antwort der anderen aus der Herde. In keinster Weise gestört. Friedvolle Stimmung, gut um die eigene "Batterie" wieder aufzuladen. RELAX. Die Wartezeit hängt vom Wochentag/Wetter ab. Im Cafe. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und es ist viel zu tun! Klasse.

Alles toll was den Fisch angeht. Já das Bauernfruehstueck. Nun já die Zeit steht nicht still und man nimmt jetzt scheinbar Eier aus dem Tetrapack. Also dann lieber Spiegelei nehmen . Dank Corona gibt es nur noch Parkplätze in der Sonne weil es einen Aus und Eingangsbereich gibt . Scheinbar erwartet man ein Kreuzfahrtschiff mit 3300 Passagiere . ... fragt sich wo das denn wohl angelegt hätte. ... Nun ist 2026 und die Preise sind um bis zu 65% gestiegen...

Service leider sehr unpersönlich,keine Verbindlichkeit oder ein Lächeln,deutlicher kann Frau nicht zeigen,das sie keine Lust hat ! Wirklich schade

Leckere Hausmannskost, faire Preise und freundliches Personal

Ein schönes altes Café, wie zu Omas Zeiten. Es gibt dort verschiedenen frisch gebackenen Kuchen, oder auch deftige Hausmannskost oder Kleinigkeiten. Kleines Mankel, leider liegt das Café hinter dem Deich, und man sieht leider nicht die Elbe mit den teilweise interessanten Schiffen, aber dafür ist es dort schön ruhig, ausser wenn Hochsaison dort ist.

Schön gelegen zwischen Deich und Wedeler Marsch lädt das Fähremannssand zum Verschnaufen und Verweilen ein. Egal ob kurze Kaffeepause oder Deftiges Mittagessen, die Auswahl ist gut und die Portionen machen satt. Reservierung empfohlen, vor allem wenn das Wetter etwas durchwachsen ist. Im Anschluss empfiehlt sich ein kleiner Spaziergang und etwas Vögel beobachten.

Ausflug unternommen. Freude auf ein Essen zum mitnehmen. Restaurant als geöffnet im Status. Leider geschlossen. Verärgert.

Wer sich mal in 50/60er Jahre zurückbeamen möchte fühlt sich hier wohl. Tolle Ausgangslage um zur Vogelstation und der Hetlinger Schanze zu laufen und sich vor-oder hinterher zu stärken. Endlich mal kein Schicki Micki, glatte,coole Einheitseinrichtung wie in allen anderen hippen Cafes,Bäckereien, Restaurants. Schön nach einem Spaziergang in der Eiseskälte einen warmen Kaffe und Kuchen zu bekommen. Freundliches Personal. Dort ist extrem viel los und die Bedienung war alleine!

Immer einen Ausflug wert. Streichelzoo, Ziegen und Schafe. Leckere Kuchenauswahl und deftige norddeutsche Kost zu günstigen Preisen.

Würde lieber weiter zum Hafen in Wedel fahren.....

Yes, there's a small menu, and the salad is great. With edible flowers and a delicious sauce, all homemade. The fried potatoes and other goodies are also recommended, without bacon.

A lovely day trip destination in the Wedel Marshes near the Elbe River. Simple, home-style cooking, but well-prepared (for example, the farmer's breakfast). The inn is dated, but the staff is very friendly.

Friendly and helpful, and delicious herring in the traditional way. The only thing missing is a landing place for small aircraft in front of the house.

A restaurant located right behind the dike, it feels like the middle of nowhere. Delicious cakes and good food. Reasonable prices. The service both inside and outside is very friendly and attentive. A top tip for cyclists heading north along the Elbe River!

There aren't many places more beautiful in sunny weather! Great food with very attentive service! All for a fair price! Parking on site! Very easy to reach by bike!

A wonderful restaurant in the Wedel Marshes. Right behind the dike, you can sit on a lovely terrace or in the cozy dining room and enjoy coffee and cake or a hearty farmer's breakfast. I recommend walking the route; the walk is very beautiful.

In any case - rustic, cozy and very tasty food

Note: We only used the outdoor area (garden) and can't comment on the interior. Attractive and spacious outdoor area; the tables are NOT close together, giving you a sense of individuality and therefore a very pleasant seating experience. Restrooms are outside and wheelchair accessible. Very friendly, attentive, and quick service. The restaurant/café has a small menu. We had herring, traditional German style, with fried potatoes and a farmer's breakfast, a small water and a small Coke for €35, plus a €5 tip, of course. The dishes were excellent and a good size. An excellent alternative for a lunch or coffee break while strolling along the Elbe dike. 100% recommended.

The location is, of course, unique. We had a farmer's breakfast, and it was delicious and different, unlike anywhere else. The service is super friendly and attentive. I like it better now than I did many years ago.

A real insider tip. It's very idyllic, and today's temperatures reminded us of the Camargue. It's a great starting point for tours along the Elbe River. A beautiful sandy beach not far away. The menu isn't extensive, but it fits the location perfectly. The dishes are beautifully presented and plentiful. The herring was delicious, and the rhubarb spritzer was excellent quality and nice and chilled. We wish the owner continued joy and success with their business.

This café is beautifully located right in the countryside and on the Elbe. Parking is not a problem. Due to a lack of staff, the opening times have been adjusted. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be enough, because the service was heavily overloaded and stressed: no overview of free and reserved places, very long waiting times for orders and payment. This rather spoiled the otherwise nice atmosphere.

Fährmannssand we've probably all been here with the whole family as children. The menu is small, but everything tastes delicious. I was there again yesterday and it was just wonderful to sit on the terrace. It's also a great place to stop off during a bike tour. Highly recommended to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Very nice restaurant on the dike on the Elbe. Quaint and rustic furnishings. Attentive service and recommended cakes. The cappuccino was also great. It's lovely to sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy coffee and cake.

Great! Like before, a little trip into the past. A simple laminated menu with humane prices. Delicious food, without any convenience. It tastes particularly good if you have walked a bit beforehand.

Faa Lokal is comfortably furnished. Because the weather was good, the terrace was well attended. There is everything you need to sit on, from beach chairs to armchairs. The coffee is good, the cakes and cake selection are good. The (temporary) service staff were apparently totally overwhelmed. The service was very bad, I had to wait a long time for all steps of ordering, delivery and payment.

Very tasty cakes and tarts, served outside with a view of the nearby dike. There is also warm food. And homemade jams.

You can take a nice hike from the Wedel parking lot to the swimming pool, ferryman's sand and stop off at the farm cafe. Good home cooking and cakes, I really like the matjes.

Always worth a visit! My favorite dish here is Matjes Hausfrauenart. Cake and coffee are also highly recommended and the location on the dike is a dream. The inn is a great place for a tasty refreshment and a relaxing time, especially for cyclists, hikers, nature and bird lovers.

The fried potato institution (yum!) right behind! (not on!) the large Elbe dike, isolated, not far from Wedel. Outdoor spaces. Manageable map. Bottled beer. Reasonable prices. Only cash payment possible. Parking lot busy on weekends. Starting point for dike walks. Tip: Bring extra shoes without tread...Schafködel slalom.

A very nice country inn right on the Elbe. Look at ships, take a walk on the dike and enjoy the view. Very easy to reach by car or bike.

Delicious food and cakes in a rustic environment. There are wonderful outdoor seating options with a view of the dike and the marsh. Friendly and very helpful service, thank you very much. Relaxing environment worth seeing, view over the dike to the Elbe towards Wedel and to the north e.g. Hetlinger Schanze. The bike certainly enjoys the surroundings.

Sitting in nature, on the dike with the bleating sheep, eating and drinking in good company, in the sunshine and a light breeze, that's all that's possible, something I've enjoyed for years.

The place is wonderfully quiet. Directly behind the dike. I had sour meat with fried potatoes. Well, you can't call them fried potatoes. Maybe every 10th slice had some toasting. Lots of oil for that. No thanks

Here you can really unwind. Great ambience... delicious food and cake... the sheep are grazing outside on the dike... wonderful... you can also sit outside in a beach kirb... if it's free. .very popular...otherwise there is also space at the tables....

Nice place for a great break as a couple or as a family

Highly recommended small inn, ideal for a short break or simply to eat and drink coffee/cake. The homemade cake was amazing. The service staff was nice and accommodating.

If you are in Wedel, you should definitely stop here. A rustic atmosphere and a journey through time await you here. Very good food on a short menu, regional local cuisine. The salad in particular impressed with a lot of love. We will come back.

We were in this restaurant on April 21, 2024. The environment, the ambience was great. The cake we ate was very tasty. What bothered us personally was that you can only pay with cash. Not even the EC card, which is a completely normal means of payment, is accepted there. We think that for today's time, it's absolutely behind the moon. It's a shame, we probably would have taken more from the farm shop if that option had been available. When we asked, the lady who served us was snippy. Everything else was fine.

The route is the goal. Located right behind the Elbe dike, you will be served by very friendly staff. Only the price of a small piece of almond cake (really very flat) of 4 euros is a downer.

Nice little cafe on the dike. There you will find excellent cakes and tarts as well as savory snacks. Just the thing after a walk along the dike.

I was here often in my childhood. It's nice that the restaurant has reopened. It's particularly nice that the new operators are reviving the same charm of the 70s. The menu is simple; There are variations of the farmer's breakfast. And coffee and great cake. You can also buy home-made jams here. Very good service. We will be back .

Inviting little restaurant near the dike. Thanks to its attractive location, visitors cannot miss the building with its agricultural touch.

Nice destination on a bike tour behind the dike. You can sit inside and outside, the food is good. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to be patient and wait for a seat outside.

Eine schöne Location hinterm Deich. Ideal für Ausflüge, Spazieren gehen, Geburtstag feiern, es sich gut gehen lassen nach einer Radtour. Sehr freundliches Personal, toller Service, sehr gute Preise. Ob zu Zweit, als Gruppe oder Familie mit Kindern, hier ist man bestens aufgehoben. Schöne Außenterasse und uriger Innenbereich.

Das ist ein schöner Ort für alle, die Wetter und Weite mögen. Latschen und tratschen mit Wind. Schafe und Leute, die genauso sind.

Bei 35° Grad Außentemperatur konnten wir hier kurz Rast machen und eine Kleinigkeit zu Abendessen und den Ausblick auf die (kochende) Elbe genießen. Nicht nur das Personal war sehr freundlich und versuchte unseren quengeligen Lütten etwas zu besänftigen, sondern auch Hofhund Anni und die Ziegenfamilie begrüßten uns freundlich. Die Karte ist überschaubar, mit klarem Fokus auf Hausmannskost - das Essen war toll zubereitet, besonders der leckere und bunte Salat hat ein eigenes Foto verdient. Neben den Warmen Gerichten sind auf jeden Fall die Kuchen und Torten erwähnenswert, vor Allem der Birnenmus Kuchen. Frische Eier und selbstgemachte Marmelade (z.B. Pfirsich-Vanille, Erdbeere, Quitte oder Erdbeer-Chili) konnte man dort auch erwerben. Preise sind absolut in Ordnung, kommen im nächsten Urlaub wieder vorbei.
