Super leckeres Essen! Der Matjes hat mir sogar noch besser geschmeckt als in Glückstadt. Die Preise sind fair, die Bedienung war sehr nett und schnell, und das Bier war ebenfalls richtig lecker. Rundum ein toller Besuch. Gerne wieder!

Spontane Familien-Einkehr, die sich absolut gelohnt hat! Wir haben sofort einen gemütlichen Platz im Innenraum bekommen. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich urig – genau so, wie man es sich für eine Waldschänke wünscht. Der Service war spitze: Trotz großem Andrang blieb die junge Kellnerin durchweg professionell, aufmerksam und super freundlich. Das Essen (wir hatten fünf verschiedene Hauptgerichte) war von hervorragender Qualität, ausgewogen und rund. Ein großes Lob an die Küche! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier einfach. Klare 5 Sterne!

Das einzige vegane Angebot in diesem Etablissement ist ein Flutschfinger Eis. Wir haben 2026 und es müssen keine Fleischersatzprodukte sein, aber Pommes oder Hafermilch wären schon eine Option, da bricht sich kein Gastro Betrieb einen Zacken aus der Krone.

Nach dem Klövensteen hatten wir Lust auf einen kleinen Snack im Außenbereich. Die Currywurst war leider gar nicht lecker und im Preis zu hoch. Vorbereitet schon in Soße eingelegt und lauwarm für 6,50 ist mit nichts zu rechtfertigen

Unfassbar zufrieden!! Service super, Getränke super und das Essen ist exzellent. Ich werde definitiv erneut kommen.

Ein netter Platz, um nach einem Spaziergang oder einer Runde mit Kindern auf dem Spielplatz, hier Rast zu machen. Es wird gut angenommen, und vor dem Büdchen bilden sich am Wochenende Schlangen. Die Suppen schmecken lecker. Die Portionen sind leider nicht sehr groß. Dafür gibt es einen Stern weniger. Die Tische draußen im Servicebereich sind in die Jahre gekommen.

Ich war nach einem Fußballspiel dort essen & es war wirklich sehr lecker. Der Service war sehr höflich und super freundlich. Das Ambiente ist Mega eingerichtet und man kann perfekt entspannen.

Kleines, gemütliches Lokal in Holzoptik in einer Art Blockhütte im Forst Klövensteen. Sehr gepflegt und nett und mit Blick für die Details von zwei jungen Geschwistern geführt, klein Speisekarte (Wild-/Fleischgerichte, aber auch vegetarisches Angebot) alles frisch zu bereitet, kein Convenient-Food! Gutes Preis-/,Leistungsverhältnis bei den Speisen und sehr faire Getränkepreise. Schön zum Einkehren nach einem Waldspaziergang , aber auch lohnend zum Hinfahren und einfach Essen gehen. Klare 5x Stern Empfehlung!

Nur etwas trinken in der Gaststube - Fehlanzeige. Wir wollten nach unserem Spaziergang nur einen Kaffee trinken. Es waren 3 Tische frei, man sagte uns jedoch, dass alle Tische reserviert wären und die Gäste gleich kommen. Wir mögen unseren Kaffee doch bitte draußen trinken. Wir waren um 16:45Uhr da und zwei der Tische, das konnten wir aufgrund von kleinen Zetteln auf den Tischen sehen, waren zu 17:30Uhr und 18:30Uhr reserviert. Die Bedienung meinte, es wäre eine Anweisung von Oben. Also wir gehen demnächst lieber woanders unseren Kaffee trinken. Schade...

Die Kleine Waldschänke in Rissen begeistert auf ganzer Linie! Eine familiäre, herzliche Atmosphäre, in der man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Das Angebot ist sorgfältig ausgewählt und die Speisen sind hervorragend! Alles frisch, qualitativ hochwertig und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Hier stimmt einfach alles, selten so einen tollen Service erlebt. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Herzensempfehlung!

Wir waren heute zu zweit um 16:30Uhr in der kleinen Waldschänke im Klövensteen und haben uns auf einen gemütlichen Nachmittag mit einem leckeren Kaffee gefreut!Als wir bestellen wollten, wurde uns mitgeteilt,dass alle Plätze reserviert wären. Es waren noch vier Tische frei,beim gehen habe ich mir die Schilder mit der Reservierung angesehen,ein Tisch war um 18:30 Uhr, zwei weitere um 17:15 Uhr und einer um 16:30 Uhr reserviert!!!Ich habe die Bedienung darauf hingewiesen und nachgefragt,ihre Antwort war,ihre Chefin hat gesagt,dass alle Tische reserviert sind! Tatsächlich habe ich so etwas noch nie erlebt, unglaublich. Die kleine Waldschänke ist daher absolut nicht empfehlenswert,die Bedienung war auch sehr unfreundlich! Wir gehen in Zukunft nicht mehr dort hin!!!

Das Essen, Grünkohl, war super. Wie bei Oma. Großes Lob an die Küche. Die beiden Kellnerinnen waren sehr schnell, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Gaststätte ist ein Geheimtipp und sehr zu empfehlen. Der Weg hat sich gelohnt.

Absolut Empfehlenswert! Wer ehrliche Hausmannskost und einen Super Service mag ist hier genau richtig. Essen Hervorragend! Personal Super Herzlich! Ambient mega gemütlich! Komme immer wieder gern.

Eigentlich recht gemütlich. Aber scheinbar hat mit der telefonischen Menü Bestellung nicht alles geklappt und die Bedienung sich dann wenig zu helfen gewusst.

wir waren total begeistert von der schänke. der service war super freundlich und aufmerksam, man hat sich direkt wohlgefühlt. das essen war richtig lecker, frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich top. obwohl viel los war, ging alles schnell und wir mussten nicht lange warten. insgesamt einfach ein richtig gutes erlebnis. wir kommen auf jeden fall wieder und können das restaurant nur empfehlen.

We spontaneously decided to eat here during a layover and had a very, very positive experience. We quickly inquired whether there was a table available for two, checked briefly, and despite the small dining room and many reservations (which are recommended), we got a table. The food was delicious, our requests were accommodated, the service was very attentive (in other restaurants, the same number of servers are responsible for three times as many tables), and it was simply a perfect experience all around. It's a shame we don't live nearby. Thanks again!

Always nice, a bowl of soup or coffee after a walk is always welcome. They're missing the outdoor seat cushions.

A lovely little pub with both indoor and outdoor seating. It gets busy when the weather's nice, and sometimes it takes a while to get in. The service is friendly, and the snack selection is extensive. I love coming here!

And there are still horses in front of the door and, of course, the Klövensteen with its game reserve.

The Leberkäse roll is highly recommended if you have something like that on the menu :-). The staff/owner was very cheerful and spread a good mood. Overall, it was great.

This charming, rustic hut has a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended for a warm drink on the terrace during the colder months.

Wie die überwiegend guten Bewertungen zustande kommen? Ich weiß es nicht. Aber unsere Bratkartoffeln zum Matjes waren indiskutabel. Matschig und stark abgebrannt bis verbrannt. Sauerfleisch sehr fettig, ca. 50% Fett. Wir haben nicht reklamiert, wollten keinen Stress haben/machen. Das war nun das zweite Mal ein Reinfall. Bauernfrühstück und Roastbeef waren ok, bis auf die Bratkartoffeln. Schade, denn Lage ist nett und die Bedienung auch OK. Hatten gut zu tun.

The location is sensationally good, in the middle of the forest, near the playground and the wildlife enclosure. Unfortunately, the decor and ambiance aren't that great; the food is home-style cooking and heavily meat-based. The quality is okay; they're probably making the most of the tiny kitchen. All in all, it's rather mediocre.

The Waldschenke is located right next to the wildlife park, next to the parking lot, practically in the middle of the forest. There's a small outdoor seating area. We had the vegetable pan and the baked potato with chicken. Both were delicious and freshly prepared. Highly recommended.

Nice people, even just before closing time, they still serve a beer. You simply leave your glasses at the hatch. Great👍🏻 We haven't eaten yet, so no rating for that.

If you love nature, this is the place for you. Located in the forest, surrounded by nature and animals. For the little ones, there's a pony ride in the wooded area, and free-range chickens... I'd love to go there.

After the Klövensteen we felt like having a little snack outside. If the queue is longer here, it can take some time, so I definitely see room for improvement.

Strange service. The food on my bill was much more expensive than stated on the menu. I paid significantly too much and unfortunately didn't realize it until too late. The food is already way too expensive here. I wouldn't be coming back anytime soon.

The service is very nice and the food is also delicious, but the portions are too small in relation to the price: 3 halved fish, which weren't that big as a whole, and 3 tablespoons of sauce is really not much for just under 23 euros (but there were still side dishes). The salad with the dish was enough and colorful. I then left my partner more of the fried potatoes to share so that he would get full from the fish dish. My sour meat was better in portion size. But blue-colored, pickled onions are gimmicky. That looks rather unhealthy. I didn't think that was pretty. But it was delicious! The ambience isn't super chic, but it definitely fits a Waldschänke. In the outdoor area there are fries and bockwurst, but also other things like kale or stew.

A small, cozy, rustic location. Food was good, the kale was really tasty. The soup of the day was wild mushroom soup with lots of mushrooms.

The food in the restaurant is good, down-to-earth cuisine. Unfortunately, the quality (and quantity) in outdoor sales has decreased significantly.

Very good food- fresh and seasonally served. Recommend to reserve, as people coming in from the parc. Excellent German kitchen! A must to go once you are in Hamburg.

This quaint, cozy restaurant is surrounded by greenery. The food is consistently fresh, seasonal and for me it is always a culinary delight 😍 I feel very welcome there. I can only recommend it. The food is very good and was served hot and tasty. The portions are plentiful and the service is friendly and attentive, just as you would expect. Just look at the pictures. There was even a second helping of the schnitzel👍 The nearby Klövensteen game reserve invites you to take a walk afterwards/before. If you want to look at a few animals on the weekend and love good home cooking, this is the right place for you. We would love to come back....😀

Nice place for families and friends to meet in a relaxed and informal way. Friendly service, delicious food.

Small, very cozy restaurant. Delicious food, seasonal dishes such as asparagus season, matje season or kale season. Great for family celebrations. I really like going to the little Waldschänke.

The service was not only cold but really rude. This is now the second time it's happened like this. The first time we thought that everyone can have a bad day. There are enough alternatives in this corner too! The food just doesn't taste good but it comes at a steep price. It wasn't tasty the second time either. A small cup of soup for 6.50 € and for bread (⅓ rolls from the morning) cut into three small slices an additional euro was charged... That's stingy and I felt really embarrassed...

Bedienung war nicht nur kalt sondern wirklich unhöflich. Das ist nun zweite mal, dass es so war. Beim ersten Mal haben wir gedacht, dass jeder mal nen schlechten Tag haben kann. Es gibt genug Alternativen auch in dieser Ecke. Das Essen schmeckt einfach nicht hat dafür aber einen happigen Preis. Auch beim zweiten Mal hats nicht geschmeckt. Eine kleine Tasse Suppe für 6.50€ und für Brot (1/3 Brötchen vom Morgen) in drei kleine scheiben geschnitten nochmal mit einem Euro extra berechnet.... Das ist geizig und ich hab echt Fremdscham empfunden....

Very nice and charming restaurant with good cuisine

Good restaurant located directly at the game reserve. You can make yourself comfortable both inside and outside. However, the staff inside is friendlier than outside at the order line. The atmosphere inside and outside is welcoming and calm. However, it can get a bit crowded in summer. The food and drinks are delicious (schnitzel, sausages, fried potatoes, fish, ...) and the prices are reasonable. Toilets are available in a neighboring house, clean and tidy. There are also plenty of free parking spaces as the main entrance to the game reserve is directly opposite. Overall, a nice place for a relaxed meal after visiting the game reserve. Card payment possible from 10 euros.

Very good German cuisine, great service and a beautiful environment. Also great for families due to the game reserve and small playground. We love coming here, filling our stomachs or enjoying a coffee and then taking a walk in the game reserve 😄

Moin, die Bewertung vom März 24 kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Wir waren am Samstag gegen 19.00 Uhr dort. Wurden sehr freundlich und nett empfangen. Beim Essen haben sie noch Grillgemüse dazu gegeben ohne Kosten😍 Super lecker und ohne Stress, da um 20.00 Uhr geschlossen wird. Schade eigentlich, denn es war lecker und gemütlich. Hätten bestimmt noch ein paar getrunken. Macht weiter so. Ganz lieben grüße aus Mainz

Restaurant located close to the Klöwensteen forest; It's quite comfortable inside. Unfortunately the menu hasn't been adjusted/modernized for years. Even at the beginning of spring, kale is still the focus. The salad side dishes are outdated. A non-smoking area outside would be desirable.

Sehr unfreundliche Chefin. Die Servicekraft war nicht sehr fähig. Das Essen war zwar recht ordentlich, lediglich die bestellten Bratkartoffeln waren wohl aus nicht verwendeten Ofenkartoffeln hergestellt, ohne Zwiebeln und Speck. Nicht wie gewohnt gut. Die Die Atmosphäre war sehr ungemütlich. Wir werden so schnell nicht wiederkommen.

Wir waren mit Freunden, 2 Kindern und einem Hund hier. Es ist urig, alle waren willkommen und wir wurden freundlich begrüßt. Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Schnitzel frisch geklopft und die Portionen so, das jeder satt wurde. Auch der Wein und das Bier waren sehr lecker. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Wir waren nicht das erste Mal da und werden sicher wieder kommen.

Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Grünkohl und Hirschgulasch war sehr reichlich und gut. Die Pasta mit Nudeln waren nicht so gut gelungen. Dazu frisches Bier vom Fass. Hier lohnt sich die Einkehr!

Wir waren gestern dort mit den Eltern essen , diesmal zum 1.mal enttäuscht. Auch wenn die Bratkartoffeln und die Schnitzel gewohnt gut waren, war das Kassler wirklich schlecht. Es war zäh und irgendwie nicht als Kassler zu identifizieren. Auch nach der Reklamation war das Fleisch vom selben Stück und genauso schlecht. Vielleicht lag es an Den bevorstehenden Ferien, daß auch die Servicekraft eher angestrengt freundlich wirkte. In diesem Sinne wünschen wir erholsame Ferien MfG

Unsere gemuetliche Hütte mit Atmosphäre und guten Essen und stets freundlicher Bedienung. Auch Reklamationen werden stets freundlich und kompetent behandelt bzw gelöst. Besonders natürlich wer es nicht auf die Wiesn schafft sind die bayrischen Wochen ein Muss
