Great food, would be happy again.

I visited friends who live right opposite the restaurant, which they’ve never dined in. On my last night I changed that by inviting them out as a thank you. We were all amazed at the quality of the Balkan/Turkish menu. A really nice evening and some new local customers.

The food there always tastes excellent, always fresh and something to look at. Service is top

We were there with 12 people after my niece's baptism. And I have to say, I haven't experienced better service in terms of quality, friendliness and speed in any restaurant for years. The boss made a very warm impression, even towards other guests and regular customers, even if he hardly had any time. The food was excellent in terms of quality, appearance and taste. Based on this experience, I will bring forward my birthday dinner reservation there and put my previous regular restaurant aside for it.

Really a nice restaurant, nice staff. Unfortunately we weren't that impressed with the food. My husband's schnitzel was pounded so thin that it actually only consisted of breading and was very dry around the edges. But we will try again, as you can sometimes have bad luck.

The food is, as always, very good. The service is always very attentive and friendly. A family atmosphere, thanks to the friendly boss and staff.

We were at the Merion for the second time today, and just like our first visit, we were thrilled again. Welcome, service, food, dessert, everything was great. Here you can eat and drink very well in a beautiful atmosphere and at a reasonable price. Portions are large and the dessert is simply great. We'll be back. Nicol and Paul 💚

Today we ordered there for the first time, previously we had another Balkan restaurant as a regular. Unfortunately, prices there have risen sharply. But at Merion the prices are reasonable. The portions are large and soooo incredibly tasty. The best Balkan cuisine I have had the pleasure of experiencing so far. Can't find the right words for such great food. We would like to thank the entire Merion team for the excellent service. Our wedding with 12-14 people was an unforgettable afternoon and evening. I was your guest with my son on May 30th (holiday). We come from Duisburg Süd and came on the recommendation of the restaurant owner Etus Bissingheim, who was often your guest on his own rest day. And if a colleague was enthusiastic about it, we wanted to try it out ourselves. We actually wanted to come spontaneously, but two hours before I realized that it was a holiday. so I called to make a reservation. We were promised the last possible place. Thanks :-) Well, when we arrived at your place, we received a very friendly welcome and were looked after very well throughout the evening. I was happy about your apparatus. Food was very tasty. The Argentinian fillet prepared to perfection. Pure enjoyment :-) We sat until the end of your day because we had so much to talk about since we don't see each other that often. We never had the feeling, "That's enough, now pay and finally go." Thank you for your patience. We would be happy to come back and of course we would be happy to recommend you to others.

We had a company dinner and got a nice big table. All special requests with starter, main course and dessert platters were served perfectly. The whole restaurant was full, no table was available and top service was always attentive. Many thanks to the whole team.

We had dinner at Merion today. From the starter to the dessert it was a great meal. The service also left nothing to be desired. Even though it was very busy, we never had to wait long for the always friendly service staff. We will be back definitely.

The steak platter for 2 people was great. My wife had the asparagus ragout with salmon, which is also top notch. Thank you for the very nice evening!

Nice restaurant and a great ambience

We were there for the first time today. And we were welcomed like regular guests. Super friendly, very personable, really warm. Then the ambience. Very tasteful, someone with a sense of real comfort and style did their work. The service: Super accommodating, attentive and, as I said, warm. The food was, for me, the best restaurant food I've had in a long time. The starter platter with bread, herb butter, tzatziki and ajvar (all homemade!!!) came from the house and was great as an overture. The starter salad was top notch, fresh, with, among other things, fresh apple strips, and mixed lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. The dressing must have been homemade and was brilliant. The main courses were fantastic. The vegetable pieces in the Djuvec rice were made from fresh ingredients, the rice was light and overall the whole thing was aromatic and harmonious. The meat was the best I've had in a long time. The presentation was done by an expert, the grill plates didn't seem as overloaded as the rest of the dishes, but rather attractive and appetizing. A price/performance ratio that is not often found today. That's how gastronomy works, even in times like these. The people there know their stuff. Because that is exactly what awaits the guest here. Gastronomy like from the textbook, with dishes of excellent craftsmanship. For such top quality for five people 128.70 euros, which is not even 26 euros per person for food and drink, and at the end there was a Julischka on the house, which is no longer a given today. Absolute recommendation!!! And today, on our second visit, after the first one had impressed us so much, we were totally thrilled again. Everyone here knows their craft. Both the service and the kitchen team. The sliced ​​pieces of various types of fish, the starter Bruschetta alla Genovese, my mother's asparagus gratin, or the turkey medallions baked with tomatoes and mozzarella, everything was worthy of stars in my opinion. First of all, the salad was great. There was even a soup from the house as a starter today, a really tasty potato cream soup. And everything again at unbeatable prices. And the landlord recognized us immediately and asked about our boys because they weren't there today. Warm, familiar, that’s how good service works

Delicious food at fair prices in a nice atmosphere. Service very accommodating. We are always very satisfied. There are more than enough parking spaces in the market square.

We have been to this restaurant several times. And so far we have been extremely happy with the food. But unfortunately the quality of the food wasn't up to par on our last visit. The fried potatoes were not crispy and not seasoned. Likewise the meat. The complaint about this was dismissed. But it looks like the ownership is changing, according to the rumor mill.

I was very disappointed yesterday. Within 2 months. Ate the colorful salad with steak strips. In February it was very tasty. Yesterday the walnuts and grapes were missing. I let you know immediately. I got the answer, she passes it on. Nothing happens until you pay. When I pointed this out, 2 euros were graciously deducted.

The food was partly very tasty, partly, for example, the butter from the kitchen plate was made with Maggi - that was a bit strange. My salad plate was tasty, but very small. I was in this restaurant for the first time today with 4 ladies, all 5 found the dishes to be very tasty, visually presented very nicely, there was no reason for complaints. The service was very nice and attentive to the guests, which we also really liked. We felt comfortable on comfortable chairs in the stylish ambience. Clear visit recommendation!

We come here regularly because it's just great! The food is always great, all the staff are very friendly, and they are also super nice when dealing with children. What is also very important to us is that our dog is always warmly welcomed and he is always provided with water. Praise also goes to the always friendly and attentive service staff, who also took the time to advise us on our dessert request. We became aware of the Merion restaurant on March 1st through a positive restaurant review in the WAZ Duisburg. We can fully agree with this criticism. Unfortunately also when it comes to the small selection of open wines. My conclusion: We can be welcomed to Merion more often in the future. By the way, the greeting of the guests is also very friendly and warm. We felt REALLY welcome.

Eines unserer absoluten Lieblingsrestaurants! Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut top! Egal, was wir bisher gegessen haben, der Geschmack und die Qualität der Speisen war hervorragend. Auch finden wir es klasse, dass Rentnerportionen angeboten werden. Vor allem ist es endlich mal ein Restaurant, wo die Kellner und Kellnerinnen definitiv rausstechen. Alle sind super freundlich, zuvorkommend und vor allem beherrschen Sie Ihren Job. Der einzig kleine Kritikpunkt ist, dass wenn man im großen Saal sitzt und dieser gut gefüllt ist, ist es extrem laut. Ansonsten haben wir überhaupt nichts zu bemängeln.

Wir waren dort während der Weihnachtszeit essen. Das Restaurant war kpl. ausgebucht. Trotzdem wurden wir extrem schnell bedient. Alle Essen kamen rasch und heiß. Wir waren zu 10 da und alle waren mit ihren Essen sehr zufrieden.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Merion, es hat alles bestens gepasst sei es die herzliche Begrüßung vom Inhaber, der super freundlichen Bedienung bis hin zum leckeren toll angerichteten Essen. Auch das Ambiente hat Eindruck hinterlassen schön modern eingerichtet einfach zum wohlfühlen. Wir haben bereits für den 2. Weihnachtstag reserviert und freuen uns schon auf ein festliches Essen. Tolles Essen in schöner Atmosphäre! Das Essen ist sehr gut, der Service ebenso. In gemütlicher aber moderner Umgebung kann man echt gut essen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und nicht nur Balkangerichte, sondern auch in Richtung italienischer Küche. Uns hat es dort sehr gut geschmeckt!

Mittwoch, früher Abend. Da dachten wir, gehen wir lecker essen ohne Reservierung. Was soll ich sagen, das Restaurant war bis auf den letzten Platz belegt. Wir durften ein paar Minuten warten und schon hatten wir einen schönen Tisch. Das Essen war wie immer sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist dort super freundlich. Vielen Dank und bis zum nächsten Mal.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort essen und waren mehr als zufrieden. Sehr gute Fleischqualität. Auch das Gemüse war sehr knackig und die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Leider war aufgrund des mehr als gut besuchten Restaurants ( u.a. große Gesellschaft) der Lärmpegel Recht hoch. Einem erneuten Besuch steht allerdings nichts entgegen

Super. 1A. Nettes Personal. Netter Chef. Das Essen war sehr gut. Es wird nicht unser letzter Besuche gewesen sein.

Waren schon oft dort, bestellen auch oft zum mitnehmen. Gestern mal wieder dort gegessen und gleich ein neues Gericht auf der Karte probiert. Rumpsteak mit Pistazienkruste auf Himbeerspiegel, dazu Kroketten und Salat. Super lecker 😋

Wenn ich koennte haette ich 10 Sterne vergeben. Der 90. Geburtstag meiner Mutter war wirklich sehr schoen. Das gesamte Serviceteam ist einfach Spitze.. melli ist die Seele des Restaurants. Auch Kinder sind hier sehr gut aufgehoben und mit soviel Herzlichkeit begrüßt..Tischdekoration und Servietten sehr hochwertig und auch das Geschirr. Die Inneneinrichtung ist sehr außergewöhnlich und superdchoen, ebenso die Beleuchtung Der Knaller war aber das tolle Essen fuer 12 Personen a la karte. Alles kam zusammen und alle waren mehr als zufrieden. Dafuer ein dickes Lob an Mellis Mann u Team i d Kueche Nachtisch ebenso Klasse wie Semifredo aus gerösteten Nuessen oder Pallatschinken mit Eis u Schokososse.Ihr habt nun auch Fans in den Niederlanden, in der Tuerkei und in Florida und uns ja sowieso Euer Restaurant ist eins der Besten die ich kenne. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Bedauerlicherweise war das Tagesgemüse (buntes Pfannengemüse) und meine Rosmariekartoffeln, als Beilage zum Fisch, in Öl ertränkt.

Wir waren Pfingstmontag mal wieder zu einem besonderen Anlass dort essen. Sehr lecker, sehr freundliche Bedienung und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war spitze . Sehr gerne wieder. Schön war auch, dass es nicht so voll und somit nicht so laut war.

Tut mir leid, aber für den Grillteller würde ich nicht mehr wiederkommen. Die Qualität des Schweinenackenspießes war in Ordnung, die Konsistenz der Cevapcici erinnerte mich allerdings eher an "Hackfleisch-Mus", schmeckten nicht selbstgemacht. Insgesamt war das Fleisch für meinen Geschmack zu fad, der Djuvecreis nur lauwarm. Aber: 4 von 6 Personen unserer Gruppe waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen, offensichtlich habe ich das falsche Gericht gewählt 🤷🏼‍♀️. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal.

Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Es war von der ersten Sekunde an ein Highlight. Ich denke als gelernter Koch kann ich mir ein Urteil über die Qualität erlauben. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Der Service, super freundlich und aufmerksam, die Küche ist sensationell gut. Wir hatten die Steakplatte für 2 Personen und sind restlos begeistert. 4 verschiedene Fleischsorten genau auf den Punkt, das Gemüse knackfrisch. Ein riesen Lob an die Küchencrew. Ich war heute zum ersten mal bei Euch, aber garantiert nicht zum letzten mal. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Da ich ja leider nicht jedesmal eine neue Bewertung schreiben kann, möchte ich trotzdem nochmal Danke sagen. Es ist nach wie vor einfach nur perfekt und die Qualität sucht seines gleichen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist neben der Topqualität der Speisen ganz besonders das Serviceteam. Selten so einen freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service erlebt. Hier fühlt man sich als Gast mehr als willkommen. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.
