La Sude Cafe & Restaurant in Duisburg

From the parking lots to getting to the restaurant, you should definitely wear mud clothes! There were puddles and mud everywhere; my shoes were completely ruined. The food was a real disappointment. I wanted to try the tripe soup and almost threw up. The egg with sucuk was a catastrophe—what kind of €2 sucuk is that?! :D The menemen was like tomato soup. The fries were frozen mush. Then there were some kind of fantasy creations that were probably leftovers from the previous evening's service and were too good to throw away, but apparently, it's okay for customers who pay €20 per person.

There were too many options for breakfast, but the taste is debatable. Even the tea was tasteless. This leads to extreme waste. You're fooled by appearances and you end up scooping it onto a plate. And then you can't eat it. It's noisy and crowded. Empty plates and glasses need to be cleared away faster. The parking lot is covered in mud. Shoes and the inside of the car are covered in mud.

Guests constantly park on the sidewalk, blocking pedestrians, or in the forest park on the meadows, destroying the environment.

The health department's visit in February was very enlightening. NEVER AGAIN. 1. In the freezers in the storage room, they found self-frozen cooked ground beef and sliced ​​doner kebab meat, which had a heavy ice buildup in the bag. 2. The electric salad slicer was dirty on the outside. Furthermore, the cutting discs were found to be contaminated with old salad scraps. 3. The under-counter refrigerator was contaminated with old food scraps below the metal inserts. 4. In the kitchen, the space between the under-counter refrigerator and the work surface was contaminated with food scraps. 5. In the kitchen, various utensils that come into contact with food (e.g., pans, metal sieves) were inadequately cleaned. 6. The spice containers were dirty inside and out. 7. The handwashing sink in the kitchen lacked handwashing and hygienic hand-drying supplies (e.g., liquid soap and paper towels). 8. The handwashing sink in the grill kitchen area lacked a hot water supply. 9. In the large commercial refrigerator in the grill kitchen area, the evaporator grid, the base, and the shelf were contaminated with a film of grease. Uncovered minced meat skewers were among the items stored there. 10. The dough hook on the stand mixer was not sufficiently cleaned at the top. 11. The refrigerated meat grinder was contaminated with old, dried-on meat residue in the feed chute and on the disassembled auger. 12. In the cold storage room in the yard, the ceiling, walls, and all shelving surfaces were contaminated with a mold-like coating.

It used to be really lovely, with everything, but now it has a new owner. I was there yesterday with my girlfriend; we wanted to have tea. The head waiter was very unfriendly and told us that even if we didn't eat or drink anything, we had to pay 25 euros per person. When we tried to ask him about it, he insulted us and showed us the door. We'd been going there for years and were always very satisfied until yesterday when we were deeply disappointed. So, never again, and I will never recommend it. The man's name is Ali, and as long as he's there, never again.

The atmosphere is lovely, and the design is beautiful. However, I remembered the food, especially the breakfast buffet, quite differently. I've eaten at fancier places with a wider selection and better-tasting food/buffets/breakfasts, and they were even cheaper. I don't think what's on offer at the buffet is worth the price. I definitely won't be having breakfast there again.

Parking is available, but somewhat limited – with a little searching, however, you can usually find a spot. The buffet is large, but the taste is rather average and the overall presentation is somewhat unimaginative. The selection of bread and pastries is adequate, nothing special. There are plenty of fries and scrambled eggs, as are drinks – the price is fair overall. However, the salad and dessert selection is far too limited; it lacks variety and quality. The doner kebab meat on offer is a definite highlight and elevates the buffet considerably. In short: It's okay to go if you're in the area and hungry, but it's not my first choice.

I unfortunately have to give one star, as I can't leave a rating otherwise. We went there for my mother's birthday breakfast. Charging almost €20 for such a terrible breakfast is simply outrageous. There were no different juices or croissants, contrary to what was advertised online. According to their website, the breakfast buffet really has everything... but that's so far from the truth. I don't think I've ever had such a bad breakfast in my life. The coffee came from a thermos that was completely undrinkable because you get coffee grounds in your mouth as soon as you start drinking it. But at least the Turkish tea worked! Never again, it's not worth the money, no matter how much I like it.

I've rarely had worse buffet experiences. By 10:30 a.m., the desserts were completely gone, and the staff didn't care. They wouldn't restock them. Mind you, the buffet runs until 1 p.m. Overall, the food quality was poor. Everything was very dirty. Shoes stick to the floor. The cutlery basket is disgustingly dirty 🤢. The restrooms are a disgrace, dirty, full of spiders and insects, and exposed cables. Card payments aren't possible, which always leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Once, never again.

Even though I asked for a reservation on Friday morning, they told me it wasn't necessary, but they somehow checked our reservation when we walked in. While there's a wide variety of food, I can't say the quality of the food is particularly high. The right side of the restaurant is much stuffier and narrower than the left, and you can't see anything. I recommend booking the left side (which overlooks the garden) when making a reservation.

The ambiance is really lovely, especially the cozy outdoor setting. However, the breakfast isn't particularly recommendable. We arrived around 10 a.m., as most of the dishes were cold or empty. It took a while to refill them; three of the teapots were empty. When I asked the lady about it, she only filled one and then left, even though several people were standing there waiting for tea.

I felt like I was at a Turkish wedding. We waited almost an hour for our food, and they apologized every now and then for making us wait so long. The fries on the grill plate were cold and hard. It looked like the fries had been there for an hour. The table was a mess, and they cleaned up every now and then like they were at a wedding with trolleys. The toilets are even worse, dirty, so old and disgusting. Everything needs to be replaced as quickly as possible. It's a shame the restaurant owner doesn't see it... There were so many guests but only one toilet worked. The only nice thing was the music, they sang really well. It was too loud for a restaurant, but they sang really well. Quiet music is what suits the meal...

I had breakfast here a month ago and I have to say, the breakfast selection has unfortunately diminished considerably. No sucuk, no sausages...for what you pay... The scrambled eggs had strange discoloration. There was just so much lunch for breakfast in the morning, which could have been replaced with a larger breakfast selection.

Hello, We were there with the family today. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in every way 😞 The restaurant isn't air-conditioned. I couldn't cut the meat from the grill plate with a knife 🔪 and it wasn't cooked properly. I didn't finish the plate, either. The other dishes we ordered also disappointed us in every way. For this price, you can definitely get better food. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant at all. I can only give it 1 out of 10.

This excellent Turkish restaurant is beautifully situated in Duisburg's city forest. With its diverse buffet, it's one of the best in the area, in my opinion. Here you'll find everything your hungry stomach desires, from breakfast to brunch. Fruit, dessert, Turkish snacks... Free drinks like coffee, tea, and orange juice are, of course, available. Great staff and ample parking right on site.

I ordered Adana kebab, it came with normal pita bread, I asked for lavash and they said it was extra.

I went to the all-you-can-eat restaurant last night. It was terrible. The staff and waitresses were unfriendly, the food wasn't appetizing, which is why more than half of it was left over and probably thrown away. Some of the meat was undercooked, and the dessert left a lot to be desired. The music was incredibly loud; I couldn't have a conversation with the person sitting with me without shouting. €40 for service like that is outrageous. If you insist on a second drink, you'll just get a strange look. For that price, you could have had much better food elsewhere. In my opinion, you can save yourself the trip.

We ate at this restaurant during Ramadan and were absolutely thrilled! The meat was perfectly prepared – juicy, flavorful, and of the highest quality. All the other dishes, from the appetizers to desserts, were also excellent. We were particularly impressed by the friendly atmosphere and attentive service. The drinks were also excellent and perfectly rounded off the culinary experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you really want to have a relaxed and peaceful meal, especially since the staff are rude to customers, it's very loud, and there's little choice of food, both for starters and desserts. It's also incredibly loud, and some "singers" are constantly shouting into the microphone. Smoking is also permitted in the café, which is very distracting.

Otherwise, it's very tasty, but don't go there during Ramadan. The food tastes very old, and there isn't really a large selection of vegetables.

Been there recently and never again... For the price you would expect something better and not dried out or overcooked food.. The taste really wasn't good at all! The waitress always stands in the corner with his cell phone in his hand and constantly goes for a smoke. Dealing with the customers is also very unpleasant!
