Restaurant Meram in Hamburg

Absolutely disappointing - never again! We were at Meram's this morning at 8:55am to have breakfast on a special day - it was empty, no guests, and yet we were coldly turned away just because we didn't have a reservation. No accommodation, no attempt to find a solution - just dumped. Rude, disinterested and completely disrespectful. On a day like this we would have expected at least a modicum of hospitality - instead we were treated like we were a nuisance. For a restaurant that advertises tradition and hospitality, this is simply an outrage. We're never coming back. Meram completely disqualified himself today. Not recommended – on the contrary: we expressly advise against it.

A very nice restaurant. We had the lunch brunch with a Groupon voucher. However, I would come back again and again even at the normal price. If you're hungry and you're nearby. It was great that there was also coffee (tasted modest), black tea (tasted very good) as well as various other teas and also cold soft drinks/juices. Unfortunately, many people don't do that and here you get something special. When we were there around 11 a.m., many dishes were almost empty, some completely. Which I don't think is a bad thing, as you definitely have to throw a lot away. However, I deducted a star because of this, as well as the fact that it is of course not a foreign food to someone of Turkish origin and is above average but nothing special. Nothing that you don't know as a Turk. However, for the price performance, you can't complain. I would give it 5 stars, but I have to be honest. As I said, a great restaurant in Billstedt

Used to be good, now very bad! Unfresh food is served, rice is probably days old and very hard. Salad went like this...bread from the day before...

The selection at brunch was generally okay. Unfortunately, a hair in one of the dips significantly spoiled the experience. Instead of replacing the affected dip, the hair was removed and the dip continued to be offered in the buffet - a clear lack of hygiene. Dessert was also exclusively rice pudding. Despite asking twice for more desserts and being promised that something would be coming “immediately,” it stayed that way – even after waiting over 30 minutes. Overall a disappointing experience, especially in terms of hygiene and service.

Ordered today April 24 two hours in advanced with a few colleagues. Delivery time was supposed to be for 13:00, as we have lunch break. The food came 25 minutes early, despite it, it was already cold on delivery. Also had one item missing. We are only 3 KM away from the restaurant there should be no reason for our order to come almost 30 minutes early and arrive cold. Never again

The two of us ate Sunday brunch here. There was a huge selection of different pasta, egg dishes, salads, they even made fresh Gözleme... Everything tasted really good, not 0-8-15. You could see several Teyzes preparing food in the kitchen. Chicken in cream sauce was very good and so was the scrambled eggs. The price of 25€ per person Seems intimidating, but the food is really high quality and the dishes were prepared with a lot of love. That's fine then. The ambience is nice and not too overwhelming. Everything is consistent. I can only recommend not filling your plates completely, but rather taking a little bit of each and trying it out.

We went there for brunch with the family today and were unfortunately very disappointed. For €25 per person we would have expected a much better selection of food - the buffet was extremely small, carelessly put together and simply didn't taste good. We enjoy eating out regularly and are happy to pay a little more if the quality and service are good. Unfortunately, neither was the case here. The service was inattentive and unpleasantly loud. People openly complained about the condition of the neighboring tables, furniture was moved loudly and garbage was visibly stacked right next to our table. Unfortunately, there was no relaxed atmosphere. In total we spent almost €300, but the experience wasn't nearly worth that price. It's a shame - we were looking forward to a nice brunch, but we definitely won't be coming back. Unfortunately not a recommendation!

The food was delicious and the staff was friendly, but the way the food was presented was not particularly careful.

Just bought a kebab for home 5 minutes ago. As you can see there is hardly anything inside. I haven't experienced such cheekiness in a long time! At my friend's kebab box, the fries were only half fried. I'm more than disappointed. It's best to come during the day if they have enough

Very good restaurant that caters to your wishes

I had an extremely negative experience at this restaurant. Instead of being given real tasks, they were only allowed to peel potatoes. The cooks made fun of me and gossiped about me, which was totally disrespectful. An employee simply sent me into the kitchen like a slave and just said that I should work. The kitchen itself was completely messy and hygiene doesn't seem to be an issue here. Hands weren't washed, and every second someone was smoking, only to then immediately prepare food. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. If this is how people and food are treated behind the scenes, I don't even want to imagine what the guests are served.

Unfortunately, we can't get orders out of the house. Either they forget a part or something is given incorrectly. That was the last time. Never again. I specifically said that I wanted chicken breast and repeated myself twice and pointed to the picture, and he made sure it was breast, but I was still given drumstick. Such incompetent people. I would prefer to give no star at all.

Best Turkish restaurant in Hamburg. Delicious food, great ambience, very friendly staff.

The waiter is disrespectful, unfortunately he doesn't understand German, he serves the wrong food and doesn't want to see the mistake and discusses it instead of correcting the mistake. He started talking and didn't want to see it. Unfortunately he was very disappointed because he was there with a larger group and left a lot of money for food that was cold and inedible and unfortunately no sauce for the dishes, even in the kebab no sauce. Very disappointed if his money was worth something I would avoid this juice shop!!!!!

Unfortunately, my phone call with a member of staff was extremely unpleasant. She was unfriendly and patronizing, trying to tell me how to organize my plans. She also called me twice more after the conversation, which I found intrusive. This kind of tone is not customer-friendly. We have visited Meram Restaurant frequently in the past and have always been satisfied. However, after today's experience, we won't be returning.

Even one star is too many! I reserved 2 tables for the Iftar buffet the day before. That day I called 30 minutes in advance and said that we would be late because we were coming from Berlin and we were stuck in a traffic jam. On the phone they said no problem, I'll let you know and we'll keep the tables free. We arrived 5 minutes after Athan and the tables were already taken. Then we waited 15 minutes and ended up getting a table outside in the cold. Yes, we would have received half the price but still something like that isn't possible, especially if you're already fasting and coming from another city and have reserved in advance! We ate 1 hour later that day because the other restaurants were understaffed during Iftar time and it was really difficult without a reservation. You have completely failed organizationally. NEVER AGAIN. Something like that, especially in Ramadan, is really unforgivable.

1 week before Bayram/Eid they said they only accept breakfast reservations 4 days in advance. I went there in person 5 days beforehand to make a reservation for Eid Sunday and I was actually told that everything was fully booked. I'm wondering what kind of incompetent staff on site would prefer no stars at all, juice shop!!!

I would like to thank the Meram Restaurant staff and workers. Today we accepted an invitation from your Consulate and had the opportunity to have a valuable iftar. The soups were distributed in advance. We bought our own food and tasted delicious food from the open buffet. May Allah be pleased with those who contributed.

Durch einen Gutschein zum Frühstück sind wir zu diesem Restaurant gekommen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und hatten freie Platzauswahl. Das Büffet war sehr ansprechend. Alles war sehr sauber Es gab verschiedene Backwaren, warme Speisen mit Fleisch, Eierspeisen, diverse Salate - wobei mir beide Eiersalate sehr gut geschmeckt haben -, Wurst und Käse, Gemüse und süße Nachspeisen. Dazu konnte man sich am Kaffee, Tee und Saft ohne Begrenzung bedienen. Insgesamt war alles sehr lecker; mal ein komplett anderes Frühstück. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielleicht auch mal zu einer anderen Tageszeit.

The atmosphere was nice. The food was good, but I bought an appetizer plate just for the hummus. Eyelashes grew from hummus... We didn't like it very much. Mevlana pita was extremely delicious. Adana wrap was too full of sauce and I couldn't taste the meat.

The breakfast buffet during the week is also rich in salads, warm dishes, desserts and Turkish specialties. Highly recommended :)

Order not delivered.. if you only have 1 driver then you don't need to take 100 orders. And then not being able to deliver... always the same thing in ramadan, the service is always terrible. Thank you that I have to starve because of you

My first Turkish brunch! I was very positively surprised by the colorful and large selection of dishes. The dishes on offer were not labeled but that made it all the more interesting to try out :-) A generous selection of bread with various fillings and dips (separately), scrambled eggs, Nutella, jam, eggs, some cold cuts and cheese, various salads, vegetables, warm dishes with poultry, shrimp, sausages, etc., cakes, chocolate pudding, rice pudding and fresh fruit. Apple juice, orange juice, coffee and tea are also included. One of my absolute highlights, however, was that a very nice lady from the restaurant prepared fresh Gözleme live in one of the dining rooms. I personally thought they were fantastic! These were filled in different ways with, for example, feta, spinach or potatoes and minced meat. The restaurant was nicely decorated with additional outdoor seating area, it was relatively clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to the guests. I'll be attending my second Turkish brunch in another restaurant in Hamburg very soon and then I'll have a chance to compare. Had a Dürüm without meat. It was actually very tasty, but a bit boring because there was only lettuce and tomatoes and onions in it with eggplant which would have given the whole thing a little more variety, it would have been very good. But I got a free salad with it, which was very simple with lettuce leaves, onions and a bit of carrot, but the sauce was very good and made it less boring.

I ordered a durum jumbo and there was almost no filling, it was really dry, empty and almost no meat. The size for being jumbo and costing 16.50 was also disappointing. The tortilla was also dry and it seemed they didn't warm it at all. It is really a shame because the taste was good and from the pictures you can tell it is a nice restaurant with nice food.

The food tastes excellent, I recommend it without a guilty conscience. Thanks to the staff, keep it up!

Terrible waiters, very rude, thank god we didn't get kicked out

We had a wonderful dining experience there! My husband and I tried the Mixed Grill Platter for two, and it was absolutely delicious. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the platter was well worth the price of 49€. If you enjoy grilled dishes, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Went there for brunch for the first time today. There was a variety of delicious 😋 dishes on offer. We were thrilled. Everything was very tasty and beautifully prepared. It certainly wasn't the last time.

We (5 people) stayed at Meram based on a recommendation. We like to eat a lot of Turkish food. We had to wait a bit because we... We were there too early, we had reserved and got one Tea on the house. We have a table in assigned to the rear area The order was delivered promptly recorded. Unfortunately, when we sat down we noticed that there was a strong smell of cigarettes. We sat next to the separate smoking area, the door was constantly opened and no longer locked. We had to get up several times because no one saw responsibility, to close this again. It was very uncomfortable, hair and Clothes smelled when leaving extremely like smoke. For food...this was served quite quickly, unfortunately My dish didn't arrive for about 15 minutes Served later, mine had it Accompaniment almost eaten. Unfortunately, our expectations regarding the dishes we ordered were disappointed. No plates were served for the Meze Mix starter. In terms of taste, we were missing something special Something. The staff rushed from table to table. We won't be back come and cannot understand the recommendation, but tastes and expectations are known to be different.

The breakfast is not recommended in terms of price/performance ratio. Not always fresh. Often already cooled down. Selection not particularly great in comparison. The price is now adventurous. If I have to pay €22 per person for breakfast at the weekend, then more has to happen. In the German bakery I pay €8 for a meal and get healthy and full.

I've been sitting here with my girlfriend for 4 hours and it feels like we've been waiting for something every hour, first meecumek then 1 hour for a kebab and then künefeeeeee

Super delicious food, the staff very friendly. For me personally it was just quite loud.

First of all: We ordered via UberEats on a Saturday at 6:15 p.m. Estimated delivery window for the restaurant, which is just under 10 minutes' drive away, is 6:50 p.m. - 7:10 p.m. At 8:30 we became skeptical and called the restaurant's number on file, but no one picked up. The food came at 7:45 p.m. The supplier apologized and attributed the delay to a colleague's breakdown. The food itself - Adana Kebab - was unfortunately only lukewarm, if at all. The fries were completely soggy because they were on top of the meat in a sealed plastic box. This isn't rocket science and can easily be managed better. Accordingly, we had to put the fries in the hot air fryer again and the meat, potatoes, peppers and flatbread on the contact grill. While we reheated the food we were able to eat the side salad - it was carelessly prepared and in one case really a joke: more oil and vinegar than salad. It tasted like ready-made dressing and didn't really leave me wanting more. When everything was somewhat warm, we were finally able to eat. The meat was delicious and suggested that it was freshly prepared on site and really, really tasty. The potato was also tasty and well seasoned. Tzatziki was rather weak and the curry sauce was very spicy, tasted a little like cocktail sauce and tasted like mayonnaise. Flatbread and peppers were good. All in all, quite disappointing and not very satisfying. I wouldn't order there again. I can't judge what it's like to eat there. However, in the event of such delays, you should inform the customer or at least answer the phone. With discount campaigns I have instead of 25€ per person. Only paid €7.5. If I had paid full price for the meal in this situation with the waiting time, I would have been extremely pissed off.

The food was cold, without sauce or additives, which I paid extra for. I don't recommend it. I got two large pancakes and some cold meat that had been left for a while, instead of jumbo durüm.

By far the worst chicken kebab. Cartilage, bones, chicken skin with leftover feathers and pieces of meat that are cut too thick and that in poultry meat. Apart from the kebab, I think the charcoal specialties are appealing here. But I definitely wouldn't eat kebab here again.

The restaurant is my number 1 stop when it comes to Turkish cuisine. Here you can get delicious dishes at fair prices. The employees here are all nice, friendly, just likeable and very accommodating. I come all the way from Neu Wulmstorf (Lower Saxony) and I have to say it's worth it. A big compliment to the entire team at Restaurant Meram!!! Keep it up

Very tasty, rich and large portions in a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant is very large, but once you sit in it you don't notice it. Not a long wait. All at very reasonable prices. Hamburg Billstedt hasn't been my area so far, but that could change because of the restaurant. For tourists: you can get there quickly from the A1 Billstedt exit and can relax wonderfully. I'll be back!

Best brunch buffet in all of Hamburg. Very fresh products, lots of selection and completely justified prices

Food was very good and arrived incredibly quickly. Unfortunately, the ambience is due to the incredibly full shop... it was very, very loud and very stressful... otherwise a very solid restaurant. Unfortunately, last time was a disaster. Trz reservation (extra in the SMOKING AREA) and banning smoking because children were sitting at the end of the room is incomprehensible in my opinion (Why are they put there when the restaurant had enough space to sit them in the NON-SMOKING AREA.)

3 chicken kebabs were ordered, after half an hour 3 veal kebabs were served. Employees refused to exchange them. Apart from that, the kebabs were rather very subpar. The restaurant is also trying to delete negative reviews and threatening to get a lawyer.

Ich war leider sehr enttäuscht von meinem Besuch. Das Essen hatte einen starken Geschmack nach Grillanzünder oder Benzin, was den Genuss unmöglich machte. Ich habe die Kellnerin darauf hingewiesen, dass das Essen unangenehm riecht und schmeckt. Anstatt sich des Problems anzunehmen, nahm sie das Essen einfach mit und ignorierte meinen Hinweis. Beim Bezahlen sprach ich sie erneut darauf an, doch ihre einzige Antwort war, dass das “normal” sei. Ein solcher Umgang mit berechtigter Kritik und diese Qualität des Essens sind für mich inakzeptabel. Ich kann dieses Restaurant daher nicht empfehlen.

Friendly, generous, perfectly cooked grilled chicken breast.

Ordered food via Uber Eats. Delivery time was quite good. Guess around 45 minutes Unfortunately both Dürüms were cold upon arrival! Dry, special request (extra hot sauce for 50 cents each was not fulfilled. It wasn't spicy at all) A pide was also missing. Fortunately, I got the money back easily via Uber Too bad!

Review for the restaurant I was recently in this restaurant and unfortunately I can only report an extremely bad experience. The meat that was served had pieces of plastic in it, which is not only unappetizing but also dangerous. When I then ordered the Coke, I discovered that it was not carbonated. Although they brought me a new Coke, it was also flat. When I spoke to the staff about the problems and asked for a solution, I was simply ignored. Instead, they wanted to present me with the entire bill, without any accommodating discount or apology for the deficiencies. The whole thing seemed disrespectful and customer-unfriendly. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will definitely not go there again.

A few days ago we visited this restaurant with the family, which we had visited several times and had liked so far. However, this time our first impression was unusual as the restaurant was surprisingly empty. It was usually always busy and we suspected that the current construction at the intersection might be a reason for that. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. The service was not very friendly and not particularly attentive. The quality of the food was particularly disappointing: the salad didn't contain fresh fruit, and overall the food didn't taste as good as it used to. We hope that the quality will improve again soon. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the restaurant at the moment.

The Meram Restaurant on Billstedter Hauptstraße is without a doubt the best restaurant in Hamburg when it comes to value for money and taste. The dishes are not only authentic and full of flavor, but also generously portioned and available at a fair price. The meat specialties are particularly outstanding – fresh, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The side dishes are always fresh and varied. Desserts also 1A! The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. If you are looking for an excellent culinary experience in Hamburg, you are guaranteed to find it at Meram. Absolute recommendation!

We asked for 3 wraps, 3 cokes, 2 potato doner bread, cold. The potatoes were cooked and kept waiting, cold like rubber. Even though it wasn't too crowded inside, the waiting time was 33 minutes. Employees should be careful.

Best lahmacun we have ever eaten. Taste like in Turkey. I've never had such good food in Germany. We've tried many restaurants in Hamburg and especially Billstedt, but the best Lahmacuns are here.

The very last shop. Went there with the family and they offered us a reserved table because they apparently weren't coming. It was next to the smoking room but they told us to close the door because we didn't want to sit there otherwise. After the reservation apparently showed up 10 minutes late, they opened the door to chase us away because they knew we were leaving. After I spoke to the waiter he just said he couldn't lock the door so the smoke came all the way to us and we were then forced to leave because we were there with 4 small children. Impossible!!! Never again!!! I would give 0 stars if it were possible.

I ordered two kebabs using the 2 for 1 offer on UberEats, but they forgot the sauce. When I called there, a gentleman supposedly called “Yunus” answered the phone and he was extremely rude. He spoke loudly, snapped and sounded very annoyed. When we told him that the sauce was missing, all he got was a dry “Okay, I don’t know.” I'm supposed to call tomorrow so the boss can give me a credit, but that's just how it is for now. This is absolutely unacceptable and I will never order from here again! I didn’t even get a “sorry.” If you don't want to lose any more customers, you should work on your employees.

An oriental dream in the middle of Hamburg. Breakfast: absolutely world class. Dishes: absolutely world class Service: phenomenal The ambience is attractive. A star deduction for the volume that occurs during a fully occupied local. This could possibly be remedied by soundproofing elements.

I went to Restaurant Meram with my family. Reception could be even friendlier. It took a while for the waiter to bring us the menu. We had a breakfast buffet with the family. Buffet selection was ok (could be a bit more). Some foods tasted like they were from the day before. Overall it was ok, nothing more. We definitely won't come again. Thanks!

Booked a voucher via Groupon for the breakfast buffet. Given the location and price, not much could be expected. We were already impressed by the great welcome we received with an explanation of the buffet, what was what, where we got what, but then we found this great buffet and we were speechless. The staff and the entire service was simply unbeatable. Always attentive without being intrusive. Sanitary facilities are so clean, service, freshness and cleanliness are very important in this restaurant. This restaurant receives 5 stars from us

We ordered takeaway. Very courteous staff. The meat was freshly grilled over charcoal and both the meat and the side dishes were juicy.

Fantastic restaurant to have breakfast at.

Recently went there for brunch for the first time. The selection was really great, the food was very fresh and really tasty. Tea and juice included, world class! We will definitely visit the brunch again.

Went there for brunch today. I like Saturday better because the brunch isn't as extensive as on Sunday. The price of 21.90 euros works for me because everything is more expensive, OK, coffee, tea and apple as well as orange juice are included. The food was consistently delicious, the hot meal with chicken was great. Dessert tiramisu and a piece of coconut...that was still good. So far we have been there on Sundays, as written at the beginning, very rich, not good for the figure 😁

I have never eaten such a bad kebab cold and with hardly any sauce. I spoke to the staff (behind the counter) about it. They were very unfriendly and reacted very rudely and my appetite was gone too! Luckily the waiter and waitress were very nice apologized several times for the behavior! never again!
