A very nice Greek restaurant with generous portions and a good salad buffet. All at reasonable prices and with attentive service. The courtyard is truly lovely in the summer. Highly recommended.

The food is delicious. All dishes arrive promptly. Despite a full house, the staff remains friendly, but you can tell some of them are quite stressed. The ambiance is a mix of rustic, traditional, modern, and cozy. When the house is full, the noise level is rather unpleasant.

I went to Meltemi with my two friends. We waited over 90 minutes for the food, and when we asked, we were repeatedly put off. When the food finally arrived, the side salad and rice were missing. The portions were also outrageous: a small dollop of tzatziki, few fries, the meat very dry, and the prices were quite high. My friends had a salad plate that was just drenched in oil. There was no small compensation for the entire misery. We will never visit Meltemi again. The restrooms could also be kept cleaner.

We actually like going to Meltemi, at least to the beer garden. The owner is really friendly, as is the service. Some of the starters were very tasty, but some, especially the taramas and the grilled pepperoni, we didn't like so much. The main courses weren't really hot, the rice was barely lukewarm, and we waited over an hour and a half for the main courses. I would appreciate it if the restrooms were renovated; I didn't find them particularly pleasant. Conclusion: We'll try again, but would be happy to see a significant improvement (even if it sounds silly: the onions, in particular, could be cut with a bit more finesse...).

Unfortunately, the portions, especially the meat, have become extremely small. Next time, I'll say I don't want a children's portion. I don't understand why. Prices up and portions smaller? Tried again on July 6, 2025. None of the kids were full, sorry, I won't be coming back. I finished my gyro, which was hidden under a mountain of onions, with five forks. I don't understand why. They charge 2 euros more and that's it, but that's just not acceptable.

Really really bad. Unfortunately the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. One disaster after another…… Total chaos in the kitchen.. one guest had insects in the salad and two guests never received any of the food they ordered. Everyone else finished eating and still no food for the two. Very disappointing. Our table wasn’t the only ones affected by the chaos. Won’t be going there again.

Because of our experience today, I'm taking back my originally very good feeling. We had made a reservation for five people at 6 p.m. After 30 minutes, we still didn't have any drinks! The food was served after 1.5 hours. In total, the manager and two waiters were on duty. Not enough for the packed terrace. The waiters were running around. An incredible achievement in 30 degree heat! We got two drinks each in two hours in 30 degree heat. We would have liked to order more drinks in that temperature, but unfortunately no chance. Other customers besides us complained about the long wait. To top it all off, a heated argument between the manager and a member of staff escalated to the point where we left the restaurant as quickly as possible. There was a lot of shouting and yelling, it was intimidating. Other customers besides us also wanted the bill and then to leave the restaurant as quickly as possible. I've never experienced anything like it! We certainly won't be coming back. This kind of behavior in front of guests is completely unacceptable.

We went there again after a long time and were very disappointed. Our appetizers took an hour to arrive and were burnt. Three appetizers were missing, and we only received them after everyone at the table had finished theirs. The boss yells at his employees throughout the entire place and slams doors like a madman. He simply throws out his waiter, who was doing a great job. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

We were there today with 11 people for a confirmation ceremony and ended up leaving without main courses. During the first round of drinks, a Kiba that we had ordered was missing. That's not a big deal and happens everywhere. The bread that we received in two baskets was burnt black on top. That wasn't nice and we overlooked it. Things got really bad with the starters. Of the 11 starters, 7 were brought. Those who had their hot starter started early. According to the guests, the zucchini was not tasty and had been cooked for too long. The person sitting next to me had octopus that was so black that I wouldn't have eaten it, but according to my neighbor, if you scraped the black bite off, it was still delicious. After 15 minutes we complained about the missing starters at the bar. The starters were brought long after the other 7 had finished. The very nice and courteous waiter apologized and explained that the kitchen was extremely short-staffed and that they only had two servers for such a huge restaurant. We felt truly sorry for him at that point, because we felt his apology came from his heart and was meant exactly as he said it. That was also the reason why we didn't say anything about the salad, even though we should have returned it. The salad looked delicious and was served to the table with a delicious yogurt dressing. Apparently, the green salad had been transferred directly from the sink to the salad bowl. The salad was swimming in water. One of the salads was so full of water that we filled a small water glass with it. But we didn't complain because, on the one hand, we felt sorry for the waiter and, on the other, we didn't want to appear troublemakers. Suddenly, the restaurant became loud and hectic. For minutes, we could hear several people screaming in the kitchen and doors slamming. We waited for a while, but after the argument in the kitchen and the next room got louder and louder and we heard the boss firing the waiter, we cut the evening short and went home without a main course.

The question about how long we waited for our food was missing. It was 1.5 hours. If the waiter had informed us that it would take a long time, fine, but the information didn't come automatically. We had to call the waiter first so we could order more drinks, and we were given strange looks because we asked about our food. Yes, it was full, all the tables were occupied, but if there aren't enough staff, I'm sorry, then the restaurant has to set a limit on the number of tables occupied. Then not all the tables can be occupied. The food was really, really good, but I don't want to wait another 1.5 hours for it. What a shame.

I rarely give 5 stars - but Meltemi deserves it. The atmosphere is very stylish and authentic, but still down to earth. Service staff keep an eye on everything. Food was very good. 2x pork fillet pans in a subtle red wine sauce. 1x Biftheki plate. The starter salads are also beautifully prepared. Really recommended restaurant.

I had a ribeye steak with baked potatoes and grilled vegetables. It came with a side salad. The portions were generous (I'm a big eater). The meat was cooked to perfection, and the grilled vegetables were very tasty. The salad came with a delicious dressing. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, and all in all, it was a successful evening.

We used to love going to Meltemi. Now I have the feeling that the portions are smaller and the quality in the kitchen has declined.

A small, cozy restaurant, rustic with good Greek cuisine. Went there at lunchtime during the week and it was almost completely full. We had a grill plate and a dish of gyros and squid. Both were served with fries, tzatziki and a side salad. Everything very tasty😋 There was an ouzo both before the meal and, if desired, after the meal. We found the drinks prices to be high. 0.2l cola €3.50 Only the sanitary facilities seem to be from the last century and are in urgent need of renovation.

The Melteni restaurant in Flamersheim offers really excellent food. The starters are very tasty, the main courses come in generous portions and there is absolutely nothing to complain about in terms of taste. When it comes to food, you can really recommend Melteni! The ambience is also appealing - the restaurant seems to be housed in a former home-style restaurant that has been renovated in a modern and tasteful way. It definitely invites you to linger. Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress was extremely inattentive during our visit, orders were forgotten and we had to ask for our drinks several times (sometimes three to four times). The rest of the service was generally rather chaotic and not particularly attentive. Unfortunately, the boss also seemed a bit unfriendly, which further spoiled the overall impression.

Let's start with the most important thing. The starter, a tomato soup, had too little taste. The main course, gyros, souvlaki and fries were very good. The salad needed more spices, it was too plain. The service hasn't learned the job. Served from the wrong side and with your arms all over the table. I still felt comfortable all around.

On Sunday evening, the restaurant was well attended. The parking situation is really difficult, we parked on a side street and walked for a few minutes to the restaurant, which was very welcome on the way back with full bellies. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to make a reservation in advance, so we tried our luck. I found the ambience to match the Greek food. The tables were set with tablecloths and the staff was very friendly. The prices are moderate and the portions are plentiful. We thought it was a very successful, delicious evening and will definitely come back again.

Yesterday we were at the Meltemi restaurant for the first time and certainly not the last time. Super tasty food with very moderate prices. The service staff was super nice, quick and courteous 😉 It couldn't be better!!!! Reservation is definitely recommended!

Really great. The food tasted very good and was extremely generous in size. Likewise the side salad, which is often no longer available. The Metaxa sauce was very tasty and the meat was of good quality. Instead of the French fries, I would have preferred the classic Greek garlic potatoes. I don't know if these were optional to order. We also received an ouzo with our meal.

As always one of the best Greeks in the area.

We have been to the restaurant a few times and always enjoy going back. The portions have become a little smaller and more expensive over time, but are still reasonable given the current prices everywhere. There are special plus points for the delicious food, the playroom for the children, the free ice cream for the children and some very nice waitresses. Unfortunately, the only negative point is the toilets.

Okay, today it was really stupid...the children's meal without schnitzel in the packaging and breading without feta cheese inside, that doesn't work at all.....taste, as always, good. But with a restaurant that isn't really full and at lunchtime on a Sunday, there could probably be a little more concentration in the kitchen. Food was pre-ordered and picked up ourselves, already packed of course. This was the original text that supposedly violated something and was therefore not posted, no apology or anything from the owner to date. We even called straight after we had unpacked our food and there was no apology on the phone, hence the review. It only undermines trust in reviews when the text above appears to be non-compliant. And it's also sad not to just admit the mistake, because as I said, the food that was there tasted good, but still very annoying when you paid for fries with schnitzel and the schnitzel was missing!

We spontaneously ate there for the first time today. The staff is very attentive and super friendly. The food was very tasty and I am thrilled because the calamari was really good and the usual frozen calamari rings were not served. Gladly again👍🏼😊

Unfortunately the salad was a few days too old (was brown) The grill plate for 2, however, was more for one person and therefore very disappointing. But it costs almost €60!! There were suddenly no side dishes for a main course, even when asked. (The menu says “French fries and salad included”) On top of that, there was a group there that was so loud that you couldn't understand your own words.

Tried it for the first time and I have to say it was really tasty. The sauces are well seasoned and not overloaded with garlic and onion like some others. Ordered the gyros plate and mussaka. Both delicious. Keep it up.

A good Greek around here. The portion is okay but due to the increased costs it has become less. There is always a lot going on here, so you should make a reservation. Very rarely it works without it, which of course speaks for the restaurant.

Super tasty, very good meat, which could sometimes be a little juicier (e.g. gyros) and great fresh vegetables. Food is perfectly seasoned, great garlic bread, really good garlic potatoes and always completely sufficient portions and a very nice selection of food and drinks. Absolutely okay in terms of price. Very attentive service and very well decorated with a large beer garden at the back. You should ideally make a reservation as it can get very crowded even during the week. However, we have always been lucky when we go there spontaneously. The disadvantage is the parking situation on site, but you can always find something somewhere. It's definitely worth it :)

It is what it always is with the Greeks. Attracted by the positive reviews, we gave the restaurant a try. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is OK. But you can get that on every promenade in Crete. I was expecting more local dishes. Apparently you can't survive in Germany without gyros. It was worth the try but it's a shame

If you're looking for good Greek food, this is the place for you. There are only deductions for the somewhat dusty ambience. The somewhat old-fashioned furniture is spiced up a bit by modern aspects of the rest of the equipment (modern wine holders on the walls, etc.), but this is still where you could most likely find a Kiritk point (at a high level). The beer garden is very cozy and attractive. The food is very tasty and of good quality. Only the tomato rice could have had a little more spice for our taste. But all in all, the price-performance ratio is really great - especially when you compare the competition in Rheinbach. And ultimately there is an ouzo beforehand and afterwards we could have had another one if we had answered the question in the affirmative.

We were very satisfied. It was full to the last chair, but the staff were very friendly and not stressed at all. The food was to our complete satisfaction and plentiful (leftovers were packed to take away). There is a playroom and outside play equipment available for the children. Always my pleasure.
