Restaurant Mediterran in Euskirchen

I was just passing through. Top restaurant. The food was very good. The service was also very good. If I'm ever in or near Euskirchen again, I'll definitely visit this place again.

Our visit to the Mediterran restaurant was unfortunately not what one would hope for in a cozy family meal. The service was inattentive for much of the time – even simple requests, such as extra glasses to go with a large bottle of water, had to be repeated several times. The owner's manner was also extremely rude. When we politely asked for a little more friendliness towards the guests, he completely lost his temper and summarily asked the person in question to leave the restaurant. Overall, it was clear that he was the "boss" of the place – but he seemed rather reluctant to welcome guests. I have rarely felt so uncomfortable. The owner's son later explained that we shouldn't "take it too seriously" because his father "always talks like that" – an honest, but hardly comforting, explanation. The mixed bag continued with the food. The liver was still raw inside, the tagliatelle with chanterelles was practically tasteless and had to be brought to life with copious amounts of salt and pepper. Overall, we got the impression that we had to adapt to the owner's whims and habits. Absolutely not recommended, and we would have preferred to leave the restaurant immediately.

The restaurant owner has a very strange way of dealing with guests! He was already rude when I simply asked for water glasses, and when we ordered food, he completely lost it after my sister just suggested he could be a little friendlier! He then even asked her to leave the restaurant! Even ordering a bottle of water gets you snapped at! Drinks aren't brought! The food is also a disaster. The liver is raw, the sauces are pre-made, and the schnitzel is frozen. It's a truly catastrophic experience. It's absolutely outrageous! How can anyone treat guests like that? I can't understand the good reviews! An owner like that should close his restaurant!

We were there for the second time; super friendly service, fast service and great food; nothing to criticize.

We spontaneously ended up at the Mediterranean restaurant today. The dishes we chose were served together. Beforehand, we could help ourselves at the salad bar. Everything tasted delicious and was plentiful (some of it even included garlic 😋). The ambiance is very cozy and modern, with good booths for a relaxed atmosphere. The acoustics were very pleasant. The service was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We'll be back!

We've been eating here for years. The staff is great and the chef is fantastic! It's become like a friendship. Our children love eating here. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Even though the owner and his son or waiter tried very hard, the food on my plate didn't impress me. I could have complained, but even the smallest thing would be met with a somewhat brusque response, so I avoided further complaints. I won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Be careful! Bad reviews are sometimes deleted. I'm writing again now. I rarely write reviews, but this restaurant is really extremely questionable. The owner can be very loud and rude and ignores customer requests that don't suit his personal taste. When I was ordering, he snapped at me so disrespectfully that I actually cried. That's never happened to me before, and we were all horrified. He refused my request for just antipasti without Parmesan. Until he finally brought me the vegetables – WITH a thick layer of Parmesan. There were a few other negative examples. We've been holding our celebrations at a different restaurant since then. I would strongly advise anyone who needs minor adjustments due to allergies, intolerances, a vegetarian or vegan diet, or personal taste to not visit this place. In general, the restaurant is more suited to older people.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, freundliches, aufmerksames Personal und schmackhaftes Essen. Portionen sind groß und nett angerichtet. Salat-Buffet könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein... Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder...

Bedienung war freundlich und schnell. Wir waren dort, weil montags Schnitzeltag sein sollte, also vergünstigt, allerdings dann wieder nicht am Heilige drei Könige, für das Restaurant ein Feiertag für NRW nicht unbedingt. Wurde auch zu spät mitgeteilt. Beim Champion Schnitzel waren gerade mal vier Pilzscheiben in der Soße(keine richtige Pilzsoße), die Bratkartoffeln kosteten extra was uns beim Bestellen nicht gesagt wurde. Beim Kindermenü Chicken Nuggets waren gefühlt 10 Pommes und kein richtiges Ketchup. Der Salat und die Vorsuppe waren allerdings sehr frisch und lecker.

The worst meal I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Eat: We took the schnitzel with cheese gratin and the tagliatelle with chanterelles. The schnitzel was as thin as a beer mat and also chewy. In addition, all the cheese displaced any other taste. The fries were okay, but that was the only positive thing. The tagliatelle was overcooked and the sauce was tasteless. I didn't taste any spices. The chanterelles were OK, but nothing more. Service: The waiter was quick and very friendly. However, the owner then came and asked us why we didn't eat. I kindly pointed out to him that the sauce could use more spices. He then simply said that he had already sold 10,000 of these dishes and that everyone would have been at peace. I think he only sold the dishes once to everyone. It's a shame, we won't go there again. I don't understand why this restaurant has such good reviews. Could have done better at home.

Update 12/16/23, deer goulash with red cabbage and dumplings was super delicious, and so was the tomato soup! 5 stars! Update 8/19/23 As always, very tasty food, this time we were there during the chanterelle season, the chanterelle cream soup was very tasty, and so were the pork medallions with chanterelles and croquettes. Very friendly staff, good selection, very tasty. Inn Corona times are also highly recommended; you can pre-order and pick up at any time during opening hours.

Visit Monday, June 10, 2024 in the evening During our stay in Euskirchen, we found the Restaurant Mediterran and spontaneously decided to stop there to have dinner. From the outside it looks newly renovated, due to the bad floods in 2021 - the inside is just as beautifully decorated in a Mediterranean style and as a guest you have a good first impression. A member of staff greeted us and assigned us a table in the back. On Mondays the restaurant has “Schnitzeltag” and there is always a salad from the salad buffet. Unfortunately, the employee did not light the electronic tea light. The menu was presented to us and our first drink requests were asked. What we also noticed and that also runs through the restaurant later on is that kitchen rolls are placed in central places, such as the salad bar, counter, toilet, and cleaning products here and there. An order: - Kadarka, red wine, sweet, 0.2l for €5.50 - Portuguese white autumn, rose wine, sweet, 0.2l for €5.50 - Bruschetta Caprese, with tomatoes/onions & mozzarella for €6.90 - Tomato soup, refined with coconut milk, with ribbon noodles, plate for €4.70 - Pineapple skewer, chicken breast fillet, beef fillet & pork fillet grilled with pineapple, on a light curry cream sauce, with croquettes + a salad from the salad buffet for €19.90 - Natural schnitzel (unbreaded), with French fries + a salad from the salad buffet for €11.50 - Espresso €2.80 - Julischka 2cl for €2.50 ******************************** Unfortunately, we discovered small one-day flies at the salad buffet there, which the restaurant management should pay more attention to because it doesn't have a good effect on the guest. The food was ok and the tomato soup was definitely homemade The biggest point of criticism was the dessert menu: The desserts are available once in the normal menu and a second time as a separate display - HOWEVER compared to the menu with different prices > cheaper in the menu - display higher prices. When we asked the employee about this point, he unfortunately reacted very angrily and said "of course the higher prices apply" and when asked further, the employee downplayed the matter "the prices on the menu would have to be changed accordingly , but that's why the dessert display is there, because it's valid". After this statement, the employee defiantly turned around and disappeared into the kitchen. From the guest's point of view, something like this is not possible with different prices and the reaction of the staff and therefore we deduct points accordingly. Unfortunately, it wasn't a satisfactory conclusion, as the mistake was clearly and demonstrably the restaurant's and we therefore didn't order a dessert as planned, as we actually intended, since we don't tolerate or support such opacities (that's how I would like to put it).

Besuch Montag, 10. Juni 2024 abends Während unseres Aufenthaltes in Euskirchen, haben wir das Restaurant Mediterran gefunden und wir uns spontan entschlossen haben, dort einzukehren, um das Abendessen einzunehmen. Von außen wirkt es neu hergerichtet, bedingt durch das schlimme Hochwasser 2021 - innen ebenso schön mediterran eingerichtet und man hat als Gast einen guten ersten Eindruck. Ein Mitarbeiter hat uns begrüßt und einen Tisch im hinteren Bereich zugewiesen. Montags hat das Restaurant "Schnitzeltag" jeweils dazu gibt es einen Salat vom Salatbuffet. Leider wurde seitens des Mitarbeiters, das elektronische Teelicht nicht angezündet. Die Karte wurde uns überreicht und erste Getränkewünsche abgefragt. Was uns zudem aufgefallen ist und auch im späteren Verlauf sich durch das Restaurant zieht, sind jeweils an zentralen Plätzen, wie Salatbuffet, Ablage, Toilette, sind jeweils Küchenrollen abgelegt und hier und da auch Putzmittel. Bestellung: - Kadarka, Rotwein, lieblich, 0,2l für 5,50 € - Portugieser Weißherbst, Rosewein, lieblich, 0,2l für 5,50 € - Bruschetta Caprese, mit Tomaten/Zwiebeln & Mozzarella für 6,90 € - Tomatensuppe, mit Kokosmilch verfeinert, dazu Bandnudeln, Teller für 4,70 € - Ananasspieß, Hähnchenbrustfilet, Rinderfilet & Schweinefilet mit Ananas gegrillt, auf einer leichten Curryrahmsauce, dazu Kroketten + ein Salat vom Salatbuffet für 19,90 € - Natur-Schnitzel (unpaniert), mit Pommes frites + ein Salat vom Salatbuffet für 11,50 € - Espresso 2,80 € - Julischka 2cl für 2,50 € ******************************** Beim dortigen Salatbuffet haben wir leider kleine 1-Tages-Fliegen entdeckt, worauf man seitens der Restaurantleitung besser darauf achten sollte, weil es für den Gast nicht gut wirkt. Essen soweit ok und die Tomatensuppe war definitiv selbstgemacht Größter Kritikpunkt war die Dessertkarte: Die Desserts sind einmal in der normalen Speisekarte vorhanden und ein zweites Mal als separater Aufsteller - ALLERDINGS gegenüber der Speisekarte mit unterschiedlichen Preisen > in der Speisekarte günstiger - Aufsteller höhere Preise. Auf Anfrage beim Mitarbeiter auf diesen Punkt, hat dieser aus unserer Sicht leider sehr ungehalten reagiert und die Aussage getätigt "selbstverständlich gelten die höheren Preise" und auf weitere Nachfrage, hat der Mitarbeiter die Sache eher kleingeredet "man müsste entsprechend die Preise in der Karte ändern, aber deswegen ist ja auch der Dessertaufsteller da, weil dieser gültig sei". Nach dieser Aussage hat sich der Mitarbeiter trotzig umgedreht und ist in der Küche verschwunden. Aus Gästesicht geht so etwas mit unterschiedlichen Preisen und der Reaktion des Personals gar nicht und daher gibt es hier unsererseits auch entsprechend Punktabzüge. Leider kein zufriedenstellender Abschluss, da der Fehler eindeutig und nachweislich beim Restaurant liegt und wir daher auch nicht wie geplant ein Dessert bestellt haben wie wir eigentlich vorhatten, da wir solche Undurchsichtigkeiten nicht dulden bzw. unterstützen.

Whenever we come to Euskirchen, we have to stop at the Mediteran. It's always so delicious and such a friendly atmosphere.

After a medical marathon, we wanted to eat something and then decided on the Mediterranean. We lived in Euskirchen decades ago and had dinner here a few times - seeing each other again after such a time is also interesting. The interior of the restaurant is interesting and cozy; the tables are usually separated from each other so that the noise is easy to bear. My wife ordered a salad with three types of fish and I had the pirate skewer. The fish was fresh and tasty, and the salad was fresh too. However, the dressing was a little sour and the oil was perhaps not completely fresh - but the overall impression was good. My pirate skewer was flawless, both in terms of taste and quality of meat. We will definitely stop by here again when the opportunity arises.

I had reserved a table online for New Year's Eve. When we arrived, I was told by the boss that there was no reservation in my name and that they hadn't offered online reservations for a long time! Then he arrogantly and snooty said that we would have free food and drinks if I could prove it....I showed him the confirmation that I had received by email. Even though it was clear and obvious that the The sender was Mediterran Euskirchen, it was claimed that this email did not come from them....Then he assigned us a very large table in a separate room.The so-called Christmas card was a slimmed down version of the normal card, but the prices were higher.The food It was okay, even if it was carelessly prepared! Then a group of several people entered the restaurant. We had just finished eating when the boss came to the table and said: Then you can go home now... A comida saborosa, o prato servido muito simples para o preço e a carne já chegou à mesa fria. O pior foi cobrarem 4€ em três mini fatias de pão . Com certeza não voltarei

Wir waren am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag spontan im Restaurant. Zwar haben wir nur etwas getrunken, da die Tische alle reserviert waren und von daher keine Möglichkeit zum Essen gegeben war. Trotz der zahlreichen Gäste wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Das nächste mal reservieren wir, zumal auf der Weihnachtskarte sehr leckere Gerichte zu finden waren. Gerne jederzeit wieder.

Beste Qualitäts-Leistung Verhältnis in Euskirchen. Familiäre Ambiente, sehr gut, sehr schönes Lokal, das Essen wird immer frisch zubereitet, nichts aus der Dose. Super Service! Wir kommen immer gerne wieder!

Auch ich war eine der 12 Personen die am gestrigen Abend (Erster Weihnachtsfeiertag)zu Gast war. Ich bin der Ansicht man sollte seine Kritik ehrlich aussprechen als sich im Nachhinein hinter Bewertungen zu verstecken. Das war leider bei der Bedienung nicht möglich. Ihr Verhalten uns gegenüber hat alles an Unverschämtheit übertroffen. Ich gehe nicht an Weihnachten in ein Restaurant essen um dann das Essen serviert zu bekommen als ob es gerade aus der Mikrowelle kommt…Sorry. Dann wurden wir angebrüllt und als Penner bezeichnet vom Chef selber. Unglaublich ehrlich sowas ist mir noch nie passiert. Die Situation hätte man anders lösen müssen. Die Gäste können nichts für den Stress den die Gastronomen haben. Dann sollte man lieber nur annehmen was man auch bewältigen kann

Wir waren dort am zweiten Weihnachtstag essen. Es gab eine abgespeckte Karte, was an den Feiertagen absolut in Ordnung ist. Allerdings war diese Karte wenig kreativ. Es waren nur Standardgerichte vorhanden und wenig weihnachtlich. Das Essen war sehr fade und sehr einfach. Ich gehe normalerweise in ein Restaurant, um Essen zu bestellen, das Ich selbst nicht so gut hinbekomme... Hinzukommt, dass es ein Salatbuffet gab, welches nahezu nur aus Konservengemüse bestand. Ich möchte mich auch nicht in einem Restaurant anstellen, sondern Service erleben...Wobei die Bedienung nett war. Trotzdem keine Empfehlung!

Also ich bin noch total schockiert über das Verhalten der weiblichen Bedienung, nur weil man gesagt hat das das Essen lieblos angerichtet war.. das man sich dann als Gast so anbrüllen lassen muss….. und dann noch gesagt bekommt vom Chef das man ein penner wäre wenn man dann noch eine schlechte Bewertung abgeben würde.. geht gar nicht…eine einfache Entschuldigung hätte es ja getan.. kann man ja verstehen das an solchen Tagen Stress ansteht.. aber wir müssen uns nicht anschreien lassen und als penner lassen wir uns auch nicht betiteln..echt schade.. wir sind dann mit zwölf Personen gegangen.. mit der Bemerkung vom Chef „ Er wäre ja auch vorher 58Jahre lang ohne uns klar gekommen „…

Waren eben mit 12 Personen dort um einen schönen Abend zu haben und haben den Alptraum erlebt. Als die Getränke kamen war eins falsch, schon wurde gesagt das wäre bestellt und wir hätten es zu nehmen. Als das Essen kam wurde direkt Bescheid gesagt das es so nicht bestellt war und es wurde gefragt ob jetzt für die Person ein Schwein geschlachtet werden sollte. Total unfreundlich. Schließlich kam mein Teller ein Steak mit 5 Kroketten drauf geschmissen. Hallo ? Ich habe der jungen Frau gesagt das ich so einen lieblosen Teller noch nie gesehen habe das war wohl das allerletzte. Sie schrie mich sofort an das sie über 400 Essen heute gehabt hätte und das wir froh sein sollten überhaupt etwas zu bekommen. Es eskalierte und sie bezeichneten uns als Penner. Wir sollten das Lokal sofort verlassen sie wären 58 Jahre ohne uns ausgekommen. Nie wieder !!!! Wir müssen uns nicht anschreien lassen und uns beleidigen lassen. Totale Entäuschung Note sechs !!!

Nettes Restaurant mit gut bürgerlicher Küche. Der Service ist sehr zu vorkommend und zügig. Die Speisen werden zu angemessenen Preisen angeboten und sind ausreichend groß. Es können auch Speisen für den kleinen Appetit bestellt werden. Für Weihnachts- oder Familienfeiern sehr gut geeignet.

Wir gehen von Mediterano jedes mal in bester stimmung und dem Gefühl gut &gesund gegessen zu haben nachHause♡ Hier bekommt man/frau, gute mediterane Kost&gute Hausmanskost..zu wirklich fairen Preisen. Qualität der Speisen,bestens. Personal immer freundlich und nicht zu aufdringlich. Ambiente ist angenehm&warm. Wir hätten gern noch an Weihnachten da gespeist,leider schon alles ausgebucht.. Schönes Ambiente welches sich durch einen großen Rundtisch abhebt an dem Familienmitglieder (6 Personen) vom Platz am Tisch her und den Sitzmöglichkeiten genug Körperfreiheit haben. Auch für Rollstuhlfahrer/in ist es dort sehr angenehm Platz zu nehmen. Doch was mir leider viel zu oft auffällt. Unsere Gesellschaft besteht nicht nur aus Reichen & Schönen. Es gibt kaum Möglichkeiten für Rollstuhlfahrer oder Damen & Herren die auf einen Rollator angewiesen sind dort die Sanitären Anlagen aufsuchen zu können. Vielleicht endlich noch mal ein Anreitz für die gesamte Gastronomie!! Vielen lieben Dank Team Restaurant Mediterran für diesen Unvergesslichen Abend!!! 💐🍽

Sehr gutes Essen und freundliche Bedienung! Große Auswahl an Essen - Steaks, jugoslawische und internationale Küche. Es gibt ein kleines Salatbüffet, an dem man sich je nach bestellten Gerichten seinen Salat selbst zusammenstellen kann.

Meine Meinung: für Masochisten geeignet. Der Chef macht die Gäste dafür verantwortlich, daß er gestresst ist, weil er alleine ist im Service. Auf das Bezahlen musste ich 10 Minuten warten. Obwohl der Bezahlvorgang weniger als eine Minute dauerte wurde ich angeranzt, weil es nicht schnell genug war und er alleine wäre usw... Das Essen und Ambiente ist eher unteres Mittelmaß.

Wir gehen gerne essen. Gestern fiel unsere Wahl auf dieses Lokal. Das Ambiente könnte schöner sein. Die Einrichtung spartanisch und die Sitzbänke durchgesessen. Die Krönung war allerdings das Essen. So einen leblosen hergerichtet Teller mit Speisen drauf habe ich noch nicht gesehen. Da legt jede Dönerbude Wert drauf. Das Schweinefilet durchgebraten und sehr trocken. Das Schnitzel war nicht frisch zubereitet und kam als Tiefkühlproduckt gleichmäßig gebraten aus der Friteuse. Der Nachtisch war dann die Krönung. Es gab Palatschinken mal mit Kirschen, mal mit Schokosoße. Auch dieses Produkt war nicht frisch zubereitet, sondern aus der abgepackten fertigen Produktion. Fazit, in jeder Dönerbude in Euskirchen bekomme ich wenigstens etwas für mein Geld. Dieses Lokal ist von meiner Sicht aus nicht empfehlenswert!

War Sonntags dort essen mit meiner Mutter. Es war sehr gut besucht zur Mittagszeit. Hauptsächlich von Senioren, die scheinbar oft und gerne dort essen gehen. Viele wurden mit Namen begrüßt. Essen war lecker, Service sehr gut. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Auf der Speisekarte befinden sich mehr als die üblichen zwei bis drei Seniorengerichte. Soll jetzt nicht heißen, dass das Ambiente nicht für jeden geeignet ist, aber man sieht daran, dass man sich für den Sonntagmittag eingerichtet hat. Auch für kleinere Familienfeiern geeignet.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit sehr aufmerksamer Bedienung und wirklich gutem Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Ich komme bestimmt wieder.

Pfifferlinge in der Saison, perfekt zubereitet mit Zwiebeln und Speck. Hat perfekt geschmeckt. Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und schaut nach dem Rechten. Macht auch kleine Witze mit, sehr angenehm. So macht Essen gehen Spaß.

Das Essen schmeckt ist, aber weitem noch nicht der beste Mediterrane hier in der Umgebung. Für den Preis ist die Portion zu klein und sieht dabei auch noch ziemlich abgezählt aus.
