Such a great dining experience from beginning to end. The food is incredible! The flavors in each dish just meld together in the best way (even the ones you never think would be good alone, let alone together!) You can tell the chefs and staff care about the experience and creating art with the food. It's definitely a must return to the next time I'm in town!

Exceptionally good noble restaurant: the food is something special, the quantity is good and the quality and taste are like in a star restaurant. One of the best restaurants I've visited recently. Parking spaces available directly at the restaurant, in the courtyard. Very friendly welcome and a water bowl for our dog was already available at the place. Big plus point. Service, advice and treatment at the highest level. It was our first time here (and certainly not the last) but at the same time we felt like we were eating here every week. Food very good and very modern. A bit in the upscale direction. Prices are therefore a little higher, but 120% worth it. Gladly again and again!

Short description: Awesome. Longer: The two of us were here a few weeks ago, got a table relatively quickly and ordered the (medium) large menu with wine accompaniment. Highly recommended, because the starter and the chocolates are absolute highlights. An appetizer is recommended, but can be accommodated if desired. The wine was perfectly matched and since the service was provided by the boss and a very knowledgeable employee, it was wonderful. Lots of information about the appropriate wine selection and of course the fantastic food. Prices are not cheap but reasonable. If you're looking for schnitzel with fries for €15, you're unfortunately in the wrong place. If you don't take the menu, you're missing out on something, a real experience. Thank you very much for a lovely evening, rarely have we eaten so well and experienced such good service, even as here in the gourmet area.

We did a birthday dinner for my wife here and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Everything was amazing. The service was better than any I have received in Germany. The wife and husband team worked together beautifully and it felt like we were welcomed into their home with gourmet quality of food and service. Thank you again!

I can give the Maulhelden full marks with a very clear conscience. We spontaneously called to see if a table was available in the evening and were lucky. Service was very good - not too pushy but still, as soon as we had the idea to order something, we were able to order. Every course we were introduced to, what we really eat and that the floral decorations were also home-grown. In terms of taste, it was a complete gourmet journey. The great separation in the room created a great, cozy atmosphere. I can therefore warmly recommend the Maulhelden to everyone. If you want to eat good, tasty food and have a great team and atmosphere, you are in the best place! Thank you very much for the great evening!

Fine cuisine which justifies the prices... the food is a culinary delight and the service is excellent, we will come back.

Every dish is delicious here. Don't underestimate the flavor of anything, from sublime soups, edible flowers in the dish and crazy good tomatoes from the chef's garden it's all memorable. Then there is the great service ranging from selecting from a variety of knives for your steak to a dry ice smoke bomb at your table with desert (who does that!) and a pipette of truffle oil with your entrée. Mind blown. Also easy to order and experience everything as a non-German speaker. Looking forward to dining with them again when I can!

Wir durften bei den Maulhelden den Abend unserer Standesamtlichen Trauung ausklingen lassen und hatten dort eine unvergessliche Zeit. Bereits bei der Auswahl unseres Menüs wurden wir umfänglich, super freundlich und zielorientiert beraten. Das Essen selbst war hervorragend und auf individuelle Wünsche unserer Gäste wurde jederzeit äußerst zuvorkommend und mit einer tollen Professionalität und durchgängig zuvorkommend reagiert. Unseren Abend habt ihr liebes Maulheldenteam super toll begleitet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und empfehlen euch uneingeschränkt weiter!

A special experience every time! First of all, a delicious tomato soup, perfectly seasoned. Then mixed asparagus with pickled salmon is a highlight! And finally, the homemade chocolates to melt away. The two of us had dinner this evening. It was wonderful, attentive service, great explanation of what was on the plate... Fantastic taste. One menu completely vegan, one with meat. Salad and dessert. First of all: we have eaten at Maulhelden several times and have never had a bad experience. We came across the restaurant in 2018 through Instagram and got a taste for the pointed Maultaschen. Since then we have been going there for dinner once or twice a year. In terms of price, taste and the language on the plate, it is on a higher level, although the craftsmanship and the quality of the ingredients justify the price. The menu changes again and again due to the season, availability of ingredients and new kitchen ideas, which always makes it exciting and so there is never any danger of always eating the same thing. We always eat three courses consisting of a starter, main course and dessert, which also includes greetings from the kitchen and a small salad. Every course is convincing in terms of taste. The soups are always a highlight, the salad impresses with its balanced sweetness and acidity. The main courses are always well seasoned and tasty. If you eat rather bland food, you may find it almost too salty, but the well-balanced seasoning and selected components tickle every taste bud. The desserts are always great, exceptional, not standard and round everything off. Which is why they should never be left out.

I had the pleasure of dining at this charming inn and I highly recommend it. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern interpretation of Swabian cuisine. Here are my impressions: Starter: The selection of starters was varied. I chose the homemade beef broth "Mössinger Marsch" with Maultaschen and Knöpfle, which was delicious. The perfect combination of flavors and fresh ingredients. Main course: The asparagus with the salmon was a highlight! A real pleasure. Before that there was a salad. Dessert: The Gentlemen Mousse Au Chocolate with Matcha ice cream rounded off the menu. The matcha ice cream was simply amazing. The atmosphere in the inn was cozy and the service was friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to coming back soon!

The furnishings were completely the opposite of what is offered here in a “classy” way. Gaffabanb and cheap furniture everywhere. Nothing for children at all!!! Our service was very strict and condescending...for leaving a lot of money there. Then she also reprimanded me with the flower because I turned the LED table lamp on and off... The boss when paying (not at the table, by the way, but at the front in the cash register) was super nice!!! I've never eaten dumplings that expensive and I won't again. Too bad 🤷‍♀️

This is the second time I've been there and I'm impressed every time. The food is simply amazing. A pleasure for all senses. Something special for special occasions or to simply do something good for yourself every now and then. We recommend! I'll definitely come back.

There were four of us in the restaurant and chose the small surprise menu with matching wine accompaniment. The food and wine were delicious. We also liked the ambience. What struck us negatively was that the LED table lamp was taken away from us because we had set the lamp three times brighter after the boss had dimmed the lamp. When we asked why she did that, she said that the lamp doesn't light for 4 weeks and that it needs to be charged earlier. We left 370 euros on the table that evening, so there must also be this LED lamp with a bright setting. What a shame actually!

Food & Drinks Good/but not exactly cheap there. Staff friendly.

We came here for lunch for the first time with children and friends. We received a friendly welcome, but we didn't really feel comfortable or welcome. But that is a personal view. There's no real drinks menu, so you don't know what's available or how much it costs. My daily meal was also a surprise in terms of price. We were told that we could ask anything, but I came for dinner and not for question time. Honest? I didn't feel like asking you this or that several times and sometimes you feel like asking something you see and think: Oh, I haven't had that for a long time, I would like that now. Prices are therefore sometimes a surprise. The food: The salad was good, you couldn't really taste the mango caviar, but it was nice to look at. The pork fillet was perfectly cooked, tender and the rest tasted great too. I was personally disappointed with my Maultaschen with truffles; the Maultaschen were too watery and the sauce was too salty. Although beautifully prepared, it was clumsy to cut. There isn't really a choice for children. Our 8 year old son wanted the salmon. The waitress discouraged us from making this dish for children, so we ended up with spaetzle and sauce. Our child was disappointed because he can eat this anywhere. For dessert we had a chocolate mousse. What can I say, I've never had a worse mousse. The taste was good, but the consistency had nothing to do with a mousse. It wasn't fluffy but hard. Even the good ice cream couldn't make up for it. You have to go to the counter to pay, which is not ideal in my opinion. If someone is already there in front of you, the space is a bit cramped and you have to constantly avoid the employees when other employees want to pass. This can be solved better. While waiting, because the waitress at our previous place didn't have the cash register under control, I wanted to show my 8-year-old son a Futurama figure and got to the figure with my nail. The boss's reaction: several snide "don't touch" comments. I really had to control myself not to react to this kind of behavior. When she probably saw the somewhat shocked expression on my face, she said that it was a special gift. That may be true, but 1. Most of the customers who come here probably have so much intellect that they can understand this even with a one-off friendly: "Please don't touch." 2. If the gift is so special, then perhaps a more sheltered place or a sign that says "Please do not touch" is advisable. 3. Even if a child had touched it, even children as young as 8 are intellectually capable of understanding a one-time, friendly “please don’t touch”. This is just a little tip. In total we paid around 110 euros for 2 dishes, spaetzle, 1 dessert and 1 Ben & Jerry ice cream for children, 1 bottle of still water and 2 soft drinks. We eat out at least once a week and appreciate good and fine cuisine. Unfortunately, the Maulhelden did not meet our expectations. Visually very appealing, but only the pork fillet and the small salad impressed us in terms of taste. We would have liked a drinks menu and more transparency in the prices, then you could save yourself the question time. For us it is therefore not worth another visit from Albstadt.

So overall okay, you can even find out what the food is made of; you make an effort to make yourself feel good...

A culinary mega highlight every time from start to finish! We love going to Tini & Markus and their Maulhelden team on special occasions. They are very competent and friendly, there is a family atmosphere, which we love. We celebrated our wedding with them in 2022 and our guests were absolutely thrilled afterwards. The food blows us away every time because there is always something new to discover in terms of taste. Every dish (including vegetarian and vegan!) is thought through down to the smallest detail and then prepared and served with so much love. You can see and taste it! Keep it up! 😊

“Fine cuisine” comes from taste and quality and not from flowery words. The Maultaschen were good but completely drowned in the dark, completely over-seasoned so-called umami sauce. The whole thing for 2 Maultaschen 30 euros. I'm happy to let real fine dining cost a lot more than 150 euros, but unfortunately it wasn't worth the money. I gave the Maulhelden another chance after 5 years - unfortunately no match!

Wir konnten bereits mehrmals einen Abend bei den Maulhelden verbringen und wurden nie enttäuscht. Die Küche ist ausgesprochen kreativ und würzt mutig. Das kann dann vielleicht auch einmal über den persönlichen Geschmack hinausgehen, aber wenn man nicht an Grenzen geht, kann man den Horizont auch nicht erweitern. An den Soßen wird nicht gespart. Das kann dazu führen, dass die Soße den Teller zu sehr dominiert. Aber man müsste sie ja nicht aufessen. Allerdings sind wir nun mal in Schwaben Sossenliebhaber und sie sind zu lecker. Die Portionen sind sehr reichhaltig. Bei den ansonsten sehr empfehlenswerten Überraschungsmenüs kann das zum Problem werden bzw. das Dessert zur Herausforderung. Die Desserts sollte man sich aber keinesfalls entgehen lassen. Hier sieht man die Frankreicherfahrung des Kochs, wo Desserts einen ganz anderen Stellenwert genießen als bei uns. Die Weinauswahl ist übersichtlich aber ausreichend und gut zusammengestellt. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Zusammengefasst: das ist natürlich keine Sterneküche, aber eine Küche, die etwas besonderes bietet und aus dem Allerlei herausragt. Das Gesamtpaket stimmt einfach.

Ich war zum zweiten Mal dort und hatte beide Male das Überrachungsmenü. Was soll ich sagen? Essen, Service, Ambiente und Wohlbefinden 10/10. Das Essen ist mit Liebe gemacht und das Personal sehr herzlich. Es gibt zahlreiche Besonderheiten und Special-Effects bei der Präsentation. Man wird definitiv positiv überrascht. Ich empfehle jedem einen Besuch. Neben dem qualitativ sehr hochwertigen Essen schätze ich ganz besonders die lockere Atmosphäre. Kein Schickimicki trotz gehobener Gastronomie. Diese Kombination kenne ich so nicht in München, wo ich wohne.

Wir waren gestern zum ersten Mal dort. Das Essen war der Wahnsinn. Man "schmeckt" die Leidenschaft die in jedem Gericht steckt. Wenn man toll Essen möchte, ist man dort genau richtig. Super nette Menschen, deren Ziel ist, ihr Gäste glücklich zu machen. Daumen hoch!!!

Es war wieder alles sehr lecker! Die Chefin die auch die Kunden bedient ist ein absoluter Gastro Profi. Essen ist spitzenklasse! Immer wieder gerne!

Außergewöhnliches Restaurant. Jedes Mal ein Geschmackserlebnis. Das Essen ist toll angerichtet und wird entsprechend schmackhaft serviert. Auch Vegetarier kommen auf ihre Kosten. Absolut freundliches Service-Personal.

Erstklassiger Service mit persönlicher Beratung, sehr hochwertiges und leckeres Essen. Durchaus auch für Personen, die mal etwas ausgefalleneres probieren möchten. Auch die Auswahl der Getränke war zum Niveau durchaus passend. Das einzige, was uns nicht gefallen hat: es gab keine Getränkekarte, daher fehlt die Preistransparenz. Sonst alles Klasse, weit über Durchschnitt. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Ein Besuch bei den Maulhelden ist für uns immer wie ein bisschen "Heimkommen". Nirgendwo haben wir schon so exzellent und besonders gegessen wie hier. Die immer wechselnde Speisekarte ist unheimlich abwechslungsreich und bietet für jeden Gaumen etwas delikates an. Jedes Gericht ist eine Überraschung aus perfekt aufeinander abgestimmten Komponenten und die Küche schafft es immer wieder auf's Neue, einfachste Zutaten zu einem ganz besonderen Geschmackserlebnis zu verwandeln. Man fühlt sich stets willkommen und wird von der charmanten Bedienung bestens versorgt und beraten. Ein Abend bei den Maulhelden ist nicht nur ein Essen, sondern ein Genuss, der in Erinnerung bleibt. AUSGEZEICHNET - ERSTKLASSIG - BESONDERS Wir können dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Meine persönliche Eindrücke waren: Tolles Essen allen 5 Personen hat es geschmeckt. Seltsame Teller / Schüsseln, die nach viel ausschauen (soll vermutlich so sein) sind jedoch beim Verzehr etwas unpassend sind. Der Service ich denke die Dame ist die Geschäftsführerin hat ihren eigen Stil, den man mögen kann oder auch nicht. Jedoch bei der Frage nach einer Getränkekarte die Antwort zu bekommen "Ich bin die Karte" ist doch seltsam. Ich kann dann mit einem Frage- Antwortspiel beginnen: Welches Bier von welcher Brauerei haben Sie und was kostet das? Gibt es dies in 0,3L oder 0,5L? Vom Fass oder aus der Flasche etc...? und das gleiche beim Wein, dies ist mir und meinem Begleitern zu blöd. Die Preise sind schon sehr ambitioniert, meiner Meinung muss dann alles passen, der Service und vom Ambiente und das tut es nicht, auch nicht mit Heizlüfter im Gastraum...

Eigentlich möchte ich 10 Sterne geben. Ich reise und esse gerne edel, dieses Erlebnis hat alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir waren für einen Überraschungsgeburtstag hier und wir können es nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Bringe Zeit und gut Hunger mit. Das Team ist absolut erste Klasse

Waren vor kurzen da und wurden nicht gerade höflich begrüßt, die Bedienung war etwas überheblich. Meiner Frau hat es sehr gut geschmeckt und der Teller sah auch sehr lecker aus. Ich selbst hatte ein Risotto, was nicht meinen Geschmack getroffen hat. Die Portionen sind etwas klein, besser nicht mit Hunger hingehen. Im Gasthaus hat es etwas muffig gerochen und es wurde mit einem Gasheizer wie auf der Baustelle geheizt. Auch die Einrichtung ist nicht so schön. Gefallen hat uns, das man auf regionale Produkte zurückgreifen tut. Leider muss ich sagen, das wir das Essen viel zu teuer fanden. Man ist zu zweit gleich 80 bis 100 € los. Auch die Getränke sind überteuert, eine Flasche Teinacher 0,7 Kosten 7€

Essen war überragend lecker, Bedienung und Chefin waren sehr freundlich und engagiert, Salat und Nachtich als echtes Highlight!

Das Restaurant Maulhelden ist etwas besonderes in Mössingen. Gehobene regionale Küche die stark auf saisonale Ansätze abgestimmt ist. Das Essen war sehr gut und ansprechend angerichtet. Allerdings habe ich auch noch nie so viel Geld für Maultaschen bezahlt. Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeitenden ist toll und trotz allem hat sich bei uns kein Wohlfühlgefühl eingestellt, dies ist aber lediglich ein subjektiver Eindruck. Wer sehr gut Essen möchte und bereit ist dafür auch etwas mehr zu bezahlen, der ist bei den Maulhelden in Mössingen goldrichtig.

Unsere Erfahrung war schlichtweg hervorragend! Der Service war äußerst kompetent und zuvorkommend, das Ambiente modern und ansprechend gestaltet, und das Essen verdient definitiv die Bestnote. Die Weinempfehlung passte hervorragend zur Auswahl der Speisen. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Das Angebot an Aperitifs war begrenzt, und ein regionaler Aperitif hätte das Erlebnis abgerundet. Insgesamt ein gelungener Abend in einem außergewöhnlich guten Restaurant. Volle Punktzahl und Dank an das Team für die hervorragende Leistung! Erfolgreiche Zukunft voraus.

Überraschend Gut. Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mitten in Mössingen. Man merkt dass der sehr kreative Koch sein Handwerk eindeutig von der Pike auf gelernt und durch viele Weiterbildungen wie mir scheint perfektioniert hat. Ich finde es immer wieder schön wenn regionale Gerichte interessant interpretiert werden. Ich war von den Speisen sehr begeistert. Geschmacklich wie auch visuell. Meine Weinempfehlung war auf den Punkt getroffen und passte sehr gut zu meiner Auswahl der Speisen. Einen minimalen Kritikpunkt hätte noch. Nach der Frage nach einem Aperitif wurde uns nur ein Haus Aperitif angeboten welcher meiner Meinung nicht so spannend war. Ich hätte mich über einen badischen Vermut, Portwein oder Ähnliches gefreut. Einfach einen Appetitanreger. Da gibt's bestimmt einige Winzer oder Destillerien welche solch regionale Produkte anbieten. Mit einem guten Aperitif hätte ich bestimmt noch ein Dessert geschafft. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend in einem außergewöhnlich guten Restaurant. Volle Punktzahl von mir. Danke an das Team und weiter so. Ich sehe eine erfolgreiche Zukunft für euch.

Ganz nett, aber einmal hat uns gereicht. Das Essen ist gut, aber nicht so großartig wie es anstrengend angepriesen wird - Antoniewicz Training mit Zertifikat abgeschlossen! Wir haben keine Getränkekarte gesehen, also keine konkrete Information, was man ins Glas bekommt (außer man bekommt die Flasche). Die Lokalität lässt leider nur eine enge Bestuhlung zu.

Entspricht nicht ganz dem, was man darstellt. Die Servietten Maultaschen waren etwas verhalten, sodass ein Geschmacksunterschied gar nicht festgestellt werden konnte. Beim Wein, vielleicht mögen nicht alle Gäste sich ausschließlich dem Geschmack der Wirtin hingeben, sondern selbst entscheiden. Zudem, ein Weißwein Barrique, war dann etwas zu voluminös. Der Service verdient Lob.

Von Freunden wurden uns schon mehrfach von den Maulhelden vorgeschwärmt, entsprechend groß waren die Erwartungen und wir mussten unbedingt endlich mal hin. Was soll ich sagen? Unsere Erwartungen wurden grandios übertroffen, selten so gut gegessen. Ein echtes kulinarisches Highlight, dazu ein Top-Service. Großen Respekt, weiter so!

In meinem ganzen Leben habe ich noch nie so gutes Essen bekommen. Wir bedanken uns für diesen bewegenden, zauberhaften und außergewöhnlichen Moment des Genusses. Jedes Gericht ist ein Erlebnis, da macht Essen richtig Spaß. Das Service Personal ist sehr freundlich und jeder Wunsch wird mit freude erfüllt. Das Ambiente hat uns auch super gefallen. Ein Restaurant mit Sinn für Qualität und Klasse, mit Leidenschaft, einem Blick für leicht außergewöhnliche Gerichte und das zu einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und mit einer super Bedienung! Von dieser Sorte gibt es leider viel zu wenige. Alles super, weiter so!

Ich war begeistert von diesem gemütlichen Restaurant. Das Essen war wirklich lecker und die Atmosphäre sehr einladend. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die kreativen vegetarischen Gerichte, die wirklich ein Genuss waren. Ich kann das Maulhelden jedem empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach einer entspannten Mahlzeit in einer angenehmen Umgebung ist

We are in Germany visiting family. We live in the United States. We love, love, loved our dinner tonight. The wait staff was amazing and Chef did an amazing presentation of the food. We didn't order from the menu. Each course was a mystery to us until it was brought to our table. The females at the table enjoyed the wine that was paired with the food. The men enjoyed the beer. Come hungry! Be prepared to pay a lot, but it is worth every penny. When we return to Germany, we will visit this restaurant again.

Sehr gute, leckere und innovative deutsche Küche. Wunderschöne deutsche Weine. Sehr kompetente und freundliche Personal (besonders Chefin). Das sind Komponenten die Maulhelden von anderen Restaurants hervorheben. Alles in einem: wir haben unsere neue Lieblings Restaurant gefunden.
