Unfortunately, the new operators cannot build on old times. We wanted to have something to eat and I still had fond memories of the Marktschänke. I should have been suspicious the first time because we were the only guests at 6:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the food was prepared with little love and taste. The meat was dry and fried, the side dishes looked like they came from a plastic tray. Not recommended in my opinion.

I ended up here on a business trip. Very good, high quality food, friendly staff and great ambience!

Well eaten, price-performance ratio is right! Nice and courteous service. We didn't know that the owner had since changed and could no longer redeem a voucher we received for Christmas from 12/23. The new owner can't help it because the previous one is busy selling vouchers for Christmas and then closing it down a few days later. We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, a new owner recently took over, so I have no idea. Müsta test. The old owner was great.

‼️‼️‼️ I feel cheated Before Christmas a lot of vouchers were sold, after Christmas the market tavern was closed, now the market tavern is open again, the vouchers are no longer valid. Display is running. This was all done intentionally. Because I know I'm closing the shop. 110€ gone and it's a shame I don't trust anyone anymore.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with traditional Balkan music in the background. The food was very tasty and looked good too. The service was also great! The staff was friendly, attentive and gave us good recommendations. Definitely worth recommending!

In addition to traditional Balkan dishes, the menu also includes German dishes. The prices are very good. Big recommendation from me!!

I was in this restaurant on Christmas Eve with my son and his partner. Friendly welcome, Nice ambience, Very well-kept staff. For now, Sohnemann has ordered a bowl of tzatziki with bread. Simply delicious. For the main course I had medallions with pepper sauce and croquettes, perfect, just a bit too much for me. The bill was limited, I had expected more. Risk of recurrence 100 percent. Only applies to me because my son lives in the USA (his partner is American). Best wishes to everyone and a good year 2024

To be honest... I had never had a unique experience at Marktschänke before!!!! You reserve a table for New Year's Eve, December 31st, 2023, and as soon as you get there, the door says it's closed due to a lack of staff!? I thought it was a bad joke!! I would have been able to understand if you were called despite having a reservation because you had provided your phone number. Would have been my first visit and after this experience I will certainly not come again. As I said, first experience of this kind. It's good that there are other restaurants on the same street that accepted you even without a reservation. I really wonder how many employees were considering having a New Year's Eve with?! Hope not with a handful. For me personally, very bad management and I will not recommend this restaurant.

The food would be served very carelessly. Just a schnitzel on a plate, fries on the side, ready. A salad in a small bowl without dressing. I mean, this is still a restaurant but I have had better experiences with some fries parlors. Not so quickly again, thank you

I'm totally upset. We've been going to the Marktschänke for years and have always been satisfied and now we've been so disappointed at Christmas. Point 1 is, it was totally overpriced, a plate over 20 euros and really so little on the plate for that much money, we found that really outrageous. Point 2 we all had a dry salad without any dressing and presented carelessly. Then some things were forgotten on the plate. Point 3 Mayonsaise and ketchup for 4 people only a mini bowl which wasn't nearly enough. Point 4, the fries were undercooked and tasteless. Point 5, when we brought this up, the waiter responded in a friendly manner, but didn't ask us anything to make it up to us. Point 6, after visiting the restaurant, I made a little something to eat at home because the portions were really small for the price. Point 7 There was really little choice on the menu and the price/performance ratio didn't match at all, for example there was only one soup to choose from and the chicken soup cost a whopping 9 euros. That's why we won't be coming back. Very unfortunate.

Were there today on Christmas Eve. Were very disappointed with the food. The salad without dressing. The fries weren't cooked through. When I asked, they just passed this on. Been coming here for Christmas for years... But this time everything was prepared very carelessly. Won't come anymore.

Great meal with great service. The steak was awesome but the service was better. They spoke English well and we very accommodating to us.

Früher war es besser. Die Tagessuppe und der Salat (wenig Dressing) schmecken einfach nur nach Knoblauch. Ich habe Cevapcici bestellt - einfach nur trocken. Dort gehen wir nicht noch einmal essen

Sehr leckeres Essen, dass auch optisch schön aufbereitet war. Vorweg gab es eine sehr gute Fleischbrühe mit Eierstich, hinterher wahlweise einen Julitschka oder Kaffee.

Alles in Allem gut... Allerdings fehlte mir bei der Bestellung meines Steaks die Frage nach dem "Gargrad"... Gluecklicherweise kam es medium. Das Cordon Bleu meines Mannes war ok... Allerdings hatten wir das Gefühl, dass es nicht frisch zubereitet wurde, sondern vorgefertigt war. Gerichte waren heiss.. Getraenke gut gekühlt. Ambiente: gemuetlich Service :gut Erstaunlich... sehr wenige Gäste fuer einen Sonntag Abend. Gerne wieder

Empfehlenswert!!! 👍 Wir waren zum ersten Mal in der Marktschänke Lippstadt. Wir empfehlen das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter. Das Restaurant befindet sich direkt an der Kirche in Lippstadt, und somit in der Innenstadt. Genau vor dem Restaurant gibt es reichlich Parkplätze. Das Ambiente ist klein gemütlich . Der Service ist top. Dir Mitarbeiter sind ieinfach nur nett und zuvorkommend. Es wird sich vorzüglich um alles gekümmert und versucht auf jeden Wunsch einzugehen. Das Essen war schnell am Tisch. Das saftige Fleisch war der Hammer ☺️👍nicht trocken, genau durch. Die Portionen sind groß und mehr als ausreichend. Trotz Kirmes Samstag war alles bestens organisiert. Wir empfehlen mit 5 sterben weiter und kommen gerne wieder. Weiter so 👍

Das Essen war sehr lecker, kam schnell und heiß zum Tisch. Das Fleisch war von guter Qualität und gut zubereitet. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend, herzlich und beantwortete Fragen zu den Gerichten gut und freundlich. Das Ambiente hat mir ebenfalls gut gefallen, auf mich wirkte dieses sehr bequem, wohlig und Charmant. Kann das Restaurant jedem weiterempfehlen.

Ich war hier das aller erste mal essen und bin begeistert. Der junge Chef und das Team sind aufmerksam und total freundlich. Das Essen als auch der Preis hat uns allen super gefallen und können es wirklich nur weiterempfehlen!

Haben hier schonmal vor Jahren gegessen und waren begeistert damals. Leider ist die Bewirtung ein Trauerspiel, Lokal war leer und ich mußte nach 20 Minuten mein Bier am Tresen nachholen. Essen war aber gut.
