Everything in this beautiful restaurant seems very authentic. The decor, the friendly waitresses in traditional costumes and of course the delicious food. In the past I had never had any contact with Indian cuisine and was therefore initially very unsure whether I would find something for myself. But the concern was completely unfounded. It simply tastes excellent.

Great, very friendly service, highly recommended food!! Here you should always work through the map. (Tandoori oven available). I think price/performance is completely okay. Parking is available in front of the door and on the main street. There is plenty of comfortable seating inside. An ambience point deduction due to the busy street which cannot always be hidden outside.

We had a very tasty Indian meal here. The service is attentive and friendly. There were papadums as a starter and rice and naan for the 4 main courses, all 4 of which were very good. The prices are pretty cheap. There are parking spaces right in front of the door. We'd love to come back.

The three of us had dinner yesterday. It was my first time in this great restaurant, I come from Cologne. In fact, I have never had such good Indian food. It was outstanding. I will definitely come back. We had Palak Paneer (super delicious), No.100 (delicious) and No.56 (delicious). From the food to the service to the location... Wonderful! The prices are surprisingly low, which we also find very nice.

I can confirm that about the aluminum foil, it's a shame. We were there on Sunday evening and the restaurant was very full. Unfortunately, it is much too narrow for a comfortable meal, it was very unpleasant to hear the loud conversations and smells coming from the left and right. Unfortunately too much aluminum foil. Everything was packed with it, even the bowls for the bread. Unfortunately it spoils the whole atmosphere, which is a shame. Had different types of meat, which actually all tasted the same. It's a shame, it could definitely be better. Service is good.

We were lucky and spontaneously got a place for the two of us. The atmosphere and service were great. The Indian food (we had a menu for two) was balanced in terms of spices, a little more spiciness could have been used, but we didn't order extra spicy either. If we are in the area again, we would definitely come here again.

I just love the Maharaja! Every time you walk in you smell delicious food. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and there is something to look at everywhere. The service is always very attentive and everyone is friendly and structured. The best thing about the Maharaja is of course the large selection of food with lots of great, fresh and simply delicious dishes that are beautifully presented. I'm glad that we have such an extraordinary restaurant in Iserlohn and I always enjoy coming here.

It would be hard to find a better Indian in the Dortmund area. The food is good and plentiful across the menu. Every taste, even those less inclined to Indian food, will find something tasty here. The service is okay, if a bit slow at times, but this is always due to the fact that the restaurant is always extremely busy in the evenings. This is the only point of criticism. The operators aimed for maximum utilization of the available space. This makes it cramped, warm and loud. That's a bit of a shame, but of course the economic interest is completely understandable. In the end, it is definitely worth visiting the Maharaja.

Three of us (mother-in-law, wife and I) came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered normal food. We were served Nan bread for the main course, but without the traditional yogurt dip. We kindly ordered this and received a small mini bowl (for three people!!!) with an indefinable yoghurt sauce that tasted more like tzatziki, and in combination with the nan bread it didn't really taste that good. The main course was very good. Although my mother-in-law's dish (Tikka lamb, Tikka chicken, Tandori chicken) also had bones on the meat of the Tikka chicken (it's normal with Tandori chicken). We were not asked by the service whether we would like more rice or for more drinks, even though our glasses were visibly empty. At the neighboring table, however, the guests were courted endlessly and always politely asked for more drinks and rice. The scoop came at the end: I asked the older of the two service ladies for the bill. We waited and waited. The remaining guests were cashed in and the restaurant was already empty. It has already been re-set for the evening. And we still sat at our table and waited (25-30 minutes) until the younger service lady tried to come to our table. There was no question whether it was tasty or whether we were satisfied. The comment that we paid for our dishes separately didn't make the young lady any more motivated... it should be clear that you don't tip in such a desert of service... We felt that we were treated in an absolutely derogatory manner (maybe even discriminated against) because the guests around us were courted and served in a friendly manner. We can only guess whether it was because of our dark appearance (black clothes, partly black hair, Nordic jewelry), my braided long beard and my long braid of hair (Nordic style). Maybe. This style was off-putting, but we are never unkind and/or disrespectful. We would also like to make it clear: We have NOTHING to do with brown and right-wing people and the corresponding ideas. We have many friends and acquaintances from different cultures and religions. We treat everyone with respect and expect the same in return. Maybe. It's different every week, but we won't be entering this location again. Very unfortunate.

Nothing wrong with the ambience and service. Everything was perfect . Unfortunately the food was a bit mild, I guess it was largely adapted to European tastes. Still very tasty, unfortunately we expected it to be a little different.

It's soooo delicious...and everyone is very nice and accommodating. It's not for nothing that the parking lot is packed every evening. Luckily I live next door and can often order something there for home. It's just soooo delicious. Keep it up 10 stars...

Es war so fantastisch in diesem Restaurant! Das Essen ist total lecker und sogar der Käse ist selbstgemacht! Das Personal ist sehr sympathisch und sehr nett. Man fühlt sich richtig wohl. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, man schaut es sich gerne an während man isst. Die Atmosphäre in dem Restaurant ist sehr entspannend und ruhig. Man verlässt das Restaurant satt und glücklich.

Das beste indisches Restaurant von der Region! Ich mag es sehr, dass man extra Reis Beilage kostenlos bekommt.

Ich hatte einen köstlichen Abend im indischen Restaurant. Das Essen war hervorragend und hat meine Geschmacksknospen wirklich verwöhnt. Das Personal im indischen Restaurant war ausgesprochen freundlich, und die gemütliche Einrichtung hat den Besuch besonders angenehm gemacht. Empfehlenswert ist, das Menü zu bestellen, um die Vielfalt der Köstlichkeiten zu erleben. Eine großartige Möglichkeit, viele verschiedene Gerichte zu probieren und den vollen Genuss des indischen Geschmacks zu entdecken. Außerdem kann man die Gerichte zum mitnehmen bestellen, was wir in Zukunft auch machen werden.

Sowohl das Essen als auch der Service 1A. Höfliches Personal und angenehmes Ambiente. Das Essen war wunderbar und preislich mehr als in Ordnung! Ich war voll und ganz zufrieden. immer wieder gerne!

Alles super und sehr gutes Essen

Reserviert man 2 Wochen vorher telefonisch, für z.B. Nikolausabend, heißt es nur: "Alles klar, alles klar !!". Erscheint man dann, ist nichts klar, alle Plätze belegt, kein Tisch reserviert. Keinerlei Notiz (Name, Uhrzeit) vorhanden. Schnell weiterziehen ... unprofessionell. Ansonsten ist das Essen wirklich lecker.

So ein perfekter Ort, für wirklich gutes Essen und Service. Vorallem die vegetarische und vegane Vielfalt ist einfach nur Hammer! Meine absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant. Bis bald 🙏

Das Essen ist Hervorragend. Wir kommen extra aus Dortmund. Und das reservieren sollte man nicht vergessen. Den es ist fast immer voll bis zum letzten Platz

Wir sind mindestens 2 mal im Monat dort. Essen war bis jetzt immer sehr lecker und die Bedienung ist immer freundlich. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich. Das Preis-Leistungverhältnis ist auch top Sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr gutes Essen und schneller Service. Neben den Hauptspeisen sind die Vorspeisen ebenfalls zu empfehlen, zb die Pakora-Platte mit Käse und Hähnchen. Dazu eine Portion Raita und noch heißes Naanbrot - immer wieder lecker

Ich war zum ersten Mal dort, und muss sagen dass es nicht mein Essen ist. Aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. Egal was bestellt wird es kommt immer für jeden Kunden in kleinen indischen Töpfchen in denen das Essen auch warm gehalten wird,. Wir waren mit vier Leuten dort, alle bekamen das gleiche Töpfchen nur mit unterschiedlichem Inhalt, also die Soßen werden auf gar keinen Fall frisch zubereitet das Fleisch wird frisch in die unterschiedlichen Soßen gelegt und das war es auch, aber alles in allem eine gute Atmosphäre nette Bedienung und es gibt nichts über was man sich wirklich beschweren könnte und das will ich auch gar nicht. Für mich persönlich ist diese Schwärmerei von dem Restaurant überbewertet, aber das muss halt jeder für sich selbst herausfinden. Die Preise sind vollkommen in Ordnung.

Wir waren heute mit 8 Personen dort zum Abendessen und waren rundum zufrieden. Tolles passendes Ambiente, sehr nette und schnelle Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr lecker . Die Preise sind absolut angemessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. 👍👍👍👍👍

Erste Mal indisch essen. Das war einzigartig gut. Mal was anderes. Wir werden bald schon wieder hingehen.

Kurz und knackig: Ausgesprochen lecker! Die Gerichte, wir hatten das Fischmenu mit Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeise für 2 Personen, war sehr facettenreich und trotzdem ausgewogenen im Geschmack. Man schmeckt die frischen Kräuter und Zutaten, ein kleines Gaumenfeuerwerk. Die Menge war reichlich, der Service sehr zuvorkommend und die Preise im Vergleich zu Münster Westf. günstig. Das Ambiente ist geschmackvoll und von der Geräuschkulisse, trotz vieler Gäste angenehm und nicht zu laut. Klasse Inder, Dankeschön für das tolle Abendessen!

Wir hatten mit 17 Personen draußen reserviert, wurden aber drinnen platziert mit der Angabe, die Terrasse sei nicht für so viele Menschen ausgelegt... naja Das Essen war gut, allerdings waren die Portionen sehr übersichtlich, was wiederum die niedrigen Preise erklärt. Der Service war aufmerksam und sehr freundlich.

Essen war sehr sehr gut! Der Service war unfassbar freundlich und alles in einem eine absolute Empfehlung von mir hier essen zu gehen! Ich hatte die Nr. 47 und war sehr begeistert!

Sehr gutes Essen mit für uns ungewöhnlich guten Gewürzen

…. geschmacklich ist es nichts herausragendes. Location: an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße gelegen, gut zu finden. Es werden kostenfreie Parkplätze angeboten. Das Lokal bietet einen großen Gastraum und eine Terrasse. Eine Tischreservierung ist empfehlenswert, denn am Sonntag um 20 Uhr haben wir den letzten 2er Tisch im Gastraum ergattert und DIESER war so! klein, das man mit den Knien zusammenstößt und die Speisen geradeso Platz darauf fanden. Sanitäranlagen: sauber. Schlicht. Speisen: kamen sehr schnell. Waren jedoch nicht inspirierend, so das ich keine Fotos gemacht habe. Bestellt haben wir: Butter Chicken, Lamm Madras, Paneer Naan. Optisch sahen beide Hauptgerichte aus, als wären sie in der gleichen Sauce zubereitet. Obwohl das Lamm als scharf ausgezeichnet, war es das nicht! und die Sauce auch nicht würzig, sondern reichhaltig und sahnig. Und das Fleisch hätte deutlich zarter sein können! Das Hühnchen war ok, das Paneer Naan lecker. Positiv ist, das Reis und Naan zum Essen gereicht werden und auch nachgefüllt werden ohne Aufpreis. Getränke sind preislich im Rahmen. Insgesamt bin ich nicht so glücklich heimgefahren, Speisen durchschnittlich. Ich würde dem Lokal jedoch eine 2. Chance mit einem anderen Hauptgericht geben.

Obwohl dieses wunderschöne Lokal fast vor unserer Haustür ist, habe ich immer Lokale mit deftiger Küche bevorzugt. Nachdem ich aber nunmehr nach einer Magenverkleinerung nur noch kleine Portionen essen kann, war ich doch sehr überrascht über die leichte und bekömmliche indische Küche. Geschmacklich waren die Gerichte genau wie ich sie mag. Die umfangreiche Karte mit indischen Köstlichkeiten bietet sicherlich für jeden Geschmack das Richtige zu moderaten Preisen. Das Haus ist familiengeführt und der Kunde ist König bzw. es herrscht eine sehr angenehme und aufmerksame Atmosphäre, so dass man sich sehr willkommen fühlt. Für unseren ersten Besuch waren wir sehr angetan und wir werden dieses Lokal sicherlich nunmehr häufiger besuchen.

Wir kommen gerne auch von weiter entfernt in dieses familiengeführte indische Restaurant. Man fühlt sich hier willkommen geheißen. Vom ersten Moment. Die Speisen sind durch die Bank abwechslungsreich und ausgesprochen lecker. Normal scharf = ist angepasst nicht wirklich scharf. Wer mag… separat Chili 🌶️ am besten. Die Freundlichkeit ist wirklich hervorzuheben. Wir wählen oft die div. Menüs. Die Chicken Soupe. Genial. Die Platten ebenso. Die Mango Creme ist ganz ok. Der super süße Mango Likör .. ist nicht unsers 😅. Ansonsten. Wir kommen so gern wieder

Wir besuchen sehr lange das Restaurant Maharaja immer wieder schön ☺️. Eine sehr nette Familie und in traditionellen indischer Kleidung angezogen.

Das Essen und auch der Service sind kontinuierlich sehr gut. Wir sind immer wieder angenehm überrascht darüber. Andere Gäste müssen dies genau so sehen, denn es ist immer sehr gut besucht.
