The food was great, but everything else was a disaster. I have rarely experienced such unfriendly service. Unfortunately, that was my first and last time there.

We enjoyed the food. The service and atmosphere were also good. The truffle dumplings were filling, but a rather small portion compared to the other dishes. We also found it quite noisy in the evenings due to the acoustics.

Very tasty, I can highly recommend it.

The restaurant is located on the beautiful, yet expansive grounds of Monrepos Castle (pronounced French). There are also many other buildings and a golf club there. The golf club parking lot is the closest (100 meters), while another is about 300 meters away (Monrepos parking lot). It's a bit difficult to find the first time, as it's right at the back in the corner – see map or Google Maps. New, modern, light wood, large terrace and beer garden, overlooking a well-maintained, attractive golf course with a pond and fountain. When it's full, no one answers the phone. Service is neutral. Side salad, dressing just smeared on. Pancake soup is good. The soup and sauces, however, looked like ready-made powder to me. Frozen fries and meat are good. And why does NO ONE use a hygienic lemon zest press anymore? I'll probably pack one in my handbag. Restrooms in the basement. No daylight, no windows, and from the hallway onward, only motion sensor lights in key locations. For the ladies, 2 cabins, changing table, clean.

Absolutely satisfied with the price/performance ratio. Access to the dark in the evening. Definitely recommended.

We were there with a small group for our civil wedding reception and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon/evening. From the initial table selection to the execution of the table arrangements and, of course, the cakes and food, we were very pleased. The service was also always attentive, without being intrusive. Truly a beautifully located, top-notch address with an appealing ambiance and a small but fine selection of "favorite dishes" :)

We celebrated my mother's 90th birthday. We had a wonderful spot. The service and food were outstanding. We felt very comfortable, and everyone was thrilled.

Last Monday, August 18, 2025, the food was once again delicious. There were three of us and we were served very well in sunny weather on the beautiful terrace. On June 17, 2025, four of us went to Leibspeise. With husband, girlfriend, and dog Ludwig...he also enjoyed it and was very well behaved. It was incredibly delicious, and we had a lovely terrace seat with very pleasant, friendly, and attentive service. We'll be back 😋🍀 And on June 12, 2025, my husband and I went to Leibspeise for lunch. Delicious as always! We'd love to come back 🤗 In 2024, we went there again and enjoyed lunch. Every now and then, we also enjoyed a cozy summer evening with friends. Delicious, freshly cooked dishes. Simply fantastic. One of the most delicious chocolate mousses!!!! We really like the modern ambiance. We're always happy to come back. Great team 🤗

A very bad experience – absolutely unacceptable Our visit was a disaster. While my wife was being poured a glass of wine, the waitress's bottle dripped directly onto my pants. Instead of apologizing or at least showing concern, she simply acted as if nothing had happened – an affront to every paying guest. As if that weren't enough, my child then took my empty wine glass and poured water into it. Of course, I wanted a new glass – but I had to ask her three times. Instead of responding professionally, the waitress simply hurled an annoyed, "I've already heard you, you can say it a fourth time." I've never experienced anything like this: ignorance, rudeness, and shocking disrespect. The lady was not only completely untrained, but also extremely poorly mannered and lacking any sense of how to interact with guests. For a restaurant that sets a certain standard, this behavior is a disaster and simply inexcusable.

All around great package with very tasty food and fair prices

Very delicious food. Our food was on the table in less than 10 minutes after ordering. The schnitzel was extremely tasty and I would recommend it. The price/performance ratio was reasonable. The atmosphere was great; we felt comfortable. The restrooms were very modern and located in the basement. There's also a shoe shiner outside. See you soon, we'd love to come back!

Actually, the food was good and the ambiance was nice. But a 90-minute wait for the food, half of the ham in the appetizer was inedible and sliced far too thick, the side salad was served with the comment: "We're out of lettuce, we've added more raw vegetables," and when I mentioned that I didn't really like that, the response was, "It's going away" (and I was charged for it afterwards, despite it being returned).... There's definitely room for improvement.

First, an experience: Twice in the past six months, we wanted to try the restaurant. The chef is no stranger to the district. I had the same experience twice. I called around noon, it rang, I took a breath, and a male voice brusquely informed me: We're busy and can't take your call. Bang, the phone hung up before I could say a word. Well, that was a clear message for me. I have many restaurants. Then, as part of a ladies' group, I went there for lunch, and I adjusted. It was busy, with a nice atmosphere and friendly and prompt service. What was strange to me was that our soft drinks were brought to the table in sealed bottles. Generally good, but I'm spoiled and not used to unscrewing the bottle myself and pouring the first sip. Except maybe in a beer garden. We mastered that. The schnitzels were excellent, and the steaks at the next table also looked attractively presented. Great portions. Everyone was happy with them. The coconut curry vegetables were delicious, but the portion was very small. The waitress was extremely attentive: She brought something of her own accord to wrap up the remaining schnitzels. Thank you. Dessert was delicious. Plenty of parking. You have to walk a bit to the entrance and climb a flight of stairs. There are also stairs to the restrooms. It wasn't clear whether there was an alternative entrance/restroom for wheelchairs.

A real insider tip! I was absolutely thrilled with my visit. I received a friendly welcome as soon as I entered and immediately felt at home. The ambiance is stylish and cozy – perfect for a relaxing evening.👍

No! When I tried to reserve a table, I was told that only outdoor tables were available that evening... Rain and very unpleasant weather were forecast for that evening, so definitely NOT weather for eating outside!!! The employee said that if it rained, the reservation would be canceled... Translated: Bad luck!!!!! So, I will definitely not eat there at any time, even though I'm a golfer, and I'll let everyone around me know!!

The food is very good, but the service unfortunately leaves something to be desired.

Good food, friendly staff, good service, very attractive decor, comfortable chairs on the terrace. The rose pots on the tables could use some attention. We had caraway roast and a salad plate with chicken breast from the lunch menu. Also cordon bleu and schnitzel from the main menu, each of which came with a side salad with a delicious dressing. For dessert, we had ice cream and a particularly delicious tiramisu with a distinct amaretto note. The value for money at lunch is particularly good. The espresso was very good, not sour, not bitter. I wasn't so happy with the Darjeeling. The water was already too cold in the glass when it was served. I'm sure they would have taken it back if I'd said something, but we had to go. Definitely recommend it.

We were there the night before yesterday with friends and were absolutely thrilled. Great service, very attentive and quick. The roast beef with onions was cooked to perfection, and the fried potatoes were fantastic. The side salad was very tasty and rather oversized as a side dish. Great value for money. A definite all-around recommendation!

Delicious fried potatoes, asparagus dishes, schnitzel, etc. were all very good. The wine and beverage selection was also excellent. Actually, it's very good. We went there twice for dinner with our regulars. After about two hours, we were politely shown the door because new guests were waiting for our table. Twice, and never again. What a shame...

I spontaneously tried the lunch menu during the week. I got a delicious cordon bleu for €13.90. Reservations are recommended and the place is quite busy.

It's a very nice place. However, making a reservation leaves a lot to be desired. There's no way to make a reservation by phone, and emails suggesting a reservation aren't responded to, even though they promise a response within the next few hours!

We were there for dinner today. Very nicely located restaurant on the Monrepos golf course. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We had the roast beef and asparagus, and tiramisu for dessert. Was totally thrilled. There was really nothing to complain about. The prices are rather high, but not exorbitant and more than reasonable for this service. We will definitely come back.

Had dinner with a friend. We had a tartare and asparagus. The food was super tasty. The atmosphere is also very cozy. The only weak point is the service. The waitress was super friendly, but unfortunately after serving the food she only came when called and not on her own. We hardly had the opportunity to order anything.

Das Essen in der Leibspeise ist immer sehr gut, allerdings wird dies immer wieder von der Leitung heruntergezogen, die sich durch unmögliches Verhalten auszeichnet. Gäste trotz vereinbarter Zeiten rauszuwerfen geht garnicht.

The restaurant is located next to the golf course and is always full even on weekdays, but the table turnover rate is fast, so you'll have a seat after a while. The main meal comes with a salad, which is plenty. The fried pork chops and steaks are both delicious. You can rest assured that your order will not go unnoticed. The service attitude of the staff is very good.

A little hidden, not so well known, easy to park and great cuisine! Insider tip at the Monrepos estate. Don't be put off by the golf club sign and enjoy the friendly service with the rushing fountain on the lake. Asparagus, schnitzel, but also vegetarian dishes taste delicious with a good wine. We had reserved a table and were left waiting for 40 minutes without any apology or comment from the owner. I can't judge the food, so we got something to eat somewhere else.

We celebrated the civil wedding of our children (approx. 30 people) and we guests were there for the first time! What can I say, great ambience, the view of the greenery is very nice! The food was lovingly prepared and tasted very good! Price performance excellent! The service was quick and very friendly! Everyone had their food at the same time, which is very important! We enjoy coming here often and again and again. Yesterday we were there with 14 people to celebrate my girlfriend and I's birthday. We were warmly greeted by a young blonde woman (name unfortunately not known) and escorted to the table. Although the restaurant was fully booked, we quickly ordered the aperitifs and then the starters and main courses. The individual courses were served to everyone at the same time, which speaks for the successful organization of the kitchen. An absolutely wonderful birthday experience. Were there for the first time and we really liked it. The selection isn't huge, but there's something for everyone and it's very tasty. The service was very quick and we only had to wait a short time for our food. The atmosphere is very modern, but not particularly cozy or romantic. When the weather is good you can sit outside on the terrace.

On December 5th We celebrated our Christmas party in the favorite dish with around 60 people. The coordination in advance and the course of the evening were excellently organized. The food was very good and the service was very friendly and attentive. A big thank you to the entire Manu team!

The Leibspeise restaurant welcomes you with a cultivated ambience in a prime location, directly on the golf course. Unfortunately, the food and service (today!?) don't quite live up to the standards we set ourselves. The large number of euphorically positive reviews also makes you skeptical. So here is my personal assessment after lunch with a larger family on a Saturday afternoon. The waitress, of whom you can read more later, takes orders in a very friendly and jovial manner. The drinks come quickly and correctly. From then on it unfortunately falls off. The dishes are consistently more average than upscale and do not correspond to the prices you see there and only look remotely similar to the photos on the website. To be more precise: the food there is quite decent and in a nice atmosphere, but the food could definitely be better. Just two examples: The venison bratwurst is advertised on the season menu. It is also a recommendation from the waitress. But what comes on the plate for €15.50 is rather modest and is reminiscent of a snack. A measly sausage, a dollop of potato salad and a pile of coleslaw. Awkward! Second example: Broccoli and pumpkin thaler with salad (€16.50). Unfortunately a complete failure. Not just burnt on the outside, but salty on the inside. This is then exchanged - without apology - for a small bowl of fried vegetables - but charged in full. The other dishes were solid, but nothing to write home about. Now back to the service (Robert Vidackovic). He actually spurned the twelve euro tip with the words: “It’s actually not worth it. Then I just calculate the total without a tip.” Honestly: the payer doesn't have a lavish pension and the tip was rather modest. Nevertheless, you can imagine such a remark, but don't say it out loud in front of the guests and completely disregard the amount. An outrage that I have never experienced in this form before. Dear “Leibspeise”, we will unfortunately - but certainly - never see each other again. Hopefully we just had a bad day!?! Take a close look at the staff and stick to the standard dishes. Hopefully you will be less demanding guests in the future.

A really outstanding restaurant - excellent food, great service as you would imagine, great wines (especially from the neighboring winery) and a very nice atmosphere! Mi esposo y un colega de trabajo visitaron el martes por la noche, tomando una maravillosa sopa de calabaza que destacó deliciosamente los sabores de las estaciones y será para siempre un recuerdo de esta visita a Alemania. Las porciones son muy generosas, así que por favor tome nota del comentario en la parte inferior del menú que le permite pedir una porción más pequeña si es necesario. El schnitzel era muy bueno, pero estaba eclipsado por hermosas virutas que se cortan con un tipo de torno o máquina de forma que les ofrece un área de superficie adicional, por lo que son casi "en forma de U" en lugar de cuadrados. ¡Podría comer un plato entero de patatas fritas! Las verduras servidas con la cena de nuestros colegas se veían increíbles y había tantas que no pudo terminarlas. La única palabra para los sabios que ofrecería es como visitante a esta hermosa parte de Alemania, no sabía que la salsa Tabasco es tradicionalmente un componente clave del sarro de carne, lo que significa que mi paladar no podía manejar la especia, pero de lo que comí, fue muy memorable y muy sabroso. The salad was fresh. In my opinion, a salad plate looks different. It was a salad plate with a slice of baquette. The male waitress was very nice and understanding.

Very good food, very friendly staff, courteous service. Despite the high number of visitors, there are no long waiting times. We all got our food (11 people) together, everyone enjoyed it. The ambience and location of the restaurant with a large outdoor area is idyllic on the golf course.

After many visits to eat and drink, in the restaurant, on the terrace or in the beer garden, whether privately, for business, at events or even with children, the favorite dish is absolutely recommended in every respect! Apparently the word has already gotten around as a “secret tip”, it is quite crowded there in the afternoon/evening and when the weather is nice and the golfers also want to use your club restaurant (which is why areas are pre-reserved there). A reservation is certainly recommended, as the rush of guests sometimes exceeds the capacity of the restaurant... but that should certainly be a good sign! We feel very well looked after there at all times and would be happy to come back! Many greetings to the entire team, keep it up!
