Restaurant Lava in Wettenberg

The food was truly exceptional. We were there with a large group and received very friendly and prompt service. Children can also have a great time there, and their wishes are readily accommodated. The service and food were excellent. You'd expect something like this from other restaurants, too.

We were a couple at the Lava Restaurant on Wednesday evening, October 15, 2025, while passing through. Firstly, we were pleased to see that all the tables were occupied, and secondly, that the service was smooth and we received exemplary service. The two pizzas were delicious, the crust crispy and well-topped, and the red wine and beer were drinkable. The prices were pleasantly reasonable, and the bill was absolutely in keeping with the service, the food, and the ambiance.

The playground is great, the drinks are delicious, and the food is high-quality. The service wasn't up to par: - An informal greeting: "Your table is over there." There were three tables there, all of which would have been suitable. - Communication with some servers was difficult. - Our order was forgotten, and we received our food so late that the kids were no longer hungry. - Even when we asked, there weren't enough glasses for the large bottle of water.

Really great food! The sause is really nice! Not frozen like other restaurants.

We visited this restaurant during the Golden Oldies season. Even though the beer garden was very busy, we were seated right away. The service there was excellent; all the staff were very friendly. We were served quickly, and the food arrived quickly, with generous portions and truly delicious. Despite the rush of customers, we felt comfortable and received excellent service. Great – keep it up!

Visited this pizzeria today for the Golden Oldies. It was busy, as is to be expected on such days, but the pizza was hard and almost impossible to slice, practically inedible. I've never experienced such poor quality for such a price. Absolutely not recommended.

The salads are top-notch 👍 and highly recommended. Unfortunately, we got exactly the same sauce for the Cordon Bleu, the Creamed Schnitzel, the Hunter's Schnitzel, and the Schnitzel with Chanterelles, and the portion size of the Cordon Bleu was, to put it politely, beyond words. A real shame considering the lovely ambiance and friendly service.

Good food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. The outdoor seating is especially pleasant. There's even a small children's playground.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Lava. The food is delicious, the service is always friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

There's a lovely beer garden outside. I can't comment on the interior because we sat outside. The food was good, and the staff were friendly.

The pizza was simply fantastic – crispy base, fresh ingredients, and seasoned just right. You can taste the love and quality that goes into making this place. I'd especially like to highlight the very friendly waitress, who gave us a warm welcome and excellent service. A visit that's truly worth it, especially in the summer. Highly recommended!

The food is usually excellent. The lasagna wasn't our taste, but the service was very good. Due to the construction work inside, the atmosphere is extremely loud when the restaurant is full. The price/performance ratio is also excellent.

I highly recommend this restaurant. They really put in the effort. I've eaten there several times. Today we had a celebration. It was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the food. The starter was my highlight. It was a fantastic experience. It's a great place to eat. Please keep up the good work.

Highly recommended! The restaurant is very clean and tastefully decorated, and in the summer, there's also a lovely beer garden. The menu offers something for every taste, including a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The food is excellent, the quality of the ingredients is very good, and the portions are generously sized even for hungry guests. The friendly and attentive staff perfectly rounds off the visit, and I therefore congratulate the restaurant on its fantastic kitchen and service team and look forward to my next visit!

Very nice restaurant in Krofdorf Gleiberg. The food offers excellent value for money with very good quality and very good service.

Had dinner here with our 7 month old dog. Food very tasty. Gladly again. Unfortunately we were pretty much ignored. Small dogs at the neighboring table were probably better and ok. It's a shame, I would have liked to eat here again.

You always feel welcome. I have never regretted eating there. Be it schnitzel, salad or pasta, everything has met my taste so far. Even if you take it with you, the quantity and quality doesn't change. Very friendly staff/owners are another plus point.

We have been here several times, sometimes just as a couple, sometimes in a larger group and it has always been excellent. Everything we have tried from the menu so far has tasted absolutely great and was very tasty. The portions are really big and are very good value for money. The service depends somewhat on the operator but is mostly very friendly and attentive. The toilets are a bit small but clean. In winter it is a little more crowded inside and therefore a little louder when it is full. In summer you can sit in the beer garden, which also has a covered area.

We were just passing through and were very pleasantly surprised! The staff was very attentive, quick and friendly. All three of us really enjoyed the pizzas. Fresh ingredients and plenty of toppings.

I arrived late, they were very kind, they made me a pizza on the spot. Thank you kind hosts, hearing English and not German being spoken they asked me where I came from and to the answer "Italy" the owner (Italian) arrived to make sure that everything was perfect. Excellent dinner

Ordered takeaway pizza for the first time. Unfortunately not aware that Turkish gastronomy is being sold here again as Italian. Pizza was tasteless with grated cheese and didn't come close to the level of a real Italian pizza. Appetizer platter crammed with unseasoned vegetables. You can certainly relax in the garden, but I won't be able to enjoy that again after this bad meal...

Located in the middle of the small town of Krofdorf Gleiberg. Beautiful beer garden, family-run restaurant with great service. Smaller extra menu at the Golden Oldies Festival, price performance is right here, we always enjoy eating here when we are in the area

Good price/performance ratio. The lamb fillet was in the pan a little too long.

The basement was very unfriendly. I explained to him that I couldn't sit outside because it was very hot for me. Unfortunately there is no place in the shade to help. You don't have to treat the customer like that, nor do you have to insult them straight away.

Very nice people who run this restaurant. My children and I enjoy being there and always feel very comfortable. As always, very tasty and we felt very comfortable today too.

It was okay. You can sit outside very well. The prices are very fair. Noodles, schnitzel, steak, all delicious. But Italian pizza is and remains the original and that makes a difference.

We are very disappointed with the waiter/owner? We ordered food at 6:10 p.m. and after asking several times, we didn't get it until 7:26 p.m. After the second question as to why everyone else who came after us had received their order and we hadn't - the waiter said loudly that there was so much to do, we had ordered as a group (6 people), but it has to be said, behind us the table (5 people) - he told us: if we don't like it, we could also LEAVE!!!!! Unfortunately our 2 children were so hungry that we stayed. Overall, absolutely not recommended!!!!!!!! This employee or the owner would definitely have to change his attitude.

Visited today and got a nice spot in the yard. A quiet place with sufficient sun protection. Service was served without waiting and was very friendly. The menu is extensive. I had spaghetti carbonara with cream sauce and egg. It was very tasty and, above all, nice and hot. Not cold even after 20 minutes. That's how it has to be 😋At the beginning there was a bruschetta on the house. Not only delicious but very hospitable. Overall, I give this restaurant a 100% repeat recommendation. And at the end there was also a small digestif 😋

3 Fleischspeisen waren i.O., durchaus zu wenig gewürzt. Pizza 4 Jahreszeiten: Hier waren nur 3 Jahreszeiten zu erkennen?!! Die Pizza hat nach gar nichts geschmeckt weil die Gewürze fehlten; war insbesondere am Rand nicht belegt, auch mit der Tomatensoße wurde gespart?! Paprika aus dem Glas. Fazit: jede Pizza aus dem Discounter ist nicht nur wesentlich günstiger sondern auch noch viel besser. Der Preis im 2-stelligen €-Bereich einen Frechheit.

I can agree with the other good reviews without reservation. We have been coming to this restaurant every now and then for many years and I, as well as my friends and family, cannot remember ever having a bad meal. The restaurant has apparently been run by the same owner for years, and the same boss is always on site. What I also really appreciate is the little amusement oil before the meal and the digestive schnapps on the house afterwards. The only downside is the small distance to the other tables, but the good food, friendly service and pleasant atmosphere far make up for this. The price-performance ratio is also quite favorable. All in all: keep it up.

Ich bin seit längerem wieder mal zum Essen hier gewesen.. Das Essen ist geschmacklich gut ! Lasagne Pizza Schnitzel oder ein Salatteller es ist alles lecker.

Das Essen war Super, das Ambiente ist auch Stimmig mit passender Musik zur Mediteranen Küche. Das Einzige was mir misfiel, war der junge Kellner mit dem halb-ausgewachen Bart, welcher einige Male unpassende Bemerkungen machte, welches möglicherweise auch einen seinem Migrationshintergrund liegen mag, darum sei davon mal abgesehen.

Wir waren inzwischen über viele Jahre verteilt immer mal wieder in diesem Restaurant. Der freundliche und schnelle Service, das gleichbleibend gute Essen, die Erfüllung von Extrawünschen und die Sitzmöglichkeiten innen und draußen im Biergarten haben uns überzeugt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Beim Odie Fest haben wir dort gegessen. Unser Nudelgericht war eine große Portion und schmeckte sehr gut. Die Bedienungen waren alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Großes Lob an die Küche, Zutaten beim Menü knackig frisch. Servis sehr schnell, sehr freundlich, Kinderlieb. Die Sommeroase im Hof erweckt Urlaubsfeeling, toll gemacht und der kleine Kinderspielplatz passt ins Ambiente. Echter Italiener mit echten Geschmack, weiter so.

Würde es Salat aus der Tiefkühltruhe geben, würde es den auch dort geben. Ausnahmslos alles Fertigprodukte. Vom Schnitzel bis zur Pizza, alles Tiefkühlware. Erkennt man gut an der Gleichmäßigkeit der Produkte. Oder am Wellenschnitt der Möhren. Gläser werden immer am oberen Rand angefasst, Bier mit Bierdeckel vom Schaum befreit. Kellner stehen am Tresen und rauchen. Kellner brüllen (kommunizieren) quer durch den Hof. Unaufmerksam, Gläser oft leer. Innenhof ganz ok, "shabbi-chic". Essen aber eine Katastrophe.

Wir waren heute spontan zum ersten mal dort essen. Sehr schöner und großer Biergarten. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und für den Preis hatte man ordentlich was auf dem Teller. Das Schnitzel war perfekt. Netter Service, alle sehr freundlich. Haben uns später noch sehr nett mit dem Chef unterhalten. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend und sehr zu empfehlen. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Super tolles Restaurant. Haben dort unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und gehen auch so sehr sehr gerne zum Essen hin. Ganz liebe Bedienungen, viel Auswahl und ganz leckeres Essen.

Dieses Restaurant ist einfach der Hammer! Das Essen kam nicht nur super schnell, man hat auch einen kleinen Gruß aus der Küche und einen Verdauungsschnaps serviert bekommen. Das Personal ist super nett und geht auf individuelle Wünsche der Gäste ein. Das Essen ist hervorragend! Ich hatte u.a. den Chefsalat, der zählt zweifelsohne zu einen der besten Salate, die ich je gegessen habe. Das Dressing ist hervorragend, das Arrangement der Speisen wunderbar. Vielen Dank für diese kulinarische Erfahrung, ich komme sehr gern jederzeit wieder! :-)

Eines der besten Restaurants überhaupt. Das Essen hat eine super Qualität und wird immer frisch auf den Teller gepackt. Das Personal ist unfassbar freundlich und zuvorkommend. Extrawünsche sind nie ein Problem. Ich würde jedoch immer eine Reservierung empfehlen, da es immer voll besetzt ist. Hier muss man unbedingt mal gegessen haben! :)

Leckeres Essen, toller Aussenbereich mit Spielplatz. Ideal für Familien mit Kindern. Unser Sohn konnte spielen während wir auf das Essen warteten. Mega, davon würde ich mir mehr Lokale wünschen.

Das Essen war lecker,nur die Bedienung war lahm und unaufmerksam.Wir saßen längere Zeit ohne das jemand von der Bedienung bemerkte das wir nichts mehr zu trinken hatten und auch nicht nachfragte,sodas wir beschlossen zu gehen.

Schon lange habe ich nicht mehr so gut und lecker italienisch gegessen. Ich hatte ein gegrilltes Hähnchenfilet mit Salat und Pommes Frites. Alles war auf den Punkt gegart und liebevoll mit italienischen Kräutern gewürzt. Auch meinen Freunden hat ihr Essen super geschmeckt. Das Bier war sehr gut gekühlten der Service war prompt und freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Weiter so!

Leckeres Essen und ganz nette Bedienung! Zu empfehlen sind Pizza aber auch Rumpsteak oder Schnitzel in verschiedenen Varianten!
