A great restaurant that we traditionally visit on every Rügen holiday. Great atmosphere, fast service, and friendly staff. This time, unfortunately, the fish was a bit overcooked, hence the one-star deduction. Otherwise, everything has always been fine so far.

The food here is always delicious; fresh fish is a must when you're by the sea.

Good value for money, succulent fish, great sweet potato fries, but the fried potatoes were old, dry, and lukewarm... The dining area is very charming, self-service. We would come back!

A very good restaurant. A must for fish lovers. Large portions, reasonable prices, and the fish sandwiches are amazing. However, you should expect a wait. Reservations are not possible, and it's always very busy because of the delicious food.

Really delicious fish sandwiches, generously filled and crispy. Highly recommended. One sandwich for just under five euros, it doesn't get any better than that.

Hello everyone, we visited the Kutterfisch restaurant for the first time. My wife isn't a big fish fan, but she came along because I enjoy eating fish occasionally. I don't usually like potato salad. At Kutterfisch, my wife had pollock with potato salad, and I had herring with potato salad. We give both dishes a perfect score. I've never had such a delicious potato salad in my entire life. My wife was also thrilled with the fish. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant is very pretty and clean.

The Kutterfisch restaurant has become an absolute must for us during our Baltic Sea holidays. The food is outstanding – fresh, delicious, and presented with a noticeable attention to detail. It's a self-service restaurant. The tables are clean and are regularly cleaned during operation. The menu is clear and easy to understand; you place your order at the register and pay immediately. Drinks arrive right away, and you get a table alert when your food is ready. The quality of the food is well above average, and the portions are generous, so we can definitely recommend the Kutterfisch restaurant.

A lovely restaurant in the harbor of Ribnitz with a pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff. You choose and pay for your dishes at the counter, and then you are informed when your food is ready for collection.

There were six of us. We ordered and found a table right away. The food—I had fried fish with fried potatoes—didn't take long to arrive. The fish was delicious, and so were the fried potatoes. Three pieces of fish were too many for me. We could pack the rest of the food. We will definitely come back. A must-visit when vacationing on Rügen.

Self-service restaurant with fresh fish and a wide selection of cold and hot fish dishes. In winter, delicious Sandau mulled wine was served.

It's absolutely incomprehensible that dogs aren't allowed at the Kutterfisch Sassnitz restaurant – especially on the harbor promenade, where almost every second walker is with a dog. Unfortunately, such a rule seems outdated these days. We've moved on – fortunately, there are friendlier alternatives in Sassnitz.

Delicious food in a great atmosphere. The food tastes fantastic; fresh fish as far as the eye can see, served in delicious combinations. We recommend the Rügen Pannfisch (Rügen Pan Fish), Sassnitz Fish Platter, Baltic Sea Burger, or the house-made fried fish. Beautiful maritime decor and a direct view of Sassnitz harbor complete the Baltic Sea atmosphere. In warmer weather, you can enjoy your meal outside in a beach chair. Note: Self-service after ordering via table sensors.

We visited the restaurant for lunch today based on a recommendation and were extremely satisfied. The food was of excellent quality. The restaurant's ambiance is appealing, and the outdoor area with tables and beach chairs offers a welcoming atmosphere. The view of the harbor is particularly charming. The value for money is excellent.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. A year ago, they still served fresh fish and good, fresh side dishes. They've now opted for ready-made meals. We've decided not to eat there again. The Kutter 1 fish shop was good.

The food resembles a fish stall; you can't expect more. The cod fillet had tons of bones, the mustard sauce was cold, and the vegetables were drenched in oil. Certainly not worth repeating! There are better places on Rügen. After this experience, we will buy our fresh fish elsewhere in the future. Sorry, but if I'm charging €18.00 for the dish of the day, I expect to get something decent.

The food was very good. There's even a vegan dish on the menu 👍 Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed inside. But as long as you sit outside, they're welcome.

We've been there twice during our Rügen vacation, not because we had to, but because we wanted to. The food was first-class in terms of quantity, quality, and value for money. If we lived closer, we'd eat here practically every week.

Anyone in Sassnitz looking for delicious food at a fair price in a truly cozy atmosphere should come here. The Lach Burger is incomparably good! There's also a selection for younger guests, and sometimes just delicious fries.

We ate Kutterfisch four times because it's incredibly delicious and freshly prepared. I particularly enjoyed the seaweed salad; you can't get anything like it anywhere else. A definite recommendation for all fish eaters and those who want to become one.

I highly recommend it. It's self-service, but you're given a buzzer at your table. When it starts buzzing, you pick up your food. There's plenty of space inside and outside. They also offer fresh fish, fish salads, fish sandwiches, and smoked fish to take away. The food is very good quality. The staff is nice and friendly. If I'm in the area again, I'll go there again.

This is my second time eating here. The food was very tasty, but unlike a few years ago, the prices are quite steep. While this is true everywhere on Rügen, I found it excessive that you pay for the fish (usually €14 and up) and then another €3.50 or more for side dishes like fries. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one star. If that doesn't bother you, you can still eat delicious fish and shrimp here and enjoy the Hagen atmosphere.

Fresh fish caught by the fishermen's own fleet in the North and Baltic Seas and marketed here promises deliciousness. We enjoyed it very much. The restaurant is self-service. Due to high demand, you should expect a wait when ordering.

Google says they're open until 8 p.m. The restaurant's website says they're open until 8 p.m. When I get there, I find out they close at 6 p.m. One star for the extra steps I got by walking there and the money I saved. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙂

It's a great place to eat in peace if you can snag one of the beach chairs. We stayed here for several days and tried a few things: The sea bass was very good, but the fish solyanka and shrimp skewers weren't so great.

It’s a self-service restaurant, but the menu is quite diverse - ranging from sandwiches and quick bites to proper main courses. We tried different kinds of fish and soup, and everything was delicious. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the pasta. There’s a nice outdoor terrace with a sea view. They accept both card and cash, and the staff speak English

Well, the food wasn't that good, unfortunately. I've had much better food for that price. There's no service; you get your own food and have to clear the table yourself. The only thing that was nice was the ambiance.

A very delicious restaurant, right on the harbor. We had a very good meal. We were able to put together our own dishes, which was no problem at all. Very friendly staff. Despite the large number of guests, everything ran smoothly. (But that also depends on the behavior/appearance of the guests.) We were told when ordering that there would be a wait of about an hour, but after 25 minutes, we had our food. All the dishes were very tasty and freshly prepared, and the fish was really fresh. We'll be back.

We were in Sassnitz for the first time and stumbled upon this restaurant by the water. A great location with a fantastic atmosphere. Despite being self-service, it wasn't a problem. Excellent service, large portions of fish with several side dishes. A very pleasant surprise. Keep up the good work, all in all, great.

We've eaten here every holiday for many years – the food used to be excellent and the fish was fresh. Unfortunately, that has changed dramatically: The salmon fillet was neither fresh nor juicy, but thoroughly cooked – and unfortunately, it tasted that way too. The fried fish was okay, but also not a highlight. When we politely informed the chef that the fish wasn't fresh and tasted accordingly, we were treated unfriendly. We weren't looking for a price reduction, but rather for good service and long-term customer loyalty. It's the tone that counts – and unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be understood here anymore. One thing is for sure: We won't be back.

I highly recommend this shop! I love fish, I simply love the whole atmosphere at the harbor. Buying fish here, eating it, being here is simply wonderful! What could be better than right in the harbor? We're currently on vacation here in Sassnitz, and Kutterfisch is simply a must. We bought some fish again today and enjoyed it straight away in our vacation apartment! Simply fantastic, it's the best if you love fish.
