Really amazing place to enjoy a nice meal. The ambiance is very cool and the food was great as well. My steak was cooked perfectly and the wine list was excellent.

Very cozy, great service that you can joke with and very tasty food. The portions are for really hungry guests... we shared the main course, otherwise we wouldn't have fit any dessert. We felt extremely comfortable and would love to come back.

Wir hatten reserviert und dabei schon die Aussage bekommen, dass wir ins Fass müssen, denn alles andere sei schon voll. Das war Klasse, denn wir saßen in einem Holzfass (wie eine fahrbare Sauna) mit 6 Personen, es sollen 8 reinpassen, aber dann wird es sehr eng. Schon die Begrüßung durch das Personal war herzlich und wir fühlten uns als Gäste. Das Fass steht im Biergarten, aber das machte uns nichts. Die Bedienungen mußten halt leider in die frische Luft kommen. Wir wurden immerwieder nett gefragt, ob wir noch etwas möchten, oder ob alles in Ordnung sei. Das Essen war lecker und optisch gut angerichtet. Wir fühlten uns Sauwohl und kommen gerne bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Neustadt adWstr wieder. Preis Leistung passt.

We have already eaten there a few times and now, also with the children, at the knight's meal. This was fun, tasty and more than just filling. Price-performance was very good. The cellar vault is harmonious. The small drawback was that initially there was only an alcoholic mountain sweet drink available. As a Palatinate resident you are used to this. No problem. In that sense: people in Neustadt.

Quaint. A great impression as soon as you walk in. Reservations required for groups, useful for couples. Map not huge but good. The selected dishes - burgers, steaks, Palatinate plates - were all praised. Service quick, friendly, absolutely OK. I'd love to come back

Knight's banquet with live music

Spray cream and disposable spoons at a not really cheap knight's meal result in a point deduction. The employees were also a bit overwhelmed with the drinks replenishment when the restaurant was full. Otherwise it's a very nice idea and in "normal operation" the restaurant is really recommended!

We really enjoy coming here. The food is always consistently good, the service is very friendly and special requests are taken into account. A rustic ambience that radiates cosiness.

Amazing atmosphere and experience. Feels like you're in a cellar. They serve Paulaner, which is my favorite, so that's a plus. The food is great and staff is very friendly and most speak English. My favorite restaurant in Neustadt.

Today we had lunch at Kunigunde in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. I absolutely love eating English fried onion roast. And what can I say 🤔 Rarely have I eaten one that was fried so perfectly. My husband had Surf n Turf and loved it too. Wonderful meat quality 👍🏻 First of all we had greaves with bread, very tasty and also very tasty. Friendly staff rounded off our lunch.

The prices are a bit too high for this atmosphere...

Food tasted very good (Palatinate plate / Bratwurst / Liver dumplings / Saumagen) Nice/unusual atmosphere, something completely different. Reservation recommended, always full.

Location was great, unfortunately the food was mediocre and way too expensive. Children's bratwurst with fries €14, small wine spritzer €7, onion roast beef, which was good but had no onions on it and also a mini €30 with greasy fried potatoes. It's a shame, it was a really nice shop that was full both inside and outside, but the price and quality just didn't match. 2 adults + 2 children with roast beef, cordon bleu, fries with bratwurst and one fries and 1 set of drinks for €100 including tip is too much in my opinion.

Tolle Atmosphäre. Als wir zum ersten Mal da waren, gab es keine freien Tische. Uns wurde aber angeboten, an der Theke Platz zu nehmen. Auch da war es sehr gemütlich. Das Essen war sehr lecker, mit Liebe zubereitet. Die zwei Schwestern, die die Gäste bedienen, sind sehr nett und sind sehr daran interessiert, dass Gäste zufrieden sind. An unserem letzten Abend haben wir uns ebenfalls für den Besuch entschieden, allerdings waren alle Tische bereits ausgebucht. Uns wurde empfohlen entweder zu warten oder etwas später zu kommen. Das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Diesmal saßen wir im Gewölbe-Keller. Sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre, nette Bedienung, wie bereits beschrieben. Das Restaurant ist wirklich zu empfehlen, wenn wir irgendwann wieder in Neustadt sind, dann nur Kunigunde. Vielen Dank für die zwei tolle Abende!

As soon as you walk in you're floored. Really great restaurant right in the heart of Neustadt. But what stands out is the service staff that tries to fulfill every wish. Fine drinks and excellent food round off the program. The only downer is the price for a side salad of €06.90, which I personally think is absolutely overpriced. Otherwise the price/performance ratio can be described as balanced. For me a very clear recommendation for visitors: inside and around Neustadt

I don't understand the good food reviews for this restaurant. The following is true: Service (super nice young man with glasses 👍🏻) very attentive and fast. The rustic atmosphere in the vault is very appealing. But: The food is really underground. I had the Kunigunde Citizen: Hands off, MacDonald does it much better. Dry burger bun, dry patty, cheap ketchup, steakhouse fries had a second round in the deep fryer, were hard and unsalted. I've never eaten so badly. Burgers and fries were carelessly arranged on the plate, without any “decoration”. Side salad for €6.20, cheeky. Palatinate specialties are served with cheap baguette slices, mashed potatoes can be ordered extra for €5.50. This is a rip off in my opinion. Conclusion: If you want to eat very poorly in a really rustic restaurant, this is the place for you!

I am someone who is willing to pay more for a good meal. Nevertheless, with this beautiful ambience and the courteous service, I expected much more. A small salad as a side dish. To charge 6.20 euros for this according to the card? It really doesn't have to be that way. Likewise, serving a dish that just didn't look sophisticated. It lacked any garnish beyond a small tomato or parsley. The taste wasn't special either. Especially when people talk about “homemade” (here Cordon Bleu). Price performance really varies here. It's a shame, I think the focus is on other points here.

Tolles Restaurant, man fühlt sich einfach richtig gut eingeladen. Der Service ist sehr gut. Ich habe mich auf einen leckeren Zwiebelbraten gefreut und wurde leider schwer enttäuscht. Preislich ist der Zwiebelbraten im absolut gehobenen Bereich in der Region, geschmacklich allerdings ist er „geschmacksneutral“. Sehr schade. Ich hoffe der Kellner hat meine Kritik auch an den Koch weitergeleitet. Ich würde mich freuen wenn die Küche diese Kritik ernst nimmt. Ansonsten war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit.

We were there as a family. The atmosphere in the beer garden is very nice. Service was friendly and drinks and food were served quickly. Unfortunately, the drinks tasted stale and had hardly any carbonation. My baked potato was not a baked potato, but a jacket potato. That makes a big difference and shouldn't be on the menu. You should explain it to the chef. The herb quark, salad and chicken fillet pieces were hardly seasoned and very bland. The salad was even missing the dressing in places. Overall the portions were very small. Disappointing for the price. The big thing was that my 22-year-old son ordered a beer and he had to show the waiter his ID, even though we all confirmed that he had been 16 for a long time. Help. How otherworldly is that? That was super embarrassing. We will definitely not eat in this restaurant again. We prefer to eat at home. That's where it tastes best.

The service is very excellent. The staff is very friendly and service-oriented. The ambience and furnishings are attractive and inviting. You can certainly imagine knights' evenings there. We were disappointed with the food and especially the value for money. For us, the prices are not in proportion to the product. The children's meal was a small schnitzel with some mashed potatoes and a lemon for 15 euros. We won't be coming back.

My wife had a Mediterranean tarte flambée that didn't taste like anything, and salt and pepper didn't help either. After about 10 minutes the waitress, who had previously cashed in a party of 14, came to us. There was no other service in sight anywhere. She listened to my wife's complaint and said she had to ask her boss. After 5 minutes, the waitress rejected us from her boss on the grounds that the food was already cold. It definitely didn't taste good cold either. I had Saumagen and liver dumplings that you could eat. Conclusion: if you want to eat well, don't go to Kunigunde. I only know this quality from a motorway service station

I love this restaurant, it's just perfect. Good wines, good food and super friendly service.

We ordered children's schnitzel for our 2 children, so far so good, my nephew had the normal schnitzel. They said there would be a discount. I don't even want to talk about a loose breading etc. and also the extra payment for the blob of ketchup, but that we paid €15 per child and in the end we had the normal schnitzel with 5 more fries. So our 18€ turnover turned into 30€. I'm still lying awake at 2 a.m. and am annoyed by the audacity and the poor quality

Wir hatten für unsere 2 Kinder Kinderschnitzel bestellt, soweit so gut mein Neffe hatte das normal Schnitzel. Es gäbe einen Preisnachlass hiess es. Von einer lockeren Panade etc will ich gar nicht sprechen und auch die extra Zahlung für den Klecks Ketchup sondern das wir 15€ pro Kind bezahlt haben und im Endeffekt das normale Schnitzel mit 5 Pommes mehr hatten. Also aus 18€ Umsatz 30 bei uns wurden. Ich liege jetzt um 2 Uhr noch wach und ärgere mich über die Dreistigkeit und die schlechte Qualität

I asked for the bill and was then asked if I would like to drink an espresso. When I looked at the receipt I couldn't believe my eyes. I was also allowed to pay that. I know it like this. When the landlord asks me if I would like to drink an espresso, it's like an invitation and it's free. This is the case elsewhere too. Totally outrageous...food wasn't that great for the money either. Won't go there again!

Beautiful courtyard in the old town of Neustadt. Food satisfactory to good, drinks good to very good, overall reasonable prices. Service quick and nice, attentive. Particularly recommended when it's sunny, there are some bright and some shady places. I can't rate the interiors.

Beautiful location. Whether in the vaulted cellar, in the booths, in the beer garden or in the barrel, there was always a great atmosphere and great service.

I've been there twice and I always have the best experience. The food is inexpensive because it is very well prepared and also because the recipes are delicious. You can order typical German food there, but last time I ordered the burger and it was very good, in line with modern burger restaurants. We also ordered the strawberry cup, which is a huge cup full of vanilla ice cream, strawberries and whipped cream.

Good card with something for everyone. But not a bargain either. Went there in a group, were in the beer garden and were served nicely.

The restaurant in the middle of the old town is housed in one of the oldest houses in Neustadt. Inside there is a medieval atmosphere. There is a romantic and cozy garden area outside. The kitchen offers something for every taste - from hearty regional dishes to international cuisine - and is also creative. But you can also just drink something. The service is quick and friendly. The prices are within the usual regional range, so not low. Children are welcome.

Liebloses Essen, erinnert stark an Kantine. Warum nur ist deutsches Essen in unseren Restaurants so phantasielos ? Da koche ich doch lieber selber oder gehe zum nächsten Griechen, Italiener oder Asiaten.

You will find this restaurant in a half-timbered house in a narrow alley. There is a beer garden, but we stayed inside. Great atmosphere, an old vaulted cellar, very nice. The food was very tasty, the portions were absolutely sufficient and the price was fair. Staff very friendly. Overall, a successful evening, we would love to come back.

Grilled onion roast (€29.50) from the Kunigunde restaurant in Neustadt. Super friendly service, fast, fond of children and always with the guest. Perfect. The beer garden is cozy, as is the “Fass”. The food was ok, but disappointing for the high price. The sauce lacked spice, the meat was okay, the fried potatoes were just chips out of a bag. For 20€ that would be ok, for 30€ I would have expected a little more. Mixed feelings..

Very good restaurant with a rustic vaulted cellar. The Palatinate plate was great, except for the bratwurst, which unfortunately had no grill color. Also worth mentioning negatively is the bread - a plain baguette - and the mustard, which is served in small sachets. The service was very friendly and the Hacker Pschrorr (dark beer) from the clay mug made us very happy.

We were back in Kunigunde after a long break… First we waited about 30 minutes for our drinks! The pepperoni we ordered was only briefly heated in the pan and didn't taste good. The meat of the onion roast was very small, I estimate a maximum of 180g and with fried potatoes WITHOUT salad it cost a whopping €29.50! After all, this dish tasted very good! The “Elwetritsche” salad ordered as the main course was also small for €17.90. There was nothing wrong with the “Kunigunde Burger” and the Cordon Bleu.

I was in the small wine bar across the street, very cozy, there wasn't much going on and the service was very attentive.

The food was very tasty (had a Palatinate plate) and the service was very friendly, but unfortunately not always attentive, so we had to wait a few times longer until we could order or pay. But everything is still within limits. The atmosphere in the vaulted cellar is great, but overall everything is a bit cramped - especially in the toilets.
