You have to wait forever for the food, and the restaurant seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests. Many of them had something wrong with their orders.

A fantastic selection of game, delicious side dishes, and even special requests were very well executed. The ambiance is a wonderful blend of rustic inn and modern furnishings. The service was friendly, but they took a bit too long to reorder drinks.

Despite the full house, I still managed to get a seat, even at the regulars' table. Very friendly staff, both young and older. Delicious German cuisine. The interior is very cozy yet modern. A lovely terrace outside. Reasonable prices. I would especially like to praise the service staff, who all do a great job even at peak times and whose stress doesn't show. Thank you for everything.

We went for dinner on Sunday evening. It was very crowded and accordingly loud. In my opinion, the seating was too close together. The food was delicious, but we had to ask for more salad with our meal twice. Unfortunately, the friendly waitress forgot to bring it. My plate was damaged. A greyhound at the next table was licking the leftovers off the floor. Overall, it wasn't a relaxing evening.

We were there many years ago and thought it was fantastic and wonderful. Now, on a recommendation, we've returned. We were thrilled and praise not only the food, but also the ambiance, the selection, and, above all, the service. The food was just like mom used to make, and the relaxed atmosphere between guests and staff was something we particularly liked. The menu isn't too crowded, is clear, and very good. Our food was hot and delicious; we'd especially like to highlight our waitresses, Enna and Jessi. Keep up the good work. We'll be back. Best regards.

sehr schönes modernes Ambiente mit überdachter Außenterrasse. Der Thekenbereich ist mega gemütlich, an der wir zufällig alte Bekannte getroffen haben. Ein glücklicher Zufall. Toller Service, sehr nette Bedienung, super aufmerksamer und unterhaltsamer Inhaber. Das Essen war Klasse, Es ist ein sehr guter Tipp für die deutsche Küche und die Veganer kommen voll auf ihre Kosten. Regionale Nahrungsmittel. Online können Plätze reserviert werden, alles hat wunderbar funktioniert ❣️ Wir kommen auf jeden Fall und sehr gerne wieder in den Krug Dreikronen!!! Danke für diese super Erfahrung.

The asparagus meal was very tasty.

A culinary delight. We had our fill of asparagus, everything was perfect, and the dessert was so wonderful. The chocolate cake isn't in the photo; it was devoured too quickly :)). Very friendly staff, a cute children's play area, and highly recommended. I hope we can get another spot in the future if word gets around.

Since the renovation, mass instead of class. We reserved a table for 6 people on a Saturday evening. Right at the beginning we were made aware that the table would be occupied again in 2.5 hours. We were surprised, but at first we thought it was possible, but we waited forever for our food. After dinner, we weren't cleared away for half an hour, we weren't asked if we'd like something else to drink or what dessert would be like. Then we drew attention and ordered dessert. When it was brought, the waitress said the next guests would arrive in five minutes. And so it was over, not a nice feeling. Very unstructured and overwhelmed since the expansion. As for the food, it has also deteriorated. We've never had such a dried-out steak and two people wanted to eat beef roulade, which was already sold out at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday. Very unprofessional! Unfortunately, I have heard from others that they were also dissatisfied there.

A country inn that has mastered the transformation into the current times really well! At a family celebration we were able to spend a really good time in good hands!

If there were 6 stars then I would give them. Food, as usual, very good. Service super friendly and professionally great. The ambience has gained enormously through the renovation and new building. Pure well-being. And there is still a bar where you can stop for a beer after work. Five thumbs up and thanks for the courage to invest for the guests.

Hatten 4 verschiedene Gerichte, alles sehr schmackhaft. Das Rumpsteak; Butterzart . Klasse ! Nettes Personal . Alles macht einen Sauberen Eindruck . Reservierung am Wochenende zwingend. Hier wird Gastronomie gelebt.👍👍👍

Das war ein ganz tolles Speiseerlebnis, wir hatten drei verschiedene Gerichte und alles waren sehr schmackhaft, optisch ansprechend, reichhaltig und können nur empfohlen werden. Cordon bleu, Wildburger und das vegetarische Schnitzel, alle waren zufrieden, Besonders die Süßkartoffeln wurden gelobt.

We came here spontaneously with friends. A wonderfully comfortable, modern, warm atmosphere. But the tradition is well staged and integrated. We had delicious food and were unobtrusively but always friendly and warmly “cared for”. The beers were just right and very well tapped. Our unreserved recommendation. If there's anything you could criticize, it's your own failure to not come back sooner.

Was there again after the renovation, it turned out very nice. We ate in the new extension. I personally found it quite loud there.

So if someone writes negatively about this restaurant it's better not to say anything. We were on vacation nearby and looked on the Internet for delicious food because it was my birthday. From the start the staff was super nice. 3 waiters even came to our table and congratulated me. Even a happy birthday Candle was there. The owner also welcomed all guests personally. Craziness. I've never had anything like that before. The food was indescribably delicious and very sufficient. They also asked if everything was OK. The new ambience is cozy and invites you to enjoy a second glass of wine. The schnitzel with chanterelles was perfect and a good portion. The wedding soup beforehand was very good. The boss said "Good evening" at every table...where else do you have that today? The service gets a tiny point deduction because we had the appetizer quicker than the drinks. We'd love to come back.

We had a small family celebration at the Krug Dreikronen at the weekend and were more than satisfied! Already during the preparation we noticed that we were in good hands and that our seniors' special requests would also be taken into account as a matter of course. Our party was wonderful, the food was delicious. We were particularly impressed by the extremely friendly service, something we haven't experienced in a restaurant for a long time. The inn has been newly renovated and still retains the charm of a traditional country restaurant. There is a disabled-accessible toilet and a magical winter garden. Surrounded by old oak trees, the beer garden also invites you to linger. The landlord sources numerous ingredients from regional farmers and the cuisine is traditional and tasty. We would like to thank the whole team very much for everything!

Just great before and after the renovation. The food is great, the service is great, the people are super friendly, attentive but not intrusive. We love coming here and would love to stay longer. The renovation, new building, extension actually makes it perfect, great ambience, beautifully coordinated. Keep it up, it's good that places like this still exist.

My wife and I were in Waldsrode on July 26th, 2024 at 4 p.m. looking for a home-style German restaurant... not a pizzeria, not a kebab shop, etc. We wanted to eat “German”. We had already “seen” the other one. We arrived at the Krug Dreikronen restaurant at 4:30 p.m. and, knowing that the restaurants often don't open until 5 p.m., we waited in front of the restaurant for 30 minutes until it opened. But then we were informed that all places were reserved. Can we somehow sandwich it between us? It's not a small establishment. It can't be that all the places were reserved from 5 p.m....no chance...we were completely turned down...strange...the rush at 5 p.m. was very, very manageable! Unfortunately, this company apparently lacks the entrepreneurial will to generate additional income. Dear people...we finally had to dine with a hospitable, enterprising foreign host in the middle of Waldsrode. In contrast to the Krug Dreikronen restaurant, it was packed, a solution was found and in the end we had an excellent meal and felt welcome. In the future, perhaps more foreign hosts will be preferred again...they have more flair and a sense of hospitality. Apparently the “Germans” don’t need it that much! A pity!

Very nice restaurant just outside Walsrode. Home cooking with great local dishes. The service is very good, even if the wait for food was a bit long. We sat in the newly built extension with neat new furniture and a pleasant atmosphere.

Unfortunately, according to the staff, there is no longer a beer garden there. The food smelled fantastic, but unfortunately there was no table or space left for us. We should have made a reservation. The ambience is rustic and does not match any photo shown here. It's a shame, we would have really liked to try it and we were hungry too.

Unfortunately, I can only visit the restaurant once while I'm in transit. I received a very friendly welcome and I felt very comfortable in the atmosphere. They skilfully met my taste of modern, but still comfortable. I was there around 5:00 p.m. and the restaurant was steadily filling up. I can imagine that a reservation is advantageous. I ordered a paprika cream schnitzel with fries and salad. The price-performance ratio was very good. The large schnitzel was tender and juicy, the paprika cream sauce was fresh and very tasty, as was the crisp salad with a very tasty dressing. Parking spaces are available right next to the restaurant. I would like to recommend the Krug Dreikronen restaurant.

There is still really delicious German cuisine here. Very friendly service. A great inn with a large parking lot.

Anstrengende Akustik, überlautes Telefongebimmel mit nervigem Klingelton, Kellnerinnen, die über Gäste lästern und eine Champignonsoße aus der Packung überm trockenen Schnitzel. Lecker war die Hochzeitssuppe, der Salat und die Pommes. Der erste und leider letzte Besuch.

Very nice service, value for money was also okay. Unfortunately there are frozen schnitzel and hollandaise sauce out of the bucket. In the future it would be better to make it yourself and raise the prices a little.

Wir wollten unseren letzten Tag in Walsrode gebührend bei leckerem Essen ausklingen lassen und waren super happy, dass für uns als Paar noch ein Plätzchen gefunden wurde. Denn das Restaurant ist wirklich gut besucht. Das Ambiente vereint rustikale Tradition und Moderne. Die Speisekarte umfasst gutbürgerliche Küche auch aus der Region. Wir fanden unser Abendessen einfach nur Spitzenklasse. Ein absolutes Muss, wenn man mal dort in der Gegend ist. Wir waren von der Freundlichkeit des Personals sowie Chef und Chefin, dem gemütlichen Räumlichkeiten und den leckeren Essen hellauf begeistert! Und werden gern wieder dort einkehren! 🥰

Has subsided after Corona. Unfortunately. A lot has changed after Corona. E.g. in the Gastro: it's like opening a NEW restaurant. You shouldn't build on old things. It's like starting from scratch. Many people haven't understood that yet. Unfortunately. Not even this restaurant. It was once good, then bad, then good again... now unfortunately bad again.

Wir hatten am 21.01.24 einen Tisch für 12 Personen bestellt, anlässlich des 90 Geburtstages meiner Mutter. Meine Mutter hatte sich für eine Hochzeitssuppe, Hirsch und Schweinefilet mit div. Gemüsen,die zweierlei Nachtisch... Punkt 1,lieblos gedeckter Tisch, mit Plastikgesteck und komischen LED Lichtern. Punkt 2,Schweinefleisch war ok,der Hirsch 3mal gestorben... Gemüse hart und und ohne Butter Punkt 3,Nachttisch aus der Packung, falsch angerührt und lieblos angerichtet. Fazit: Der Tag wurde zum Reinfall und die Mutti sehr traurig

Wir hatten Grünkohlessen als Buffet in einer geschlossenen Gesellschaft. Das Essen war richtig lecker und wurde immer zügig nachgelegt sodass nie ein Behälter leer war. Das Personal sehr nett und freundlich. Wir sagen ❤️ lichen Dank und kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.......
