Restaurant Konfuzius in Kelkheim (Taunus)

We used to eat at Confuzius often because we knew the restaurant from Kriftel. The food was always extremely tasty. Now we tried it, since the owners have changed. Unfortunately, the food was just okay - our dishes were quite oversalted. With a lot of water you could manage the generous portion. That was of course a real shame as we have never been disappointed. Maybe we'll try again in the future. Nevertheless, the service is still top and the new owners are also super friendly!

A place to relax and enjoy. Very quiet, soothing background noise. Very nice service, super delicious food. Very nice restaurant. The parking spaces right in front of the door. We are often guests even though we live 30 minutes away. The journey is definitely worth it. We were there yesterday and the new chef, just like the old chef, is simply fantastic!

The restaurant was very busy and only 2 people in service who seemed quite overwhelmed. The couple's toddler was also in the restaurant, so they also had to look after them. The restaurant seems very untidy. There are things lying around everywhere, such as shoes and clothes. There was no paper in the toilet. Some of the food was really good and some of it was okay. If you order sweet and sour duck, you get a plate with vegetables and meat and 2 half rings of pineapple. Plus a sauce, which is a matter of taste, unfortunately not mine. In general, the sauces are saved. You get the same amount of rice for 4 people as for 2 people and then you have to draw the service's attention several times because there is simply not enough rice. Even if the drinks are empty, you can only get something if you call service. It's not even checked every now and then. The prices are too high for the quality of the food. The prices for drinks are also steep. Too bad! In my opinion, the restaurant can be expanded from all sides!

Classic, Asian restaurant with lunch as you know it. The taste is delicious, the portions are generous and the atmosphere is nice and harmonious! Small deduction, the Peking soup (not included in the lunch menu) could have had a little more filling and the duck was a bit dry without the sauce. But otherwise highly recommended for the price! The jasmine flower tea in particular was both visually beautiful and plentiful. There was a whole pot of hot water to pour over. As a welcome there are shrimp chips on the table.

I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try the best prepared Chinese food and meet the friendliest staff. The portions are enough for an adult, the waiting time is no longer than about 10 minutes, the prices are affordable. All the best and definitely see you again 😊

Frühlingsrollen klein, zu fettig und zu kalt, das Hauptgericht und der Reis nur lauwarm. Da kann das Essen so gut sein wie wie es will, wenn es zu kalt serviert wird, schmeckt es nicht mehr. Bei anderen Tischen konnte man die Gerichte dampfen sehen, unsere standen wohl zu lange herum. Die Wärmeplatte konnte da auch nichts mehr retten. Und leider war es schon zum wiederholten Mal so. Schade, war mal mit mein Lieblingsrestaurant.

We dined there with five adults and had all the dishes on the main menu. The ambience is identical to 99% of the Chinese restaurants I know, so nothing special. Average. The service was below average. You had to wait a long time for everything, even though the store wasn't even half full. I understand that it's hard to get staff, but waiting 45 minutes for drinks is just too long. When a waitress came to the table, she was always friendly. The food wasn't good. The breading of the duck was prepared with aniseed, which dominated the entire course. Hot sauces were not spicy or spicy. Non-spicy sauces were completely tasteless. Every ALDI gravy had more flavor. Conclusion: You would be full, but I don't necessarily have to go there again.

Real Chinese food in Kelkheim-Fischbach? But hello!! In the Confucius Restaurant you can also get the European version of Chinese cuisine, but also great original dishes from the Middle Country. My (Chinese) wife, my daughter and I really enjoy eating there. Everything fresh and well seasoned. The new owners, a young couple, are very friendly and their service is excellent!!

Freundliche Atmosphäre, große Portionen,nett angerichtet,geschmacklich nicht gut.Wir hatten gebratenes Rindfleisch mit Champions.Die Gerichte waren weder von der Würzung noch von der Qualität des Fleisches in Ordnung.Die Konsistenz des Fleiches war schwammig.Darauf angesprochen meinte die Chefin der Koch würde das Fleisch mit Speisestärke marinieren.Für uns nicht nachvollziehbar und kein Geschmackserlebnis.Daher stimmt für uns auch das Preisleistungverhältnis nicht .Schade

Sehr lecker und authentisch! !! In der Umgebung gibt es kaum noch chinesische Restaurants, die authentisches Essen anbieten. Wir sind von Frankfurt hierher gefahren und haben auch für authentisches Essen länger gewartet. Aber es hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Wir kommen wieder.

The best duck in the Rhine Main area, but all other dishes are also excellent. The service is so friendly and accommodating that the beautiful restaurant has maintained consistent quality for four decades. We always like to come back.

Finally we found a good restaurant with good Chinese food. It may be that our standards are high because we are often in Asia for family reasons. Most Chinese restaurants are very “Germanized”. Es war mal zeitlang nicht so gut gewesen, da die neuen Besitzer schlechten Koch übernommen haben. Aber der Chef war so nett, dass wir noch einmal probiert haben. Es hat sehr gut geklappt, und seitdem gehen wir regelmäßig hin. Ich würde es weiterempfehlen!

Wir gehen seit Jahren dorthin. Es war aber das letzte Mal! Wir aßen Feuertopf und waren sehr enttäuscht. Das Rind- und Lammfleisch waren nur "fette Stücke". Die Menge macht nicht die Qualität. "Man sollte die Menge und auch den Preis reduzieren. Obwohl wir bestellt hatten, mußten wir sehr lange warten, war zwar nicht schlimm, jedoch merkwürdig, da es nicht viel los war. Es ist nicht mehr was es mal war. Schade!

Im Dezember - kurz nach dem Inhaber-Wechel - gab es einige Prbbleme mit dem Personal, da gebe ich den Vor-Bewertern recht,. Ich persönlich wurde da aber vom Junir-Chef sehr nett und flott bewirtet. War jetzt wieder zum Mittagessen und kann nur Gutes berichten - diverse Unzulänglichkeiten = Anfangsprobleme wurden behoben. Besonders hat mir die schöne Dekoration zum Chinesischen Neujahrsfest am 10.2. gefallen. Wenn Gelüste auf chinesisches Essen, auch weiterhin nur ins Konfuzius !

We were there with 8 people and only made a reservation the day before. Our table is large with plenty of space. However, everything else took forever. So we waited over an hour for our food. There was no starter at all. Then they tried to sell us a meal that we didn't even order, but another one was also forgotten. In response to our complaint, the last meal came when the first ones were already finished. We weren't the only ones complaining. We pointed out several times that something wasn't going well here. After the food was there, no waiter came to our table. Neither to clear away nor to pick up new drinks. We would have liked to have made more sales, but we would probably have waited forever for our dessert and we also had to ask for our bill three times. When we billed, we were apologized that the cook was sick and there was a temporary cook there. But he is hardly responsible for the service. The food itself was very tasty, but the portions were relatively small for the price. Our conclusion, especially with the Schlemmerblock you want to get to know new places. However, such a service scares away new customers. We know that things can be better, but we were all very annoyed by the evening and won't be coming back any time soon. Note for people with walking difficulties. Free parking in front of the door, wheelchair accessible entrance, only one step to the toilet.

Great restaurant with really good food. Make a reservation as the place fills up fast. The night we went seemed a bit hectic; maybe they were down an employee. We had three different people provide us service, which was good and bad. They didn't accept Visa as a payment product.

Beinah hätte ich mich von den schlechten Rezensionen der letzten Monate beeinflussen lassen. Wir haben uns aber gestern Abend selbst ein Urteil erlaubt: Der Service war sehr nett, das Essen kam schnell, obwohl es am Samstagabend gut voll war, und lecker war es auch. Qualitativ auch wirklich gutes chinesisches Essen, das nicht so überwürzt war wie andernorts. Nur der obligatorische Glückskeks fehlte 😉

jahrelang gutes lokal mit gutemvessen und angenehmer antmosphäre. leider durch neue leitung rine katastrophe. die chefin selbst machte sehr lsuten lärm mir besteck sortieren.trotz beschwerten mehrerer gäste kein interesse aufzuhören. essen dauerte ab bestellung 75 minuten bis es an den tisch kam. der geschmack war noch gut...aber nicht mehr so wie früher. leider werden wir nach vielen besuchen der letzten jahre nucht mehr hingehn.

Das Essen war gut. Die Ente war knusprig und zart, ohne dass sie zu viel Natron gesehen hat (Lege lässt grüßen😉). Die Bedienung war auf den ersten Blick etwas distanziert. Im Laufe des Essens war der Service aber gut. Das Restaurant ist empfehlenswert.
