We were there with 3 people, service etc. was all very good. I ordered a dish with fried potatoes, spit roast, baked ham and black beer sauce. It was served very quickly and wasn't really nicely presented. For me, the food was on the level of a canteen; apparently the meat was just reheated; anything else would not have been possible in such a short time. The court absolutely didn't pick me up, which was a shame.

Today we were here again for dinner after 4 years, just like back then. We'll be back soon 👍The service is simply great, thank you. We felt very comfortable.

The restaurant is located in Norddeich right on the tourist highway, so it's pretty relaxed on the terrace, the staff is friendly and courteous, the order was taken quickly and the generous portions were served even faster.

Very friendly service. Drinks are brought quickly, the desired food is picked up and served after a short wait. The portion size is great. Both the meat and fish dishes taste delicious. Since, as we all know, the eye eats with us, everything is beautifully prepared. The restaurant is well maintained and clean. The prices are reasonable. I am completely satisfied and have chosen it as a regular place for our vacation time.👍 I can't comment on the rooms as we have another holiday home.

Overall picture is actually consistent. Staff friendly and quick. The food tasted very tasty, but the price/performance ratio wasn't right, as for a meal over €20 I would expect more as a side dish than 3 potatoes or 5 mini croquettes, which are more like a children's portion.

We've been here again for a good 3/4 years, the 4th time. We enjoyed it very much, there were plenty of senior plates, the service was very nice and friendly as always. At the end of the year, six people were our guests for the new year. Hope everything goes well.

My husband and I stayed in Norddeich for 2 days and ate at Gurnrahn on the first evening. We were so excited about our fish dishes that we also ate here on the second evening. The fish was well prepared, and the side dishes, in our case potatoes and salad, were also great. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating on both evenings. We are planning to spend a few days in Norddeich again next year, and of course we will eat at the Gurnrahn again.

We eat here at least twice on vacation. The conditions are very friendly and fast. Above all, very fond of children. We are always asked if the little ones' food should be brought in advance, especially when we order appetizers. The price-performance ratio is also good. We are already looking forward to next year.

We were there with our folding bikes and were offered a table of our choice. When we wanted to put our bikes on the side of the table, a non-friendly waitress pointed out that bikes were only allowed to be parked around the corner of the house in the driveway. When folded, these bikes are smaller than a mini trolley and would not have gotten in the way. Each stroller takes up twice as much space. These bikes each cost a mid-4-figure amount and are not even insured if left unattended and unplugged. So we couldn't come here as guests because the house doesn't have any bicycle parking spaces and guests with bicycles obviously don't fit into the concept. Therefore only the lowest rating. A star. PS... to answer them. We spent a week in Norden Norddeich. And we were 30 km away and in town on our mini folding bikes. All restaurants (except them) gave us a friendly welcome and had no objection to the mini trolly-sized bicycles or had adequate secure options for safely connecting bicycles. All except their restaurant.

We had dinner at Knurrhan. You shouldn't be very hungry as the portions are quite manageable for the price. My husband's dish was very tasty. In my case the fish was quite well done and the fried potatoes were very fatty and not at all crispy. A pity!

We had a very tasty meal there. I had shrimp plus baked potato with potato cream and a mixed salad. My companion had the gurnard fillets with horseradish sauce, boiled potatoes and a mixed salad. Everything was excellently prepared and therefore very tasty. The service was very attentive and friendly. The ambience is modern/slightly maritime and pleasant.

We had dinner in the restaurant. Luckily we got a table because the restaurant was very busy. The service was friendly but relatively short, as I said the restaurant was completely full. The drinks were a little cheaper than in the restaurants in the area. The food was OK, unfortunately our food wasn't particularly prepared and, above all, the meat was relatively dry. The sauce seemed to have been mixed. But the salad was very good. We had dinner here a few years ago and I remembered it much better. A pity. Unfortunately, the prices and opening times on the website are no longer correct. Maybe we were eating here at the wrong time and it's actually better.

We spent a week in Norddeich on vacation and ate twice in the Knurrhahn restaurant. Everyone enjoyed it very much and special requests were taken into account. The waitresses and waiters were all very friendly and always up for a laugh. We received our food quickly, freshly prepared and warm. That's how it should be, we can only recommend Gurnrahn.

We were there a total of 2 times during our 7-day stay in Norddeich. The staff is very friendly and happy to joke around. We all really enjoyed the food and the portions were big enough. Thank you very much - recommended unconditionally - we would be happy to come back.

We can only recommend the restaurant. We were there twice during our short trip to the Norddeich. The food was delicious and the service was simply great. We were special guests and had the perfect special service. We had a lot of fun and it wasn't the last time there.

We were repeat visitors on our vacation and visited several times. Always different meals, sometimes with special requests, which didn't pose any problems. Service was top and always friendly. The food was ready quickly and tasted excellent. Only recommended. We recommend booking a table in advance, as the rush sometimes exceeds capacity.

I can't say anything about the rooms. We ate at Gurnard. We were warmly welcomed and informed that the food might take a little longer... because a larger group had ordered food before us. As for the food...the fish platter was very clear🫣, but my food was plentiful! It was delicious!!! The staff is super friendly...all in all we would love to come back 😃👍

Wir waren aufgrund der Empfehlung eines Freundes im Knurrhahn. Wir waren an einem Samstagabend, gegen 19.00 Uhr, dort. Im zweiten Anlauf bekamen wir einen schönen Tisch in einem Nebenraum. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Die Servicekräfte hatten sehr viel zu tun, waren aber aufmerksam und freundlich. Getränke und Speisen wurden zügig notiert und serviert. Leider entsprach das Essen, Schweinelendchen und gemischter Fischteller, nicht unseren Erwartungen und vor allen Dingen nicht dem, was unser Freund uns berichtet hatte. Die zwei Schweinelendchen waren leider totgebraten und fast nicht genießbar, sind auch zum größten Teil zurückgegangen. Die Bratkartoffeln (sehr dunkel) und das Gemüse waren naja. Der Fisch war auch sehr trocken, allein das Matjesfilet und die dazu gereichte Soße, konnten ein bisschen punkten. Soßen (Hollandaise und Butter) waren auch etwas knapp bemessen, haben wir aber nicht bemängelt. Wir haben den Fehler gemacht, nicht sofort etwas zu sagen. Beim Abräumen haben wir insbesondere auf das Fleisch hingewiesen. Die Reaktion der Bedienung war, dass sie es in der Küche anmerken würde, eine weitere Reaktion erfolgte nicht. Schade, dass das Essen nicht mit dem ansonsten guten Eindruck mithalten konnte. Auch wenn an einem solchen Tag viel Betrieb ist, ist das für uns leider sehr negativ.

Nice restaurant, good menu, delicious food, table reservation is recommended. If you want a smaller portion, you get €2.50 off the price. However, the waitress always has a reason why this is not possible with the dish. Or if you ask, can you please leave out the onions? That also does not work!!!!!!!! A pity

We ate there yesterday with 5 people and a dog. Very nice and cheerful staff. The food was great and the beer was very good. A very pleasant atmosphere. We love coming... so we'll definitely be back! Many thanks to the Gurnard team.

The waitress was very nice, the food was delicious, the restaurant was clean, we would love to come back!

The food is really bad. Mushroom cream schnitzel 21.90. Service very unfriendly, can't handle criticism, schnitzel gristly, dripping with fat, Maggi fix sauce. The response to criticism was nasty. No excuses, just excuses. Oil leaks out of the food. Never again. Only star for the new one that was trained. The only friendly service.

We had booked a table for New Year's Eve. It was eaten in 2 stages. It was a bit bumpy, but the evening had to be organized. When you entered you didn't feel like you were welcome as a guest. Rather, the guests are processed quickly and then finish work quickly. The staff seemed very stressed and annoyed to us. The food was mediocre. We ate much better in Norddeich. You're not always lucky.

Essen war viel zu teuer, für zu kleine Portionen. Wurde 2x gefragt ob ich was trinken will obwohl man gesehen hat das wir zu zweit waren und mein Mann noch nicht am Tisch war. Geschmacklich hat es auch sehr nachgelassen. Schade, war das letzte mal in dieser Lokalität.

Unser Apartment war super schön groß und sauber. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker und das Personal sehr nett, wie auch unsere Vermieter. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Werden bestimmt mal wiederkommen!!

Der Knurrhahn ist nicht nur ein sehr leckerer Fisch, nein es ist auch ein sehr gutes Fisch Restaurant in Norddeich. Das Restaurant befindet sich direkt auf der Einkaufsmeile. Es ist empfehlenswert vorher einen Tisch zu reservieren, da viele andere ebenfalls schon wissen, dass man hier gut essen kann. Für jeden ist etwas dabei. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und kümmert sich sehr gut um das Wohlbefinden der Gäste. Das Restaurant ist sehr schick und gemütlich eingerichtet. Falls ihr in der Nähe seit, solltet ihr auf jedenfall im Restaurant Knurrhahn einen Besuch abstatten.

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub im Knurrhahn. Und wieder war das Essen sehr lecker und die Service war freundlich und sehr aufmerksam.

Kurzentschlossen sind wir hier heute um 15:00 Uhr eingekehrt. Die Mitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich und bat uns einen Tisch in der Ecke an, wo wir mit unserem Hund genügend Platz fanden. Das Essen war zügig serviert und war wirklich lecker. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können es ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen. Gegebenfalls kann es sinnvoll sein, wenn man zu einer späteren Uhrzeit essen möchte, einen Tisch zu reservieren.
