A nice place with a “simple” but tasty menu. The location is a bit hidden in a passage and that's a shame, because it's worth a visit if you know what's there. The decor is rustic and dark, but neat and clean. The prices can be described as inexpensive and the dishes are of a decent size. There is no delivery service, but you can order or pre-order something to take away. The service is very friendly, helpful and responds to requests. In summer there is a small outdoor area with service. We're happy to be there.

Very nice service and pleasant atmosphere. Menu is somewhat confusing and visually needs improvement. But the food tasted very good. You just have to like Holo ;) Unfortunately the witch's house will close on January 20th, 2024.

Everything just fits here! Incredibly friendly staff, good cuisine and reasonable prices. When we are in Lengerich again, we will definitely come back. Highly recommended restaurant!

Food was great, we were still served despite being late for lunch. The ambience is very successful and cozy, you can easily stay here for longer.

Bin jedes Mal so begeistert,von diesem leckeren Essen im Hexenhäuschen.Hier kannste futtern,wie bei Muttern und wirst immer satt und zufrieden nach Hause gehen.Ich weiß Eure gutbürgerliche Küche sehr zu schätzen.

Die Essensauswahl ist gut Bürgerlich,aber trotzdem sehr appetitlich und Schlaf Ckhsft.

Kleines Restaurant mit rustikaler schöner Deko und gut bürgerlichem Essen. Die Karte ist übersichtlich dafür kann man aber individuell variieren und das Essen ist sehr gut. Preis Leistung ist ebenfalls gut und die Bedienung authentisch und sehe nett.

Preiswertes und gutes Essen in lockerer Atmosphäre

This place had a very odd history. A famous TV Chef came and advised the last proprietor on improving his quality. The cringeworthy and pretentious menu that was so much made "popular" via a TV program and the local Press that people claimed how good the food was. In fact my two visits only convinced me that the food was mediocre "Schnell Imbiss" quality at best. The Hexenhauschen is a cosy small resturant with a nice ambience and is ideal for small groups or couples. Despite the above negative tone, I can say that since new people have taken over the place, the food quality has vastly improved, with freshly cooked meals of tasty German cooking. Gone are the microwave small bread rolls etc. I can recommend this Resturant now and say one will enjoy not only a pleasant meal but also a homely atmosphere that the staff provide, without the pretentious ness of the past. The Star Chef that once provided his "wisdom" has since himself closed down his own Hamburger Steak House Restaurant. Lengerich has few places where one can go out for a meal, and the downward trend is depressing indeed.
