We are absolutely thrilled with the restaurant, the ambience, the super friendly and always attentive service and especially the good quality food - and the portions are always generous! The meat is fresh, juicy & delicious. You can also eat vegetarian food well. We rarely eat so beautifully and well in the Rhineland. We sat inside during our visits and the tables were always set. Prices are reasonable, considering that it is also fully designed for tourism. Everything here is worth the money! Absolute recommendation :)

Meine Begleitung war mit seinem gewählten Essen (Schlachteplatte von der Tageskarte) zufrieden. Leider war meine Wahl nicht zufriedenstellend. Wenn ich im Restaurant ein Kartoffelrösti Pute für € 24,90 bestelle, laut Beschreibung in der Karte Putenbruststreifen und Dampfgemüse auf Kartoffelrösti mit Emmentaler Käse überbacken, erwarte ich, dass das Rösti aus frischen Kartoffeln hergestellt wird, so groß ist, dass Putenstreifen und Gemüse darauf liegen und das Ganze überbacken ist. Bekommen habe ich eine Auflaufform, gefüllt mit einer Tiefkühlgemüsemischung (90 % Karotten, ein Stückchen Kohlrabi, zwei Miniröschen Brokkoli und Blumenkohl), fünf Streifchen Putenbrust, sehr trocken, mit einer dicken Schicht Käse überbacken. Gekrönt wurde das Ganze von vier Mini Rösti aus der Tiefkühlung, die lagen oben auf. Da ich Hunger hatte, habe ich einen Teil aufgegessen, geschmeckt hat es überhaupt nicht, es war kaum gewürzt. Als die Teller abgeräumt wurden, wurde ich trotz des halbvollen Tellers gefragt, ob es gut war. Als ich dies verneinte und auch erläutere, was nicht gut war, bekam ich ein Schulterzucken und die Antwort: Wir machen das hier so. Und dann drehte der Herr sich um und ist gegangen. Es wurde auch nicht gefragt, ob wir noch etwas bestellen möchten, Kaffee oder ein Dessert. Für mich ein sehr enttäuschendes Abendessen, schade. Wenigstens hat der Wein geschmeckt, was für mich aber in einem Ort, wo sich vieles um Wein dreht, selbstverständlich ist. Das Restaurant kann ich nicht empfehlen.

Zander recht gut, Kesselfleisch leider mit ungenießbarem Sauerkraut (zu sauer). Aufmerksame Bedienung. Beschallung mit Techno Musik.

Not recommended for vegetarian dishes!!! Small portion of potatoes with carrots, 1 small piece of kohlrabi and broccoli gratinated with cheese for €21.80 plus a small side salad for €7.20. The food wasn't seasoned at all and despite being told three times that it didn't taste good, no one apologized or at least was given pepper and salt. Never again. This is just a rip off for the quantity and quality.

Small portions and very expensive.

It often looked busy and yet we were served relatively quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food. Unfortunately I was a bit unlucky with my dish, I had imagined something different and it didn't suit my taste. My 4 family members were happy with their dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive. Price-performance ratio was good.

Dit restaurant in het vrij toeristische Hagnau heeft een aardig terras en serveert onder andere Schnitzels wat soms even zoeken is tussen alle Italiaanse restaurants. Goed gegeten.

We didn't have a reservation, but we spontaneously got a nice table. The friendly waiter served us carefully and competently. The selection of dishes met our taste exactly. If there is something to complain about, it would be the slightly slanted position of the tables (due to the slight slope). But it's complaining at a high level 🤭 We can only recommend the house.

The food was very tasty, the service was extremely attentive and friendly. Despite the restaurant being full, we received our food and drinks quickly. In short: everything was great and we can only recommend it.

Sat outside, took what they had on special. Tried red wine from the Hagnau area, very good. Reasonable prices.

Food quality was okay, but nothing special. Gravy for schnitzel with spaetzle costs €3.50 EXTRA! It doesn't work at all. Who eats dry schnitzel with spaetzle?

Extremely courteous service, rustic atmosphere and very tasty food in generous portions. Sanitary facilities are also very well maintained. Quite within the price range. We enjoyed the stay and will definitely come back when we are in the area. Clear recommendation!

Nice waiter, unfortunately we misunderstood each other and I got the wrong dish. I would have been given a new plate, but I still ate. It was very tasty, could have been a little warmer. As an apology we received a nightcap from the house. We'll still come back. Even on the second visit everything was wonderful.

Food was OK. Unfortunately I forgot to look at how much a Diet Coke 0.3 costs when ordering: 5, 10 euros. This is absolute usury.

We were guests at the Keltenschenke with a tour group of 45 people. The process was well planned in advance with the owner; we were served friendly and quickly by pre-selecting the dishes. The food was a success all around and the service, 2 waiters, were very courteous and friendly. Extra requests were also taken into account. We can only recommend the restaurant. The location, within walking distance of the lake, is also really nice

Poor quality meat, overcooked rice.

We hadn't made a reservation and were asked to sit at the counter until a table became available. As announced, this only took 15 minutes. We were served very nicely and friendly and received our food within 30 minutes, even though the restaurant was more than full. The food was very good and tasted just as we wanted. We would be happy to come back on our next holiday on Lake Constance.

We were in the Keltenschänke on May 28th and saw an offer of veal liver, which I ordered straight away. I was really looking forward to it, but it was hardly edible and tasted a disaster, as I'm used to better things from other restaurants. My friend's schnitzel was wafer-thin and covered in thick breading and tasted also a disaster. A small side salad cost over 7 euros Beech. The salad was ordered without tomatoes, of course it came with tomatoes. We will definitely be dining elsewhere for the rest of our vacation

The restaurant looks cozy from the outside and the service is friendly. However, the food was not edible. Exorbitant prices for zero taste. Small portions. Croatian snack bar nothing more. For Cevapcici almost 30 gold ducats? Not even homemade. Salad was ok. There's not much to do wrong.

Without a reservation you won't get a seat. If you have reserved and arrive 1 minute after your appointment, the table is already taken. No information on how long to wait, "wait at the bar". They simply don't need it because they're overcrowded anyway. To answer: Not true, it was exactly 6:31 p.m. on my watch and 6:32 p.m. on my friend's watch. We had a reservation for 6:30 p.m.

It's a shame to sell such a frozen treat. Drowned in oil and completely overpriced. Little tip. Boil the ready-made Maultaschen in WATER beforehand and then fry them, then they won't be so far dry. If the food had at least been of good quality...unfortunately not here. Melting onions half raw? It was probably cut by the caretaker… And then charge almost €19?! It tastes even better at Aldi. The ready-made salad dressing was also diluted. Disgusting. It would have been better to read the reviews on Tripadvisor beforehand. Too bad about the money. Unfortunately I have to agree with the previous review. All convenience food, we had the asparagus dish, shrimp plate and the vegetable ravioli. Even my children recognize that they are not homemade. Sad. Not even the hollondaise sauce is homemade. Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars here. Completely exorbitant prices for dog food. Fried shrimp were already rancid from the old fat. A no go! And the landlord can save himself the superficial answers and instead take a language course at the VHS first. Hopefully the ownership of this snack bar will change in the near future. Only the waiter was friendly. That's about it.

Today Father's Day there is a big folk festival on this street. We bought coffee and cake from a local club across the street and wanted to eat it on the almost empty terrace of this restaurant. We were chased away very rudely by the waitress. There is another way. But if you don't have to rely on guests. We are from Luxembourg and good friends of a travel entrepreneur. If we had been treated differently we might have ended up in business. This shot backfired, even if it didn't affect her. We will absolutely not recommend your house.

The service, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food were good. Unfortunately the prices don't match the quantity of the food. When we visited on May 1, 24, the Cevapcici without a side salad cost €21.50! , two days later all dishes were priced at €2.00. The children's plate with fries and fish fingers 12.50 and then 14.50€. We had a great time, one of the more successful restaurants we ate at in Germany! We ordered schnitzel and a grill plate that came with white asparagus, potatoes and an excellent sauce. The prices are not low but reasonable. Highly recommended!

Wir (mein Mann und ich) waren an 3 aufeinander folgenden Abenden in der Keltenschenke zum Abendessen, jedes Mal sehr zufrieden und satt. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, gutes und reichliches Essen, es gibt sogar Seniorenteller, von denen man auch gut satt wird. Preise sind auch ok. Schönes, rustikal-gemütliches Lokal, gute Atmosphäre auch unter dem Personal.

We were there on our last evening at Lake Constance, everything went wonderfully. The food was very tasty and the service was great. All 8 people in our group were more than satisfied. Priced between €20-30, which is normal these days. Keep it up 👍🏻

Not cheap but highly recommended

The restaurant preserves a piece of history. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the family that runs the restaurant is very hospitable. The food is on an exquisite level. It was definitely my first choice and I will happily come back.

Wiener schnitzel with fries was very good. The side salad lacked sauce and was quite expensive.

Very tasty food, we really enjoyed the Belkanteller and the Balkanplatte. The fries were super salty and the rice was also very, very good. Finally we didn't treat ourselves to a delicious dessert. The staff was super nice and the food came very quickly. I can particularly recommend the schnapps from the Senft distillery.

Hallelujah! Here you can still get something to drink - even coffee - after 9 p.m. on a Sunday, even in the winter season. The staff was unobtrusively nice (so you are greeted and then you know when to hold back). The only thing that bothered us was the fruit flies at our place at the bar. Maybe you should empty the collection container more often than once a day. I often sit near the sinks at bars, but I've never seen the little critters so intrusive.

The service was very attentive, but you could tell that the service team was happy that we could translate for our English-speaking guests, because they could or did not dare to speak very little English. The taste of the food was okay - the minced steak was closer in taste to the Cevapcici than the expected minced steak and the steamed vegetables were also a bit "low" - Schwabentöpfle and deserts were a poem for that! The patio is just like a patio in a holiday resort - so it's nice but nothing special.

Sind auch heuer wieder beim Essen bei Ihnen gewesen, wieder lecker wie ein Jahr zuvor. Haben am Mittwoch Abend sehr lecker bei ihnen gegessen, leider ist es Heute Abend am Donnerstag geschlossen, trotz dem es im Internet steht geöffnet.

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub jetzt schon zwei mal hier. Nicht nur wegen des preiswerten Mittagstischs, auch wegen dem sehr guten Service.

Schon zum zweiten Mal in diesen Urlaub dort gewesen und den Mittagstisch bestellt. Das Essen war schmackhaft, die Portion groß und der Preis mit 12,90 € günstig. Die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders zu erwähnen wäre, dass es durchgehend bis 17 Uhr Mittagstisch gibt - eine Zeit in der andere Lokale erst aufmachen.

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Lecker gegessen und gut getrunken.

Wir haben Felchenfilet und Zanderfilet gegessen. Beides war sehr gut und eine jeweils große Portion. Wir können nichts schlechtes sagen. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Ich kenne die Schenke schon seit 30 Jahren. Der derzeitige Pächter macht tolles Essen und hat einen guten Service. Als Einwohner Hagnaus freue ich mich sehr auf über so ein Lokal

Sehr freudlicher Service. Schönes Lokal. Schnitzel war gut. Salatteller ok. Almschnitzel ok, die Soße könnte etwas mehr Gewürz vertragen,die Spätzle dazu waren leider sehr fade. Ich hatte den Eindruck, der Koch hatte beim kochen das Salz vergessen.(kann passieren) Alles in allem fehlte uns würze am essen. fazit: ganz ok, aber kein kullinarisches "must have". bei den Preisen ( Salat mit ein paar Fleischstücken 17,50€ / Wiener Schnitzel 19,50 + 3,50 extra Soße/Almschnitzel 13,90€ war ok, wenn auch um einiges kleiner) doch etwas enttäuschend.

Soweit okay, haben vegetarisch gegessen, da ist noch viel Luft nach oben.

Hier ist für alle Platz. Eine umfangreiche Speisekarte mit vernünftigen Preisen. Mir hat das Gericht mit Pute und Gemüse sehr gut geschmeckt. Sehr aufmerksam und nette waren die Bedienungen.

Rustikal, ein bisschen altbacken. Service war gut, das Essen nicht durchgängig sehr lecker.

Das Essen ist der Hammer. Wer hier in der Nähe ist sollte sich das nicht entgehen lassen. Sehr sehr frische Zutaten. Super freundliches Personal. Und das Ambiente einfach top.

Nettes Restaurant direkt an der Hauptstraße. Freundliche Bedienung und gutes Essen, sehr köstlicher Salat , beim Schwabentöpfle (Schweinefilet Medaillons mit Käsespätzle) hätte ich mir gewünscht das man die Käsespätzle in einem extra Geschirr serviert dann würden sie nicht in der Champion Rahmsauce ertränkt.

Uriges, gemütliches Restaurant. Der Service war sehr nett. Leider habe ich knapp 10 Minuten auf nachgeorderte Mayonnaise gewartet, aber sonst war alles tiptop! Das Essen war sehr lecker, schmackhaft, auf den Punkt gebraten und große Portionen. Alles in allem sein Geld wert und absolut zu empfehlen!

Kann man machen, sollte man aber nicht. Teuer, wenig, schlecht. Der Imbiss an der Tankstelle kann das günstiger und besser

Putenstreifen auf Rösti. Kommt leider anders. Convience Rösti Taler sehr blass oben drauf, unten Gemüse und Putenstreifen in Sose. Frust. Müsste in Karte geändert werden. Nicht zu empfehlen.

De passage à Hagnau suis rentré un peu par hasard dans ce restaurant… mais absolument pas déçu. Service à l’écoute, pas d’attente et repas vraiment excellent.

Die Karte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Es gibt regionalen Wein. Das Essen ist sehr gut, auch wenn es bei hohem Andrang am Abend länger dauern kann bis es serviert wird. Trotzdem kann ich es empfehlen. Die Kellner sind sehr freundlich!
