Best Greek restaurant in the area... I always enjoy going there. Highly recommended!

We had a huge reservation at 5 for almost 20 people and they had everything perfectly ready for us! They ordered our drinks as soon as we sat down and came back quickly for our food orders. They made the food so fast that we were really surprised and all of our orders were perfect! It was so delicious and made really well! Our server, Max, was incredible because he took our entire order without writing anything down and every single order was correct! He was very friendly, polite, respectful, and spoke 4 different languages! He spoke to some of us in German, Spanish, and English and these were not even his native language. He was very impressive and this restaurant is very lucky to have him!! We come here everytime we visit from America and they have had the same napkins for over 15 years which we love for nostalgia reasons! A great place, but a little warm inside so dress light! (Parking is difficult to find sometimes but worth it!)

We went there for dinner for the first time based on a recommendation. Unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations. After ordering, the first salad we received was just swimming in oil: leaf salad with a slice of tomato, a slice of cucumber, and a teaspoon of coleslaw from a bucket. Tzatziki as a starter came without bread. The main course arrived about 50 minutes after ordering, and there was no tzatziki on the plate. The meat was consistently cooked too long and too dry, and the tomato rice was too dry. The service was more concerned with regulars and friendlier. Unfortunately, no luck in finding a new favorite Greek restaurant.

Very good food, super friendly, great atmosphere

The best Greek restaurant for miles around. We ate at Kavala for the second time on Saturday. And once again, it was perfect. There were six of us adults, and everyone found their food delicious and was extremely satisfied. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The service staff is truly attentive and friendly. I would eat there again anytime and recommend it to anyone.

We had made a reservation. It was already very busy when we arrived. The staff was friendly and eager to please, but it was so busy that the kitchen couldn't really keep up. The food was delicious, and it wasn't noisy. Overall, a good experience, but we had to wait a long time for our food.

We were looking for a place to stop for lunch on our way back from Prague to Dinkelsbühl. Google recommended this Greek restaurant to us. We were two adults, and I have to say, everything was just perfect. A great location in the historic old town, right by the city wall (gate). Super friendly, personable, and attentive staff. Decent portions and reasonable prices. A full 5 stars, we'd gladly go back!

Absolute recommendation! High quality of food, beautifully prepared, tastes very good. The staff is nice, they responded quickly to my email and easily accepted and confirmed my table reservation. The restaurant is always busy, so the noise level is very high (complaining at a high level). We would definitely like to come back.

I will say openly: The food was not tasty - very overcooked, with a lot of oil and fat. This was the worst Greek meal I've ever had. Even the bread wasn't fresh, it was already 2-3 days old. The staff tried hard to compensate for various things, but that couldn't save the situation.

At Kavala you can eat comfortably in the restaurant or pre-order, pick up and enjoy at home. In summer you can also dine outside. The food is very tasty. Highly recommended. In the evening it is better to make a reservation. The service is quick and friendly, simply pleasant.

Very tasty food, especially gyros, is no longer popular with most Greeks these days. In Nuremberg, for example Most of them are full of fat or burnt, but here they are absolutely delicious. The server is super friendly and helpful. The disadvantage is that on weekends without a reservation there will be waiting times as it is very popular. We really enjoy coming here from Nuremberg. Unfortunately, I expected more at 4.7 stars... In general it was nice, but there were a few things that bothered me. 1. There is hardly any choice for vegetarians. Apart from salad, sheep's cheese and baked mushrooms + a few starters, there are no vegetarian dishes. Several pages of meat and fish. 2. The stuffed grape leaves were stuffed with meat. We didn't expect that and unfortunately it wasn't described in more detail on the map. 3. My tomato rice was over-seasoned for my taste 4. It was extremely loud in the restaurant. I had severe problems communicating with my partner. 5. The waitress was dressed in sweatpants. I've noticed this several times in Greek restaurants, but I still don't think it's appropriate. Nevertheless, the service was super super nice! In general, despite the points mentioned above, we had a nice evening.

Full points! We were in the restaurant yesterday and, in addition to delicious food, we also experienced really outstanding service! Our waiter Max was super attentive and took the order in his head without any errors - mind you we were a group of about 10 people! Even our daughter (three years old) was simply handed a coloring book and crayons without us asking for them. It's great that the little ones have been taken into consideration here too! All in all, we had a lovely evening and would like to thank you again!

Are from Nuremberg and were invited to a 70th birthday yesterday. Since it has become difficult to find a "good Greek" with a good price-performance ratio in Nbg! We were lucky to find everything at once. Good authentic food for a normal price with great, friendly, prompt service and generous portions. The waitress "Max" was simply awesome! He was so enthusiastic, as if he had been put there just for our table. The restaurant was full, we ate very well and were completely satisfied :-))) we will probably make the journey to Altdorf to be able to eat very good "Greek". Simply a great Greek restaurant

For me personally the best Greek in the Nuremberg region. The ambience is very nicely decorated, not too much, but nice and subtle. Had the “island plate”. Calamari with scampi, with tzatziki and rice. But I decided on potato chips. Food hot and tasty. There was also a small side salad (which I didn't take a photo of). The service was very nice and friendly. Paid around €68 for two drinks, two starters and two main courses. Value for money is great considering both main courses were fish! For the garlic lovers: order the potato chips with garlic on top.

Ordered to pick up, would like to give it 3.5 stars :) Food was solid, but nothing really blew me away, except for the tomato rice, which was the best I've eaten so far. All in all, a solid meal (I ate it 3 times before it was gone, so you'll definitely be full! I'm male myself and weigh 100kg).

Ich war gestern dort zum essen und es war geschmacklich einmal mehr sehr sehr lecker. Auch das Servicepersonal ist super lieb und freundlich. Alles in Allem ein super tolles Restaurant.

Das Kavala ist wie eine Festung , Pasxalis der Privat auch mein freund ist, ist auch ein hervorragender Gastronom, er macht das unmögliche möglich. Für 10 Personen Bestellt und geliefert eine Fleisch Fisch platte und obwohl die Lieferung über 20 Km war , ist das Essen warm angekommen und hat das Gefühl gehabt man isst vor Ort, das ist halt Pashalis. Empfehlenswert immer eine Woche früher zu reservieren da der laden sehr gut besucht ist.

Wir waren heute zu 9 dort mit unserem Dart Verein , und ich kann eins sagen es hat uns mega gefallen , das Essen war super Personal super und Der ouzo einfach nur schön kalt und schmackhaft. Jamas und Dankeschön

Top! Da reichen 5 Sterne nicht aus! Wir haben sowohl im Restaurant als auch zum abholen bestellt. Beide mal sind unheimlich lecker. Souvlaki und Gyros können wir zusammen mit dem besten Tzaziki sehr empfehlen. Das Personal ist witzig, einzigartig und einfach klasse! Immer wieder gerne und für uns persönlich die Nummer 1 Anlaufstelle, wenn es um griechisches Essen geht👍🏼

Essen war ganz gut. Typisch griechisch. Gyros war sehr lecker, nicht fettig. Die Metaxasauce war eine Enttäuschung, schmeckt nach Sahnesauce mit Pilzen und Paprika. Tzatziki und Taramas dafür wieder mega lecker. Service super, sehr freundlich, locker und witzig. Man kann hier Seniorenteller ( etwas kleinere Portionen) und Kinderteller bekommen. Finde ich toll, da mir die normalen Essensgrösse oft zu viel ist. So passte noch eine super leckere Nachspeise rein. Wir kommen wieder.
