We've been going there for many years, whenever we're in Düsseldorf. The staff is very attentive and friendly, and the food is 👍

A delicious gyro is always possible. Everything OK.

I have tried Bifteki, mixed grill plate and rump steak. All were so good. Also the staffs were so friendly.

Wonderful restaurant, everything was very tasty, my lamb was soaked in a similar bechamel sauce, we were left alone so that we weren't asked if we would like something to drink. We sat with a water with a starter and main course. Very considerate!! Even when we wanted to pay, we weren't asked whether everything was to our satisfaction, but we were asked: cash or card. After paying, we were asked: Do you want another ouzo? But unfortunately the thirst was stronger. More mass than class!

Food was very good and plentiful. Our wishes were taken into account and they made us food that wasn't on the menu.

All types of meat were on point. Really great. The starter was grape leaves. At my request, these were warmed a little. Unfortunately they weren't homemade. Too bad. When I asked, it was explained to me that these could spoil quite quickly. We were only there once, but we can fully recommend the restaurant for our visit. Keep it up and thank you.

Friendly service, the Thassos platter for €19.50 was average. I can't recommend the Greek cevapcici, the lamb chop was too tough for me, the skewer was good. The salad with half an egg (!) came first - the fries without any corresponding sauces. Maybe should have asked. The ambience seems simple and typically Greek… Conclusion: Not enough for a restaurant, every french fries shop can handle it.

A very nice restaurant, with very attentive staff. The food is divine, so much so that we ate there two evenings in a row.

The food and wine were good. The service was quick and very friendly. We found paper tablecloths over normal tablecloths a bit strange, or that a wine glass had a mushroom mat, this paper that is attached to the bottom of the beer glass as a drip catcher.

Dirty. Dogs ran across the benches. Disgusting.

It's a shame, we were disappointed. After our first visit we realized that the food was perfectly okay (prices weren't necessarily cheap but okay) but the service wasn't at all to our liking. They were all very nice - once you got to see them. Unfortunately we had to wait forever for everything (except the food!) because the service was so good that we didn't even come/look in our direction. It should be said: the restaurant was not very full. What happens when the hut is completely occupied? In the end we were able to make our presence felt. We actually wanted the bill, but the cellar couldn't know this. But he asked directly: cash or card? That left us a bit irritated at the end, it could have been that we wanted to order something else - drinks/dessert etc. But apparently that wasn't even considered. Overall, a strange visit to the restaurant but at least the food was tasty, if not outstanding.

Solid Greek restaurant with outside and inside seating. Large selection of Greek dishes at fair prices. The meat was very tender and tasty, the service was quick and attentive.

I couldn't understand the glowing reviews. The food is OK, but neither much nor cheap. Extra tzatziki and dessert are way too expensive. In terms of cuisine, it doesn't come close to my favorite Greek restaurant, Hellas, which is unfortunately in Göttingen.

The restaurant inside is a little feast for the eyes, a touch between an old, rustic pub and a fine restaurant The meal 2* Gyros number 203 (if I'm not mistaken) was excellent, the portion was awesome, the salad was added separately in a decent size, which I personally found very nice In my opinion, the water is not run of the mill, but comes in a bottle as seltzer. All in all, great value for money

The restaurant is one of my favorites in Düsseldorf. Very friendly staff and quick service. Food is always freshly prepared and comes to the table in good portions. One disadvantage is that there is no parking space next to the restaurant and the existing parking spaces on the side street are often full. However, you can also park in the Düsselstrand car park for a small fee.

My grandfather's favorite restaurant. It has been gone for a long time, but the memory of how holidays were celebrated in this restaurant remains. Grandfather's 90th birthday was celebrated. Klassen Petr. I really hope that we will return to this restaurant someday.

I came to this place with my family for lunch and the waitress greeted us disrespectfully and was even worse than kicking us out. Even though we paid 160 euros, we were not satisfied. We lost all our fun. The kids waited over an hour for fries and were hungry. I never recommend this place.

We had a birthday dinner with about 25 people in the restaurant. From my perspective they had every reason to complain, but in reality they were not only very friendly the whole time, but also very patient and helpful. At the end I also got a bottle of ouzo. The food was great and the atmosphere was very nice. In summer you can also sit outside. By the way, the portions are quite large - you should be careful not to order too much :D

I have visited a few Greek restaurants in and around Düsseldorf in the last few months! Of course, Kavala doesn't have the fanciest interior, but the food is really good! The coleslaw is freshly homemade. Tzatziki delicious and fresh. The portions of many competitors were small, but here you get enough of a portion to fill you up. Fish and meat good and not overly seasoned. I give it a full 5 stars today!

Über das Ambiente kann ich nicht viel sagen, da es via Lieferung bestellt wurde. Essen war überhaupt nicht lecker. Zermatschte Pommes und das Gyros hat etwas eigenartig gerochen. Preisleistung ist hier überhaupt nicht gerechtfertigt

Wir waren zu Besuch bei Freunden und waren mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern dort essen. Zum Glück reserviert vorab, denn es war gut gefüllt am Sonntagabend um 18 Uhr. Von außen sieht es nicht sehr einladend aus, aber innen: mega tolle Atmosphäre. Sehr gemütlich und griechisch eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen ist sehr sehr gut gewesen. Ich hatte das Lammfilet mit griechischen Kartoffelscheiben und Broccoli. Es war das beste Lammfilet welches ich seit langem gegessen habe. Wirklich perfekt zubereitet und sooooo zart. Auch alle anderen Gerichte meiner Freunde waren fantastisch. Es gab wirklich nix zu meckern. Deshalb absolut verdiente 5 Sterne! Einen Ouzo zur Rechnung am Ende gab es gratis. Wir kommen bald wieder!

Simply a great place to eat exceptional Greek food - all day for fair prices. And you can pay by card! In other words, that is not the usual German restaurant or pub that either does not open at all at lunchtime, or closes again at 3pm for "Mittagspause", or works with cash or EC-Cards only, which even most German banks have stopped working with. I love Kavala! It is paradise in the middle of madness!
