Great restaurant. We had the summer buffet with freshly grilled food. The service was very attentive and the food was truly delicious. Absolutely worth the price.

Super nice atmosphere in an old stone building with steel beams and beautiful decoration with large candlesticks. The food was good, but not outstanding. The bread with herb butter and curd was delicious and extremely nice. The portion of meat and fish was normal in size, but the side dishes were clearly not enough for the price. The overall price-performance ratio was not appropriate despite inflation. The dessert tasted good, especially the cherry ice cream. But not particularly nicely presented. But what really bothered us was the poor service. At a restaurant like this you might expect that empty glasses would be noticed and that you as a guest would be asked if you would like to drink something else. It would be good for business too. So we definitely would have ordered more... In addition, no one came to ask if everything was OK and everything was okay. We had to wait a very long time for the food, then again for dessert, then for the bill. The waiter was quite haphazard and overall the whole group seemed a bit disorganized. Although it was Valentine's Day and busy, the restaurant wasn't completely full. We wondered what the service would be like when there was really something going on here. In the end we thought we would spend a romantic evening there, but the poor service ruined the whole thing a bit. People also talked about the poor service at the neighboring tables... So there is an urgent need for improvement, especially when it comes to prices!

Great food and indeed little choice, but how much choice do you need if what is on the menu is good. Very friendly staff and despite the high building a great atmosphere. Really recommended.

We were a bit put off by the reviews, but we still wanted to try the restaurant and didn't want to drive there again. And we weren't disappointed. The service was super friendly and very attentive. We were served bread and a welcome greeting from the kitchen. Our main course was delicious, and we especially loved the steak. Often the meat isn't cooked to the right degree or is tough, but here both were perfect, and with local meat. The ambiance is, of course, beautiful. So if you're staying at the hotel, you can have a wonderful dinner here.

Making a reservation over the phone was straightforward. We booked for 6 p.m. so the evening wouldn't be too late, as my partner, whose birthday was that day, had an early shift the next day. Well, that meant getting home early was a thing of the past. But first things first: We were greeted warmly, shown to our table, and handed the menu. The table was beautifully set with folded napkins, a tall candlestick, and a good selection of cutlery. What I didn't like was the number of flies circling our table. After a reasonable amount of time, the waiter came and asked what we wanted to drink. The drinks arrived after a short wait, and the evening seemed to be going well. But appearances were deceptive. We waited a full hour for our appetizer, an Ammerland ham sandwich. By then, we'd finished our drinks, but the two waiters weren't paying attention to our table, so we were left "dry and dry" for a good 45 minutes. We were quite surprised that the neighboring tables were so well looked after, and were even asked several times if everything was okay, but that we weren't asked this question once the entire evening. After waiting an hour for the starter, and an appetizer in the form of a baguette and frozen herb butter, which was impossible to spread even after 20 minutes, as well as a broccoli cream soup, which was described as a welcome from the kitchen, we were finally able to eat the Ammerland ham sandwich. It tasted really good; the ham is fantastic. I would recommend serving the dressing for the side salad separately, because I didn't like the dressing at all and it ruined the taste of the entire salad, but that's just my personal opinion. Another hour passed after the starter. The waiter came to our table and placed a bottle of water on the table and said that the main course would be coming soon. I opted for the steak (seen in the picture). The mashed potatoes were fresh and delicious, the Béarnaise sauce nothing special. Unfortunately, the steak was only lukewarm; I suspect it had been sitting for quite a while. It was still quite raw inside, but the flavor was very good considering how cooked it was. We were hoping that dessert would come a little faster. How could a cheese variety that's just sliced ​​take so long? Well, in this restaurant, the impossible is made possible. In fact, we waited another hour for our dessert, and we'd already been in the restaurant for a full three hours by the time dessert arrived. My cheese selection was very tasty, but after such an extremely long wait, I had no desire to eat anything else, so I had my cheese wrapped up. On a positive note, the waiter offered us a drink on the house. So, we were in this restaurant for almost 3.5 hours for three simple courses, and it was far from full that evening. Communication with us was very limited. Bottom line: one star for the beautiful restaurant and one star for the delicious food. One star deducted for the long wait times, one star deducted for the dirty restrooms, and one star deducted for the very limited communication from the service staff. Don't worry, we won't be back.

Checked the menu on the website in advance - unfortunately not up-to-date as we found out later. When arriving in the restaurant, the waiter saw us to our table and was very correct. Unfortunately, the menu that we received had way less dishes (winter menu) - not per se a problem, but none of the dishes were vegetarian. In 2023... The waiter went into the kitchen and asked what was possible, solution offered was to make us pasta. As we ate pasta the two days before, we passed and went to the local Imbiss that had a good many veggie options. For a green hotel, a choice vegetarian foods should defenitely be on the menu. Quite dissapointing. The reply of the owner here does not make sense, the menu handed to us yesterday had 2 starters (indeed 1 veg option) and 4 main courses (none vegetarian). The solution offered to us was to leave the shellfish sauce out of the pasta with chanterelles. Maybe the owner has no idea what menu is actually offered to his guests? And instead of responding in a courteous manner with an investigative mindset, implying that your guests must be idiots because you do serve veg foods, doesn't add to the experience.

Are overnight guests and wanted to have a delicious dinner. We waited in vain for one of the two waiters for 30 minutes. In between we went to the counter and politely asked for a menu. Together with a(!) card we received a snide message saying that we were a little ahead of the booked reservation time. That's right, we were about 10 minutes early. 25 minutes after picking up the menu there was still no waiter at the table. Then we went and had a delicious meal in Ostbevern.

Ate here tonight, the choice was very limited and there was also a buffet for 25 euros, the choice there was also very limited, not very well prepared, little choice for families with children. The trout was tasty Maybe better luck tomorrow at breakfast Breakfast is now finished and very good. Highly recommended that you choose this during your stay. Wide choice, good taste and a sparkler included

We visited the casein factory during our short vacation at the Beverland group resort. On the first evening we booked a buffet for our family, two adults and a four-year-old daughter. This could only be served as a table buffet, but that sounded very good to us. Unfortunately the evening was a total failure for the following reasons: *Unfortunately, we received no information in advance about the process or the dishes of the individual courses. For this reason, we had no idea that it was only in the third course, after more than an hour, that a halfway child-friendly meal with spaetzle was served. Stuffed grape leaves, candied goat cheese or borscht were not her cup of tea up until this point. Mind you, we stated the child's age when booking. At that point it was pointless to order a children's meal because the general mood was already at its lowest point. * The quality of the main course food was unfortunately the final disappointment: salmon and chicken were much too dry, entrêcote was incredibly tough. The consistency of the risotto was far too thick and not as mushy as one would like. The assumption is that it was left standing and kept warm for far too long. In the end we left after the main course and skipped dessert. We passed this on to the waitress, but no one was interested at the moment. However, we would still like to highlight the staff, who were always very friendly due to the seemingly generally tense situation. For this and for the beautiful location we get the two stars. In the evenings that followed, we visited surrounding restaurants and were completely satisfied with all of them.

Once again we had an enchanting evening. The quality of the food cannot be beat. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Absolut von A bis Z tolles Retaurant. Wir waren zum Candle Light Dinner mit 5 Gänge Menü. Nur 50€ pro Personen in absolut romantischer Stimmung. Hier wurde auch der Heiratsantrag gemacht ;) Der Kellner konnte jedes Gericht von Anfang bis Ende erklären. Kann ich von Herzen nur weiter empfehlen.
