Excellent, busy because food is fantastic. Staff very attentive, on special occasions and bank holiday would recommend reservation. Tipp. Mittags mit Suppe,Salat und mit a smile auch Desert. Essen wiederholt excellent. Kommen gerne wieder und wieder..

Viel zu teuer für die sehr mittelmäßige Qualität. Anscheinend gibt es in Hagen nichts besseres, sonst wären die Bewertungen nicht so gut.

Gesund und hochwertig, mit hervorragendem Geschmack. Wir bestellten Tintenfische und Champignons mit Soße, und das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir achten auf gesunde Ernährung, und dieses Gericht war perfekt zubereitet. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die Wert auf gutes Essen legen.

Wir gehen super gerne ins Jägerhut! Das Essen schmeckt jedes Mal klasse, die Preise sind für die Portionen unschlagbar und der Service ist einfach top. Besonders der Besitzer und der junge Mann, der dort immer bedient, sind absolute Herzensmenschen. Auch der Typ, der die Getränke liefert, ist ein totaler Herzensmensch. Aber man muss echt sagen: Das gesamte Team dort ist durch die Bank weg super freundlich und aufgeweckt. Man fühlt sich einfach rundum wohl. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wir hatten eine größere Veranstaltung im Jägerruh. Dass da nicht alles so klappt wie à la carte, ist verständlich. Trotz allem war der Service gut, das Essen super lecker. Die Portionen schön groß, sodass wirklich jeder gesättigt ist. Und wenn man es nicht schafft, kann man es sich einpacken lassen. Getränke schön kühl und schmackhaft. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis dort. Die Preise sind etwas höher als bei der Pommesbude um die Ecke, aber auch das ist bei dem guten Essen für mich persönlich gerechtfertigt.

Wir waren mit vier Personen dort. Essen war sehr gut. Ich hatte den Lachs mit Spargel.....Wirklich gut. Auch die anderen Gerichte waren sehr lecker. Wir waren montags dort und es war sehr gut besucht. Die Servicekräfte waren alle sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Gegenüber des Restaurantes ist ein Minigolfplatz, dort haben wir vorher eine Runde gespielt bis das Lokal geöffnet hat.....perfekt.

Wir sind da wiederholt Gäste. Der Service ist sehr gut, freundlich und aufmerksam. Wirklich fein. Auch das Essen mit Fleisch ist mehr als ausreichend, lecker und preislich angemessen. Der vegetarische Gemüseteller hat dagegen enttäuscht. Er wirkt wie eine billige Notlösung, die u.a. aufgrund hohem Anteil grünem Paprika nicht richtig gut schmeckt, sondern durchgängig leicht bitter.Eher nicht zu empfehlen. Das Ambiente ist m.E. in den 90er Jahren stehengeblieben und könnte eine Auffrischung vertragen. Da das Lokal aber eigentlich immer gut besucht ist, wird das wohl erstmal nicht passieren, leider.

Wir sind spontan auf der Durchreise hier hin und man hat es möglich gemacht, dass wir trotz gut besuchten Restaurant spontan einen Tisch bekamen. Sehr freundlicher, aufmerksamer und schneller Service! Essen war auch sehr lecker und guten Portionen. Hier kommen wir gerne nochmal hin wenn wir in der Nähe sind!

Das Jägerruh ist ein Wohlfühlort. Leckeres Essen, tolle Atmosphäre und super nette, aufmerksame Servicekräfte. Das Essen schmeckt gut, leider war das Fleisch des lustigen Bosniaks eines Gastes zu durchgebraten und auch etwas knorpelig. Mein Spargel war sehr bissfest, aber besser als zu weich. Der gegrillte Lachs war hervorragend. Alles in allem kann ich das Restaurant empfehlen, ich empfinde die Preise für die extra Beilagen allerdings übertrieben.

Sehr nettes Personal, sauberes Ambiente! Essen kommt zügig und immer sehr heiß 🔥, was ich sehr klasse finde. Schmeckt sehr gut. Mitarbeiter unterhalten sich tendenziell leise untereinander um nicht die Kunden zu stören. Sehr aufmerksam. Ich hatte den Grillteller und das Kalbsschnitzel, sehr zu empfehlen. Komme gerne wieder!

Anlass war ein Familientreffen. Es war ein schöner Abend mit leckerem Essen. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und schnell. Ist zu empfehlen. Großer Außenbereich, teilweise überdacht mit Heizstrahlern ausgestattet.

Leider keine gute Erinnerung. Mit 6 Personen an 4er Tisch gequetscht trotz fast 5 Wochen vorheriger Buchung. Alle Essenbeilagen ok und schmackhaft aber alle unterschiedlichen Fleischspeisen trocken und nur schwer essbar. Kein weiterer Besuch geplant.

Meine Frau und ich waren am 26. JANUAR im Restaurant, wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und man wieß uns den Tisch zu, den wir uns zu unserem Hochzeitstag bestellt hatten. Unsere beiden Essen waren geschmacklich hervorragend, es waren genau die richtigen Portionen und der Kellner sehr freundlich und aufmerksam! Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, wo es richtig gemütlich war und man gut und toll sitzen konnte! Schade daß wir nur 5 Sterne 🌟 vergeben können!! Wir können es sehr empfehlen und werden wiederkommen!!!😃

Ich hatte mein Geburtstag vor ein Paar Tagen gefeiert, und ich war tatsächlich sehr überzeugt von der Bedienung, ins besondere die blonde Kellnerin. Sie war sehr nett und hilfreich. Das Essen, anderseits war schon überteuert und die Portionen dafür sind klein gewesen. Ansonsten hat es gut geschmeckt. Die Atmosphäre is super und angenehm, wir konnten uns sehr gut unterhalten und Gespräche führen.

Das Essen war lecker und die freundliche Kellnerin, die mich bediente, war sehr nett und half mir bei der Auswahl des Essens.

Freundliche Atmosphäre und netter Service – leider war’s das auch schon. Das Essen ist eine komplette Enttäuschung und den Preisen in keiner Weise angemessen. Gemüse und Beilagen wie Pommes wirken wie Tiefkühlware aus dem Supermarkt. Für diese Preise erwartet man frische Küche und handwerkliches Können – nicht Mikrowellen-Niveau. Die Schweinemedaillons und Steaks waren extrem trocken und kulinarisch schlicht misslungen. Nach diesem Erlebnis braucht man über andere Gerichte gar nicht mehr zu sprechen – der Eindruck ist eindeutig. Wer bereit ist, Supermarkt-Essen zu Preisen einer guten Restaurantküche zu akzeptieren, wird hier vielleicht glücklich. Für alle anderen gilt: teure Imbissqualität im Restaurantkostüm – besser großräumig meiden.

From the outside, the restaurant makes a very good and inviting impression. Unfortunately, that's where the positive aspects ended for us. During our visit, numerous problems arose: Several orders were either not brought at all, served incorrectly, or arrived at the table with a considerable delay. The situation was particularly disappointing for vegetarians: There wasn't a single vegetarian dish on the Christmas menu. We were forced to make do with a makeshift starter salad and a portion of fries. Even these fries weren't served until the very end. In addition, the female server was extremely unfriendly and rude. Her tone was more reminiscent of a drill sergeant than restaurant staff. Friendliness and warmth were sadly lacking. She showed little understanding for our complaints. When we addressed the situation with the owner, we received only the curt reply: "We had 200 people here today." As a supposed apology, a bottle of pizza wine was placed on our table, which in no way compensated for the numerous shortcomings. For us, this visit was definitely the last.

A 0.4 liter pilsner, an espresso, a long drink, and calf's liver as the daily special (a good portion that's also filling) for only €36.80 – I think that's a very good price. That deserves a thumbs up! 👍 They even threw in a Julischka chocolate bar as a gift. 😋

I've been eating here for over 40 years and have met up with many people here during that time (e.g., for class reunions or birthdays). In all this time, I've never been disappointed, nor have I heard anything negative from anyone else. Sure, it's a bit more expensive, but quality and good service come at a price. The portions are very generous, and the food simply tastes great. It doesn't get any better.

We were lucky and got a table without a reservation. The leg of lamb, which was offered off-menu, was a dream. Service was top-notch, as always.

Actually a great restaurant, but the waitress is terrible! How can anyone be so unfriendly from start to finish! The waiters are great and absolutely courteous, but the female staff are truly a disaster. Some of the portions are too small!

The ambiance is truly beautiful and very cozy, ideal for getting into the mood. The staff also makes a great effort to please their guests. There is ample parking across the street at the mini golf course. For my taste, however, the whole thing is a bit overrated. I wouldn't choose it again for a private dinner. While the menu is clear and appealing, the food is rather unspectacular. Those who come with a great appetite might be disappointed – it's more suited to an expensive snack. I ordered a steak "medium," but unfortunately, it was cooked all the way through. For the price, that was very disappointing. However, the restaurant is certainly suitable for celebrations or larger events: they can easily arrange tables for 20 or more people. Overall, opinions are certainly divided. It's not outstanding, but it's not really bad either.

My wife and I were out for dinner in Hagen for the first time in a while... disappointed by a nearby steakhouse (in the FernUni area), we chose Jägerruh. The ambiance, the appetizers, the main courses... everything was to our complete satisfaction... truly fantastic! We've rarely eaten such good and sumptuous food... Plus, you immediately feel welcome, the service was attentive and exceptionally friendly - so we're happy to return to Jägerruh again and again - hats off!

It's very nice there. There are plenty of parking spaces across the street. The staff are exceptionally friendly, very prompt, and attentive. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, down to the last detail. I highly recommend the restaurant.

The food was very fresh and well prepared, but the service was very unfriendly. Unfortunately, you're insistently asked to leave the restaurant after 30-40 minutes because the next guests are already waiting. A flop, unfortunately, and it screams profit and passing on the money to the guests. Never again.

I discovered that there is a restaurant, like those that once existed, that serves game directly from hunters. It's the perfect place for anyone who enjoys high-quality meat and places the greatest importance on the careful preparation of their dishes. As Feuerbach said: Man is what he eats.👍

A very nice restaurant with a well-structured menu. A lovely summer garden. We had the lunch menu, and it was very good, freshly prepared, plentiful, and delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed because we were several groups at the same time. Better planning is needed here. The price of the lunch menu is completely justified. There is ample parking across the street.

A friend and I ate here on Saturday and have to say everything was excellent. Beautiful restaurant with a great outdoor terrace. We ordered mushrooms in garlic sauce for our starter, and they were fresh mushroom caps. After that, we had the main courses of grilled meat and Zurich-style schnitzel. Each dish was excellent value for money. The service was excellent, and even though it was very busy that day and there was a party going on in the winter garden, we received our drinks and food very quickly. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to the entire team.

We had a great lunch here. I really liked the seating arrangement - it offered plenty of space without losing the cozy atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the stay very pleasant. The cheese starter deserves special mention: it was surprisingly large and really tasty – a real highlight. The main course met our expectations, even if it wasn't particularly outstanding. Overall, we felt very comfortable here and would come back at any time.

We were there today spontaneously and hungry. For the first and last time. Too bad about the money.

We ate “Argentinian fillet steaks” this evening. First of all, the female waiter was very harsh and also forgot my wife's salad. Furthermore, there were no instructions or questions about the dish, such as how the steak should be fried/salad is generally served with the dish. The result was that my steak was still almost raw, the grilled vegetables were almost black and on top of that, the rösti I ordered was very floury and not crispy. Sad 😞

Unfortunately, it feels like it's getting worse and worse... they don't point out that there's only a limited menu that doesn't suit anyone except meat eaters. And only when asked is a change grumpily accepted. The post-socialist, blonde-haired, operated-on prison guard likes to convey her discontent to the guests in an absolutely grotesque and anti-service tone. The men are all friendly and nice but this service pearl is an absolute no go! You can't unleash something like that on guests. It is absolutely loud and due to the lack of exhaust air and the slight draught, you freeze and then smell like a frying pan... The already very limited food was of poor quality (meat cut along the grain and fried absolutely dead) and that Vegetables had the charm of the Herdecke hospital canteen. Sorry, even if you have the advantage of the location and can attend every event from the adjacent Gottesacker due to a lack of competition - you should still maintain your own claim that characterized the restaurant for so many years.

Pure chaos, food not edible, staff overwhelmed

The Jägerruh restaurant is definitely not what it used to be. Unfortunately, compared to back then, the portions there are far too small for prices that are far too high, and the quality is now very mediocre. We've been there twice recently and we were very disappointed both times. Too bad.

I think the restaurant has grown a lot over the last few years. X years ago the menus were still laminated DinA4 sheets and you sat on old cushions in the seating areas. Now everything has been nicely modernized and the service was extremely friendly. We found the prices a little excessive, hence 4 out of 5.
