A 0.4 liter pilsner, an espresso, a long drink, and calf's liver as the daily special (a good portion that's also filling) for only €36.80 – I think that's a very good price. That deserves a thumbs up! 👍 They even threw in a Julischka chocolate bar as a gift. 😋

I've been eating here for over 40 years and have met up with many people here during that time (e.g., for class reunions or birthdays). In all this time, I've never been disappointed, nor have I heard anything negative from anyone else. Sure, it's a bit more expensive, but quality and good service come at a price. The portions are very generous, and the food simply tastes great. It doesn't get any better.

We were lucky and got a table without a reservation. The leg of lamb, which was offered off-menu, was a dream. Service was top-notch, as always.

Actually a great restaurant, but the waitress is terrible! How can anyone be so unfriendly from start to finish! The waiters are great and absolutely courteous, but the female staff are truly a disaster. Some of the portions are too small!

There is ample parking across the street at the mini golf course. For my taste, however, the whole thing is a bit overrated. I wouldn't choose it again for a private dinner. While the menu is clear and appealing, the food is rather unspectacular. Those who come with a great appetite might be disappointed – it's more suited to an expensive snack. I ordered a steak "medium," but unfortunately, it was cooked all the way through. For the price, that was very disappointing. However, the restaurant is certainly suitable for celebrations or larger events: they can easily arrange tables for 20 or more people. Overall, opinions are certainly divided. It's not outstanding, but it's not really bad either.

My wife and I were out for dinner in Hagen for the first time in a while... disappointed by a nearby steakhouse (in the FernUni area), we chose Jägerruh. The ambiance, the appetizers, the main courses... everything was to our complete satisfaction... truly fantastic! We've rarely eaten such good and sumptuous food... Plus, you immediately feel welcome, the service was attentive and exceptionally friendly - so we're happy to return to Jägerruh again and again - hats off!

It's very nice there. There are plenty of parking spaces across the street. The staff are exceptionally friendly, very prompt, and attentive. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, down to the last detail. I highly recommend the restaurant.

The food was very fresh and well prepared, but the service was very unfriendly. Unfortunately, you're insistently asked to leave the restaurant after 30-40 minutes because the next guests are already waiting. A flop, unfortunately, and it screams profit and passing on the money to the guests. Never again.

I discovered that there is a restaurant, like those that once existed, that serves game directly from hunters. It's the perfect place for anyone who enjoys high-quality meat and places the greatest importance on the careful preparation of their dishes. As Feuerbach said: Man is what he eats.👍

A very nice restaurant with a well-structured menu. A lovely summer garden. We had the lunch menu, and it was very good, freshly prepared, plentiful, and delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed because we were several groups at the same time. Better planning is needed here. The price of the lunch menu is completely justified. There is ample parking across the street.

A friend and I ate here on Saturday and have to say everything was excellent. Beautiful restaurant with a great outdoor terrace. We ordered mushrooms in garlic sauce for our starter, and they were fresh mushroom caps. After that, we had the main courses of grilled meat and Zurich-style schnitzel. Each dish was excellent value for money. The service was excellent, and even though it was very busy that day and there was a party going on in the winter garden, we received our drinks and food very quickly. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to the entire team.

We had a great lunch here. I really liked the seating arrangement - it offered plenty of space without losing the cozy atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the stay very pleasant. The cheese starter deserves special mention: it was surprisingly large and really tasty – a real highlight. The main course met our expectations, even if it wasn't particularly outstanding. Overall, we felt very comfortable here and would come back at any time.

We were there today spontaneously and hungry. For the first and last time. Too bad about the money.

We ate “Argentinian fillet steaks” this evening. First of all, the female waiter was very harsh and also forgot my wife's salad. Furthermore, there were no instructions or questions about the dish, such as how the steak should be fried/salad is generally served with the dish. The result was that my steak was still almost raw, the grilled vegetables were almost black and on top of that, the rösti I ordered was very floury and not crispy. Sad 😞

Unfortunately, it feels like it's getting worse and worse... they don't point out that there's only a limited menu that doesn't suit anyone except meat eaters. And only when asked is a change grumpily accepted. The post-socialist, blonde-haired, operated-on prison guard likes to convey her discontent to the guests in an absolutely grotesque and anti-service tone. The men are all friendly and nice but this service pearl is an absolute no go! You can't unleash something like that on guests. It is absolutely loud and due to the lack of exhaust air and the slight draught, you freeze and then smell like a frying pan... The already very limited food was of poor quality (meat cut along the grain and fried absolutely dead) and that Vegetables had the charm of the Herdecke hospital canteen. Sorry, even if you have the advantage of the location and can attend every event from the adjacent Gottesacker due to a lack of competition - you should still maintain your own claim that characterized the restaurant for so many years.

The Jägerruh restaurant is definitely not what it used to be. Unfortunately, compared to back then, the portions there are far too small for prices that are far too high, and the quality is now very mediocre. We've been there twice recently and we were very disappointed both times. Too bad.

I think the restaurant has grown a lot over the last few years. X years ago the menus were still laminated DinA4 sheets and you sat on old cushions in the seating areas. Now everything has been nicely modernized and the service was extremely friendly. We found the prices a little excessive, hence 4 out of 5.

I have known this restaurant for about 35 years. We were there at very regular intervals. It gets more and more expensive every time (which is normal, unfortunately) but the portions are getting smaller and smaller. Yesterday's food was a disgrace! A platter for 2, for example, the steak was so dry and tough it was sad. The turkey meat was partly raw. The fries for TWO would have been little for one person. Then Aivar was missing from the record. Was always there otherwise. We thought it was missing. I asked politely and they brought it to us. €4!! was charged for this. For 2 teaspoonfuls. The handful of fries was also extremely salty. Minced steaks were burnt! Then there is a new female waitress. This asks you in a military tone in 5 minutes, 3 times: "ready dialed" in an unfriendly and annoyed manner. She didn't respond to our complaints (after asking: "Is everything good?") and looked nasty. My family and I will probably look for another restaurant after more than 35 years as this experience was unfortunately not the first.

There were three of us and we had reserved. Restaurant was very busy. From ordering the food to serving it went quite quickly. The price-performance ratio is ok. The restaurant is highly recommended. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We will come back.

Unfortunately I can only give it a very bad rating. Wanted to go out for dinner for two, but didn't have a reservation...! I asked if there was a table available for two people, and the waiter at the end assigned us a table. A minute later another waiter came and asked us if we had reserved, which I said no and told him that his colleague and assigned the table. I was told that if I hadn't made a reservation I would have to leave. Which is what we did. In my opinion they could have at least tried to accommodate 2 people somehow. And not to ask her to leave.

Three of us were there for lunch today. Unfortunately the visit was disappointing. A grill plate was ordered, which was ok from my point of view and from the point of view of the person dining. The price is also right. What, in my opinion, isn't that great: a plate of pork fillet medallions with fried potatoes, vegetables and hollandaise sauce. Guys, to be honest, if I ask the waiter twice if the vegetables are canned and the answer is no twice, and I jokingly ask which chef could cut the obvious frozen carrots like that, I then get the answer The vegetables are out of the bag, then I can only smile about it. Of course hollandaise sauce too. The handful of fried potatoes, the three dry-fried medallions and the sparse standard salad with ready-made dressing are, in my opinion, not worth 23.50. The limp champions on my mother's Jägerschnitzel solemnly announced that they also came from a can (and yes, we know what fresh ones look like) and thus round off the bland aftertaste. I can definitely understand the positive reviews, some dishes look really great. I also don't want to say that it's generally not a good restaurant. Nevertheless, I would like/need to share my negative experience at this point. I hope it is received as a positive criticism and not just a rant. That's not supposed to be it. My plate was returned and wasn't charged, which is completely ok and fair. There were no questions from the staff. Well, it was pretty full too. But still. It was probably the last time. And as you may know, my family has visited this restaurant many times over the last 20 years. Sorry.

Beim betreten des Restaurants stach einem ein sehr unangenehmer Geruch von komplett abgestandenem Spülwasser in die Nase. Als wir dann an der Theke direkt von Kopf des Eingangs sahen, dass eine Bedienstete darin auch noch Gläser spülte, sind wir rückwärts wieder raus.

Ich war jetzt zum 2 mal dort Und ich bin sehr enttäuscht!!!! Nach dem ersten Mal, habe ich mir gesagt, das ich nie wieder dahin fahre. Nur leider habe ich mich überreden lassen. Mein Ess Teller habe ich nicht essen können, das Fleisch war teilweise verbrannt und dazu haben die auch das günstigste Speck Fleisch benutzt, das war kein Fleisch das war Speck. Und dafür 30 Euro!!! Jeder Cent is zu viel!!!!!! Ich fühle mich verarscht und sauer
