Excellent food. I was surprised that the restaurant was so busy in the afternoon. After I got my meal, it became clear why. First-class food, staff who treat guests like good friends, and a cozy, soothing atmosphere. On the second day of my visit to Duisburg, I went back. The same result. The staff even remembered what I wanted to drink the day before. Guys: my respect!

I've been recommending it for years, both for lunch and dinner. The lunch menu is very attractively priced. With a soup starter, salad, main course, and dessert, it's always the first choice for lunch. And we always feel welcome as guests! Unfortunately, that's not available everywhere anymore.

I ordered a shepherd's steak (minced meat stuffed with feta cheese). It was very tasty. I was full. The service was very friendly, and the food was served quickly. Slivovitz was also included on the house.

We've been there several times. We had a Tyrolean steak and a fillet steak in pepper sauce. Both were very good, and the English-grilled fillet steak was cooked to perfection and excellent. The pepper sauce is divine. However, I could have done better with the dressing on the side salad. We will be back and can recommend the restaurant.

I've been there before and remembered it fondly, but a lot has changed since then. Bright, friendly, and very clean, this restaurant invites you to linger and enjoy yourself. Service was excellent, and the food and drinks were fresh and delicious. And the price/performance ratio is 100 percent right. The only thing isn't very nice, but when the restaurant opened there in 1970, it was still nice and clean, and Oberhausen was a thriving city. We'll definitely be back at the International. Keep up the good work!

We spontaneously reserved a table for four people, and everything was already set upon arrival. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was also very attentive, and the entire staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I've been eating there regularly for some time now. Sometimes with six people. This place is definitely my first choice when it comes to dining out. The wedding platter is my priority. The taste is truly top-notch, the quantity is more than adequate, and the service and staff are ALWAYS friendly!

We actually just wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon this restaurant. A chance encounter that was definitely worth it! Even though there were six of us and we arrived pretty close to closing time, we received a very friendly welcome – without any stress or feeling unwelcome. The food was truly delicious, freshly prepared, and arrived promptly. Everyone was satisfied, and that's saying something with so many people. You can just tell that the people here are passionate about what they do and enjoy it. You don't experience such a relaxed, hospitable atmosphere every day. Conclusion: We'll definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

We went there for the first time today. The food was fantastic! We had a steak platter for two with eight steaks, fried potatoes, and mushrooms. Each of us had an appetizer. We also got some house tomato soup. A salad with homemade dressing was served with our meal. And to finish, a Julischka (a kind of pudding). It was excellent! Next time we'll skip the appetizer. I didn't manage to finish my share. We paid €105 for everything, including two drinks each (without tip). The waiters were super friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.

From the very first moment, we felt welcome and cared for. The Croatian warmth of the staff is exactly what you imagine true Balkan hospitality to be: warm, attentive, and with a genuine smile. The culinary experience was a hit: from wonderfully crispy schnitzels to aromatic Balkan specialties – every dish was lovingly prepared and absolutely delicious. The crowning glory was the fantastic dessert platter, which was not only a visual highlight but also delighted each of us with its taste. Hospitality is lived here, and enjoyment is a top priority. If you want to experience authentic Balkan cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back – with big appetites and even more friends!

Amazing goulash soup. Schnitzel was perfect. Had a perfect Croatian white wine. Friendly service. Hidden gem in Oberhausen. Only critique was the broccoli was a tiny bit over done. Everything else spot on. About to enjoy a spot of Frenet Branca for dessert.

Very polite service, always asking if everything is okay, as well as an appetizer. A soup that is very tasty, there's nothing more to say about it.

We came here for the first time this evening based on a recommendation. Asparagus cream soup and chili prawns as a starter, both really very tasty, then a grill plate and a vegetarian pan. The meat was very tender and tasty, the vegetarian pan was made with fresh vegetables, not just frozen goods, but really fresh and delicious. Very successful food and also very friendly and attentive service. We'll definitely be back and are looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu 👍

Very friendly staffs and good service. They even take their own initiative to bring our dog water. The zalm and meat plates are delicious, their French fries are very good and the salads are very fresh, the only pity is that the Wiener schnitzel is a bit too hard and The daily soup was a bit too salty.

Overall a good restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff. We visit the restaurant regularly as a family and have held one or two family celebrations there. But, at Easter, reducing the menu so that not even half of the dishes are on it and raising the prices per dish between 4 and 7 euros (Jägerschnitzel does not cost 17.99 euros but 23.99 euros) is an outrage.

A Saturday evening when the reservation didn't work out and everything took a while. No excuse for that while we stood around a bit cramped. The meat was good and as you would expect. The rosemary potatoes are prepared with dried herbs and were sweet because they were layered. Unfortunately I missed the other order and then flippantly overplayed it, saying it was too salty. The sauce tasted mostly like fondor. The wrong wine ended up in the glass. The daily receipts were counted in the dining room. The LED next to the table flickered annoyingly. When - like at the beginning - all the seats are occupied, it is very loud. You have to like the many artificial flowers. Many smokers stand outside under the awning and bring in the cold and smoke despite the vestibule. That wasn't a nice evening. Judging by the many good reviews, we were disappointed.

We have visited Restaurant International many times and of course enjoyed the classic Croatian specialties such as cevapcici and grilled plates - but what really blew us away were the steaks! Grilled to perfection, buttery tender and full of flavor. Added to this is the warm service that makes us feel welcome every time. The atmosphere is cozy, traditional and invites you to linger. If you like eating high-quality meat and appreciate authentic cuisine, you shouldn't miss this restaurant. We're always happy to come back!

Went to the restaurant for the first time today and were very satisfied. We got a table quite spontaneously, which is not a given. The food was super tasty and very filling. The service was really nice and, above all, quick. We didn't have to wait long for our food, even though the shop was full. Then there were side dishes on the house, from ajvar, mayo & ketshub to bread, with olives and herb butter and finally the Croatian schnapps! Not a given these days. We'd love to come back.

We just had dinner there. You should actually be careful with superlatives, but what we were offered here was simply fantastic. The food was incredibly good, the atmosphere is simply incredibly beautifully decorated and the staff was friendly, well-groomed and professional. I have 16 years of professional experience in the catering industry. The food was very tasty, I had the shrimps as a starter and the grilled plate as a main course, unfortunately I was too full to try dessert afterwards 🤭. All in all, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Great restaurant with excellent service! We went to Restaurant International for the first time today and had lunch there. A really nice visit! Free soup is offered before meals until 3 p.m., and bread with butter is provided in the evening - a great gesture. The restaurant has a partly new and modern interior, which is very attractive. The attentive and quick service was particularly impressive. The waiters wear shirts, bow ties and a nice apron, which gives the ambience an elegant touch. The bathrooms and toilets are extremely clean and modern - that's not a given and a big plus! The boss is also very friendly and runs a really great shop. A small negative point is the somewhat limited parking situation on the side streets, but you're happy to accept that. We'll definitely be back soon!

I have never been served so quickly in my life! The waiters are very quick and attentive! You don't have to wait hours for your food and you get exactly the drinks you ordered. In the case of allergies, care is taken to implement what is possible! The atmosphere is very cozy. You can reserve for several people (in any case for 10 people). The size of the restaurant suggests that there is a reservation option for several guests. Tableware and cutlery are ready to hand upon arrival. Even if you take a starter, you will be given a small soup to sample. Both the salad with chicken breast and the pork loin were very tasty. The butter rice that was served with the pork loins, the rice was also perfectly cooked and dressed! There were five of us in the restaurant using wheelchairs, and there were no problems with space. We were served quickly and friendly, and we all enjoyed the food! There was also an aperitif on the house to say goodbye. All in all a really nice and successful evening.
